    Mom’s is simply an amazingly delicious, affordable and cool breakfast nook in Midtown just minutes walking from Times Square. Come early to put your name on the list because there might be a 30 minute wait around noon on the weekends. The chicken waffles and grits with shrimp are just divine.

    Excellent experience! From the walk in the atmosphere was pure vibes. The music was loud enough to sing along without being overbearing. Crystals energy upon approach to our table was magnetic. She was friendly, accommodating, and super chill. I ordered the Cinnamon Apple French Toast with vanilla ice cream and a side of turkey bacon. Absolutely delicious! The White Christmas Coquito rimmed with coconut flakes was even more delicious! The beschamel sauce was the perfect blend of cheeses. I would also recommend the Papas Peach which is a perfect blend of an Arnold Palmer and Bourbon. 1000% returning. Moms Kitchen definitely felt like my moms kitchen ❤️

    Our waiter, Phil was friendly and professional. We had a party of 6 and our food arrived quickly. The food was hot and fresh. Abe stopped over to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. And of course we were! Also, since we were visiting from out of town, he gave us some great places to visit. We definitely would recommend this place for the food, service and atmosphere.

    Amazing little diner! Really relaxed atmosphere with music and multiple televisions playing disney films when we went! Great for all ages. Food is utterly incredible! Recommend the breakfast sandwich!

    I make it a point to hit up mom‘s kitchen and bar every time I’m in New York. A staple for me? Absolutely their fruity pebbles pancakes 🤤. I’m a sucker for a retro/eclectic restaurant design and this place hits all the marks. With 90s cartoons playing on the TV is above you, great music on the speakers (a little loud for over 30 me but still enjoyable), and 90s paraphernalia scattered throughout the restaurant, Moms knocks it out of the park paying homage to the 80s babies and our childhood.On the weekend, it gets super busy so be prepared to wait 40 minutes or so but I think it’s worth the wait. However, last time we were there, we got the food within 10 minutes or less of ordering so it makes up for it. Other staple I recommend would be a boozy milkshake if your stomach can handle all the dairy!

    This place is amazing! Diana was our server and she was simply the best! The food came out hot and it was delicious! The host was kind enough to change our table after we were seated. They also have a great playlist of music. Please visit! They do don’t disappoint!

    Excellent brunch spot. Delicious and creative menu. The wait time for a table was only 10 minutes at 11 am on a Sunday. Our waitress was very nice and helpful with suggestions. The music was at a good level so I didn’t have to shout across the table (it was just a 2 top). I definitely want to go back to have one of their shakes and other dishes that looked really good.

    This was our first time at Moms. The menu was fairly limited but the options were unique and creative. My partner had the breakfast sandwich which he said was good. I had the chicken sandwich which I thought was great and Id really recommend this item from the menu. There was a hint of sweet, a hint of spicy, tons of flavour and crunch. Really fabulous sandwich.The service was nice and prompt. A little on the pricey for a brunch/lunch though.

    You’ll want to take a nap after eating here. The portions are massive, I recommend going with others to try and share plates.Went with family and everything we had was at least good - most of the dishes were amazing.For savory dishes, the pancake burrito tasted like an elevated McGriddle. The mac and cheese was rich and heavy, honestly could be an entree instead of an app. The chicken and waffles were great - the waffles has a bouncy, mochi-donut like interior, and the chicken was crisp and juicy. Though separate dishes, eating the cheese bites with the tomato soup was amazing.The bedrock pancakes were sweet, but surprisingly not too sweet despite the appearance. The freshness of the fruit complimented the sweetness crunchiness of the pebbles and fluffy pancakes.The shakes were addicting. Me personally, I thought the peanut butter one was a bit too thick and sweet. Had to eat it with a spoon and could not finish it.Service was great. I would definitely go again for a hefty brunch with friends.

    Upleveled Americana brunch turned up to 11 to make your heart sing with heavy hitting, large portions and drinks such as Bloody Mary and hot apple cider. Get all the weird sounding, delicious mashups and revel in their glory. Nothing fickle.

    This place was lit!!! We came after the pride run and enjoyed great food and fun drinks!!! Staff is super friendly and engaging! My steak was cooked perfectly, I had the steak and eggs with the sassy classy and badassy drink!!! Come here for good music and good food and good vibes!!!!

    I absolutely love this place. the food is always incredible and the staff are always so sweet. the interior design is so cute. not to mention the service is always super quick without sacrificing quality. whenever i’m in the city (like all the time) this is my go to place. can’t recommend enough!!

    I’ve been to Mom’s kitchen in Astoria and it became one of my favorite brunch spots. Visited the one in the city and have to say that I enjoyed the here food much more! I loved their fried chicken sandwich and home fries with a side of aioli sauce! The service and staff were amazing, very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Another plus for this place is that it’s very affordable compared to many other brunch spots.They have a wide menu and their ambiance is welcoming for families and friends. Definitely check this spot out if you are around Times Square looking for a great, affordable and delicious place to eat brunch.

    I read the rave reviews and stopped by. I was immediately greeted and seated. Atmosphere was fun with moderately loud music that I liked playing (90s rock/pop/ country). TV had a cartoon playing with no sound. A super friendly waitress took my order for cinnamon roll pancakes just a few minutes after I sat down. They came quickly and were nice and hot. They was good but I didnt order what I thought was an add-on of apple compote, but I got it anyway. They were good but not exactly what I expected. The pancakes themselves were either some flavor to seem like a cinnamon bun or made with something else as they were not white/ yellow like i expect a pancakes to look but brown. And there was not much of the cinnamon or icing toppings- just a drizzle around the plate and over the 3 pancakes- and no syrup so they were not as sweet as I expected. I know I have a sweet tooth but these were not my favorite. They might be great for someone else. I have had cinnamon roll pancakes at IHOP and Dennys and both were far sweeter than these. But the service and coffee were excellent and the pancakes were fluffy so maybe I will just try pain pancakes next time.

    When someone has Shrimp & Grits on their menu, you know it’s for a reason. I’m telling you, these were some of the best grits I’ve ever had! Highly recommend and cannot wait to return. The service was 10/10, the food arrived quickly, and even though it was busy, we opted to sit outside, and it was just as delicious as if we had sat indoors. The food came out hot! My best friend got the pancake burrito, and my daughter had the burger. GO HERE!

    Visiting NY and landed here. Ordered a black bean burger. It was pretty good. The place is obviously pro LGBTQ, which I was happy to patronize. Server was attentive, and food came out rather quickly. Enjoyed the drink I ordered, and the environment was inviting. Would recommend!

    Really nice place! Very welcoming and service was fantastic! Food was pretty good. My daughter had the fruity pebbles pancakes (of course) and they were very sweet, but that’s to be expected! She just didn’t love the syrup. I had steak and eggs and it was very good! Eggs were delicious. Steak maybe a little on the tough side but still very good. Wish we had more room left to have tried one of the milkshakes. Next time though because we would definitely come back. Recommend checking it out for sure! Great vibe!

    So the food looked awesome but unfortunately the chicken was overdone and dry. The breading was great and as much as I was excited for that really thick bacon it was almost unbeatable. It had a hard as a rock strip and inconsistent cook felt like it had been sitting a while. My wifes burger was great same bacon issue but cooked great and nice flavor. The honey sauce is good just not a honey guy so I recommend getting it on the side. The staff was fast friendly and the drinks great.

    Best chicken and waffles dish I’ve ever had. I crave it all the time. Waffles was fluffy and perfectly crisp on the outside. Chicken was fried perfectly as well - super flavorful and not oily. The sauce on top brings it all together as well. Get the hot chocolate as well (winter time)!

    This place was awesome. My girlfriend started with a “Hot Girl Summer” drink because she loves all things flamingo. I got the Crispy Chicken and Gravy dinner which came with two sides. I chose the Mom’s mashed potatoes and the Mexican Street corn. Everything was delicious the chicken was super crispy. The portions were generous. We also tried an order of the Bedrock Pancakes for dessert. Those were also amazing. Would highly recommend. Staff was super friendly. Will go back. A lot of cool things on the menu.

    Overall, good food and a fun vibe. NOTE: they charge a 3% credit card feeThe bedrock pancakes had tons of berries and fresh whipped cream. Chicken and gravy came with 2 sides, and tasted good. However, it didnt come with enough gravy- the chicken was a bit dry and and mashed potatoes didnt come with extra gravy. There was an assortment of sauces available on the table though.I ordered the ginger beer cocktail, which wasnt too sweet

    I have been there twice, and I will bring every tourist friend to this place to see the cute old style American dinner place. The stuff are absolutely amazing, very helpful, and caring. Food is delicious and the portions are giant. The sweet potato waffle fries are out of this planet!! When you get those speciality drinks you get to take the rubber duck with you. Definitely will be back!

    After Church, we were looking for a quick bite to eat before heading to a show. Online Moms looked like an eclectic vibe so we decided to check it out. It was busy but they were able to get us sat in less than 5 minutes. Marlin was very attentive and on top of making sure we had what we needed. For food options, we opted for the Woodland Omelette and the Mac and Cheese Pancakes. Yes, I said Mac and Cheese pancakes! I didnt know what to expect but they were fantastic with the right balance of cheese with the honey syrup.

    Great service and awesome portions. Our kids got some appetizers which was more than good enough as dinner for them. There are some comfort favorites on the menu such as tator tots and chicken and waffles. My daughter also got one of their shakes which was mind-blowing. Definitely recommend, but just note that they dont accept reservations so be prepared to wait a bit during the peak times such as Sunday brunch.

Gave a 4 star as I felt the quality wasn’t good enough for the price and they don’t take reservations.The avocado toast was good but tasted more like what I would expect out of a Mexican restaurant with the ingredients.Chicken waffle was seasoned well but a bit over fried.

    Very cool vibes and great music! Seated right away on a Sunday morning. Food was good- had the mushroom omelet with the side salad, which came with a phenomenal dressing! Waitress was friendly, though we didnt really see her more than taking our order and giving us the bill. Drinks took a little while to come out, and all we got was water and a coffee. Took one star off for the $4 coffee that was honestly pretty terrible- super watered down- came out about a minute before my food so I didnt really even touch it other than the first sip. Probably wouldnt have ordered it if I knew it was gonna take so long and taste like that. Ah well.. I definitely recommend if youre looking for a restaurant with a fun atmosphere and different menu.

    I came here one day with my boyfriend. He suggested it because I was craving breakfast food. They have all day breakfast. The atmosphere is so 90 themed and I love it. The menu is so cute it looks like MTV from he 90s. I had the pancake omelet and it wasnt bad it was okay. We also had tator tots which were good. I had the rainbow bright milkshake which was so yummy. My boo had ordered Mac and cheese and it was amazing. We came back and this time I had the mom burger which was so so so good. I didnt get to try the wings my boo ordered but they looked good. Wasnt expensive either.

    Service was really slow to respond to us after we were seated. Everything was fine after we were noticed. I think shifts were changing and the remote card readers werent working well. Food was good. The milkshake did not seem to be from ice cream and wasnt cold. Did I say the food was good? I also had a coffee cocktail that was really nice. I dont remember the name.

    We had dinner here with a large group, letting us try many dishes at once because the portion sizes are so generous! This is a standard Americana menu that dips into various regional cuisines, from cajun, southern, to midwestern classics, with many vegetarian options for those looking. Likewise, there are plenty of mocktails for those with a non-alcoholic preference. I had bayou shrimp with a side of moms fries and mac and cheese—crisp potatoes with a great sauce, richly cheesy mac and cheese, and lively, spicy shrimp—and was able to try my friends potatoes, burgers, and chicken. Everything is extraordinarily well done! You cant go wrong with any option.Service was quick, attentive, and warm!

    Chicken and waffles are amazing!!! I don’t usually eat waffles because they taste soggy to me without syrup, but the waffles here were perfect! Chicken was flavored and a perfect crisp! The strawberry mimosa was good, and not sweet like I expected. The entire staff was extremely friendly and efficient! The food came out quick and our server gave great suggestions on beverages and food items. Shrimp and grits were also really good!

    Had brunch at Moms Kitchen and BarBedrock pancakes, woodlands omlette, and fried cheese curds. The food was really good. The fruits for the bedrock pancakes were really fresh. Everything was cooked nicely. Service was wonderful. The only bad part was the long wait due to how many people were coming here, which attests to the food quality. However the hostess kind of forgot about us and I had to inquire of our table was ready.

    We had a terrific experience having lunch seated at the bar with Andreina waiting on us. Absolutely loved the vibe, truly a fun environment with so much to look at while waiting for our food (which came out so fast, I couldnt believe it). Excellent customer service as well from start to finish. She answered any questions we had, refilled waters, and was so easygoing. It was a lot of fun watching some of the specialty alcoholic drinks being prepared, too.And the food!! The hubby and I split the short rib grilled cheese and the fried chicken sandwich. The grilled cheese was - for lack of a better way to explain it - like a very elevated sloppy joe, in the best way possible. It was delicious and hubbys favorite of the 2. The chicken sandwich was my favorite; chicken was so thin and crispy that I almost didnt let him have any! We opted for tater tots, and, honestly, how can there ever be anything bad to say about those? I knew I wouldnt have room for a milkshake, but I cant wait to try one next time.Highly, highly recommend stopping by for any meal. Or a snack. Or just a milkshake/drink.

    I normally dont swear when doing reviews, but this place was F**KING AMAZING!!!!! Great ambience, PHENOMENAL food! I felt a very strong sense of nostalgia!     A real comfort food hot spot on the West Side. Minutes from the theater district so it is a good spot for a quick bite and its family friendly. Was voted best brunch in the hood. Cool menu items such as Mac and Cheese pancakes, Chicken and Waffles, Fruity Pebbles Pancakes, classic Wild wings, and drool worthy heavy metal disco fries. Two TVs in the dining area playing cartoons on a loop. Excellent bar options as well - picture a goblet sized beer or cocktail during happy hour for just $5!! Am a fan!

    This place has a modern dinner feel, I sat at the bar with my friend. We had mimosas, well its pretty hard to mess those up, and Im not a fan of bloody Marys but my friend liked it enough to have two. Their menue is very eclectic and puts a nice modern twist on old favorites. I got the Avocado toast revamped which was two thick pieces of sour dough bread and a generous amount of avocado slathered on top, diced tomatoes, pickled onions, cucumbers and arugula, two poached eggs with hollandaise sauce drizzled over them. It was super delish! My friend got the Chicken and waffles with bacon. It came with this challula infused pancake syrup that was sooo good! And whipped hollandaise; at first we thought it was whipped butter but we were wrong, it took was dreamy. Both plates were a smorgasbord of deliciousness. The service was very kind, attentive and personable. They were even so nice as to give me a little flamingo drink floaty because I spotted them and mentioned how they reminded me of home because Im from Palm Springs 🌴 I would definitely come back. And if you are in the area I would encourage you to check it out

    I was visiting by myself and initially requested a seat at the bar. I ended up getting seated at a table for 2 which worked out great and my server was very quick to take my order. While I waited did my food, I enjoyed straight bops, no misses and watched the Rugrats (!! adorable). My food came out hot and crispy and melty in all the right places. My only suggestion is that they provide more gravy but thats really being picky. Who needs more gravy ! I am unable to have a milkshake without having a serious bathroom emergency however the people across from me each got one and I was quite envious. They look amazing and if I was able to secure a private bathroom, Id probably order one myself.

    Not sure how long it has been in business but it has a mixed vibe of 50s style diner by day and local Hells Kitchen bar by night although the food has been much upgraded from both of these eras. The place is definitely busy and food drink are a good testament to why. Came here because they were open fairly early on a Sunday and it was packed, so I sat at the bar. It doesnt diminish anything for the service in any way, in fact on a Sunday it may be more advantageous especially if youre alone, though I didnt feel like drinking that day. The food is not particularly sophisticated but very good and tasty with quite a bit of options to choose from and all expertly done. Coffee might need some work but for the ambiance and vibe it was exactly how it was supposed to be.

    2nd full day in NYC and found another diner near where we were staying. Found Moms Kitchen and Bar. It is nicely decorated inside with music memorabilia, old metal school lunchboxes that hold the condiments, and very unique. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was awesome. French toast was great with whipped cream and apples and cinnamon spiced. The fall specials were Fallmosa (pictured), pumpkin expresso martini, fall fizz mocktail, and cinnamon pumpkin stack pancakes. Will return here when I return to NYC.

    The wait to get a table was about 1h, so I recommend going right away to make a reservation and then going for a tour. Times Square is not too far away and you will be notified with a call when it is your turn and you will have 10 minutes to show up, otherwise you will lose your table.Very friendly and helpful staff. The menu is a bit much to wrap your head around. Mac & cheese pancakes? But if you’re willing to try one of these dishes that fit the definition of American comfort food, you might be surprised in a good way. The food wasn’t outstanding, but it was tasty. Not piping hot, but not cold. Some of the details could be easily improved upon: a bit too warm (crack a window?), a bit too loud, maybe splurge on a fresh jalapeño—doesn’t five guys do that?     A fun and funky dining experience in Hells Kitchen.We stopped in for a late dinner on a recommendation from a friend. So glad we did. Our server, Vince (heeey Vince) was an absolute blast. He was very helpful and honest with the menu. Everything was terrific. They offer standard drinks and house specialties. Food runs the gamut. Many selections. Everyone was very happy with there food and drink selections.The restaurant is large with a bar in the center. Dining areas surround the bar with table seating or high tops near the windows.     I cant believe I waited so long to sing this restaurants praises. This place is excellent; super fun environment, family-friendly, with comfort food that is as big as your head!Ive visited this place three times (Jan & Dec 2023, & Feb 2024), and I dont plan on stopping. Each time made for a joyful experience with the people I ate with. Regardless of whether it was morning or evening, we were sat down quickly and had speedy & polite service. The dining area looks small, yet somehow they know exactly where to place everybody so no one is left waiting for too long. But still be wary of going during the holiday season; I can expect Christmas time to have tons of people wanting to come here, as it offers that bold, yet warm-hearted embrace that makes you feel like a kid again.It follows the mom theme with its portraits of famous TV mothers along the wall. There are also several television screens playing popular movies, including Spider Man & Moana. Its impossible to listen to it though, as there is loud music playing throughout the building, but I dont discredit the restaurant for this. I see the movie visuals as more of an added bonus to the childhood aesthetic they are going for.I tried sooo many things on their menu, all of them great, but for the sake of critiquing Ill put the Chicken & Waffles as my least favorite dish. The chicken was spicer than I preferred and had a lot of bone to cut around- it was like I was prepping my meal more than eating it.The Cinnamon French Toast was great, but really REALLY hearty; it was difficult to stomach it all in one sitting. To reiterate: their portions are HUGE! I would not recommend getting an appetizer & an entree if dining alone; unless you were the winner of the Nathans Hot Dog eating contest, youre going to be taking your food in a to-go bag.My favorite meal was the Bedrock Pancakes, which surprised me. This was the dish that I was most concerned about trying just because having big pancakes with fruity pebbles & whipped cream sounds like a recipe to the hospital. But the sweetness really wasnt overwhelming; I savored the pancakes natural flavor and the cereal complimented it. I still didnt finish it, but I gladly had seconds back at home.But one thing tops all the meals Ive had here (so far), something that isnt considered an entree, but I could have three of these in a row and wouldnt get tired: The Cheesy Grits. Not to be confused with the Shrimp Cheesy Grits, because thats different. The grits that only have cheese is my go-to order. It may only be a side dish, but it holds number one in my greedy heart. Theyre the best grits Ive ever had in my life- no exaggeration. Theyre always fresh and super creamy. Theyre the reason I never finish my entree, because I promise myself that I MUST finish the grits. Leave no morsel behind!For drinks, I typically order the standard orange juice, which was good and had no pulp. But one time, I tried one of their Bigmouth Shakes: The Rainbow Bright, with vanilla ice cream, fruity pebbles, berry syrup, a lollipop & slice of rainbow cake. I noticed they didnt include the cake with mine, but I already ordered so much it wasnt a big deal. Besides, I theorized that they were making a change to the menu and removing that altogether, but if this isnt true, then this was a blunder on their part. Theyre just lucky I was already overly-satisfied with the things I had. I think the milkshake is good as a dessert, rather than your primary drink, because then you may feel really bloated with all the sugar & calories youre intaking.This is without a doubt, a place of indulgence. A restaurant that you wouldnt take your friend whos on a strict diet to, because this is place where boundaries are nonexistent. Eat to your hearts content! I want to bring more people who havent experienced, Moms Kitchen & Bar here, so they too can try their awesome specials. Its like a grown up Chuck-e-Cheese, without all the games: Its a place where an you can be a kid.

    I went to Mom’s Kitchen and Bar today with my good friend and it was great! The atmosphere was very colorful and cozy without feeling cramped. My first drink was the Watermelon Sugar High and it tasted just like the watermelon sour patch kids. It was sweet and refreshing. It was perfection! To eat I got the avocado toast and it was the best avocado toast I have ever had. It was flavorful and filling. The avocado was perfect. The avocado, arugula, tomatoes and onions were in perfect harmony and served and a great bed for the egg and hollandaise sauce. I got the get out of my swamp drink and was not happy with it. The manager, AB was such a sweetheart. He asked what was wrong with the drink and offered to make it better and if I still wasn’t happy I could have the other option. He took the drink, improved it and it was awesome. The waitstaff was kind, polite and efficient. The manager was so nice and even told us about another Mom’s Kitchen and Bar in Astoria and I will definitely be going. Over all I had a great experience! The food and drinks were 10 out of 10 I would absolutely recommend!

    Went on a Thursday and got seated immediately. The mom-osa was huge and delicious. The food came fast and was pretty good. It was the little things for me though; the decor, the cartoons playing, the throwback bops, the way the server says “welcome home”. It was the attention to detail that really made it a unique experience and not just a meal at a restaurant.

    Putting fun first. This was our first time at Moms, having spent a few nights at a nearby hotel. We arrived around 9 am on a Sunday. Their stated hours claimed that was their opening hour, although plenty of people were already seated.Service was great, with an enthusiastic server quickly bringing menus, water, and coffee. Their brunch section is interesting, and my wife and I settled on an eggs benedict crossed with avocado toast, with lox added. It was quite good, although the flavors were a touch bland, and the hot components were a bit cool. An addition of hot sauce made the dish better. Service was fast and efficient, and the coffee was great. The thick cut bacon on the side was excellent. We could have stayed for quite a while, but its possible to have breakfast in 30 min.I would certainly return, and I like the kitchy pop culture atmosphere. If they could work to balance flavors a bit and ensure that their hot foods were in fact hot, Id increase my rating.

    We had an amazing time here. We where going to another spot but after a rude interaction with the staff there we decided to see what was around the block and came across this place.The place was packed and their waiting system was cool it tells you how many tables in front of you and the wait time .The food and drinks was amazing . Our waitress was a sweet heart dont have any real complaints here . I will definitely come back the apple French toast was awesome

    We came in around lunchtime on a Thursday. The service here was fantastic. My group had the mac and cheese pancakes and the steak and eggs. The servings are huge so come hungry! I will say, after a handful of bites, the mac and cheese pancakes became a bit much and I questioned my order, even though it tasted amazing. I also got a milkshake, it was delicious. I will definitely be recommending this restaurant to others traveling to the area.

    We are from Chicago. Great food, unexpected value. We were starved. Korean cauliflower appetizer easily could have served four. My husband had the fried chicken and gravy that came with two sides. He could not finish. I had the Chicken cranberry salad and a not to be missed Mexican corn. We both had black berry sangria and I could not resist the flamingo tequila as I could not have the giant shake that I was eyeing due to Lent. No reservations, come early.

    I still love my experience here. We came from my friends birthday. The environment was so cool with all the 90s themed homages everywhere including in the menu. The breakfast food was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and cant wait to return to try some more. I got the pancake burrito which was fantastic. I didnt care for the cinnamon latte cocktail. Is cinnabon on top is real dry, dont get it. My friend had the watermelon cocktail and it was really fantastic. The mac and cheese balls was also really good.

    A New York Diner that does not disappoint. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious dishes that have been reworked by the fabulous cooks. The atmosphere is fun and entertaining. The service is outstanding. The portions are more than ample. The prices very reasonable for the quality of the food, the attentive service and the generous portions.

    Easily the best food I have had at a restaurant in a while. The food and drinks were all absolute perfection. Offers brunch meal options all day, and a great selection of drink options.I didnt get to try any of the shakes due to time constraints, but I will definitely be visiting again for brunch.
