Stopped by to take advantage of the lunch special offered. Its a pretty good deal, had the Ropa Vieja with the rice and beans with a Monopolio Clara beer. It was delicious and very satisfying. We also ordered the Chicharron, a nice piece of pork but lacked the crispy skin, when asked they said it was sourced that way and the dish is prepared Paraguay style. Next time we will ask to make sure there is crispy skin attached. Overall a very nice experience for lunch.

I have been here at 12pm. I have been here at 12am. This is a good place to be at no matter the time. The drinks are consistently good (I recommend the passionfruit or pineapple marg) and the French fries blow my mind every time. I like the salmon burger too. Service usually is good but the last two times it has taken an incredibly long time to get a beverage. However the vibes are usually very good.

For my first experience,I had a great time! I sat at the bar and Walter was warm and inviting. One of the best Mojitos Ive had in a while ( not too Sweet and strong). I would recommend enchiladas divorciada AND the tres leches cakes.Cant wait to go back on a Thursday for lotería ( Bingo) night!

It was a rainy Tuesday night right before Thanksgiving so it was quiet. The music wasn’t loud and my sister and I had great time enjoying our drinks—a frozen margarita for me and a Negroni for her. The tostones and guacamole were delicious and very happy we stopped in here.

Overall rating: 4.7My friend recommended this place to me claiming (!) they have really good espresso martinis. I was a bit cautious because they have such high ratings. From the outside, it looks like it’s just going to be a tourist spot.But going inside was a very different experience. The decor is so much fun and the vibe is awesome. Definitely brought some energy up which was needed. I sat at the bar and the bartender was really nice and still left me alone.The espresso martini was good & I had a chicken sandwich which was amazing. Total price of $35 including tip hurt a little, but that’s the city we live in now. I’d go back again if I’m in the area needing a place to hang. Highly recommend!

Best chilaquiles I’ve ever had!! Would also recommend the elotes and sangria! Great service and atmosphere. Plenty of vegetarian options. Good brunch and happy hour prices! Free salsa dancing lessons in the second room Sundays at 3. I will have to visit this place again next time I’m in town and will be recommending to everyone I know.

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this place! The food was great and authentic Mexican (as a Mexican myself, I can attest to it). I particularly liked the generously-portioned enchiladas de mole, the to-die-for tres leches cake, and the delicious jamaica (hibiscus) frozen margarita.The prices are more than fair, service excellent, and the decor/ambiance charming and fun; definitely a good vibe spot.The place has 2 sections: a bar and a restaurant (you can eat in either section), and there was a dance class (I think salsa) happening on Sunday afternoon. People were having fun all around.Will definitely be back!Oooh! And for my Law & Order co-fans, this place has been featured tons of times on the show!

Amazing gem! What a wonderful upgrade at this long history New York landmark. Love the new food menu and drinks. Mouth-watering Ropa Vieja, juicy Tuna Ceviche, flavorful Tres Leche cake as dessert. Splendid Frozen margarita tastes really great.I adore the spacious dining room for our birthday gathering. Its rare for New York restaurants to have such ample and open space. Warm and cozy ambience with dimly lit floating candles. Services are excellent. Staff and bartenders are super friendly and attentive. I feel as if I am on a vacation here. I recommend La Diaspora for lunch or dinner or just hangout around the bar area for drinks.

Good vibe and tropical decor at this Mexican bar/restaurant in Chinatown.The place was quite empty on a late Wednesday afternoon but started to fill up as the day went on. The staffs/bartender are really nice and friendly.We sat at one of the tables near the bar, there’s also a dinning room area as well. Not much can say on their food as my friend and I only had one drink and snacked on Guacamole and Fries.This is a good replacement to the old Italian joint in the area.

Im bad with names, but I think Freddy waited on us, and he was so friendly and personable. Sara was behind the bar and made us excellent drinks. This place is awesome—one of the best meals we had in NYC.We stumbled upon it on the edge of Chinatown, and I guess its just been open a few months. I wish them the greatest success, because I would love to come back here next time Im in NYC, and I recommend it to anyone who goes or lives there!

This place is a hidden gem! Delicious food, lots of vegan and vegetarian options. Delicious (strong!) drinks and a generous happy hour. Service is fantastic, our waiter was so nice and gave us a free tray of limoncello shots at the end of our dinner. The atmosphere and decor is really nice, the dining room has big comfy booths, and I appreciate that the music never got too loud, even on a Friday night. Highly recommend!

La Diáspora is lively and fun, but also a comfortable and cozy space to have lunch, or dinner without being overwhelmed by the action. I have tried several items here, but I have to say, the Enchiladas Divorciadas with their two types of salsas and, the Cubano sandwich, which Had to take a picture of, are my favorites. I highly recommend this place.
