    My Husband and I celebrated our anniversary there on Aug 15 and I’m so glad that we chose this place. We were made to feel like we were truly celebrated! 🎊From our table to our waiter(sorry I can’t remember his name) to the atmosphere, all were 5 stars 👏🏽 We were even given complementary Prosecco and desert to go along with our excellent dinner👌🏽🥂Afterwards we had two staff members take their time and patience to take multiple photos of us on the outside. It was a lovely evening overall. (Only gripe would be that when we were leaving there was a patron with a dog in the lounge area🙄😒)

    Nice place by the river. My mistake was to order Crispy Zucchini. Couldn’t eat it. Too oily and salty. My husband had a burger and it was not bad but not the best either. We enjoyed French fries. Margarita Reposado was awesome! Want to come back some weekend day for brunch.

    Great atmosphere. My first time here it was a chill and inviting atmosphere. The food was delicious! very tasty. We ordered NY Steak Medium Rare, it came with some mash potatoes, broccoli, the temperature was perfect. My friends orderer the lamb chops and the Angus burger were amazing as well, the staff was really friendly.It was a really nice dinning experience. I am looking forward to go back again.

    We went without a reservation late afternoon on a beautiful day. We sat outside.It has view of the hudson river. There is also floral decorations by the patio.I ordered the red snaper. It was delicious. My husband got a seafood linguini. I tried some and that was also delicious.I enjoyed my food and the view very much. I’m going to go back.

    We recently dined at Mezze on the River in NYC, and it was a fantastic experience! Kevin, our server, was incredibly kind, patient, and thoughtful, making excellent recommendations throughout the evening. There were six of us, and we ordered different things. Everything on the menu was a winner. The chicken was moist and full of flavor, and the calamari was simply outstanding. The ambiance added to the experience, creating a perfect setting for our meal. And let’s not forget the desserts—each one was absolutely delectable. We will definitely be returning next time were in the city!

    Loved everything about this restaurant. The location is a plus. And its near a parking garage. Wonderful service and wait staff. Food was on point with savory and presentation. They have indoor and outdoor dining sections. Loved the photo opt area at the entrance.

    I came here on a Sunday evening and despite the several minor issues faced, I still enjoyed the food and the experience very much.PROS- The food here was great. I had a perfectly cooked skirt steak and with buttery mashed potatoes and charred broccolini. I would also highly recommend trying the dips & grilled pita as a starter.- Good service. The waiter was attentive and came back often.- Great views and scenery, even with indoor seating.- Restrooms were clean. (There are two single-person, gender-neutral restrooms).- There are a few nice spots outside of the restaurant to take pictures.CONS- They were out of two of my first choice menu items: Grilled Surf N Turf (filet mignon w a lobster tail) and the Pumpkin Creme Brulee for dessert.- The broccolini was a little TOO charred for my liking and didnt have any other flavor other than the char.- Parties of 2 get better seating than parties of 3 or 4 because tables of two are seated directly next to the window. As a party of 3, my seating area limited my ability to take pictures and enjoy the views in an effort to avoid awkwardly looking over the couple seated directly next to me. It wasnt a HUGE deal, but it is worth mentioning.- A $5 Pepsi was in a glass that only seemed to hold half a can. Im not sure if there were free refills, but I didnt bother asking.- After giving my credit card for the bill, it was brought back with 20% gratuity already applied and they seemed to have rushed that process to stop you from taking a closer look or trying to reduce the gratuity.

    Had a reservation and were welcomed at the door. They had a high chair ready for our table and the bartender came to the table to serve water.Our order was taking pretty quick and food was out to the table in around 20mins.After the initial service, we were almost forgotten about, no check-ins on food or to see if we wanted more drinks. This delay put us off having desert.I’m not sure why, there are servers and managers standing at pass chatting and waiting for orders rather than being proactive and getting more orders.The food was delicious, service very average, price - standard NY pricing.View was lovely.

    The food was good with a nice presentation. Staff was friendly. Good location for outdoor dining and watching people go by. The desert could be better; molten cake is more like a chocolate bunting cake with chocolate sauce in the middle.

    The service was quite good, along with the view of the water and jersey. Ambiance overall gets 5 stars and everyone enjoyed their food for the most part. Nothing was out of the ordinary but it all had good flavor. The only dish that was amazing was the sea bass, very well seasoned and presented. The salmon was a no from us. Much too dry. Otherwise it was a good time.

    Beautiful view, amazing presentation, especially the octopus. Happy hours every day with special prices for oysters and cocktails.The dishes are delicious. But waiters can bring you not your drinks or not your bill. You have to be careful with this.

    I visited this restaurant on Saturday 04/06/24 & had Alex as our waiter. Everything, & I mean EVERYTHING surpassed my expectations by a far. The scenery & vibes was just so beautiful- very aesthetically pretty. We all had the surf & turf & not one thing was disappointing. A huge thank you to Alex for being our waiter- he was amazing and made one experience so amazing to the extent of requesting him for our next visit. He was a gem & we will definitely be back! So thank you Alex for making my birthday night the amazing one it was!

    Mezze On The River never disappoints!!!GM Stephanie and Chef Miguel have a great team who take such pride and care in providing excellent service and dishes that are on point every time. New menu additions such as the beet salad and bone marrow are absolutely delicious! I love having Mezze in my neighborhood!

    Came here for dinner, door was locked. We waited a while until someone saw us and let us in. Took a while to get the food. Tomato bisque was way too salty but the burger and scallops were good. Nice cocktail menu and strong drinks. Ambience is probably better in the daytime, but overall nice view.

    Great restaurant with great river/sunset view. The food were good but a little pricey. We did get a discount because we live above it. I really liked the ceviche and the things they served at the gateway event. The cocktails were great too definitely worth trying!

    The service here was spectacular. Although I must say there were more servers than customers at the time of our experience. The food was very tasty. The lamb was great and the honey cigar appetizer was such a unique and delicious flavor combo. There were some dishes that can be better (the tartare and the cheese dip that came with the grilled octopus). The presentation of all the food was nice. The location of this spot is the highlight of it all! Watching the water sway while you drink and eat is hypnotic.

    Great food, fantastic location and vives. Food was tasty with spot of portion sizes for sharing. Crab croquettes salad, lobster pasta (amazing), lamb and seafood paella (tons of flavor), baklava and Honey vee (singularly special) dessert, a bottle of prosecco rounded out a most lovely evening. The location is unbeatable, clear sky and incredible sunset. Noisy party boats and a few misses during service (missing utensils that took several requests to secure) but a great experience overall.

    We had a reservation for 6pm on monday to try to the restaurant week 3 course menu.The food was delicious and came out fairly soon after ordering. Each dish was flavorful with some subtle depth! The atmosphere was fun with energetic dance music. It was nice to sit facing the window and watch all the people and dogs walk by. The staff was kind and attentive and helped explained some of the options we werent familiar with (Colette was really nice and attentive as our waiter!)They were unfortunately out of one of the desert options but had other delicious options on offer!We would go back sometime to try some of their other dishes!

    Dreamy hidden gem spot on the Hudson. Obsessed with this spot and their food is exceptional. Be sure to get their brunch on the weekend. The Belgium waffles are probably the best I’ve ever had and don’t sleep on their lobster squid ink pasta. I’ve never enjoyed a dish that much!!! Such a great spot and views. Go go go :)

    Beautiful restaurant along the Hudson River with stunning Skyline views. The service was great. The manager Stephanie is amazing. She is super attentive and friendly. The drinks we had (the almafi, blue velvet and a mocktail) were amazing. The food is great too. We had the Tartare Trio Platter, flying Octopus and squid ink Truffle Lobster. Highly recommend this place and cant wait to go back!

    Food - The food is not mind blowing but it’s still very tasty! I loved the flying octopus and artichoke dip. My friend said their salmon was great. I ordered the skirt steak and it was pretty good. The waiter was kind enough to refill our toasted points for our artichoke dip!Drinks - For the alcoholic drinks, my friend ordered the Mediterranean flame and I ordered the louboutini. The taste of alcohol is stronger in the Mediterranean flame than the louboutini. The louboutini was on the sweeter side (but sneaky like a Long Island iced tea).Setting/Views - There are outdoor and indoor seating. The indoor seating was smaller than I expected. The views were gorgeous! Even if you’re not right by the window, you still get a beautiful view of the waters nearby.Staff - The staff were courteous! Nothing bad to say about them.Noise level - I went there around 4PM and the restaurant was half full so it wasn’t that loud. The music was pop/radio hits and did not fit the restaurant. It was also a bit too loud for my taste. (I know… it’s a strange thing to be point out 😅)Prices - Reasonable price for the location.TLDR; - Definitely worth dining at! I’ll visit again :)

    The beautiful sunset view of the Hudson River at an outside table on a Friday evening was terrific! Excellent food. Sea bass with companata was very tasty. Flying octapus is always a treat. Delicious wine to accompany food. First server said he would be attending to us, then never returned. While everyone was very polite, one server didnt know about menu items. All in all, we will return.

    My bestie and I brunched here. We discovered the restaurant from a TikTok review. My bestie drove in from Long Island and I drove in from NJ. It was the perfect “meet up” location.My bestie ordered the hummus for the appetizer. It was delicious. The presentation was cute. We were able to eat with our fingers. The pita was cut up in small bite-sized pieces for dipping. For the main course, I ordered the burger. She ordered the waffle. We both enjoyed our meals. The drinks were on point. Normally, we order two drinks each; however, the drinks were strong so we each only had one. The drinks were small in size but they packed a punch and we loved that.The staff was nice. The views were amazing and awesome for picture taking. The two of us dined as we watched boats sail on the Hudson. #Peaceful

    We came here with a group for a wellness retreat and the food, atmosphere and service were out of this world!! Alex, our server, and the support staff were fabulous. Never hovering but always keeping drinks and waters refreshed and checking in at appropriate intervals. The fig and beet salad was our favorite salad of our week in NYC. My fiancé had it with steak, I had it with chicken— equally delicious. Other attendees loved their food as well— especially the lamb skewer and salmon. The cocktails were excellent as well, my favorite being a Manhattan. We will be back next time we are in NYC! Thanks to the excellent staff at the gorgeous location for a perfect last night in Manhattan dinner!

    Let me start off by saying, the view is the reason I decided to try this place out. We asked for a table outside on a beautiful Fall Sunday.Review I have given is based on my experience. It all started off when I was placing my order with the server who had minimal understanding of the menu. I asked for a lobster eggs benedict with fried egg instead of poached. When the food was brought out, it was still poached egg, and I asked the server to confirm if it fried egg and she said yes. But after she left, I was certain it wasn’t fried and it was poached so I took it off the plate and put it on a separate plate for my husband to eat it since he doesn’t mind poached. Meanwhile, I asked for the server to replace it with a fried egg. The manager comes over to confirm, and he reached over the table to get the poached eggs. I said, you can leave it here since it’s gonna go to waste anyways and my husband can just eat it. Plus, it was their mistake in the first place and I have to wait another 15 minutes to eat after everyone else is served. He was adamant about taking the poached eggs away and said he would charge us for it if we wanted to keep it.When the fried egg was brought out, no hollandaise sauce was served with it. Also, the beverage we had ordered before the food was out, was not brought out after the food was served and when I mentioned it while I was by the bar, they made it right away like they had forgotten.Overall, I think customer service was poor. When they messed up, they didn’t show any sympathy. Just leave the damn poached eggs for my husband to eat it, since you guys messed up the order, instead of charging us to keep it.

    We enjoyed a nice lunch here during restaurant week. We loved that it was located on the river and had a fantastic view of NJ and the Statue of Liberty. The food was pretty good and the service was efficient and swift. After a nice meal and some baklava, we enjoyed a nice walk right there along the river. Nice experience overall.

The dining area inside is entirely glass, flanked by two outdoor seating areas, which allows you to watch the sun set, whether dining indoor or outdoor. They serve a large selection of delicious Mediterranean food and creative cocktails that you are sure to enjoy. They also offer a 3-course pre-fixe option for $49 from 4 to 6 PM. Mezze on the River is perfect for a dinner or lunch date, brunch, or drinks after work. I especially liked the saganaki cigars and sorbet, as well as the under the sea cocktail.

    We had an amazing time here, we’ve got a pretty nice table with an astounding view. For food we tried the Red Snapper and the Scallops which were so delicious and the cherry on top was the pumpkin crème brûlée.Attentive and cordial service.     Excellent new Mediterranean restaurant and a great addition to Battery Park. Lovely view of the river, great for people-watching. Started with the pita with hummus, baba ghanoush, spicy feta, tzatziki. All were fresh and delicious. Wifey had the whole grilled black sea bass, which perfectly seasoned and presented beautifully. The Black Angus burger was thick & juicy. Barely had room for the molten chocolate cake but it was totally worth the calories. Service was friendly and attentive. Everything in the restaurant seemed to be running very smoothly. It was clear that management knows what they are doing and Im sure this place will be very successful. Very glad to have them in the neighborhood and I see us returning often.

    Certainly enjoyed the visit - the food was pretty good, service quite friendly, and who can argue with the atmosphere being delightful when you have such a gorgeous view of the river! I have to say that the labneh and the sagonaki cigars were by far my absolutely favorites of the night! The pita break of course was as well ☺️ (there goes the diet lol). The rest of the dishes were also good - the dips, croquettes, and the ceviche. The octopus was good but a bit too chewie for my liking. Its presentation was fantastic though! The mains were wonderful as well - branzino was simple yet deliciously filling, the scallops hit the spot, the tuna tartar also worked. The coffee was a disappointment but at the point? Who cares! Another one for the books! ☺️

It would be great if the restaurant could consider lowering the volume. Additionally, it was very tricky to locate the restaurant. Our Uber left us on the street, so you need to find the circle and pass through a residential building.

    Whether you ate dining solo or you want company, you should visit Mezze on the River! Its tight for seating, but you quickly forget all about whos at the next table as the view of the water is mesmerizing, especially at sunset. The food and drinks are well made. I tried everything that I could and had no complaints. I stayed two and a half hours to enjoy the hummus, a cheese pastry called Saganaki cigars, the red snapper, and couscous with black olives; along with a carribean drink in a fish glass, mango sorbet, and hot mint tea. Next time, Im visiting New York, I will stop in again! Make reservations and keep them.

    Brought some international guests to Mezze on the River. Great views and very accommodating waitstaff and manager made the experience worthwhile. We had a few order snafus, but they were quick to resolve it with charm and grace. Overall, pleasant experience, decent food, a little pricey, but you are in Manhattan along the river, with great views, AND it was a holiday weekend. That said, they were able to accommodate our large party walk-in with 1 child and 1 tween.

    This place is beautiful. They were very accommodating when I called ahead for wheelchair accessibility. There was a small step upon walking towards the boardwalk against the river, but otherwise it was smooth sailing. We had a nice view from indoors. I would suggest this place for a cute Mother’s Day since it was decorated with a lot of pink flowers.

    Absolutely gorgeous location and great outdoors. The food and location are amazing. It’s a tight indoor environment but worth it.     This place has a great atmosphere by the water . I really liked their grilled octopus, their lamb chops and their curried lamb meatballs .     This restaurant is a teensy bit hard to find if you’re new to the area, but SO worth getting a touch lost.
