Fantastic brunch. The only problem was that we wanted to order the whole menu. Eggs Benedict, the Brique & chicken ratatouille sandwich were all excellent. Service was perfect. Ambiance excellent. Loved it!

  • Review 2 (2024-11-16 - Rating: 5)

Food was great. Atmosphere was awesome. Bar at the front. Dining at the back. Great music and happy energy. Good people watching to boot

  • Review 3 (2024-10-28 - Rating: 4)

Cool spot. Will remember! Food was good. Had a few cocktails. Bartender was friendly and personable with a full bar! Proud of that I believe his name was Edgar.Would come back from his service alone. Manager was cool too, and the waitstaff was present and attentive!

  • Review 4 (2025-01-02 - Rating: 5)

Great spot to meet the locals. The food is good and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The only thing is that it is a little tight to walk between the bar and the seating across the bar. Other than that, its great tío chill 😎.Btw, the frozen pink drink is very tasty that packs a PUNCH!

Called and made a reservation with ease. Arrived early (party of 2) and was seated right away. Please note every table cleared their plates before they were taken away. Nothing was left on anyone’s plates. The food is this good.FoodEverything was deliciousWe got a spinach quiche and it melted in our mouths. Even the green salad that came with it was good.We both got duck confit. My sister modified her side and I kept mine as is. Delicious! The duck was a good size, crispy, and well seasoned. Whatever sauce they used was great. The sides was delicious as well.We also got the lamb sausage. It was okay. I wouldn’t order it again.I’m going up have to come back to try a few other things on the menu.AtmosphereThe space isn’t very big, but they make the most of it. I’d say it’s a snug atmosphere. When full it can get loud, but overall we felt comfortable at the table we were seated at.ServiceService was good. Attentive and fulfilled all our requests.

  • Review 6 (2023-08-22 - Rating: 4)

The vibe here is good. Music is a good mix as well. The food was good. The menu is so unique in regards to aesthetics. They use old record albums for the pages.Service was a little slow, it was a Friday during happy hour. But it wasn’t crowded so.Either way, I’d go back.

  • Review 7 (2022-12-12 - Rating: 4)

It’s a cute place that says it’s French. However the menu seems a little bit confusing. I ended up getting a risotto that got a dry consistency very quick. Also the dessert was… not good. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Interesting wine selection though.Staffs were super nice. I didn’t have a reservation, but I was quickly accommodate to a table even the place being busy at the time I got there (around 1:30pm)

  • Review 8 (2024-01-23 - Rating: 4)

They had a really good reggae band performing when we were there, the food comes in big portions. It’s small and cozy, nice place for a girls dinner date.

  • Review 9 (2024-09-04 - Rating: 5)

Yes! I came here for brunch & was so pleasantly surprised. Sat at the bar with a few friends & the bartender (Rob?) was so knowledgeable about the menu & his personal recommendations. I went with the omelet, potatoes with salad and it was really good. The eggs tasted super fresh (& Im not really an egg person at all but these were great). The potatoes AND salad were seasoned beautifully with love. I had 2 frozes (YES, YES, YES) and one red sangria (also a yes) - Overall sooooo pleased with my food and the service. It was 10/10 -

  • Review 10 (2022-04-26 - Rating: 5)

Delicious bistro in the heart of Harlem! Came here for weekend brunch with a party of 6 and got seated right away without a reservation. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I got the eggs Nordic and it was delicious! The poached eggs were slightly over cooked but the smoked salmon paired so nicely in the fluffy English muffin and the potatoes were seasoned so nicely. The space inside was larger than I expected with a bit of a separation between the bar and the restaurant seating with a comfy and casual atmosphere. They were playing football on the big screen in the back but the TV volume wasn’t loud so we could still enjoy our brunch conversation. The prices weren’t super cheap, especially with the 20% added gratuity, but pretty standard for most NYC brunch places.

  • Review 11 (2021-09-22 - Rating: 5)

I love French food. The owners are from France and the food excellent. Service was great too! Very attentive and easy going. Note: every Tuesday from 6-9pm they have live music and that made my dinner with my friend even better. I had duck leg and she the risotto which was excellent. Dessert was lovely. The price of the place well priced for such quality food. It’s a great place to go and hang out. The drinks were good too. I had a red sangria and it was well done. A favourite place that I will be returning too.

  • Review 12 (2022-11-13 - Rating: 4)

A typical French bistro in the heart of Harlem where it is non uncommon to meet french speaking people. The food was very good and the quantity followed the American standard (meaning a lot). We took provencal mussels and Croque Madame as well as a crepe and a tarte tartin. A little bit disappointed because it was the way they made it in France. The dough was too thin and it was more apple sauce on a thin dough. The service was very good.

  • Review 13 (2022-12-25 - Rating: 4)

This was my first trip to Maison Harlem for breakfast/ brunch. I have dined here several times since moving to NYC in 2005, even “dined” at the bar a few times.II ended up here today (at 2:30 p.m.) “accidentally.” I made the reservation with thoughts of my favorites: escargot, duck, cauliflower au gratin, and of course, lava cake.Let me start at the end. The manager, a most gracious woman with a tender broad smile picked up my check for a rather minor issue with service. The Christmas music was popular tunes and the volume perfect for enjoyment and conversation. The speed of both being seated (I did have a reservation) and the speed of the food arrival were impressive as always.Realizing I had booked too early for dinner, I settled on a ham, Swiss cheese, and mushroom omelette. It was unremarkably and not hot off the grill but tasty enough and the proportion was spot on. The cauliflower au gratin was very tasty and not overly salty as is the case in many restaurants “experimenting” with potato conversion dishes. The lava cake was as I remembered excellent, savory, soft cake, warm chocolate with just enough sweetness.Needless to say I will be back A guy has to have his escargot and duck.

  • Review 14 (2021-09-08 - Rating: 4)

Love the vibe here a lot. Great place to chill with friends. I was expecting a lot from their dishes but it didn’t turn out great. The sea food definitely was not fresh. We ordered shrimp cocktail, seafood pasta and steak. Got free dessert (creme brûlée) by posting and tagging them on instagram

  • Review 15 (2022-08-27 - Rating: 5)

First time trying this place, early dinner on way to Apollo Theatre. Didnt look as good as I thought it would but looks can be deceiving and by the end of dinner i was not disappointed. Very good French food, nice wine selection, and great service!! They offer outdoor seating. Had a cocktail at the bar waiting for my girlfriend before dinner and had a good time and conversation, everyone was very friendly and seemed to know each other. Will definitely go back. Parking is hard to find.

  • Review 16 (2019-04-07 - Rating: 5)

Easily one of the best spots in Harlem for a drink and a bite. The Angus steak is absolutely gorgeous and a must-have. They have a limited but good selection of wines. The vibe is fantastic - its a great place to hop in once the sun goes down and an give the biggest watering holes in NY a run for their money! Check it out!!

  • Review 17 (2023-03-12 - Rating: 5)

Great place to chill and catch up with a loved one. Food was amazing. Theres a drink i kept ordering forgot the name, but it was really good i enjoyed it. Thanks for the great customer service!

  • Review 18 (2024-07-20 - Rating: 5)

We were given a recommendation to try this place and we are so glad we went. The food, atmosphere and service were excellent. We would pass this recommendation along to anyone!

  • Review 19 (2017-12-29 - Rating: 4)

This very cozy neighborhood restaurant has great array of French dishes. The service is very good. French onion soup is delicious, although too cheesy for how it should be. Coq au vin has nice thick sauce, duck confit was surprisingly good. It is good for French grub, but not for refined French cuisine.

  • Review 20 (2021-06-10 - Rating: 5)

Amazing place, AMAZINGLY AMAZING FOOD!Service could use a little update but the overall experience overpowers the hiccups. The Frozes are really good, not too strong but can deff sneak up on you. As per the food, just what I wanted. Thinking about it as I write this review.Great place for casual meetings, dates and quick bite. Do not recommend this place if you are looking for a night out.

  • Review 21 (2024-08-23 - Rating: 5)

I love this place. Great staff, food, and happy hour! I always meet interesting people when I come.

  • Review 22 (2017-08-12 - Rating: 5)

This is a great place to sit down, have a great meal and just vibe out. I had brunch here (which was actually breakfast) and the food was great. Service is good, the ambiance is welcoming and overall I enjoyed my experience.

  • Review 23 (2021-05-04 - Rating: 4)

Loved the atmosphere. Creme Brulee was tasty but also the taste of freezer burn..You can’t really tell the difference between their Cappuccino and Latte. Overall it’s a nice place to gather with friends.

  • Review 24 (2021-04-26 - Rating: 5)

Took a chance that paid out in full right before closing at Maison HarlemHeres why you should too...Long story short I just returned from an hr long drive from long island. Arrived 15 before a supposed 1045 closing time (according to Google maps) Almost gave up but (they said 11pm was closing bar & restaurant time while 1045 was kitchen closing time. (I was in a hurry but try and get here before 10p to be respectful). So when I noticed vegan options arent plainly shown on menu. I asked and was given an amazing option of al dente pasta with a tomato based sauce with a side of vegetables (as a non regular) I was blown away at the quickness of the menu  adjustment to my diet. The proper name for the dish is pasta, vegetables with provencal sauce 🤤 you say no dairy to make sure.  For 18 its a quick helping of yummy satisfaction.  Will be back.  Pictures included.*please note pictures represent half the meal as I ate half considering how hungry I was.  Please dine here!!My server/ bartender was DeBORAHaccording to thre ticket.  Amazing woman, even better service!!!!Picture includes asparagus, pasta, a good amount of bread, carrots, provencal sauce & green beans!! With brussel sprouts it seems!

Harlem Week was amazing. Came from Massachusetts. Im a Bronx-born and make it to Harlem Week every year. Nothing like NYC.

  • Review 26 (2024-09-14 - Rating: 5)

Nice food spot down in Central Harlem. Went for brunch. Nice flavours. Would recommend.

  • Review 27 (2022-02-15 - Rating: 5)

This place is fantastic! It is worth getting here to try its menu even if you do not live very close. Food is delish, wine is fabulous, and the vibe is great! Highly recommended.

  • Review 28 (2023-11-14 - Rating: 5)

They have a great happy hour deal and a fun atmosphere, its small and can take a second to get your drink so he patient, you might have to stand or wait for a little table but this is my favorite neighborhood happy hour spot! The sangria is incredible and everything Ive tried from their happy hour food menu is also good. My favorite summer sangria spot.

  • Review 29 (2024-05-02 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 31 (2024-05-14 - Rating: 5)

I had the fish as pictured and my friend had the seafood croustillant dish with saffron, frites and we had one cocktail each from their cocktail list. Had caffe macchiato and a creme brûlée for dessert. Everything was perfect, servers and french owner were all very personable, social and professional as well as friendly during the entire dining experience. The restaurant is also very intimate and has a unique decor.

  • Review 32 (2023-11-06 - Rating: 5)

I have now been to this place multiple times. This is one of the best restaurants in New York City and definitely in its area. I have tried anything from the risotto, truffle Mac and cheese, appetizers, to French onion soup. Everything has been amazing but nothing came close to how good the spicy lamb burger was. I dream about this burger and how it might be the best burger I’ve ever had. If you come here you have to try this burger. The service is always excellent and the atmosphere is great. Very romantic or relaxed setting. They have live music sometimes as well. Please go check out this place

  • Review 33 (2023-10-24 - Rating: 5)

A hidden gem in Harlem! French cuisine with an extremely reasonable price. It looks like a bar but the restaurant is in the back. Their menu cover was old album covers. The food was delicious. We had the grant platter. Meat, cheese, apple slices were high quality and fresh, but one of the grapes on the plate was unfortunately molded. The lighting was so dark and we almost had it. For entrees, I had the duck leg confit, and my husband had the steak special. For me, the duck was a bit too salty, but it could a personal preference. The steak was so good - one of the best we have had, even better than most of the fancy steak houses we tried. The sauce in every dish was all so impressive - the shine, the flavor, and how each sauce compliments the meat item. I loved how they didn’t put too much ice in water, and I could actually enjoy my water. And the complimentary bread was also good - warm, crunchy outside and soft inside. The decor and furniture was a bit too old (the bench was shaky), but overall we liked the style and the vibe of the restaurant. We had a great time. We will definitely revisit next we are in Harlem.

  • Review 34 (2024-09-27 - Rating: 5)

Fun, authentic-ish French bistro in the middle of Harlem! Great food and service!

  • Review 35 (2024-01-27 - Rating: 5)

We go here most often for special occasions, as the ambience and food are quite special. For my birthday I had the strip steak, fries and salad. Not sure the digestif Armagnac I had was truly Armagnac versus a more common brandy but I’m not an expert in that area and it didn’t detract.

  • Review 36 (2022-12-19 - Rating: 5)

Fantastic spot in Harlem. It is elevated, but cozy; special but not pretentious. Its great for a group if you book in advance or an intimate evening with friends

  • Review 37 (2023-11-29 - Rating: 5)

Delicious food and great servers. There’s jazz music in the evenings too. The food is well priced and very tasty!

  • Review 38 (2023-04-11 - Rating: 5)

The Escargot was great. The duck breast was a little rare for me but my friend ate hers and said it was great. I ordered the mussels and steak. Amazing 🤩

  • Review 39 (2023-11-07 - Rating: 5)

The food and service were incredible! had the escargot, foie gras, lamb burger, and a great drink. the music was invigorating and fun but at a volume where you could have a conversation. the album covers as menus was cool the only quibble would be seating can get tight. highly recommend and cant wait to go back

  • Review 40 (2018-01-23 - Rating: 4)

Delish Rissotto! Add the seafood and ask for a little salt. The happy hour wine is tasty and priced well. Great crowd and staff.

Food was amazing! big compliments to the chef. The atmosphere is really cool in a quirky, funky way. Service was great!. Absolutely no complaints and we’ll be back!.Thanks Maison for making our day 😁

  • Review 45 (2024-02-11 - Rating: 4)

My experience at Maison Harlem was quite pleasant. The ambiance was quite tranquil, especially when I arrived early and dined solo before the crowds poured in. The food was quite good, though the bacon was slightly dry, it still had a delicious flavor. Moreover, the restaurants proximity to the B/D train station makes it all the more attractive.Overall, I would definitely recommend Maison Harlem and look forward to returning soon for another visit.

Love this place! The Branzino is to die for... the french fries are unique 😋 👌

  • Review 50 (2023-10-03 - Rating: 5)

Excellent, fun, and so very French would be the optimal ways to truly sum up my impressions of this place. And consistent, too, which is a distinctly underrated quality in so much of what we experience.I cannot recommend this place enough, as it is both a solid representation of traditional French bistro cuisine and music (mostly through musical expression - frequently live in its presentation too), it helps keep alive a distinctive and wonderful dining out experience that the low carb crazy started years ago began to destroy and the recent pandemic did nothing but accelerate with the demise of Le Bateau Ivre in Midtown East, the Spotted Pig and Tartine in the West Village and so many other excellent French bistros in NYC.It also manages to be a very neighborhood friendly establishment, as well as a draw for more the occasional visitors from within and beyond Harlem and the UWS, which is also very much the nature of a great French bistro - or classic American diner or even the beer gardens of Germany where the rich, hearty and high-quality, often locally sourced comfort food is easily as much of a draw as any libation served.Which reminds me, the bar scene is not only festive and comfortable, its also rightly supported with a well-balanced array of affordable and quite tasty French wines, a feat that few can seem to pull-off these days without the requirement of a positively stratosphere bill for a decent bottle to follow.Overall, I cannot say enough about Maison Harlem and highly recommend to all.

  • Review 51 (2023-07-12 - Rating: 5)

Hidden Harlem gem! The food here is great. It isn’t watered down or fusion French cuisine and I love the quality of food here. Cocktails and drinks are always good. The frozé is potent as is the sangria! Richie is the bestest bartender!

  • Review 52 (2021-07-25 - Rating: 4)

What a pleasant experience! Great food. But very limited vegan or vegetarian options.

  • Review 53 (2023-12-06 - Rating: 5)

Amazing.Except the cassoulet has 2 ham hocks and 1 small duck leg (if you dont use traditional cuts like venison, boar and rabbit, at least make it substantial). Def not worth that price for a plate of wax beans and barely any meat. The rest of the food was amazing. Drinks were fabulous, and service was on point. But they were oddly out of escargot...in a French place? Shameful lol (joking but not)Fix the cassoulet and never run out of escargot and youll be 10/10.For now its 7/10

  • Review 59 (2022-02-14 - Rating: 4)

February 2022: Food is still great! but service continues to be a bit slow. I order pick up online. Came to pick up 25 min later and told me to wait another 25 min. Total: one hour to prepare food. If you have time is worth waiting, food is delicious.June 2021: The food was good and the waiters are very kind. They might be facing a staff shortage as many other business. We waited for about 15 minutes before someone brought water, and extra 10 minutes for anybody to take our order. On a Saturday night they only had 2 waiters for the entire restaurant.

  • Review 60 (2023-01-24 - Rating: 4)

A French restaurant in Harlem that introduces you to Toulousain cuisine.Such an eclectic and warm place that exudes fun. Menus stuck in vinyl disc album covers immediately spark that element of fun, taking you on a nostalgic journey as you read the covers. They don’t have much to do with French culture, but it’s a cute idea. The cocktails are well done with interesting blends and French names that start the journey into becoming French in Harlem. But it’s the menu that really pulls you into the French culture with classic dishes such as duck confit, foie gras, cassoulet, magret, etc. As someone who is very familiar with France and the cuisine, this menu was exciting to see. I jumped at the foie gras! So glad I did. It was an unexpectedly huge slice with apple chutney, buttered and toasted baguette slices, and salad. I think next time I might get 2-3, and make that my dinner. Duck confit is another fave of mine, and so I tried that. I was very pleased. Just what one would expect, and served as it would be at any bistro or brasserie. My husband, on the other hand, had the cassoulet, but wasn’t as pleased; it wasn’t what he expected, and it wasn’t very much like typical cassoulet. Unfortunately, I didn’t try any desserts. Next time. The real negative here was just waiting for the server who didn’t acknowledge our table for quite some time after we sat down. After waiting for about 15-20 minutes, we finally just flagged down a server to order drinks. From then on, service was better. The server was himself French, and explained that the restaurant’s owner is from Toulouse, a beautiful city I certainly know well, so it really felt like being back in France to be able to speak French, and talk about Toulouse, and how the menu relates.Overall, a nice time. Glad to have discovered this place. It’s definitely on my list faves. I do plan on going back.

The staff was very helpful, friendly and polite. The person serving us was obviously well acquainted with the menu and actively helped us with choosing our meals. The food itself was also very good. The only problem that I found was that there is no indication that there is a Happy hour.

Okay so I ordered takeout and I waited for it at the bar. The wait time took a while but I didnt mind because their staff is really nice. That said the food while good, was given to me cold which was weird because Id been sitting at the bar waiting and they gave it to me right there. I only walked across the street it shouldnt be that the food was only slightly warm when I got to where I was going. Id go back but I Dont think Id get take out there again.

Almost no Vegan options. Yes, I understand it’s French food and not supposed to be catered to plant based items, but waiter did offer a vegetable soup. Customer service was good and quaint place. I wouldn’t return as my first choice since not much Vegan options to choose, but a friend picked this place so had to honor the meeting.

The French toast and bon voyage cocktail was delicious! We came on a day when they seemed short staffed. The wait was long but i saw they were working hard to try and keep up and short staffed is the world we live in currently 🤷🏽‍♀️

Was this the most delicious food?! YES Was made with so much love. Real food from the soul. Great relaxing place.

  • Review 79 (2022-09-16 - Rating: 4)

I would have given five star if there were some vegetarian options as well. I had to eat appetizer for lunch due to no veg menu. Ingredients were fresh and French fries were awesome.

Beautiful atmosphere, great menu, good live band and amazing vibes!!!

  • Review 81 (2019-12-25 - Rating: 5)

Nice atmosphere, fast service, friendly staff, really good and tasty food. The plates are well dressed, and the portion are great. For dessert I really love their tarte tatin, even though I would love to have an extra little cup of warm caramel to put on the top. Their crémes brûlées are delicious, with a crunchy top like it should me (meaning that you really have to break the top with your spoon).Love it and will continue to come.

This place makes me happy to live in Harlem - loud, friendly, good food, open welcoming. Never had a less than great time here. Food needs to be up a notch to earn 5 stars though. This is a place to meet and hang.

Fathers Day SpecialWe enjoyed a lovely Fathers Day lunch at Maison Harlem. We were able to be seated outside and enjoyed an authentically French meal while a Reggae band was playing classics. Our waiter kept a smile on his face although it was busy. The food was delicious and the vibe laid back. We will be back. Merci!

  • Review 84 (2020-12-23 - Rating: 4)

Update: outdoor seating is packed much too close and kitchen staff arent properly masked. Sadly I wont be returning before the pandemic is over.....................Maison is a great place to go for a quick lunch or a leisurely dinner. The salads, steak tartare, duck, and coq au vin are all wholesome and delicious. Service can be slow but the staff are nice and the place is very homey. So glad to see them back open!

  • Review 85 (2017-05-04 - Rating: 5)

Sexy music, sexy staff, and exciting dishes, all without any pretention. A great place for dates, meet ups and small groups. The owner isnt afraid to bus a table, seat a table, and mingle with guests. Overall, an excellent dining experience. Highly recommend.

  • Review 91 (2023-06-15 - Rating: 4)

Great place...however there can be more vegan/pescatarian options. Service is slow even when not crowded. Food is not the quality it used to be...

  • Review 93 (2020-01-02 - Rating: 5)

What a great first time dining experience! We didnt have any reservations but we still tried. Lucky for us, we got seated quickly on a Saturday evening. The vibe was really chill. Great for a dinner date and drinks or with a group of friends. The truffle mac and cheese whetted our appetite. It smelled really good. It was sublime.I ordered the Demi Poulet because I saw the other table being served and the scent just wafted to our table and I just had to have it. Great choice! It was very tender, juicy, and seasoned well.My Bub’s New York shell steak was cooked Medium Rare. He complimented how the crust outside was perfect! The serving portions were just right for the price and quality. You wont feel short-changed.Service was pleasant and quick! Our server was very affable.Worth trying their brunch menu next time!

Loved this place, great bar and fun dining room. Terrific food

  • Review 95 (2017-09-27 - Rating: 4)

The service was very attentive, although the food was uneven. My leg of duck confeat was well prepared, but I have had much better tasting ones in the past few weeks elsewhere. The crab and shrimp cake was a little burnt, not enough to send it back, but still not right. The salad nicoise was very nice, but the dressing was quite bland. In the end nothing to complain about, but nothing to rave about either.

  • Review 96 (2017-11-29 - Rating: 5)

My first time at Maison Harlem and I will definitely visit again. Great ambience and the food was delicious! I ordered the Mushroom Risotto and it was fantastic (creamy, savory, well cooked and flavorful). I accompanied my meal with a perfectly chilled Rose Moscato (which came in its own small bottle).

  • Review 99 (2019-03-18 - Rating: 5)

A gem indeed! Vibrant, fun and friendly service, and excellent food make this a must-try (and keep coming back) restaurant. A good friend is a regular patron of Maison Harlem and I can see why. The location is convenient, too, right across from the subway stop. Makes it an easy adventure if youre visiting NYC, even if youre not staying in Harlem.

  • Review 100 (2018-07-21 - Rating: 5)

This place is amazing! If you are not currently there, go there now!! I have been 3 times so far and have never been disappointed. Great place for breakfast as they have fresh made butter croissants with French jam. The granola is house made and the yogurt is as European as it gets. The duck confit was also amazing. Best little corner in harlem!

  • Review 106 (2023-03-29 - Rating: 5)

Went here for my birthday. I was very happy with the dinner options. I only eat fish if eating non vegetarian options, and the branzino was incredible. Also, try the truffle Mac and Cheese. For drinks, just ask for what you want if its not on the menu. My Long Island ice tea was on point.

  • Review 113 (2024-05-14 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 114 (2017-06-19 - Rating: 4)

Went here with my labmates to celebrate a colleagues graduation. The food was delicious. I had the demi pocket with a side salad. The chicken was wonderfully prepared but was served with a meaty au jus that I couldve done without. Be forewarned about the loud music- it makes conversing with your group difficult.

  • Review 115 (2022-05-12 - Rating: 5)

The place has own charm, the service was great. Very nice athmosfere. The food was so delish but with not perfect presentation The burata cheese was almost like mozzarella and the lava cake was with no lava:) however the margret duck was superior. The drinks were bad. Negroni was shaked wine was old. I would give another chance because the steak tartare was fabolous

  • Review 116 (2024-01-04 - Rating: 5)

5 stars, didnt enjoy this drink though. Disappointed me quite a bit.

  • Review 117 (2023-04-02 - Rating: 5)

Maison Harlem is the perfect place for a hamburger or steak. It has a French infused menu card and it’s ran by a French team, however it still feels very local! My friend Tim took me here who lives in the area for this perfect local experience! We had escargots with bread for starters and steaks with roquefort saus for main. A signature French meal that has found its way to Harlem! The atmosphere is great, with lots of locals and the perfect 90’s hip-hop playlist make it the perfect Harlem experience when visiting NYC! 😎Do make sure you hang-out at the bar either before or after dinner! The people are great and you will end-up having lots of great conversations! A bonus is the metro which is right next door. The the B/D lines mean you can zip up and down from Manhattan’s mid-town, i.e. Rockefelller, just like that! 😎

  • Review 118 (2022-05-23 - Rating: 5)

Love the location and the food although they’re loose on the cuisine definition. Several of the best things on the menu are things like the risotto or nys duck or other Mediterranean pasta dishes. But the weekly theme nights like live music or weekend house dj late nights (with menus for noshing that is reminiscent of the old days when Inoteca was a late night haven on the LES or cafeterias Chelsea vibe or other downtown late night foodie come cool and social influence destinations from the days when nyc actually had a great night life and food culture scene that favored upscale but not stuffy poser/club kid/bridge and tunnel/gentrified culture culture soul suckers.Afro beats, vocal house, body and soul and funk and groove lounge and dance tunes draw informed eclectic local poc and contrast the regular hours crowd of gentrification poster children (aka the diners).Though the French fare is brunch ready the chef could stand to perfect things like the merguez, the confit or the frisée con Lardon that are a few things that lack the depth of flavor and savory mouth feel and flavor a bit of herb de Provence, butter and citrus or more delicate (shorter) cooking time by way gastric-critique is concerned.

Outstanding mussels; the specials are great night-in and night-out; love the classics (the foie gras, the coq au vin, the couscous); occasionally they have live music; the vibe is fantastic and very very Parisian (the staff is all Francophone and the decor is Instagram-worthy).
