    Just finished the class and had a fantastic experience! I came in with very little experience in making drinks, but looking to prepare myself for a bartending job down the line. Bryan really goes out of his way to make the class work for everyone, from those with absolutely no experience to working bartenders. Not to mention, hes a great guy and lots of fun to be around. I would highly recommend this class to anyone interested in cocktails.

    I enjoy too much this course, one of my best choices was to take this course at New York Bartending School with Bryan. I was a child again. Bryan it’s an amazing professor and human. Bryan is so nice and patient, he enjoy what he does, you can see he loves teaching and it’s his passion. If you wanna learn from a master of this Industry don’t even ask go with Professor Bryan at New York Bartending School. Great opportunity to meet more people from the Industry, different cultures, etc.

    This is the most detailed and organized Bartending School around. Bryan is super knowledgeable about spirits, the restaurant industry and life in general. I highly recommend New York Bartending School to anyone looking to learn about bartending techniques and if you are in New York for vacation I recommend taking a course to go back home with some superior bartending knowledge that you can use to impress your friends and family with. I grade this spot an A+ overall, The place is organized , clean and has a very nice atmosphere for learning.

    Incredible experience. The first day I felt very afraid and I even thought that I could not do it but with the incredible personality of the instructors and their passion to teach us, classes became more and more comfortable. César, Omar and Leo helped me feel more secure and achieve the goal of being certified as a bartender by one of the best schools in New York. I recommend it 100% because the teaching that this school leaves to its students is very complete. Thanks guys ... I made it!

    Before, I really didnt know how to make a simple drink. I came to this school, and got the best lessons using liquor and liqueur deep learning spirits📕. Every single lesson we practiced got to know the most popular cocktails and learned how to mix drinks in the correct way — My life is easy now, I got a job!!ENORMOUS thanks to Mr. Brian, 🧸🎈he is the best, very professional master teacher tutor sommelier !!

    New York Bartending School is one of the greatest learning experiences in my life. Bryan is an excellent instructor who is as comedic as he is knowledgeable. Please make flash cards to memorize the class work content and practice as much on your own time to create a collaborative learning effort. The instructor allows you to work with your preferred music so that you get the genuine bar feel. Practice bar consist of real bottles filled with water and dyes so that it is the practical equivalent of a bar. Great school and if you have restaurant experience the movements are rather similar. Highly recommend, great school with a patient instructor who is fun to be around.

    My favorite place! I took my classes in June 2021 and Bryan is probably the most wonderful instructor I have ever had! The practise area is amazing! The speakeasy bar / seminar room is great too.The curriculum is really vast and Bryan made sure that we are thorough with cocktail needed to be a good bartender. Bryan is fun and extremely knowledgeable.This is a great investment!

    This class was more than just fun. Bryan is the best tutor you can imagine. His funny personality and vide knowledge about cocktails and alcohol is just the perfect combination. Even when everything can be a bit overwhelming the first day (I had no clue about anything), you get used to it. Most of the class successfully passed the exam already on Thursday instead of Friday due to the long practice time and great explanations.I definitely do not want to leave the school, so I highly recommend this course. If you want to get your certificate in bartending, do it here, you will not be disappointed!Thanks again for this awesome experience

    ​​When I tell you this place is everything; I kid you not. The environment is amazing and holsters a safe space where everyone can learn at their own pace. The classes are very hands-on and in depth so there is no space for confusion. Bryan not only teaches us about mixology and various bartending skills; but he makes the class very fun. I would definitely recommend taking this course whether youre interested in doing it for fun or for employment; youre definitely going to have a good time especially with all the amazing new people youre going to meet.HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

    Great school!People there is warm and friendly, always looking for you to learn based in real bartenders experience. Nice accommodation, you get to feel like in a real bar. I love they let us go back to practice after the course is finished, this shows their compromise with us and our improvement.

    After taking this course for 2 weeks I was able to complete my test in just alittle under 6 min . At first it seems overwhelming having to learn and remember all the information that is given to you . However , with the help of Alex and Brian they were very clear with directions and patient with teaching. I really appreciated the fact that you can continue to come to the class after the week course is done , in order to sharpen yourself if you do not feel confident for the test the first week scheduled . Brian and Alex were a huge help and I would recommend this course to anyone looking to be a professional bartender in just a few weeks .

    I completed the six week Sunday course four months ago, in October 2022, and have waited to write this review because I wanted to see how effective the instruction was in helping me retain the information given during the forty hours of classwork. In short, I believe I could walk into virtually any establishment and step behind the bar with skill and confidence. The course is purposely fast-paced and, at times, the music is playing loudly, as it might in a bar. Moreover, Bryan is a masterful teacher. Hes intelligent, quick witted, helpful, and very knowledgable. In order to pass and attain NY State certification, students must prepare ten drinks in 61/2 minutes. None of the twenty students in the class I took failed; not because the test is easy, but because Bryan prepares the students so well. In addition, we learned roughly sixty of the most popular drinks and Bryan provided intelligent insights into beverages, implements, glassware, and mixology. I highly recommend the course to anyone seeking to become a knowledgable and skilled bartender.

    Such an explosive experience. Never had I ever thought Id pass this course but after day 2 everything starts to get comfortable. The instructors are tough on you and very serious about what they want students to achieve and that is very admirable. Ive only had 5 days to learn numerous drinks, each day adding more drinks to the list. I really like how the instructors are always available to help and answer any questions we needed. You definitely get what you pay for at this school and the feeling is amazing once you reach the end. I highly recommend anyone who has been interested in mixology or bartending to take a course there. Now Im able to host my parties in a different way with the skills Ive learned.

    I’ve always wanted to become a bartender and my friend actually recommended this place to me. I saw how quick he got a job after graduating and asked him SO MANY QUESTIONS. He told me to come to the amazing free class they give so I came before paying anything. I fell in love with the environment. It felt like a real bar, dim lights , music. The instructors here are amazing! A few of them even speak Spanish which helped (for my friend). At first I was scared because I have horrible memorization but with practice and just having fun in class it all came naturally when it was time to take the speed test. I would recommend this to ANYONE looking for a bartending school. I wouldn’t want to have earned my certification any other way! Thank you staff & crazy Brian !

    Ive been working st Starbucks as a batista for over 3 years and figured being a bartender was the obvious next skill step. When I saw a friend of mine had recommended this bartending school, I rushed towards the opportunity. The staff and instructor were all incredibly friendly and helpful, answering any questions I had as well as providing excellent insight and knowledge into bartending, not merely how to read a recipe off of a page.     I thoroughly enjoyed my refresher course with Erica and Brian!They were the best! The school is well situated in midtown and the classrooms are fully stocked and really help you to feel like youre working. The vibe is fun and professional and the one-week full-time course is not for the faint of heart. Be prepared to really roll up your sleeves and get to it.I feel totally prepared to get to work!

    I had an amazing time learning at the NY Bartending School. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating, everyone was helpful which allowed for a judgement free environment. Despite the curricula lasting a week, or two weeks in other cases, you really do have all the time you need to hone your skills because you can come back every week to practice. Knowing that I didnt have the pressure to excel in just one week really allowed me to take my time memorizing drink recipes, getting to know the bar, and applying the tips my instructor taught to up my speed and really have fun with making drinks. The school also made sure to help with the resume process as well as giving helpful tips on how to secure a job. I feel very prepared to go out and work now.

    I came to NY Bartending School with 0 knowledge of drinks — I didn’t even know what was in a margarita or a cosmopolitan!! After only 3 days Alex and Bryan taught me over 70 drinks and everything I needed to know about etiquette and I’m so happy to have taken the class. Bryan is so passionate and hilarious, and Alex is amazing at teaching all the tips and tricks of making drinks. I would 100% recommend this place!

    Fun! Interesting! Very friendly and informative instructors! (Especially Jessy) Nice practice bars! Definitely worth it especially when you can get their nice discounts. There are classes in Spanish as well which is a huge plus for the Latino community! The only thing thats keeping this review from 5 stars is that the lectures can get boring and the bars could be a tad bit cleaner (Im a neat freak and a germiphobe so this may not apply to most). Classes are very flexible, they help you as best they can, and the staff is helpful and friendly! After all is said and done... This school is definitely worth it and you will enjoy it!

    I attended the two week Bartending / Mixology class, and absolutely loved it! All of the staff are extremely courteous and helpful, and the course was overall a blast! The pace of the class was perfect, and they really drill the idea of repetition, repetition, repetition into your mind, ensuring you have the confidence to successfully pass the course.

    I dont have enough words to describe the amazing experience spent here! if you are looking for a bartending school here in the City I highly recommend the New York Bartending School. Even if my first language is Italian Ive never had any problem: Bryan and all the staff were (are and will be) always extremely friendly, helpful and available for any questions or doubts. I took the two weeks evening course and I learned way more I expected, practical and theorical. Is not easy and some efforts are requesting to make the final test, but Bryan is able to make each lesson clear, fun and will give you a lot of advices to remember the drinks and improve your skills. Wonderful class, environment and people!

The atmosphere is extremely professional but they know how to have fun. The instructors are passionate about what they do and it really makes a difference during class.     Just completed one week of the Bartending Class.I didnt think I could do it. Didnt think a week would be enough but thanks to Erika and Brian AND lots of repetition, I passed.The curriculum is quite solid for what it is. A good base of knowledge and understanding to build on, for any beginner.Their best attribute is the opportunity to continue learning and practicing so you master the skills needed to secure a job. Also, they are quite forgiving and will allow you to re-take the test.If you are considering a job in the industry, I do recommend them. In fact, I would hire someone graduating from this school.

    This place is the best. These staff is AMAZING. They make you feel comfortable and they are her knowledgeable of what they do. They always make you laugh even if you had a bad day. Mike is the best instructor he takes time with you and doesnt make you feel alone. Bryan is a great instructor to he would have you u laughing all the time. I love this place.     I had such a great experience and not only was the class great but the staff was too. The classes are not too big, they do have limitations because of the pandemic which I think is safe and smart and regulations on wearing your mask. I was someone who had no experience in bartending and I chose the 2 week afternoon course. I was feeling very excited and confident on getting my certificate however after the first day I did feel a little discouraged only because we went through so much material and I didn’t know what anything was and what it looked like but that’s ok because it was only my first day. As the week went along they really broke down everything from the glassware, to a variety of drinks and how they are made and presented, to how you should keep your station and providing seminars about different key point. The school provides you with all the tools you need with an attachment to a real bar to practice in and it’s really hands on. Very friendly and encouraging environment. They provide other courses as well which I see myself attending soon and I hope you guys do too because this was an amazing experience.

    Took the introductory course in 2019 with no bartending or hospitality experience, and I left more prepared than I could ever imagined. After two years of success in the industry, I came back for the advanced course to further my knowledge. Bryan and staff are second to none as they gave me the tools and knowledge to go from zero experience in hospitality to then working towards management for large corporation in Food and Bev.     I took the 5-day intermediate course without any prior bartending experience. It blasted me from 0-100 real quick.     I was really nervous about going into bartending and yes I know that you don’t need a license to bartend in New York but I wanted one because I didn’t know anything and I wanted to be able to apply to Speakeasies. When I realized that’s what I wanted I decided to enroll into classes so I could formally learn the basics. I’m pretty sure I have a while to go before a speakeasy is going to let me bartend for them because I have no experience in an actual bar yet and I only went to school for the basics. However, coming to this school gave me the ability to apply to my first bars with confidence in myself. I’m not starting from scratch and owners/managers are going to love that. I know when I signed up I was worried it wouldn’t be worth the money because honestly I could have used the extra $500 but now that I’ve graduated I have no regrets. Going to this school is an investment in yourself because truthfully you’re going to make back up that money in no time.!Plus the place looks amazing, vibes are great, and Brian is just the best ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

    It was a pleasure learning at this school. Coming into it I was a little nervous of how I was going to be able to take in so much information in such little time but surely enough I was fortunate enough to have a master teacher. My teacher’s name was Bryan and the reason I say master teacher is because not only does he know his stuff in regards to bartending and information on liquors but he truly knows how to patiently impart his knowledge on his students. Bryan made learning mixology extremely enjoyable. I’m grateful for the education I received at this school and for being fortunate enough to find this school!

    Just graduated from NYC Bartending School and I am left with an extensive amount of knowledge that even experienced Bartender’s appreciate ! Bryan ( the owner) Alex ( instructor ) and Michelle ( instructor) were personable, funny and each incorporated the necessary tools for me to feel extremely confident in finding work. They do not leave you hanging dry after completion of your certification. I feel welcomed to return to the school to replenish what I learned and to perfect my craft. I have no regrets.     Great experience, they teach you everything from the names of the drinking utensils to the ingredients and grains of wine and alcohol. Step by step you are taught how to make drinks and understand the consistency of them, you can chose a 1-2 week course and can retake the first course when ever you feel like it. Free practicing, unlimited training on certain days. The teachers really work you and really mke sure you understand the concept on how each drink is made. Well worth your money.

    Its an amazing school cause the staff there have a lot to offer to its customers. Every student there is treated like a family member cause everyone gets the same opportunities. Each students gets their own work area were they can practice as much as they want. The seminars are very well plan out which means that you can read them easily and increase your knowlege about each topic. The instructors have an amazing personality and its easy to work with them. Not only do you get to learn on how to make drinks but hear real life events that a bartender can encounter in life and know what steps to take to solve them out. I recommend that you take the free trial class at first and from there youll get to decide if you want to continue or simply move on. If you really want to try something new in life I extremely recommend that take this course even if you dont continue working as a bartender but at least youll get some knowledge about the drinks. Dont wait another second deciding weather to take the class or not just simply go for it. NYBS can change your life for the best.

    A lot of practice, supportive instructors (read below) and always friendly atmosphere. Suits for people who like to study in fast pace with decent result! Give you opportunity to practise in real bar (not mandatory), give a hand in finding job by their Job Placement Program with open vacancies, help with resume and other usefull information.-Bryan (the owner) always there to help and to make fun on you in the same moment.-Alex (evening class instructor) is very smily, patient and easy-going. First class was with him was informative and easy.-Michael (morning class instructor) is tough but in a nice way! After his classes you feel like after gym. He has a boot-camp style! But it works well, he never leaves you till you understand what and how you doing. In the end of the course you feel you know everything and dont affraid of anything.

    Last summer, after attending a free class, my two friends & I decided to take the Bartender Drinks & Preparation Certificate Course at the New York Bartending School. I attended and graduated within a week! My teacher was Bryan, who shared his experience and endless knowledge on drinks as bartender. Attending the school was fantastic and the set up of the classroom gives you a clear idea of what it really would be working behind the bar. Bryan answered all the questions my friends & I had. He taught the class being both personal and patient. Recently, Ive moved to the city for school and had trouble finding a bartending job. After contacting the school & expressing this to Alex, he set me up to bartend 2 different events within a very short amount of time! It was very nice to know that the personally helped me gain experience and broaden my resume. Alex was extremely helpful, professional, and was patience with all the questions I had for my first bartending event. In fact, even though Id already graduated, Bryan offered me to tale in on a mixology class at no charge in preparation for the event! Everyone there is really laid back, yet professional, creating a comfortable environment for anyone unexperienced! If youre reading reviews and contemplating whether or not to attend the New York Bartending School-- DO IT!

    My entire experience here was positive. My instructors (Erica for week one and Jessie for week two) were both clearly knowledgeable and experienced. I learned a ton and after two weeks have an even more intense appreciation for good bartending. I havent yet taken advantage of the job placement service but from what I can tell its similarly helpful. The beginners certification course may not be worth it if you already have some experience as a bartender, but if youre just breaking into the bartending game like I was it was 100% worth the time and the money.

    Just finished the two week evening class for the Bartending/Mixology certification. You will be making 10 drinks in under 3-4 days.     If you are looking to make quick moves right into a bartending job without having to work less desirable jobs first, this is absolutely the place to go. Its TONS of hands on experience, the teachers are awesome, and they dont sugarcoat anything. Two weeks of experience is a lot more than I thought it would be!I graduated in mid April, and by the following week, I was booking training spots at awesome bars. Early the following week, those bars were calling me to schedule shifts. It worked for me, it can definitely work for you!

    The school is GREAT! I just graduated from it, what a an adventure. Gio is a GREAT instructor who effortlessly makes you feel comfortable in the classroom (an actual bar) and keeps things upbeat all throughout. In a matter of days I was making 10+ drinks in 6 minutes and by the end I was making 18 drinks in under 5 mins. Great school, great instructor, and awesome faculty all around.

    Amazing experience with Michele & Bryan for an entry level bartending 40-hour course. Both are experts in any kind of liquor & wine & the right techniques that are not really known to a lot of bartenders. They really know their drinks, their ingredients & techniques and are patient & thorough to pass on their knowledge to you. I highly recommend this school for anyone who wants to enter the bartending world & wants to learn the rich history of different spirits, liqueurs, bitters & mixology.     This is by far the best bartending school in Manhattan! I have attended a few others and was not impressed. NY Bartending School is worth every penny they are asking. Dont be offset by the investment you have to make in yourself. It is definitely worth it!They call it industry level standard and that is exactly what it is. They teach you to make 14 drinks in less than 6 minutes. Insane right? But absolutely doable. They teach you all the little tricks to improve your skillset and be extremely confident about your background knowledge ranging from vodka, gin, rum, tequila, whiskeys, brandy, liqueur, wine, beer you name it...The instructors were very strict and precise while maintaining a good sense of humor and benevolence. Everybody can learn this method at their own pace. They give you plenty of time and practice to succeed.I can only recommend this place from the content and quality of how and what they teach. It was a great experience and I feel like I have truly benefited from this class! I took the industry level bartending education which lasted one week Monday to Friday and they offer a possibility to gain experience at an actual bar once you passed the exam. All in all I am highly satisfied and would recommend this to anyone even with prior experience in bartending!

    I had bartended before in different parts of the country, but the mixology is so different in New York that I took the class. Like any school, you get out what you put in. I would say that this school is half of what you need to get a job in New York. The other half is your hustle, your experience, and your effort.Even with years of experience before attending NYBS, I learned a lot. Ive been able to teach coworkers (and even managers) things I learned at NYBS. The instructors are more than competent and clearly have a passion for their craft. Most importantly, the instructors care about your success.The recipes they teach are really great. Every bartender has a different idea about what any particular drink should be like. You will learn different recipes at any bar youll find employment. But those at the NYBS hold up to or exceed many of the other recipes Ive learned. I often prefer their cocktails to many of the ones Ive made and/or had in other bars in New York.The schools certification could be a good résumé builder until you have enough experience to build a solid résumé. Experience is what counts most to potential employers. This pedigree is definitely a useful tool, especially if youre new to the art of bartending.This school is the best you can find as a point of departure. The rest is up to you. Get mixing, folks ;)

    I recently finished the bartender/mixologist course at the New York Bartending School. Ive been wanting to take a course like this for years and finally had the time and the means to do so. It was everything I could have asked for and more. I was pretty much a novice going into the program, only having experience serving small selections of wine and beer. I had no real cocktail experience. It is a lot of information to absorb in a short amount of time, but if youre serious about getting into bartending in New York City, this program is a must. The instructors are bartenders themselves with years of experience working in the city. They are quite thorough and clear with the information while offering little anecdotes from their real life experiences. If you can, definitely stay on for the second week mixology course. Be prepared to study and practice outside of class. You will get what you put it and then some!

    I took the bartending/mixology 2-week course, and I am so glad I decided to go through with this! It’s very hands on and a lot of information, but so worth your time. I had Mike for the bartending portion, and Bryan for the mixology. They are both super awesome and know how to make learning fun. The bartending portion is a bit Sparta style, but that’s to make sure you hit the ground running. Also, thanks to the mixology course, I now know my beers, wine and spirits. They know their stuff! If you need extra help, they’re there to make sure all your questions and concerns are answered. There is a one week course for the bartending/mixology, but if you have the time, the two weeks course definitely gives you more time to absorb/study all the information. You won’t regret coming to this school !

    Having just completed the course this week as a cocktail enthusiast. Frankly the history of wine or spirits is boring, but Bryan used his witty humor way to give me a deeper understanding of the history of various spirits. There is no doubt that I have a better understanding of cocktails after this month long weekend course. Not only that, but Bryan is professional, knowledgeable, and can answer all kinds of questions about wine or spirits, no matter how weird or strange the question is. I really enjoyed Bryans schedule of morning practicals and afternoon lectures.     I recently completed a week-long training at NY Bartending and am thrilled to share my positive experience.Bryan is a fantastic and intelligent instructor. His wit, vivacity, and informative approach make learning both enjoyable and effective. He is highly patient, especially with curious and serious learners. In these challenging times, I wanted to retrain and jump back into the bartending job market this summer. Bryan graciously invited me to join the training for a week.Bryans teaching style is highly descriptive and methodical. He steadily covers the curriculum, ensuring all material is well understood. I genuinely learned more during this training than during my first experience in 2013, under different ownership.One of the standout features of the training is the access to a separate real bar/lounge. By the middle to end of the week, Bryan allows students to practice behind a real bar with a variety of bottles and equipment. This practical experience was invaluable and not available during my initial training. It significantly helped minimize my anxiety and boosted my confidence.At the end of the week, students are allowed to invite a friend to the lounge area and make them a drink from scratch. My best friend loved the Boulevardier I made her, and I enjoyed making a Margarita for myself!Bryan provides a comprehensive booklet covering recipes and alcohol knowledge, sample resumes, insider tips and tricks for getting hired quickly, and information on obtaining TIPS and Food Handlers certification.     My husband gave me this class as a gift and I LOVED every minute of it! Bryan is the absolute best teacher. He’s incredible knowledgeable and prepared us for success and fun! I highly recommend this class for anyone that has ever had any interest in this craft.You will learn all the basic popular drinks and barware and an overview of wine and spirits. At the end the day we use real alcohol to make a drink 😋

    This class is worth every penny. Bryan is simply the best human being ever and many of us didnt want to leave on the last day. Its a great environment, clean, organized and cozy. Students have their own station with every item you can possibly need. You get to learn so much and have the opportunity to develop a lot of skills. The main bar is so gorgeous and classic. It was a great experience. Highly recommended.

    I had such an incredibleexperience at this school, Im so glad I chose this school out of the other options. It doesnt even look like a school, it looks and feels like youre in an actual bar. The instructors(Bryant, Michele, Adrian) have so much personality that they made learning so much fun and enjoyable; Made friends quickly too. They are very efficient in their teaching methods that youll be executing up to 10 drinks in minutes within the week. You can literally leave this school and apply at any bar with confidence. They also offer Master classes if youre looking to find work in a very upscale restaurant.

    I love this school! I took a course 5 years ago and I went back for a refresher course. The instructors gave me the same attention as they gave to first time students and I had no additional cost.Everybody was so friendly. Bryan (the owner), Miguel (instructor), and Omar (front desk). 🙋🏻‍♀️We learned about drinks and got great tips from Miguel.Bryan is a super funny guy and made the class very enjoyable.Omar was super helpful with all the questions I had and offered to check my resume before I sent it to the referral they gave me.I left the place with tools to find a job, plus one referral!Very happy with the experience and to have spent a few days with these guys and my classmates. 🤗

First I was new to this area I am so nervous and afraid but the teacher was so nice and we work out the problems MORE Prices you will pass the test .     After reading all the reviews online I decided to take a look for myself. I ended up registering and taking classes right away and I am so glad I did. I did the 2 week evening course and learned everything so quickly because it’s all hands on and Bryan and the other staff are amazing. Once you register you can come in and practice as much as you like before the exam. I literally just finished taking it and passed it with confidence which is why I’m even writing a review. Def check the school out! I had an awesome experience and got my certification in 2 weeks :)

    The experience in the NEW YOUR BARTENDER SCHOOL is great. You get to learn alot about story with Cocktail and learn all the classic drinks. If you are interested in cocktail highly recommend to try it.
