    Why is the sun always shining and the weather always perfect when I end up at Maiden Lane? Could be a coincidence. Could be witchcraft.The tinned fish and salty drinks create the perfect city-coastal escape. The tanned California transplants working out inside Tompkins Sq. Park will also make you feel as though you’re at a beach. Just beware the occasional villager passing by who makes eye contact with you as you drool over your martini and fish.

    Nice cozy bar, with large & affordable drinks! The standout from my experience here was the bartender/ chef, Alejandro, who so kindly gave me and my friends some free bar snacks!! And he also gave us some flowers to take home 😭🤍 he was so sweet and generous, he really made our time there memorable.

    Neighborhood bar on avenue b serving up food (like highly underrated tinned seafood!), booze, and a relaxed vibe. good amount of seating both inside and outside. friendly service. cheap beer options like $5 Narragansett’s cans. day drinkers rejoice! CHEERS

    Great bartenders, strong cocktails, and cold beer. Perfect date vibe throughout the week, pops off with a mixed and fun crowd on the weekends. The tinned fish selection is great and imported from abroad.The times listed are from covid days. They’re open until 12am on the weekdays and 2am on Fri and Sat.

    This became our local for the 3 months we lived on Tompkins Square. Always managed to get a seat outside, great people watching, good selection of ales, and generously boozy cocktails. The tinned seafood is worth a try too.

    Ridiculous. The food is beyond top notch. Service even better. They didnt have the shrimp for. The ceviche available when we ordered, hooked us up with marinated beets with creme fresh, orange zest, and pumpkin seeds. Words do not do justice. Just. Go. Now.

    Very nice place to eat a late lunch or dinner. Sit outside if you can. Hearty, down to earth food. Cured and preserved fish based dishes - tastier than it might sound. I recommend getting a tin of sardines or scallops, served with bread and butter.

    Fun vibes. Somewhere a chill neighborhood bar and an upbeat party spot. My only real complaint is the unnecessary DJ taking up a large chunk of the bar all he could play the most unremarkable house music Ive ever heard. Could easily have been a Spotify playlist.

    If youre a fan of sardines and/or anchovies, absolutely come through. The staff has a matter-of-fact attitude that fits the vibe of the place. Tons of canned fish options, served alongside delicious toast. Also one of few places to carry Boy Drinks Worlds Serrano Chili Oil, amazing mixer for a spicy cocktail!

    What a cozy little spot for an early evening drink! I had a wonderful time here with several friends the other night. Drinks were HUGE and very reasonably priced (I think the most costly drink was only $14, my entire party paid $10/each). It was warmly lit and the bar staff was so friendly. I had a lovely time and will be coming back!

    This place opened perfectly in the midst of summer and has been a very welcomed addition to the neighborhood. I’ve been here when they first opened for a lovely cup of coffee as well as for a summer meal and evening drinks. Each time has been absolutely splendid. I will say with their features of canned seafood, I applaud them for introducing me to such deliciousness. I thought good canned seafood was something you could only find abroad. I’ve found canned food goodness at Maiden Lane and I like it! Plus, the guys running the place are very cool and more than willing to answer any questions without sighing.

    This is the spot. Good neighborhood drinks and food. Overreaching COVID liquor laws are threatening a place that has built an amazing outdoor space for people to drink at a safe distance with light food. They were great when everyone was indoors and are still great 100% outdoors.

    Graceful, modern and tastefully lit with a beautiful corner location looking out onto Tompkins park, its hard to go wrong. Clean crisp cocktails, a handful of draft beers, and high tables with stools, perfect for convivial conversation. A strange twist, they serve bar snacks from high-end tins, e.g. smoked oysters. Kind of a cute idea I thought.
