    We showed up at about 2pm and the place was completely empty which was great! The portions were generous but the service took incredibly long (30-40mins). Nice place to chill and have a drink if youre not in a hurry to eat.

    M J Smiths is a hidden gem in New York. Its got a very Irish pubby feel with alcohol that doesnt break your bank. The wait staff is professional and friendly. The wait time is quick and the alcohol is tasty. They have a wide variety to boot and theres a lot of space. Price is better than most of the inner city.A must see in New York.

    Stopped in for a pint and a bite - brilliant service , food was fab and reasonably priced a good pint of Guinness - very friendly staff , highly recommend.

    Sioban, was great for my service. The cuisine was excellent. I had the parmisan chicken and bacon white bean medley. Completely delicious! The gin and tonics were great. Would visit again!

    LOVE this place. Discovered it recently and have been back twice a week. Burgers are amazing, fresh hand cut fries which you almost never see anymore. Had the fish and chips tonight and the portion of fish was incredible. Service always top notch and reasonable pricing, especially for the quality and quality. This will remain a go-to much/happy hour/ dinner spot!

    Went with a group of friends on Saturday- had a great evening! The wait staff was friendly and quick with service. The food was hot, fresh and quite good - had shoestring zucchini and quesadillas. Everyone in our party was happy with their dinner and drinks .At 7 we danced to the baby boomer dance party- an enjoyable evening. Highly recommend

    Cocktail was great. It was fairly quiet when I was there. Great change from the touristy places even though its an easy walk to Times Square.

    I was wondering around Midtown, unsure where to grab a bite.I happened to be standing near this establishment, and the door was locked. I almost skipped over it but someone came to open the door and let me in.The food is memorable.The service - very friendly.I look forward to a return trip and to sample other items on the menu!

    Amazing food and service with a great atmosphere. We will be back. We enjoyed the fish tacos and Brussels sprouts, odd combo we know. They give really generous portions and the value is so here.

    We rented out the 2nd floor of MJ Smiths for a 60th birthday party. Attracta and Nick were very accommodating to our needs throughout the planning process. The space is fantastic, the food was great, and the staff especially made all of our guests feel welcome. Highly recommend; these guys are pros!

    Popped in for the Internazionale v Liverpool match. Bartender was friendly and chatty. Chicken pot pie was delicious and the Reds won. So all in all, a great afternoon!

    We dinned here last night and had a blast. Everything from the ambiance, service and food was amazing. Special shout out to Mike L who took great care of us with excellent and sincere service. We have a 9 month old baby and we dine out frequently, Mike L went above and beyond for my son with anything we needed. He even offered to wash his Binky off after my son threw it on the floor. Cheers to you, Mike L for making a great memorable experience for me and my family.

    I literally had the best fish and chips Ive ever had in my life. The Cod was flaky White and fresh. The coating was extra crispy and delicious. Everything was great and the Guinness was delicious as well. I dont know what they did but there was something extra delicious about this place. Derek was the bartender and waiter and was very helpful and the service was excellent. My husband had the burger and it was thick and juicy and perfectly cooked and seasoned and the roll was perfect. I know Im being redundant buti it was great.
