Our team was in town during the World Series, and we hosted the wives and girlfriends of our team at the MO Lounge for afternoon tea! It was amazing! They really nailed all the little details and you just cant beat the view. All of our guests really enjoyed themselves, and everything was perfect.

I have visited the MO lounge a few times for drinks and each time gets better than the last. This weekend I brought my mom who was visiting me in nyc. The views alone are worth a stop, but it was really the exceptional food/drinks, and service that make this place over the top.We ordered the fois gras, club sandwich, and had some incredible desserts and champagne!Everyone was incredibly kind, from the door man to the hostess but Pierre especially made our time extra special!Can’t wait to return and try the full afternoon tea!

Great experience! We got a table without reservation (super lucky!!) and after couple minutes they “upgraded” us to a table by the window 🙌🏻 The view is amazing and it is nice to have a delicious meal admiring Central Park. We ordered the pea risotto, salad, chicken sandwich and two desserts (mango and chocolate). Everything was delicious! I recommend the experience and it is the perfect place for a date (lunch or dinner). John was our the waiter and he is super nice; will make your time there even better.

Elegant dining & unparalleled views of Central Park. Guava Cheesecake is incredible— you’re paying as much for the view as the dessert. Service can waver, but the ambiance compensates.

Wow - what an experience! I was unfamiliar with Mandarin Oriental Lounge before I visited and anytime I’ve shared that I visited, I’ve been met with oooh’s and aaah’s! I imagine it’s a lovely stay, but this review is solely for après dinner drinks.Located in the iconic Circle area and overviewing Central Park and the Manhattan skyline, the MO lounge is gorgeously designed with clean, curvy lines and ornamental fabrics and patterns.When we stepped off the elevator, we were immediately ushered in as a party of 5 and immediately seated at a table by the windows. Looking back, I think it was quite late and close to closing, so much thanks to the staff that obliged us. There was ample seating.A few of us ordered wines, another a cocktail, one an Irish coffee, myself a cocktail: Walk in the Park ($26), 5/5 - gin, tonic, botanicals, cucumber, elderflower - this was elegant and delicious, very light, floral, and refreshing thanks to the cucumber! Take a look at my photos for the gorgeous presentation.You are provided with salty, Asian-inspired crunchy snacks such as wasabi peas, and more, complimentary with your drinks.A special thank you to staff - our server informed us there were fireworks visible outside in a separate room, overlooking Central Park. That was so kind of our server and such a nice touch! I believe there was a film event in the Park, hence the fireworks.Thank you Mandarin Oriental! If I return to NYC, I will certainly come back.

Cute spot with a great view of Central Park. Been in the spring and winter and each time I had great service and seats. I did make reservations both times but it seems it is a first come first served as they told us each time to pick an empty table and then took care of us after we sat ourselves

Its worth getting to Mo Lounge mainly for the stunnin6thg view. The food is good but not special.I think that the food at the restaurant is overrated but still worth coming mostly because of the view.The cocktails we had were excellent.For the first courses, the burrta was the best, and for the main dishes, the homemad pasta was the tastiest, and the sweets were too much for us.

Gorgeous views of Central Park and billionaires row, this place is worth the visit. We order some appetizers which were nothing to write home about. Bland, oversalted, a little odd tasting. But, if your goal is to get good food then the 4th floor of the same building has some of the best restaurants in the world; and thats no exaggeration. Come here for the view and ambiance, and thats worth five stars.

Food was excellent. Very accommodating for one person with gluten-free need. Drinks were good too. Views are stunning......if you can get a window table. We booked many weeks in advance. Reconfirmed a few days before. NO effort had been made to assign a window table. When one opened up we had to negotiate to move. Also, as the place became busy our server became highly stressed and rushed. I am rating 4 stars but I understand the below 4 overall rating on Google.

This review is specifically for afternoon tea. There were 2 of us on 1/1/24, reservation was necessary, slight delay in getting started - they were apologetic. Atmosphere was fantastic, we were seated by the windows. Service was polite and met expectations. Every element of the sweets, savories, and scones was on-point. The tea selection was excellent, though unfortunately was served oversteeped. Overall this is one of the top afternoon teas available in the city, strongly recommended.

I took a new friend there for a coffee. It is effectively the lobby lounge/breakfast area for the Mandarin Oriental Hotel (and by definition very expensive). We selected a corner table and after serving our coffee left us alone to converse for over two hours. It might have been nice if they had checked in on us at some point -- but the views from the 35th Floor of Central Park and ambiance were very nice. The gratuity is automatically added to the check (but they still try to get you to give even more). Their famous restaurant Asiate will be re-branded and should re-open (post-pandemic) within the next two months.

4 times here, never really had a big complaint. Theyre not extraordinary in any aspect (view neither, there are better), and they do tend to play hard-to-get, which any average New Yorker can brush off like follicles on the shoulder. Both drink and snack menus are very limited, one would expect more. Barman couldnt handle an order of a specific cocktail outside their list!

This place is off the charts. Beautiful views of Colombus Circle. The drinks and food were outstanding. I had the Chinese Egg Noodle Soup. Huge bowl loaded with everything. My wife had the steak bites with wild rice. It was perfectly grilled. We had a late reservation,, but they were able to accomodate us earlier. Just an excellent, top notch experience. Outstanding food and service.

Amazing location perched up high on the most stunning corner of Central Park. The perfect place to close a business deal or just eat and drink with a million dollar view. Premium spirits will set you back $75 and up per serving however you are renting prime real estate while you are here. Service is just ok and surprisingly inattentive. I believe that they are used to having high-profile guests who may prefer privacy. Enjoy!

I booked the same day for lunch at 2pm as a solo diner and I requested a window seat. I arrived early at 1:30pm and was seated immediately. Luckily there were lots of options and I was seated in the corner window, which had the best view of central park. I ordered the fried chicken and was served by John, who had been working there for 18 years. He offered some great recommendations around the city and gave me great service and suggestions for the lunch. He also took amazing pictures of me. John provided better service and attentiveness to me than most Michelin restaurants Ive been to. I would recommend coming here, requesting the corner window seat, and asking for John as your waiter. Whoever is Johns manager, please give him a raise, he certainly deserves it. Thank you John!

I had an amazing experience. Staff/servers were great. The views are great (probably best to go during off hours when they are more likely to have seats by the window if you want the best view). The food was really flavorful (we got the fried chicken sandwich and mushroom risotto). Drinks are pricey but they are strong, unique, and crafted by Professor Baker (follow him on Instagram for great cocktail recipes).

Loved it! Came here once in 2016 and came back a couple of weeks ago; I had a wonderful time each visit. Drinks are fantastic, staff were personable, atmosphere was lovely overall.I’m sad The Office bar connected to the lounge shut down- their whiskey was exquisite.I will say, the way the food is seasoned leaves you yearning for more.

I went to this place on a trip to New York with my girlfriend. Spectacular setting and views on the 35th floor of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York. Mandarin Oriental has always been a model of service for me. This first-class hotel for me was an absolute example of how to treat guests. I always dreamed of returning. I thought that if a guest pays $2K per room per night, then he has the right to expect the best reception in the world.My expectations did not fully coincide with reality. Well, New York is a city that dictates its own rules :) This is a city where standards change even at my beloved Mandarin Oriental.Still, MO is my favorite hotel!

Mainly to enjoy the scenery, but unfortunately you can only sit on the window sill if you are positioned. It must be opened by a Chinese, and the food and interior decoration are all in Chinese style. The boss has a very old-fashioned taste, but the waiter may have tipped us more because we are Chinese, which is understandable, but I dont like it.
