    One of the last decent bars in the neighborhood. When I was in the area recently I was disappointed to hear that a staple, B Side had recently closed down. But, the atmosphere at Lucky is nice, happy hour prices were just as good, and the bartenders were definitely less rude. Granted, to have a better attitude than a B-side employee is an extremely low bar but its definitely something. Would come back here again next time Im in the area.

    I love this bar and so does my dog. We have been coming here since the late summer of 2024 and have only had great times. The bartender on Friday nights is really cool and friendly. Be careful which day you go tho as sometimes NYU bros show up and act obnoxious but that isnt the bars fault.

    Lucky what can I say sorry guys should have written this way sooner if I could give it a ten i would. Followed the bar on instagram from March this year and visited in September spent at least 6 afternoons/ nights in the bar over the 2weeks I was over. Loved the bar and staff and was never on my own. Miss the bar and will be back soon.

    One of the few classic nyc dive bars left. Been here on a few nights. Saturday nights can get pretty packed, its usually the same green haired bartender working. Just her. Yet she makes sure every one has a drink, with very little time waiting. She has the perfect demeanor needed to deal with rude customers that stroll on through thinking theyre going to come hang out in the EV like its second season of the Jersey Shore. Get the F outta here. Lucky is a real-life fun time.

    Classic divey rock n roll bar in Alphabet City. They have an outdoor patio and $3 beers and somehow it’s never too slammed for comfort and has remained a neighborhood bar. Never a bad vibe there. No real reason to go anywhere else unless you want a super fancy cocktail, but like, how many of those even matter after the first one or 2. Drink your fancy cocktails around the corner then go here. See? I’ve planned your whole night for you. You’re welcome.

    Lucky hit the jackpot when they hired Karen! Me and my friends had the most fun hanging out with her last night. She was working the bar we couldn’t believe it when she admitted it was her first night. The jukebox had a mind of its own but it’s ok because Karen’s signing voice made up for it. We’ll be back for more late night fun.

    Lucky is so awesome. The owner, Abbey, has poured her life into his place. She is always changing up the cocktail specials and having fun little events there. This is a place that definitely deserves your support. I highly recommend you go and say hello!

    Awesome outdoor space especially when the weather is nice. They give a little discount if you pay with cash, so if youre saving your pennies... Bring physical money. The bartender was super nice and welcoming. Loved the atmosphere.

    Great little joint that brings me back to the old school NY bars I loved like ST Bar and Joes.Not really a scenester spot. Just a good place for cool eclectic folk.Good tunes, great staff, cozy yet energetic vibe, and it attracts a friendly crowd.I like!

    So rare to find a really comfortable neighborhood place with private backyard outdoor space in the East Village! The bar is great, the prices are affordable, and its always a good time (plus I recognized some of the decorations from Burning Man!)

    This place sucks!! Dont come here!! You wont find any redeeming qualities here.(I want to keep this place secret for myself.)They renovated the old Boxcar Lounge and made it even more cozy and accommodating.     Lucky is a new look on an old staple: the neighborhood bar. Lucky offers a unique juke box, a back yard with tables, a long bar, a few high tops and a unisex bathroom. There is often a promotion going on. There is often a contest going on (decorate a sugar skulll, for example). There are sometimes events happening (pumpkin carving! birthday parties! holiday bazzar!) So much for such a little space. Drink specials are interesting - ask!
