    Great option to do something unique in the city with some friends! The price overall is a little steep but it’ll be fun while you are there. The instructors are great (we had Gabriel) and they help you get the axe sticking in just a few throws.Getting there early in the day is fun since you basically have the place to yourselves and it isn’t loud. There’s plenty of room to drink and sit down after throwing as well.The place looks slick and worth a visit if you haven’t been before.Drinks are on point.

    We had a great time. Our cage captain Sonny was the best. He helped us all become pros and kept the fun going! The menu is limited and not the best tasting. However, the drinks were great.

    First off, the food was delicious! It was a great addition to the experience, allowing us to enjoy the lamb sandwich and the short ribs was the best Ive had!The atmosphere was lively and fun, making it a perfect spot for a unique work outing. The group host provided excellent instruction and vibe, which helped everyone in my team feel comfortable and confident with axe throwing and games. We all had such a great time.

    Trevor is an amazing cage coach! He did an excellent job training everyone to ensure that we all had had sufficient skill with the axe to play the team games. He kept the atmosphere lively and checked in on everyone to make sure that we were all having a good time (which we were indeed). The food was delicious and the atmosphere very enjoyable. It’s a great place for a corporate event. I highly recommend Live Axe and ask for Trevor as your cage coach.

    Had such a blast! Cocktails are phenomenal. We were greeted at the door with open arms even though we did not have a reservation. Michelle, our axe throwing specialist was amazing! She helped us all with our throwing skills and was an absolute pleasure with our party. 100% will be back!

    This is my 6th time at live axe in the last year and a half and it’s ALWAYS an amazingggg time !!! Only tried food once , a cheese pizza and it was good. My drinks are always good. Service is also always good. the employees are very engaging , entertaining and make the experience as fun as possible ! I tried rage room for the first time here and I had a blast! Plus the decor is gorgeous ! Got a lot of really nice photos. Highly recommend this place to anyone especially couples who are competitive looking to have A good time!!!

    First time axe throwing and it was so much fun! Went for a corporate outing. We only had drinks. DT was an amazing host and did a great job of explaining the rules and keeping us engaged and entertained. Great drink options.The facility is clean and neat. There were lots of people and the rest room was spotless, well kept and had everything it needed to have.Highly recommend & I will come back.

    Axe throwing in Manhattan, it can’t get much cooler. DT was our instructor and he was great. This experience was really fun and safe at the same time. The drinks are a bit expensive and the pizza along with the pretzel were pretty good too. Pay attention to your tab because 20% gratuity was added automatically.

    Brought me and my friends here last minute for my 23rd birthday and I’m so glad I did. Literally was the highlight of our night and we cannot stop talking about it. Trevor made our experience so much more fun and we all felt very safe. Kat at the bar was also lovely. I didn’t get a chance to try their food, but would definitely come back to try.For me and my six friends I think it was definitely worth the price, especially considering how much fun we had.

    We had a terrific time!! Caroline was an excellent coach and we had a blast! We did drinks and not food this time around. The drinks were all great. All in all an amazing g outing!!

    Our instructor was Brendyn. He was great, clear and fun! It is def a great place for friends and date night! We didnt get food but drinks were good. Got the Ursula which is a bit bitter but it was good.

    My friends and I had the best time ever throwing axes at live axe. We were there celebrating a very big birthday of mine, and from the moment we got there both the service and the food was impeccable. The service woman waited on us with regard to checking us in and service. Food was amazing. Unfortunately, we did not get her name, but she was terrific. Ophelia who was our guide if you will, Was terrific and fun all of us enjoyed learning from her and laughing with her. She was the best! I have shared our positive experience with a number of my friends who hope to head down there for fun.

    We had a blast! Fun place to have a cocktail (which was delish!) The staff was all super nice and our axe guy Chris was awesome!!! Funny, went along with our crazy vibe, super supportive and a great axe coach! I went from it bouncing to bulls eyes! Ask for him-he rocks!

    In a word: excellent. From the atmosphere to the efficiency of the waiver and prep process to manner of all the staff, this was an enjoyable experience all around. Chris, in particular, is a true boon to the business. He is able to connect with all sorts of folks, which is a rare skill, and he effortlessly guided us through our first rage room. 10/10 experience.

    I took my employees here for a team outing, and we had an incredible time! The coach we had was extremely nice and funny, I recommend asking to be paired with Trevor. He made all 10 of us feel safe, and entertained. The food was great, and serving size is decent to share with a few people. The drinks were great as well. I give this place a solid 10/10!

    Company holiday party was hosted here and I will say everyone on staff was lovely! Very enthusiastic and fun! I had the pleasure of being trained by Sonny and he tried his best with me but I was too scared 😂😂😂 overall it was a great time and experience !

    Stop by Live Ave in Lafayette St by Manhattan Chinatown for some live axe throwing action while you can also eat and drink here. For a 45-minute session, it costs 60 per person for use of the axe cage. Their wonderful, friendly, and professional staffs will guide you through the safety steps to ensure you would not hurt yourself. They will bring your cocktails and food to your cage so you can enjoy eating and drinking while have a great time axe throwing. So what are you waiting for? Go throw some axes!

    I was shocked at how much fun I had here. We did a work team building event. Our host was wonderful and engaging and really made our experience perfect. Food is typically unhealthy American fare and it was all pretty good. Overall, I loved it and would actually be excited if I had to do an axe throwing team building event again.

    Came here for a work outing. They had decorations up for Halloween and the atmosphere was nice! The person guiding us through the throwing techniques was very patient with us. And overall it was a fun two hour experience.

    Went here to celebrate my daughters birthday on a Sunday evening. The vibe was very cool and laid back, for an axe bar. 🪓 I was maybe expecting rock music and pints of beer 🍻Music was chill and varied. The service from our host and server, CeeCee was prompt and professional. And now for our Cage Captain, Steven. This guy had awesome energy from the beginning and kept it throughout 👏🏿. His humor is definitely not for the sensitive, and I appreciated that. Lol. We all had a great time and will definitely be back!!!

    My husband and I along with our two friends had the absolute best time at Live Axe. Our coach Brendan was really nice and did a great job of helping us get better at throwing axes. I felt empowered and successful despite the fact that I generally dont consider myself athletic or someone who has particularly good aim. 😂 Great for date nights or just night out with friends. I could even see it as a team building activity with coworkers. Will be back again!

    Had a great time at Live Axe, lots of street parking, great food and drinks, super friendly and creative staff. I had never thrown axes before so this was a novel activity for me. When you start throwing axes for the first time you feel a rush of adrenaline like no other. I highly recommend this place for your next personal outing or corporate team building.

    Went yesterday with my sister,to do the rage room. We was in there for about 45 minutes and it was so much fun,getting everything out. Being able to break things,the person working there let us pick out our own music. Even when we was getting tired ,he was on the mic and pushed us to keep going. It’s a must do if you need to let that anger out

    Steven and Caroline was the best. Taught me how to throw an axe effectively. They are very friendly and very informative when it comes to how to throw an axe, even if you are throwing the wrong way. I highly recommend this place. Been here 4 times and each time was great! ❤️✨

    I went w 2 other friends & we all agreed overall it was a good first experience. Satisfying to break things but they only allow 2 people in at a time in a small hot room. Wish we could’ve all been in there but I guess that’s more of a safety thing. They had plates & laptops for us to break, if they had more variety that would’ve been great. The service was great though, the commentary from our monitor was hilarious & the lady at the front was super nice. Drinks were pretty good but at $17 it most definitely should be & didn’t try the food. If you’re thinking about going and have an extra $100 to spend then I’d say it’s worth trying out.

    I had an amazing time at Live Axe. I celebrated my birthday/ladies night outing there. Our axe coach Kevin was fun & kept us entertained. Only thing I would say about Live axe is they need to upgrade their menu. They serve appetizers, which is perfect but they dont sell wings. And who dont love wings. Overall I recommend this place for date night, family day or just hanging with your friends

    I had the most incredible experience celebrating my sister’s 16th birthday at LiveAxe! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating (they made my sister and I fruity mocktails!) plus, they treated my food allergies with incredible care. For example, given the severity of my allergies, one of the bartenders took the time to make my meal himself. He went as far as to deliver the plate himself so I could ask him any lingering questions. This made me feel as comfortable as possible enjoying my dish! Our Axe instructor, Brandon, was also incredible!! He made the entire axe-throwing experience fun and enjoyable for both us + the other couple who had joined our cage (we had booked the shared cage option) Will definitely be returning!

    Exceptional service. Specifically Sunny was such an incredibly instructor and Zack (if I remember correctly) being extremely accommodating for our needs. Our bartender was also exceptional to make so many drinks for a massive group of people 10/10 experience and I have recommended this event to our entire company. Apart from that a complete overhaul of your food menu is needed and although the brochure said we had choices of items nothing was ever discussed with us and they decided to bring whatever to our group which I was annoyed by.

    I have been here a few times. I love the lodge-like - cabin atmosphere and the photo room downstairs; tickets are easy to get online or on-site, and filling out the waivers is very quick. While you wait for your cage, you can enjoy some snacks, drink, and even watch a game; This location is nicely organized, clean, the staff is charming & follows all covid safety protocols. The food and drinks are excellent, and the cage captains are friendly and patient.The wood target boards could use a change more often. Our wooden board was pretty beat up, and our ax broke even while throwing—overall a fun place to go and enjoy in NY.

    I came for my friends birthday and it was one of the best activities Ive done during a night outing in quiet sometime. Its easy to learn and catch on. The drinks are good and the food is tapas style so dont come here expecting a meal.I will definitely come again and also my instructor and I share the same birthday so we bonded over that.

    First timers on a date!We had Elliot looking after us - he made the experience ten times more fun with great exciting & creative games - also surprisingly easy and . He took photos and videos of us kindly. A perfect weekend date night - something different, easy to learn but simultaneously challenging, active, out of the ordinary, fun, interactive, playfully competitive and a unique experience to remember.Try to get Elliot, he explains and teaches fast & easily - I’ve never done this before and picked it up after the second throw.

    Want to learn how to throw axes? Want to drink beer while you’re doing it? Of course you do. That’s why you’re googling this place. Set up a reservation online and stop by. It’s well worth it. You get an hour in the cages. Plenty of time to hone your axe skills. The instructors will teach you proper technique if you’re a rookie. Follow their rules and you can’t miss. My instructor was Colin. Great chap with positive energy. All in all, good times. Oh yeah, and you get to take pictures at the end :).

    One of those things you do once or twice a year. Its fun but probably not something I would do often. The food is basic bar food and full bar. Go here for the axe throwing and drinks. Then head to Chinatown for some eats.

    June 2, 2023:The staff is amazing, loved the ambiance and the drinks were good! Jason was very helpful in teaching me and my friends how to throw and made the experience super fun!Update: December 2, 2024I went this past Saturday to celebrate my birthday with some of my family, and we had a blast! This time, I did the rage room instead of axe throwing. Gabe was such a great host, and the staff overall are really friendly and sociable. The drinks are still good, I got a Blue Hawaiian. I recommend the cauliflower pizza, its really good and better than the regular flatbread pizza. I also had the pretzel and the chicken tender skewers. The skewers werent that good, however.It can be a little pricey there, but its worth it!

    I took my family here for Father’s Day while on vacation in New York City and we had the best time. The atmosphere is amazing. Ray was a phenomenal instructor, he was incredibly encouraging and his energy was infectious.     I didn’t enjoy the food options but that’s just my personal preference. The experience itself was amazing. Steven our host was incredible. Customer service overall was great. The manager (I think) offer us a free snack because they were a little delayed it shows how amazing customer service is. I rate this place a 10/10 recommend.

    My friend and I had a great time! We booked for a Saturday afternoon and it was so much fun and a therapeutic way to let off steam.     I decided to book for Live Axe for an after work outing with a coworker. It was definitely worth the visit! We were greeted by friendly staff, offered to get drinks at the bar before our session, and had tons of laughs with our instructor Steven. We were instructed on how to throw the axes safely and had enough time to practice so we felt more comfortable with throwing and perfecting the technique. There were also instagram-worthy décor in the lower level for photos. I recommend this place if you want to have a fun activity with friends or coworkers.

    Its definitely an exciting experience! My friends and I booked the small group private cage for 1 hour. Our axe cage captain was Gabriel, and he was great. He walked us through the rules, how to throw the axes, and gave feedback on our performances. He kept things exciting and enjoyable. Not only that, he was supportive and maximized our time with exercises and games, so no time felt wasted. Overall, it was memorable and a fun way to spend time with friends!On a separate note, we didnt order any food or drink, so I can not comment on that. However, I love how they design their interior. If you want to take pictures with your friends, they have some photogenic spots in the basement and ground floor.

    We had a great time at Live Axe. The only thing that I would call out for future customers is the package deals. We had a party of 10 and the package ended up costing 1500.00 for two hours.     Such a fun night- this place rocks. They were wonderfully accommodating when we were late for our reservation. The atmosphere is cool and edgy while still being inviting. The drinks were great- tasty and strong. The food was ok - while the giant pretzel and the cauliflower crust pizza was good, the loaded baked potato was over-loaded and still bland. The mushroom flatbread was just all right.But what you’re really here for is axe throwing, and that was so much fun. They give you training and instructions to start and then coach your group through games. It was such a good time- it’s more challenging than you think! Gabriel was our instructor, and he was fantastic: funny, encouraging and kept the energy up for the whole reservation. I super recommend this place for a friends night out, group date, or team building experience.

    It was great, no complaints! Very good for large groups - we were 20 people and it was tons of space. 1.5 hrs was more than enough for all 20 to go several times. The instructor was great and made it really fun - once everyone had practiced & learned, he organized a big tournament in teams which was great.Did not try the drinks but they are definitely overpriced (closed to $20 each) and apparently just average - ie not worth the price. The food selection also wasn’t great. But we came for the axe throwing and that was great!!It also felt much safer than I expected before arriving, as this was my first time axe throwing. Don’t let that waiver scare you!

    Had my first time axe throwing with a friend at this spot. Kat, our axe throwing coach, is definitely the star of the show and deserves a raise.     Took a friend here for her birthday. We ended up showing up 15 minutes late but they were able to hold the reservation for us. The venue was appeared small but when you are in your own cage, you have breathing room.Our instructor, Elliott, was the perfect mix of super helpful and wise while making the experience super fun and slightly competitive. Our 45 minute session felt like the perfect amount of time, but that was the fact that it was just the two of us. It might feel like less with a party of 6 or more. One minor compliant was that we ordered a pretzel to share but we never got it. I say minor because, there wasnt time to enjoy a pretzel with the games we played. Also the bartender sincerely apologized.Overall, it was a fun experience. Dont let the idea of throwing an axe deter you from trying it with friends and family. I recommend to everyone to go here.

    We had a great time here with our birthday party. The host was exceptionally awesome and really made the experience. Our only problem was with the food service – we asked for them to bring out our cake for the birthday individual and they just plopped the box onto our table and called it quits. No setting the cake out, no utensils, no plates, no lighter – literally just took the box out of their fridge and that’s all. A bit of a strange experience that left a sour taste after such a great time.

    I went here for my office holiday party. We had an absolute blast. All of the ax throwing instructors were amazing. I have a dairy allergy and the only thing that I could eat off of their menu was the pretzel. Everything else on the menu had dairy on it. So the only thing that I would suggest is that they have some chicken fingers or a burger or something that doesn’t have cheese and dairy on it. Other than that, I had an absolute amazing time. I can’t wait to go back.

    Visited the evening of Dec 13, 2023. The Axe instructing team in the downstairs area are phenomenal!! So was cook in the kitchen, whom I asked about some of the food being served and what was in it due to personal restrictions. The bartender was also coo.The instructors are funny, easy going, welcoming, and really great at showing you the dos n donts of throwing Axes. These 3 guys down there really set a pleasant and entertaining tone. The MAJOR disappointment here is the food itself, unfortunately. The super salty pretzel, bland and lack luster vegetable skewers , chicken skewers, and floppy bland pizzas and the corn on the cob pieces ( random) were just ... disappointing all n all. Very subpar and bland. The only item that was pretty good was the Lamb sliders. The fact that is was lamb being served really surprised me.If I could suggest one thing , it would be to please step it up on the food options or completely get rid of n replace some items and really bring items that folks would love. Chicken wings, or chicken strips. I dunno, just a suggestion. All n all its a fun place.

We had a big party of 9, and since Live Axe has ranges for their groups (our group size was 9-12), we were able to adjust our group depending on who was able to make it or not. They were very accommodating by storing our surprise birthday cake in their fridge and our instructor was very fun, energetic, and knowledgeable about not only axe-throwing, but also fun games to get the big group involved. Our waitress was attentive with taking drink orders. Overall, it was a smooth, exciting experience and we will definitely be back again! Thank you for making our birthday celebration so special!

    I went yesterday as a early mothers day surprise and I was overjoyed and amazed at the wonders of this gem. Super clean amazing and friendly staff. Nikki thank you for showing this Rasta couple a great time. Oh and yall gotta try their drinks. I had something called the Viking.... So strong and yummy. It was worth every penny. Definitely going again

    The staff was so nice and professional. We’d only threw axes once before at a different venue. This place was much nicer! We got great axe throwing tips from our instructor. We will definitely go back this summer! I recommend “Live Axe” to everyone. Try it once and you’ll go back!

    This is a must try experience ! Priscilla was our guide and safety officer and she was great. After some quick instruction we were off and throwing! We played several games and had a blast. Even our 15 year old daughter loved it! A cool bar and a great vibe. Make sure you check out the photo ops downstairs as well! So much fun.

    Had a double date and drinks but didnt order food. Its okay! Moving forward, the instructor we had his name is Steve just like my uncle. We had a blast with him. We share zodiac signs even though hes a sagittarius lol He made it very competitive and add a little extra GOD OF WAR moment for me to throw the axe.... Make sure ya TIp these services....

    My son and I had a BLAST! Everyone was pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. Our host knew exactly how to help and kept things fun and competitive. The atmosphere was super cool and there were even photo rooms in the basement. We cannot wait to come back!!

    This was my first time Axe throwing. Trevor helped us and he was amazing! If I walked in without confidence (which I did, i thought the axe might fly back at me), Trevor sure hyped us up and gave me that confidence I needed to succeed at the game! My husband and I enjoyed ourselves! He offered to take pictures of us for us, he was funny and cool! Definitely had a good time and if we lived in New York, we would come back here!

    Did a team outing here that had a few last minute changes day of. The team was accommodating of providing solutions and overall were a pleasure to work with. Ambiance is exactly what you might expect for axe throwing, gritty, industrial but clean and pleasant.

    Good times and great cheer mixing drinks with tossing axes 🪓🪓🪓. If you like darts youll probably like this since its much easier to bullseye with consistency. Staff is super from door to servers and safety couches. Great service with affable personalities.

    Great experience at live axe. It was also my instructors first day but he had a great personality and we liked him. He gave me great tips. I ordered drinks when i was seated , i paid and waited and waited until we went to my cage and after about 10 minutes more my instructor inquired and we finally got our drinks. We wouldve loved for at least Coors or Corona to have been on the drink list and at least some wings and burgers. Overall we loved throwing the axe.

    I went here to celebrate my best friends Bachelor Party! Fun and intense! Sonny Trans, the instructor and game master, was very helpful in giving tips of how to throw and a great motivator! The drinks were good! And the entire atmosphere was a great vibe! Greatly recommend to coming here!

    Signal was such a great host! We were a party of 6 and he made sure each of us got a lot time throwing. The games were awesome, challenging, and rewarding! Even if you’ve never thrown before, Signal made it just as accessible, safe, and as much fun for beginners as seasoned Vikings. The food and drinks were great, the energy was ridiculously, hilariously fun, and I would totally bring friends again.

    Went here for my birthday with a group of friends for a fun activity! The place is a whole vibe of its own. If you like taking pictures they have a few spots for some fun pictures! The drinks are pretty and fancy. Our team leader Stevie was super nice and made our time their just perfect. I can’t wait to go back there again! A little pricy, but the experience and ambiance was worth it.
