    Blast from the past Spanish style restaurant with stone and tiles and wrought iron trim that evokes old Madrid. Tapas are serious eating here, as the crowd of locals will testify. Croquettas are creamy and full of ham, delicious olives, yummy crab cake, cheeses, Iberico pork, paellas. Their large menu has many options and hearty portions. Fun night out for your taste buds...

    From the food to the servers to the drinks and the overall environment , this place was amazing don’t expect to pay cheap prices but definitely expect to get your moneys worth plus if you’re looking for parking there’s a parking right across the street that you pay $10 for about two hours which isn’t bad either amazing experience overall I loved it

    This is one of the best spots for lunch in the city, IMO! Firstly the service is amazingly good. Both at tables and while sitting at the bar service is prompt and gracious. Secondly the food is both delicious and beautiful. The chicken medallions are gorgeous as is the steak. The tilapia is likewise lovely. Thirdly the price is great!! Really excellent value.They also have a happy hour and live music on the weekends.And although it is CASH ONLY, there is an ATM on the premises.

    This is a bar/restaurant that offers mostly Spaniard inspired food. Ive tried many of their dishes and the grilled octopus is my favorite. On my last visit we tried the paella marinera and while it looked really tasty the flavor was lacking. I would not order that again. This place is cash only so make sure you bring cash otherwise you can use their ATM.

    Awesome Restaurant/Wine Bar,in Washington Heights ,this place decoration is awesome ,you really feel you are in Spain,seats are very comfortable and private loved it,music is perfect,everything is very clean,menu is very complete offering great choices of “Tapas” And “Entrees”,great portions,their wine selection offers you a large variety of wines! ,staff is well educated,courteous,professional and very attentive! food was fresh and delicious! But unfortunately the “Carpaccio” didn’t meet my expectations! I will suggest you to specify the ingredients on it so people can determine if is going to work for them or not! pretty sure lot of people like it there like that!but I’m used to a classic “Carpaccio”,I was extremely satisfied with my experience there and highly recommend you to visit this place,and also they do not accept cards cash only!but is really not a big deal.Thank You.

    Ducked in here on a cold night and really enjoyed the experience. Great service, fun music, good tapas - which is hard to find in the U.S.We had 5 dishes and a bottle of wine. Turns out that one of the dishes wasn’t what we ordered and it was just so-so, but everything else was really really good.Recommend this place for tapas and watching neighborhood characters popping in.

    Its been 12 years and the still the best in town! I haven’t been here for a while and i came back the the food was amazing! The chef did amazing job with my special request since I don’t eat carbs. Chefs Celestino is the best and I really recommend this place for a nice and quiet dinner!

    The food and the service were amazing. the decor was not spectacular, but the food made up for it. I would also recommend the shrimp and lamb chop not pictured. A little pricey and parking is HORRIBLE, so add $35 to your bill!

    I havent been to this restaurant in a while but I stopped in last night and ordered a ribeye steak with these delicious Spanish potatoes. I had this wonderful salad with artichokes and walnuts and cherry tomatoes and I had these dates wrapped in bacon and syrup. So so good. I sat at the bar and had a wonderful staff. Wonderful service, five stars. Very polite. It was just a wonderful experience and I would definitely return again. It was delicious. Food made to perfection. The only thing bring cash. They dont accept credit cards. Bring cash. Thank God there was an ATM in the basement. I give this place five stars

    Selected the place totally at random not knowing what we would find, it was a pleasant surprise. We ordered the steak and it was enough to feed two to four people while worth the money. The largest tapas item Ive ever seen, Speaking of money, just a warning. They only take cash but there is a ATM machine downstairs. You can use any extra cash to tip the staff. They were very courteous.

    If you love Spanish (Spain) food, this is the place to be. A good wine, a delicious branzino with patatas or grilled octopus, and for desert, have an almond cake. The atmosphere is mixed: at the bar or dining area. The downside is that they do not accept cards. However, there is an ATM on-site. Weekends night reserve as it gets a little busy. Affordable and friendly staff. Oh, please try the Gambas al ajillo. Delicious!

    Words alone cannot express the gratitude of our event that was on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 4 pm to 8 pm. We were celebrating our mothers (Theresa Penate) 94th birthday. Let me begin by saying this place deserves not 5 stars but rather 10 Stars. We cannot stress enough the great service that we received from Management (Maria) and headwaiter Angel and the other two that help Angel. There were 27 of us and we decided to host the birthday celebration outside at the hut fronting the restaurant. Their attention to all of was out of this world. Their food from Tapas to Main Dishes and presentation were phenomenal. We highly reconmend this restaurant if you are planning to have a small get together celebration. We were all please with such exceptional service and attention to detail.Our mother had a great time and even Maria came out to take a picture with our mother. Thank you again Maria and the Manolo Tapas restaurant personnel. Again, we highly reconmend Manolo Tapas either as a casual dinner or small event venue.Great atmosphere and great service all around. Thank you again.

    We had their signature paella and it was perfect!     Excellent place for dates, good lighting, the music is diverse at a perfect volume that allows you to enjoy a good conversation and the music at the same time. The food and drinks are very good.     Been wanting to come to this restaurant in a very long time since I loved food in Spain when I went, but having this in my hometown Washington height’s is just priceless, first off I have to say the service is exceptional! Make sure you ask for Oliver, he is a server and bartender he makes the most delicious caipirinha. He recommended the ribeye steak and it was amazing! Loved it! Will come back again for the Skirt steak. They have a full bar, nice tv’s to watch your favorite games and just have a really nice time.

    Washington Heights favorite Spanish restaurant. Sophisticated delicious dishes prepared with quality ingredients served by a friendly staff. Wine selection way better than average at budget-friendly prices. A few glasses of wine and delicious tapas at the bar are a good alternative to takeout or when you dont want to cook at home.     Good semi-Spanish food with a nice atmosphere. Semi because, like many NYC Spanish tapas restaurants, the preparation and ingredients have a notable DR or PR twist. For example, the chorizo has what tasted like a molle sauce or some sort of sweet thickener -- not something youd see in a pure Spanish dish. The tortilla had bits of peppers etc. All good, but worth noting. Also, on the pricey side (although I havent been out to eat in old neighborhood for a while to know what prices are nowadays).

    Oliver is one of the best server that takes care of us...food is authentic, clean and delicious. The environment is great..and the music..the music AMAZING..the live music on Saturdays makes you question if you are downtown or the heights...Washington heights...you have earned a great place..my husband and I have our monthly date there for years...dont have to go downtown to be served like we are stars...MANOLOS STAFF DOES THAT..

    I came here before a theater show. I will say that the service and food turnaround is really quick, without making you feel like they want you out of the restaurant as soon as possible. The wait staff was helpful in making recommendations and offering advice on food choices. This place is CASH ONLY. they have an ATM for you to use.Its pretty spacious and has seating for larger groups, they also are portioned to let themselves out for private events if you choose. I do like the decor, lots of wood and they have some spanish themed pieces on the wall, looks like a little restaurant in spain as you travel the roads between cities.While they have larger plates, we chose the hot tapas- we had the dates, the chorizo in wine sauce, the shrimp and the steak on bread slices. I highly recommend the dates and the shrimp, the sauce for the latter was fantastic. The other dishes were great as well, they rounded out the meal, I would say everything was really flavorful and uniquely prepared. I also got the honey ice cream crepes for dessert which were delish and they come with preserves. total bill was $50

    Loved the place, decoration was very cozy and our server was more than wonderful. Explained everything we needed help with. The cocktails were not as good as I expected, but other than that we had a great time. Octopus was a lil but salty but the other starters were great.     If you want to taste real spanish food, then this is your place.Its my favorite place since Im living in New York, maybe a little bit pricy, but thats because all the products youre eating are imported from Spain. And if you look at the quality Its worth it.I go there several times per year and I love it, cause Im from Galicia (Spain), like the owners, and I know Im paying for what Im eating. Very good quality, flavors, service and managers.     Great restaurant with nice service. Ate indoors on the last day of indoor dining in NYC. Would have liked the other tables to be spaced just a little further away but aside from that we really enjoyed the mixed olives as a starter, the cocktails, & of course the seafood paella.

    Have been to Manolo Tapas several times, both to the bar to have tapas while watching Spanish soccer matches, or to the restaurant. Have lived in Spain many years, and at Manolos I have always been happy with my meal; portions are generous and tasty. Re the lengthy negative comment-- it is NOT the custom in Spanish restaurants to serve olive oil and balsamic vinegar with bread; thats an Italian affectation of US restaurants, and I would be horrified it that were served to me!

    Nice service and excellent food! The Gallego Octopus and the Merluza is outstanding ! Everything is good!... Sometimes they have live Spanish nice music on Saturdays. Im giving 4 stars because they only take cash, no Credit cards or debit. Theres an ATM in the restaurant though.

    The true spirit of Spanish kitchen. My recommendations are: pulpo a feira, patatas bravas and jamón & quesos variados. The paella and black rice with seafood is also tasty.As for desert, flan (see image below) and tarta santiago are two non-chocolated options really good. Overall, they are not as big as in Spain.*Be advised: its an only cash restaurant… credit card are not accepted and they have a cash machine downstairs for convenient use with a moderate fee.

    We ate in a very nice trailer outside the restaurant but would have liked to have been seated inside instead. Food was amazing, steak on bread, chorizo in bbq sauce, the lambs were so delicious, wine was awesome. The only tapas we didn’t like was the octopus it was chewy, but other than that we loved this place. Service was outstanding.

    Manolo Tapas has become our favorite date night spot in the neighborhood! The food and wine are always delicious and the service is impeccable.
