This is my favorite neighborhood cafe, by far. Although I always do take it out, its perfect for meeting up with a friend or just getting some work done. The staff is very friendly and they remember your usual orders, which is great when I am in a rush. Anything you get, you will enjoy. I always get the Iced vanilla oat latte. Is so delicious, and well-prepared. Please try the breakfast sandwich, It’s a must! -

Uptown coffee shop serving fine coffee and eats on a quiet-ish street is Lennox Coffee. was recently in Harlem and stop in for a Sunday afternoon pick-me-up and was pleasantly delighted by caffeinated beverages, here. there is a good amount of seating inside and some seating outside the entrance. the vibe is relaxed and casual. the coffee dominates the space and there are nice touches like a sleeve of books lined up at the front window.ordered a cold brew with oat milk and it was good. the barista carefully took time making my drink and it showed in the end product. a smooth caffeinated drink perfect for strolling through a neighborhood and taking in its sights, sounds, and charms. this was a delicious drink—wish Lennox was closer to me as i’d be here a lot more often. cold brew, $4 + tax + tipthe staff is efficient. wasn’t super chatty but the coffee is good. -
Review 3 (2019-10-26 - Rating: 5)
This is very cordial, and warm setting. I had a cappuccino with soy milk. My efficacious coffee was just the right potency to cure that mid-day slump feeling. There was a young lady with dreads who helped me to choose a pastry that didnt have nuts in it; this was so help, otherwise I would be having an allergic reaction. The ambiance is very comfortable, low-key, and welcoming. I brought my friend, and she enjoyed the vibe as well. This is a great place to just unwind. -

Great cafe with a couple tables to sit and read— or work. They have great looking breakfast bowls, but I only tried the almond latte which was really good. Fast service. Seems like the go-to place for good coffee in East Harlem. -
Review 5 (2021-10-06 - Rating: 4)
Friendly staff & a very delicious latte - I ordered another after tasting and finishing the first cup. I liked the option of adding tomatoes to my cream cheese bagel, and I enjoyed a small, tasty banana-nut muffin. On a Sunday morning, the line of customers never stopped, but still they served us in a timely manner.Update: my next visit wasnt as great. The latte still tasted delicious, but the person on the counter was rigid and military-like. Totally a different experience from my first visit, so I deducted one star! -
Review 6 (2021-10-10 - Rating: 5)
There is always a line at 8am when they open but its actually pleasant -- gives you a time to slow down in this crazy city. Plus, it gives you a sense of how popular (and good!) this coffee shop is. :) The menu is actually larger than what they have on the black board, admittedly, it took me too long to figure that out. Haha. They also have a cute take-one-leave-one book section by the printer. You wont regret stopping by. ❤️ -

This was my favourite spot to have coffee in my stay in Harlem, I love it.Before you enter in, youll realize that theres a platform just outside of the place, with a big poster of the cafés name. The place is small, but really nice, it has wood tables and chairs, with some old lamps. This place gets crowded after 8am, so if want to have a seat youd better go early to avoid waiting for a seat.Like in almost every café, there are two lanes, one for order and other in order to wait for orders. Staff is really nice, they are very chatty, kind and welcoming, split in the cashier or preparing the coffee and food. There are a lot of food to have, including pastries, muffins or bagels. There are some different kind of muffins ( my favourite is the blueberries one ) and bagels, where you can choose both bagel and fillings, I sticked with cream cheese, and they also have some different ones. At the end you can have your bagel toasted and they will notify you when its ready.Apart from typical coffee-related beverages ( they have a lot of different ones ), you can find some kinds of teas or just a Chai Latte, which its really good.Theres a good place to work with your laptop, in fact there are a lot of people with it or just reading a book. The WiFi works really good, and you can find some power plugs on the walls. The ambient is nice and the music is low, but after midday in summer it gets a bit hot as the A/C isnt able to keep up with the heat, but under the fan is okey. -

A neighborhood favorite! The coffees are always great, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is chill. You can easily get some work done here, come alone and meet new people, or gather with a friend or two.I appreciate the latte art effort with to go orders as well! -
Review 9 (2017-06-26 - Rating: 5)
Was visitng the city and thought I would visit this little cafe for my birthday breakfast. For a Texas chic the place is very tiny. But the service was great, as was the coffee and food. The seating is limited and I was fortunate that someone was leaving. But I can see what the place was constantly full of people. -

Nice coffee shop with a hip vibe. Nice quality stone tables. But they dont have Wi-Fi, which is a bummer. -
Review 12 (2018-05-26 - Rating: 5)
Great hidden coffeehouse in Harlem. Very neighborly, and appropriate prices. I enjoy taking my midday coffee breaks here several times a week. -
Review 13 (2019-08-31 - Rating: 5)
This is a great coffee spot in Harlem! I love the coffee here. I buy the beans to make coffee at home and now I can barely stand the taste of other coffee spots. I definitely recommend.Con: limited limited seating. This is not the place to go if you want to chill and work for a few hours. You may be able to do that if you are lucky enough to find a table. In the summer they have some “outdoor seating” but I use that term loosely. -
Review 14 (2022-06-11 - Rating: 5)
Such a cute hidden gem in Harlem . I loved the vibe, the music and the coffee- got myself oat milk latte with lavender syrup and it was very good. Will definitely go back. -
Review 15 (2019-11-23 - Rating: 5)
Nice little coffee spot that I just happened to stumble by the other day. The area keeps on getting nicer and nicer and nicer. There’s a little spot makes a nice cappuccino and offers you a nice environment to get some work done if need be. If you’ve got the time check out the Jazz Museum next-door -
Review 16 (2021-09-27 - Rating: 5)
Excellent coffee (cold brew, espresso drinks etc), tasty food, friendly staff. The yogurt / honey bowl with all the toppings is my favorite heathy lunch in the area. Nice outdoor seating area as well, and there’s a little exchange-a book-library for added charm. -
Review 17 (2022-06-15 - Rating: 5)
Best coffee in town (which in NYC says A LOT). I go 8 blocks out of my way passing 4 other coffee shops along the way to make sure I start my day right. The coffee is great, the baristas are wonderful, and the food is ok. If you are a caffeine junkie spectacular coffee definitely trumps spectacular food. -
Review 18 (2017-11-28 - Rating: 5)
Great place to sit down and do some work while having a nice coffee and pastry. The place is pretty warm and community based. Some days they have live jazz as well as comedy and poetry. The staff is very nice. I love the coffee as well. Just love this place! -
Review 19 (2022-05-13 - Rating: 5)
I’ve been getting my latte for Lenox for months now and I can say that their servings are flavorful. The place is cozy and well-curated, perfect for friendly meet-ups. The people here are super nice and highly efficient, so even if I’m in a rush, I still go to Lenox. -
Review 20 (2021-10-09 - Rating: 5)
Lenox coffee has been a staple in my routine both before and during this pandemic. I cant express how much it means to walk into a place and feel such a sense of community. The shop has an amazing vibe so it’s unfortunate we can’t eat inside right now, but understandable, they just want their customers to be safe. So they have super cute curb side tables. Open mic night outside is my absolute favorite! The coffee and pastries are amazing. Everything from a straight black coffee to my extra hot, oatmilk lattes to my iced americanos… you really cant go wrong. Please try their blueberry scone, you wont regret it.The hours are generous for a coffee shop. The staff has always been friendly to me, most know me by name. Ive always witnessed courtesy and professionalism from their staff and actually once was there to witness them on the receiving end of horrible treatment and they responded gracefully. I could never after how the barista was treated. Which is what’s prompting this review. People, its a pandemic. These small businesses, like Lenox, are navigating ever changing restrictions and regulations, and trying their best to keep customers safe and satisfied during a global pandemic. The world needs more Lenox Coffees. Bravo Lenox! -
Review 21 (2015-05-31 - Rating: 4)
I come here for my hot chocolate and almond brioche fix sometimes. Great coffee, and pastries and a nice staff running the place. Despite the shops small size, it has hosted poetry readings, AIDS Walk fundraisers, and lots of other events within its walls. I do wish it were bigger as its a popular spot for the laptop set. It can be hard to get a seat sometimes. B -
Review 22 (2019-02-15 - Rating: 5)
Amazing atmosphere. The baristas make beautiful lattes. I ordered mine with oat milk. I came here on a rainy day and it was the perfect spot to be! It definitely gives off positive Harlem vibes. -
Review 23 (2019-08-22 - Rating: 5)
Friendly staff and great food options. Needless to say their coffee is delicious!! -
Review 24 (2013-08-16 - Rating: 4)
Dropped in here after visiting the library and felt quite at home. The place isnt very big but they pack in a lot of tables and chairs. It almost feels too crowded but somehow manages to still feel okay. Things are cozy and it seems like a nice spot to come hang with friends or get a bit of work done. Yep, there are outlets and free wifi and the pastries are quite tasty, -
Review 25 (2016-12-02 - Rating: 5)
Their cold brew coffee is on tap and on point! The flavor is nutty and earthy with a smooth finish and no bitterness. I didnt try their pastries but they looked amazing! Walk the extra block or two and hit this place up, rather than the global-chains. -
Review 26 (2020-01-02 - Rating: 5)
Excellent coffee and great food - love their mozzarella sandwich with soppressata. Lenox also has a chill, welcoming vibe - we loved going here during our visit to Harlem and would definitely become regular customers if we lived there! -
Review 27 (2019-05-12 - Rating: 5)
Cool place to hang out, I sat by the window til a table opened up. Treats are great. Service is awesome. Wi-fi is good ( 90 minutes?). Espresso is good, coffee is not bad, just a different flavor bean than Im used to. Packed always and easy to spot off of Lenox. I actually found it on Google Maps bc I visit my mother in law and often run, afterwards enjoying a cup of coffee. Healthy mixed patronage, kid friendly. Not sure that prices are high.. large servings of coffee, and didnt seem any more than Starbucks. -
Review 28 (2019-12-21 - Rating: 5)
We had a vanilla latte and an oat milk latte with a brownie. It was really great and would come back for sure. One of the best coffee places in Harlem. -
Review 29 (2019-01-13 - Rating: 5)
Warm and inviting coffee shop where the locals get their caffeine fix. Soy milk is sweetened the perfect amount. They offer a good selection of breakfast pastries plus hot breakfast sandwiches for the more ravenous. Would certainly recommend to a friend. -
Review 30 (2018-09-29 - Rating: 5)

Review 33 (2013-04-07 - Rating: 4)
Thank God for Lenox Coffee.Coffee and tea are amah-zing. Atmosphere is hip and relaxed, something that could easily entice to while your day away sitting at one of their tables, with nice music in the background, and peruse your Mac. Pastries are excellent. I wish they had more to offer on the sandwich/salad side, this is very limited.Beer and wine is offered since recently.Culture of the place is setting a higher standard in Harlem. Thank you, Lenox coffee! -

After having a miserable experience at a different coffee place in lower Manhattan, this place was a joy to behold. Employees seemed like they loved their jobs and that transcends throughout the store. Very happy we found this place the coffee was great and the food was excellent. Great representation of Harlem! Definetly try the Tuna for brunch! -

Review 87 (2020-10-03 - Rating: 4)
Love this place!! I get breakfast from here almost everyday! The service is quick and the staff is super friendly and polite. I love the outdoor set up and the happy hour they offer on weekdays. However, on the weekends, the service isnt as good. My order is either incorrect or the food is cold and not toasted as I request. This has happened on several occasions & I wont be stopping by on the weekends anymore just the weekdays until the service gets a better. -

This coffee shop was super cute! There was some construction around it which sucked but that’s not the shop’s fault. The service was great and the coffee was very good as well. There’s an open mic night on Mondays which unfortunately I missed, but it sounded like a nice experience. I hope to go back once I’m back in Harlem! -

Review 100 (2018-09-24 - Rating: 4)
I swung by here this afternoon for the first time. Order a gigantic peanut butter cookie and a medium coffee. Both were perfectly on point, except for the coffee being a little cooler than I’d like in a fresh coffee. I’ll attribute that to coming in at 4:30 on a Monday afternoon. I’ll be back and will probably switch this to a 5 Star with a hotter cup of joe. -

I absolutely love this spot! In the last 9 months since the two sisters bought the place, I’ve seen it used for Open Mic, Jazz/Comedy Nights, Art Gallery (for kids), Women’s empowerment groups, fundraising, and even a monthly pop-up shop for local clothing designers. I love it here. Plus, they set up a projector to watch the World Cup. Hiyo!!! -

Used to live in the building next door. Coffee is great. However, its small so there is not a lot of space to sit. On top of that people tend to set up and never leave. If youre tired of Starbucks, its worth it to come here for something different. -

Nice and RARE spot in the area where you can eat healthy, and love their little toasts with either Tuna, Egg, or Avocado, they are super nice, and announced this morning theyll be serving soup, really nice place that tries harder and as a result is always full -

Great coffee (they use Stumptown predominantly) and baked goods. They’ve also started doing breakfast bowls that are healthy + delicious. The baristas behind the counter are speedy and I’ve never had to wait super long. I’ve never had it, but they also have a few taps and must have a chill bar setup in the evenings. Make sure you sign up for their loyalty program, as they are smart about promotions. The only thing I don’t love — they redid their floor space in the past year and got rid of a lot of the chairs. There was never anywhere to sit before, and now it’s worse. Place on taking that coffee to Marcus Garvey Park. -

Hidden behind scaffolding right now but a GREAT place for coffee and pastries. I had their vege sandwich/roll which was delicious and filling. The coffee is delicious and youre made to feel bad if you stay back and use their wifi and work for an hour or two (as some places sometimes guilt you into...). Love this place... plus, they have wines and beer! -
