Highlight for me was the crispy rice with a caviar. You can’t go wrong with these two. The rest of the dishes were pretty good but we were a bit puzzled by the squid pasta as the serving wasn’t really substantial as an entree dish and it tasted like wok-fried veggies. So wasn’t really pleased by that. Decent soju too. You come to Nobu for the scene but not to have punchy Japanese dishes.

Absolutely incredible!!!! The food was out of this world. The service was impeccable. Cant ask for more!! We had toro jalapeño sashimi, new style sashimi, rock shrimp, salmon and tuna tacos, a roll, and the donuts. Walked out with th biggest smile on my face!

What do you do in mid-town New York when youre on a solo trip, without your boo?Go to Nobu (no boo), of course!Snagged a late lunch on a Mid-town Monday and enjoyed having the bar to mostly to myself.Started with the Matsuhisa Martini, which was light, bright and refreshing with Suntory Haku, Hokusetsu Junmai Sake, Ginger, and Japanese 🥒Then ordered the Classic Bento, which had exactly what I was craving: Sashimi Salad, Assorted Sushi, Vegetable Spicy Garlic, Black Cod with Miso, Rock Shrimp Tempura with Creamy Spicy Sauce, and Miso Soup (soup came out first). The portions were generous, but not too heavy to keep me from a productive afternoon / evening.Staff were friendly and attentive - and the atmosphere was nice, yet unassuming. What a treat to waltz in for such wonderful food from one of the best to ever do it!

Super happening restaurant! It was super busy on a Saturday night, lots of people waiting, luckily we had booked a table.Restaurant has a great vibe, great music as well.We ordered a few dishes to share, all of them tastes great and very fresh!!We got few cocktails, a nice bottle of warm sake, we had an amazing evening at Nobu 57!!

  • Review 5 (2024-12-18 - Rating: 4)

Ordered maki trio on DoorDash. I’ve never had Nobu at the restaurant. It arrived as described. The quality was good and the trio is a nice value. The spicy tuna roll was not spicy. The yellowtail jalapeño roll had nice jalapeño flavor and not the overtly fishy flavor of yellowtail. Shrimp tempura was no differ from any other tempura. Not pictured was the nice dipping sauce in addition to soy sauce.

Perfect in every way. Able to make a reservation on short notice, was a little late no problem, server was attentive, knowledgeable and nice. everything we had was delicious, we only ordered small plates as we were not that hungry. The spinach salad 💕💕💕 oh and the tuna on crispy rice was fun and very good. had such a good time forgot to take many photos - already planning my next visit. This Nobu on 57th is every bit as good as downtown or better and the bar/small bites area in a big plus. we spent 2H-45M and never felt rushed. cocktails were interesting as well 🍸💕

Nobu Fifty Seven is a part of a chain of restaurants - but is not what youd expect in a typical franchise. My first visit to this restaurant in Manhattan was well over a decade ago when they had first opened. It had been a celebrity hotspot and was in fact co-owned by Robert De Niro. De Niro had convinced Chef Nobu Matsuhisa to expand his restaurants many years ago. A long time has passed since my last visit and Im glad to see the quality and excitement surrounding this restaurant hasnt diminished. The food was all excellent quality, fresh, prepared as ordered and well presented. Our server was great and the atmosphere here is wonderful.

  • Review 9 (2024-08-02 - Rating: 5)

What a experience, Nobu 57 is packed and you need to reserve a table a few days in advance. The food and the experience is worth every penny, everything feels fresh and tastes delicious. I recommend the Toro Tatar with caviar(45$) and the spicy tuna roll. If you found this review helpful please follow my account!

  • Review 10 (2024-04-09 - Rating: 5)

I absolutely love Nobu Fifty Seven! I’ve been to this location uptown many times and it has by far been one of my top favorite restaurants! Food, drinks, and dessert are delicious and the service is excellent! Highly recommend!

  • Review 11 (2024-12-14 - Rating: 5)

A great experience at Nobu on fifty seven. The food was so delicious and the attention to service was great, even with the restaurant being packed. Make sure you get reservations, especially during high seasons. The tasty food and experience makes the food worth every penny. Its a great restaurant for diners who are also looking for vegan options. The service is exceptional, clearing side plates and putting down new cutlery. The wagyu dumplings were very good. They also had truffle mushroom seared in a pan with truffle glazed sauce. The edamame had a spicy kick to them which was great.Highly recommend this place.

  • Review 12 (2024-02-19 - Rating: 5)

The food here is exceptional. Came with my girlfriend to celebrate our Valentine’s Day and we were left stunned by how good the food was. The rice balls were a great starter followed by the creamy shrimp. The wagyu tacos literally melt in your mouth and the steak I had was so savory. Amazing atmosphere and service, perfect for a date night or special occasion. Highly recommend, it’s worth it.

  • Review 13 (2021-02-25 - Rating: 4)

Came here for Valentines day. Their outdoor dining was safe and warm, separated by tables and each room has a heater. The food was amazing and service was great. My personal favorite was the crispy rice because Ive never had anything like that before and it was delicious! Sushi was fresh and Dr recommend.

Cosy elegant atmosphere and gourmet gastronomy combined

  • Review 15 (2023-12-14 - Rating: 4)

I went here with a bunch of colleagues on a client lunch. I knew it was a really well known spot and super high end. The food was yes delicious but I just don’t know if I can ever justify spending over a $100 per person for lunch lol I’m definitely not a New Yorker I guess.. also I’m more of a meat person over fish anyway so I may be a bit biased. But yes the sushi & sashimi was super fresh and delicious. I got the lunch Classic Bento Box it came with 2 different boxes. Very creative visually and delicious but the salad with ahi tuna came with a dressing a bit too salty for my taste. Their macha ice cream is amazing. Overall an amazing experience but not sure if I’d go back unless it was on the company expense again :)

  • Review 17 (2023-10-02 - Rating: 5)

Food is really great, everything was really really good, the Brussel sprouts, the mushroom salad, vegetarian tacos. I thought that everything was superb until I tried the Wagyu Tacos, and that outshined everything else. They were espectacular, among the best meals I ever had.

  • Review 18 (2023-12-08 - Rating: 5)

A delightful experience. We came here to celebrate our milestone anniversary and we are very glad we chose this gem. Service is top notch and the food is as delightful as their top notch reputation.

  • Review 19 (2023-09-04 - Rating: 5)

Thank you again Chef Matt Hoyle and Chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa. Once again you’ve surpassed all expectations. Truly one of the best dinning experiences I’ve ever had. Very much appreciate the special menu. As you can see from attached photos this is one of the very best on the world.

  • Review 20 (2023-01-05 - Rating: 5)

If youre looking for an exceptional Japanese dining experience in Manhattan, then Nobu is the place to go. Located in the heart of Midtown near Rockefeller Center, the restaurant is the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious meal, along with the citys vibrant atmosphere. The menu at Nobu is diverse and features a variety of traditional Japanese dishes and ingredients, including sushi, sashimi, tempura, and more. The sushi is especially noteworthy, as it is made using the freshest ingredients, carefully chosen for the best flavor and texture. The sushi chefs are highly skilled and create some of the best sushi in the city. The atmosphere at Nobu is also noteworthy. The restaurant is elegant and modern, with unique decor and comfortable seating. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they are always willing to answer questions and make sure you have an enjoyable experience. The drinks at Nobu are also top-notch. The restaurant offers a wide selection of sake, beer, and other beverages. The cocktails are especially impressive, as they are expertly crafted and incredibly flavorful.Overall, Nobu is an excellent Japanese restaurant in Manhattan. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the drinks are outstanding. If youre looking for a memorable dining experience, then Nobu is a great choice.

  • Review 21 (2024-08-01 - Rating: 4)

Beautiful restaurant and fresh seafood. The food is good but the price reflects the setting and ambience of the restaurant and the service more than the flavor of the food itself.

  • Review 22 (2024-01-15 - Rating: 5)

Incredible food. Truly a masterpiece. Fresh and flavorful. The decor is dim and modern. The service was almost impeccable, unfortunately we did need to ask several times for drink refills but that it was so busy I didn’t mind.A special restaurant that certainly lives up to its reputation!

  • Review 23 (2024-03-04 - Rating: 5)

This upscale spot is perfect for special occasions or a night out. The rolls are amazing, and the food is absolutely delicious. Definitely book a reservation as its always packed. A lot of people opt for drinks at the bustling bar.

  • Review 24 (2024-10-22 - Rating: 5)

Phenomenal meal with custom made dishes by the head chef. This was a busy Monday night, but the team made us feel like we were the only ones there.Truly a memorable experience. And the sake was unreal!

  • Review 25 (2024-01-18 - Rating: 5)

First time trying Nobu and it was absolutely amazing. I tried the classic bento box to get a good sampling of different menu items - every single thing was delicious and it was a lot of food. Finished off with the dessert bento box as well at the servers recommendation and as a matcha lover, matcha gelato is now my new obsession. Great tea selection as well for any other tea enthusiasts out there!

  • Review 26 (2023-10-08 - Rating: 5)

At first we thought wow this restaurant is too big we may not have the attention we need but our waitress Nara was exceptional. She was so patient, nice, and helpful. Made my wifes birthday great. Food was great and place is really nice!

  • Review 27 (2024-08-22 - Rating: 4)

The food is fancy. The chefs cook the food in front of you. You check off items on their menu and choose what you would like to eat. Pretty pricey but worth it for the quality of food. Drinks are a bit much but if you like soju or wine then go for it. Nice selection overall.

  • Review 28 (2021-08-31 - Rating: 5)

It was amazing. Our server Pea was wonderful and helped us craft the perfect tasting menu for our tastes and budget. Every single thing we ate or drank was so flavorful and balanced, and we had a wonderful meal for my birthday!

I had a really nice time here! The service was nice and the food was excellent! Very fresh and so good! I dont have any complaints! I think that the atmosphere was great! The chocolate dessert was devine! I enjoyed every part of this meal!

  • Review 30 (2024-08-29 - Rating: 5)

Extremely courteous and polite staff. Perfect place to celebrate special occasions. Ready to cater special dietary needs.A must visit for delicious Japanese food.

  • Review 31 (2023-05-15 - Rating: 5)

Update (desserts)!Got the donuts and the bento box (dessert) which is just their molten chocolate lava cake. Subbed their bento box ice cream for the caramel gelato and it was delicious! Their donuts were ok, super dry but the caramel sauce and gelato that came with them were really good.Came here before a broadway show (six at 7pm), not recommended timing wise - definitely give yourself about an hour and a half for a good meal for a relaxed paceWe got the baby corn, rock shrimp tempura, miso lamp chops, and a california roll. Everything was amazing, even the roll. The baby corn came with peruvian corn as well, which was a nice surprise since i had never had that before. Miso lamp chops were good, but tbh wasn’t a fan of the miso flavor. More of a me problem than the food being an issue though.Standouts were the rock shrimp tempura (YUM) and the nobu sidecar. Definitely recommended those two!Our server sam was very accommodating when we let him know we had to get out of there quick for our show. Expect to wait a bit for the lamp chops, learned the hard way

  • Review 32 (2023-12-28 - Rating: 5)

My favorite NYC restaurant hands down. Yes it’s a pretty penny, but worth every bit. The atmosphere is very peaceful and fancy. Waitstaff is super kind and welcoming, definitely happy to put in more orders!! Great place for a bday, entertaining customers, older family gathering, etc. The food is literally SO good. 100/10 recommend.

  • Review 33 (2022-11-17 - Rating: 5)

Excellent food.Annoying waiter, I could tell he does not like his job. Sat by the bar and asked for his recommendation and he just proceeded to recommend me the most expensive maki (with a bad attitude too)… I wanted to try uni, snapper, eel… ( and I did) not thanks to him tho.

  • Review 34 (2021-10-22 - Rating: 5)

Such a great experience. The food is incredible, each part well thought out and assembled! The yellowtail with jalapeño was incredible and the spicy tuna and crispy rice is amazing with their special sauce! Their drinks were great as well. Our server was very helpful and kind to us.

  • Review 35 (2021-11-09 - Rating: 5)

We went here for my birthday dinner and this was my first time at any Nobu location. The food was delicious, we loved the baby corn! We also got the lychee and pina martinis which were both really good. They even brought out some birthday chocolates which was super nice. Loved my experience :)

  • Review 36 (2023-06-28 - Rating: 4)

Small portions that add up to give you the full Nobu experience. Such friendly and quick service. I just wish they’d improve their presentation so that you really feel like you’re getting what you pay for.

  • Review 38 (2018-12-19 - Rating: 5)

I went to Nobu to see what the hype is all about and guess people have the right to hype it up. The sake was amazing see had the devil killer sake which was so smooth that you cant stop drinking it and it has a kick at the end. The blue fin tuna melts in your mouth and the warm mushroom salad was a dream! Make sure you use the lime for the warm mushroom salad its a game changer!

  • Review 39 (2020-11-25 - Rating: 5)

So this isnt a sushi place. You wont find special pieces here, just the basics. Its a fusion tapas place. Its amazing either way. Perfect compromise for a group that includes someone who isnt a huge fan of sushi, but will tolerate fish. Very lively, had to yell to communicate with my date. Wasnt a fan of the vibe personally, I prefer a more laid back place. Good for a first date, if youre shy or nervous about awkward silences or saying the wrong thing. They wont hear you anyway. You can bring your baby here! Someone did when I was there... at midnight. So obviously theyre family- and child- friendly.... I would definitely return. Consistently good, if you cant think of anywhere else to dine, you cant go wrong! Very professional waitstaff. My waiter went above and beyond, going back and forth to the kitchen, trying to see if they had any off menu sushi pieces available, and they didnt... so that was disappointing (see first line of this review)

  • Review 40 (2022-10-18 - Rating: 5)

I haven’t been to to Nobu in a very long time & it did not disappoint. The food, drinks, atmosphere & service were all fantastic! I would recommend to book in advance if you are planning to sit in the dining room.

Been to many Nobu restaurants over the years. NYC wins as best spot. I only do the Omakase … it’s an expensive experience but worth it. I love the demon slayer sake as I find it’s the most balanced.

  • Review 43 (2020-03-04 - Rating: 5)

It’s a top quality Japanese restaurant. The food and the service are perfect. The environment is beautiful and chic. However, you really pay for it. It’s not a low or medium budget place. It’s an amazing place and one of the best I’ve eaten in life.

  • Review 44 (2022-07-04 - Rating: 4)

Unique place to eat, love the location. Went here for dinner with a friend, food was good specially steak , drinks were tasty but our waitress was slow .

  • Review 45 (2024-10-02 - Rating: 5)

Nobu 57 in NYC delivers an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The ambiance is sleek and sophisticated, perfect for a special night out. The food is simply outstanding—every dish is beautifully presented and packed with incredible flavors. The signature Black Cod with Miso and the Yellowtail Jalapeño are absolute must-tries. The sushi is fresh and melts in your mouth. The service was attentive and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations throughout the meal. Though on the pricier side, the quality of the food and the overall experience make it worth every penny. Nobu 57 is a dining experience you won’t forget!

  • Review 46 (2023-11-15 - Rating: 5)

I have been to Nobu 57 over 20 times. It’s amazing, from service to food. I would highly recommend everything here. Expensive but worth it.

  • Review 47 (2019-09-26 - Rating: 5)

Amazing sushi experience. The fish is super fresh and the selection is amazing. The ambience is also great and perfect for after work meal and drinks. The prices here a little bit more on the expensive side though so you have to be prepared. My favorite dishes include the yellowtail jalapeño appetizer, the monkfish pate, as well as sushi and sashimi à la cart.

  • Review 48 (2017-09-08 - Rating: 5)

Well, this place was highly recommended, and I must say it was the best place we had eaten at in New York, at that time. Nobu, you were impressive. I must say it was not cheap. We chose to do a chefs fare which was $80 per person. Please note I could have said $200 per person and they would have done that.I will say even with gps mapping, this place was hard to find, so Ill attach some pictures of the building which Nobu was located in.The drinks seen were the cucumber martini. Very smooth and light but still potent. Garnished with sliced cucumber and some sort of lightly pickled fish, which was slightly sweet. Very good. I enjoy chilled and filtered sake, so thats what I got.The first plate was tuna sashimi. Ive not seen such pale looking tuna but anyway ... it was excellent. Light soy sauce and a cilantro style garnish.Next was the tuna sashimi salad. A zesty ginger soy dressing, we really enjoyed it.Then the rock tempura shrimp. Omg 😲 this is what bang bang shrimp wants to be. The texture was money, the dressing was money. There was some diced (squid?) in it ? Excellent!Next was the crispy rice and spicy tuna tartar. They cubed sushi rice, and fried it. So thats on a small skewer and you put the tartar on that. Wow !! Also, the ponzu sauce. Definitely not some jar run of the mill stuff you get in BR. This..,, you could taste the fresh lemon etc.Next the black cod on butter leaf lettuce. This was a cooked dish which had some crispy skin !!! Wow !!! You eat them like lettuce wraps !! Yes !!The last plate, honestly I did not get the name of. But let me tell you, the pictures dont do it justice. Even though these two items look similar to the ones at places like tsunami, the flavor packed in them put them way ahead of the pack. Nobu music was similar to tsunami but tsunami food cant compete with this. What I did not get a good picture of was the salt and cilantro under the fish. The sesame on the salmon roll gave it a deep flavor and it was properly salted.A must when in New York !!

  • Review 49 (2024-10-30 - Rating: 5)

Excellent quality, everything was perfect. Having lived in Japan and tried some very good sushi, I absolutely recommend it.

  • Review 50 (2018-08-24 - Rating: 5)

Get the Omakase. No really. Get the Omakase. This is a place where doing so is an excellent choice and they can be trusted to make it a wonderful experience. The prices are high here but so is the service and the quality of he food. The Omakase is not the same dishes as is on the menu. If will be significantly different and it is delightful.

  • Review 51 (2018-09-25 - Rating: 5)

Nobu is our favorite restaurant worldwide. Nobu 57th St. in NYC is our favorite Nobu! The staff creates golden memories! Our recent experiences introduced us to Brittany in the lounge, a master at her craft of service. In addition to the dishes that call us back, she made great suggestions that are now on our Next Trip List. My granddaughter and I had so much fun the first night that we returned the following night. We were having such a good time in the crowded lounge that a lady stopped at our table on the way out and told us her group had been watching us laughing and wanted us to know it was great seeing a grandmother/grandchild having such a great time together. Although Brittany was busy giving 1st Class Service to everyone, she insisted that she take a picture of us to remember that time.Other times we have had memorable at the sushi bar, watching the melody of creation. Although we are vegetarians, our favorite dishes include Japanese Wagyu Steak, which Im embarrassed to say is worth crossing the line. Black Cod w/Miso is a dish we discovered in Nobu Nassau and is perfection every time! Their Tuna Tataki is the best we have ever had. The sushi is great, especially if you are watching it being made. One of the new dishes Brittany introduced us to is Crispy Rice w/Tuna, little cubes of crispy rice on a stick, which is dipped in sauce, then smeared with tuna, very different and fun to eat. We ALWAYS have Caramel Soba Cha Bar for desert. It is unforgettably delicious! Since ordering it the first time, we have never been able to try any of the others. Its much like Nobu 57th Street. Once experienced, it is hard to try any other restaurant. It keeps calling us back!

Good atmosphere.Delicious food, but nothing special that I have expected because of the NAME.Good and polite service.BUT there was some problem with cleanliness… especially in the restroom.

  • Review 53 (2021-11-13 - Rating: 5)

As always great food, everything is fresh and the attention to detail is impeccable. Service was a bit slow, but nothing to impact the experience. All the staff was friendly, but the space between the courses took too long.

  • Review 54 (2024-09-01 - Rating: 5)

Having dined at Nobu locations around the world, I was excited to try Nobu Fifty Seven for the first time. Even with a last-minute reservation, the experience was nothing short of fantastic. The staff were attentive and accommodating, making the evening smooth and enjoyable from the moment I walked in.The food lived up to the high standards that Nobu is known for—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish met my expectations, reinforcing why Nobu remains a favorite wherever I travel.Overall, my spontaneous dinner at Nobu Fifty Seven was a wonderful experience. Whether you’re a long-time Nobu fan or new to the brand, this location delivers on all fronts with great service, superb food, and the signature Nobu atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a refined yet relaxed dining option in New York City.

  • Review 55 (2024-07-10 - Rating: 4)

Very nice atmosphere, very nice personeel and good food (just good). With the prices you have to pay it should be a bit better - In my opinion. Still very good place.

Grabbed a bar seat. Great bartenders. Food came out fast and was on par with other locations.

  • Review 57 (2021-05-24 - Rating: 5)

Food is delicious! Everything we ordered was amazing. The question might be whether it’s worth the price.

  • Review 58 (2024-08-12 - Rating: 5)

Stellar service and great atmosphere with well-paced plates. Delicious appetizer and entree options, though the sushi from the sushi menu itself was pretty standard compared to other places I’ve tried— It was still good, but I definitely would not come here just for sushi, if that makes sense. However, perhaps trying the Omakase next time will change my mind.I highly recommend the yellowtail jalapeño to start, as well as the crispy tuna rice. The miso cod and beef were good too (and the wagyu dumplings).

  • Review 59 (2024-02-14 - Rating: 5)

Excellent, superb, service and food. Food allergies were taken seriously. We had Omakase and the Chefs choose was extraordinary good.We can recommend Nobu 57 to anybody that wants a heavenly food experience.

  • Review 61 (2020-01-04 - Rating: 4)

Great food specially the seafood ceviche, Yellowtail Jalapeno, Blackcod Miso and rockshrimp tempura ones. would avoid the the grilled baby squid as arrived burnt. Also ask for a quieter area as some areas with large table can be very loud and annoying. The downtown venue of Nobuwould be recommended btw the 2 places.

  • Review 62 (2019-11-07 - Rating: 5)

Very famous place in new york! I finally got it. The service is good and fast, the restaurant has a lot of people, but they served very quickly, I was surprised. The food is delicious. I recommend!

  • Review 64 (2020-11-08 - Rating: 5)

Fantastic experience - unbelievable but one of the only Japanese restaurants to actually have a Masu cup for the sake!! The salmon and the fluke tiradito appetizers are my favorites - service couldn’t have been any better too ! Every time we think about going for sushi we end up here, because the price may not be the cheapest but it also is not absurd - you don’t have to rely on the omasake options - highly recommend sticking to the appetizers and some sushi that are priced between $25-35 each - I think my wife and I always share about 5 of them and feels like plenty of food.

  • Review 65 (2024-05-26 - Rating: 5)

This place was worth both the hype and the price. The food was outstanding!! The sashimi was so smooth and tasty and you can definitely tell they use fresh fish. For lunch I got the lunch box which came with a little bit of everything. I Personally got the salmon bowl but they had like 4 other options as well. Highly recommend this place if you get the chance.

We enjoyed Nubu Fifty Seven last night...absolutely closer to perfection than we have ever experienced at a restaurant. We were immediately seated by Hostess upstairs at a corner beautiful table. Denny our server did a great job in recommending and presenting us good choices. We started with Nobu Ceviche, Edamame Chocio, Salmon Tartare... washed down with perfectly mixed martinis. The Vibe was exciting electric high volume elegant energy created by a full house of happy customers. The dress urban hip casual. Main course Brenda had the Rock Shrimp Tempura and I had the Black Cod with Miso with a bottle of California Chardonnay. Finished with Passion Fruit Baked Alaska with Cappuccinos. Thank you Denny and Nobu for over the top 5 star service gourmet food and ambiance.

Great lunch specials with the Bento boxes. Surprisingly large portions. We split a classic and a signature and ended up taking a surprising amount of it home. The toro and the miso black cod were major highlights!

First, check in was a breeze but be prepared to show ID with proof of vaccination. The wagyu tacos melted in my mouth, the lobster was phenomenal , the chicken with choice of sauce was cooked to perfection.. the crispy rice with tuna was so good we ordered seconds, and the brownie for dessert was so rich. Service was also 10/10 thanks to our waitress Sue. Will definitely be coming back!

  • Review 71 (2024-03-09 - Rating: 4)

The food was excellent. The waiter was extremely impatient with our three person group who was unfamiliar with the menu. We had a multi course tasting that everyone enjoyed, and I cant remember all the different courses but it was delicious! I would recommend just going with one of the tasting menus.

  • Review 72 (2023-05-22 - Rating: 5)

Definitely recommend the black cod and crispy rice with spicy tuna! Sushi was okay

My wife and I went to dine in at Nobu four years ago and we had the worst experience ever. Few days ago we were in the city and we decided to give Nobu another chance. Now, we are both vegetarian due to religious reasons and our server Sarah made sure we both try different variates of vegetarian options that made our night. I was very skeptical at first thinking that this is a sushi place but we were very surprised of all the options this place offered us. The cauliflower jalapeño and the Brussels sprouts are a MUST!! We tried also small bites of vegetarian tacos and they were a bit overpriced for the size they were however we had a blast and we don’t regret giving it another chance. Thank you to the amazing chefs and the loving waitress Sarah.10/10

My wife and daughter were looking forward to eating here for my daughters 21st birthday and they were not disappointed. We had a great family style dinner with some tasty drinks from the bar. My daughter got to order her first drink and get carded. A bit pricey (depending on your budget), but the food a service was great. There was a nice birthday surprise at the end of diner that they did for us.

In the eloquent words of future, nobu nobu nobu nobu! Nobu really cannot do wrong. The atmosphere, the cocktails, the drinks *chefs kiss* Love it here.*a note, every nobu has a slightly different menu so there are nuisances. Check ahead to see if the item you’re looking for is there or try something else bc everything is delicious.

  • Review 78 (2023-10-10 - Rating: 5)

So, Im usually very skeptical that places like this will live up to their reputation - especially when youre definitely paying premium prices and Im almost disappointed to say that Nobu absolutely blew me away, and the bill actually fit the quality and preparation of everything we were served omakase.Meticulously prepped, every bite, you could tell was designed with purpose. Balanced flavors, wonderful presentation, and wide variety of fresh and quality ingredients. From every appetizer through to the dessert, I was taken aback by how delicious everything tasted and was curated.Definitely one of the top 3 meals Ive ever had. Amazing.

10 Stars for Tahir. His recommendations in menu choices are spot onI’ve been to Nobu BH and Nobu Malibu and by far the most attention to detail was here on Nobu 57th.Everything was excellent. Tahir recommended two amazing king crab dishes that were outstanding. You would be lucky to have such amazing professional such as Tahir.

I’ve been to Nobu Downtown and was blown away by the experience so decided to try the midtown location for girls’ night out. Amazing experience again! Highly recommend the tasting menu with wine pairing. The presentation is as incredible as the food is tasty!! Not cheap by any means so if you aren’t prepared to pay handsomely for the adventure you need to go elsewhere but from my perspective the meal is worth the memories I’ve made for a lifetime!! Highly recommend it!! The pics are in order of how the dishes were presented.

  • Review 82 (2023-12-11 - Rating: 4)

Nobu was an interesting experience. Went here for an anniversary lunch, booked months ahead. The bento boxes are very underwhelming and just not worth it. Sushi roll was good. The ambiance is nice and overall the restaurant is beautiful. To be fully transparent, we both thought Sugar Fish is better and much cheaper.

  • Review 83 (2024-04-21 - Rating: 4)

Don’t get me wrong, everything was good but I think the reputation of Nobu set my expectations high. We had the crispy rice, toro yuzu truffle, yellowtail jalepeno, wagyu dumplings, ribeye yuzu truffle, rock shrimp, miso cod, salmon taco, tuna taco, house special roll, the doughnuts, pumpkin cake and the chocolate namelaka. Everything was good but the standouts were the wagyu dumplings, toro yuzu truffle, the doughnuts and the pumpkin cake. Nobu is good, but not as great as I thought it would be.

  • Review 84 (2020-03-02 - Rating: 5)

I’ve been coming here for 10 years, and always eat in the lounge instead of the restaurant area (it’s much more laid back). And while all the service is top-notch, Luca is something special. He deserves a raise! One note to the chef: BRING BACK THE OYSTERS PHYLLO (in the nest)! It was the best thing in the menu, and you brutally took it off the lounge menu in the last 6 months.

  • Review 85 (2024-06-24 - Rating: 5)

Recently we accidentally booked the wrong nobu and they accommodated us in just a few minutes. Our server was fabulous to every member of our party and the food was as excellent as it always is.

  • Review 86 (2023-09-30 - Rating: 5)

I recently tried the tasting menu, and it was fantastic. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and explained each dish as it came out, which was a nice touch. They worked together smoothly, like a well-practiced team. But what really stood out was the dessert. It was just as amazing as I remembered from the downtown location. Its easily one of my favorite desserts ever.In a nutshell, NOBUs tasting menu and service were top-notch, and that dessert is a must-try. Highly recommend it!

This is probably one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in nyc. As a vegetarian, many Japanese restaurants do not have many options; Nobu 57 on the other hand has a plethora of delicious options to chose from. They have many delicious salads and tofu dishes, but my favorite is their crispy rice dish.

  • Review 90 (2023-10-05 - Rating: 4)

Nobus 2nd NYC location is in a more touristy area near Central Park and Columbus Circle. Its located at the ground level of a large office building and can be easily missed if youre not aware of this. When you walk in, you are immediately greeted by the host/hostess and youll see the bar area to the left of them. The main dining room and sushi bar is upstairs. As expected, the decor and ambience was sleek, modern, and dramatically dark. The service was very good, food was excellent quality, and the atmosphere was lively but not too noisy or uncomfortable. About the food, I knew the portions would be smaller than I was used to, but paying $40 for a small artichoke noodle salad, $8 for a miniature, bite sized Asian taco, or $15 for two very small scoops of sherbet is a bit excessive. And yes, I assumed that ahead of time. With that said, everyone I was with had a great time and enjoyed the food.

  • Review 91 (2023-09-25 - Rating: 5)

I went there at lunch time, and the second-floor dining area with a row of Japanese chefs cooking in a row is very spectacular and upscale. It is reputed to be the best Japanese restaurant in New York City.I enjoyed a $65 lunch box. It is much larger than it looks.

One of the better Nobu’s we’ve been to. We made a 5:30 reservation as we had a Broadway show at 7 and they had no problems getting us out of there by 6:20 even with our large order. One note here, even if you arrive early they won’t seat you until 5:30. We got some our usual favs like new style salmon sashimi and beef toban yaki and also tried new things that included the incredible A5 tataki, lobster inaniwa pasta (so good we didn’t take a pic before it was gone), and tuna tataki. Highly recommend this Nobu!

Everything was delicious but the fried rice is a must. Tuna sushi was also delicious

  • Review 96 (2024-03-24 - Rating: 4)

Food and service were both top notch, but ambience felt a bit corporate and touristy. The matsuhisa martini was excellent, as was the yellowtail jalapeno and crispy rice with spicy tuna. The rock shrimp tempura, miso cod, and salmon tacos were tasty too.Overall I enjoyed the experience but prices were higher than they should be given that the food wasnt particularly inventive or complex.

Wow!! This was our first time dining at Nobu and everything was fantastic! This exceeded our expectations, I’m not sure how anyone could have a bad experience. Our server was so so helpful, walked us through the menu, answered any questions we had and made a recommendation of I believe 6 dishes, all of which we ordered! We also got the miso soup, not directly recommended, but the best miso soup I’ve ever had. We were pleased and impressed with everything, what a pleasant experience! He said we pretty much got the Omakase of our own making, instead of the predetermined menu from the chef. Although I’m sure that is also delicious. The crispy rice with spicy tuna was heavenly & our favorite!! Seriously, we can’t stop thinking about it! The black cod with miso was insane and neither of us really care for hot fish dishes, but I would order this again. They brought us a dessert to celebrate our anniversary and the donuts with the caramel sauce they bring in a separate container was divine.Cold Dishes- Toro Tartare with Caviar- Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna- Salmon & Avocado Maki Roll- Tuna Sashimi Salad with Matsuhisa Dressing- Originally ordered Tuna Tataki with Tosazu, however our waiter came back and recommended the salad as the dressing is incredible.- Yellowtail JalapeñoHot Dishes- Black Cod with Miso- Miso Soup with Tofu

I hadnt been to a Nobu in years and my preconceived notion these days is that it has become a chain and sort of lost its luster of being the it place when it comes to sushi. I mean a quick google search informed me that Nobu now has over 50 locations worldwide... 50!?!?!?! But thats okay. Nothing lasts forever. All good runs must end at some point... I mean even Kobe had to announce his retirement a month into his final season because he needed to take the heat off of him playing so bad lol. Father time truly is undefeated.Needless to say, I walked in here with low expectations and fe– Wait. Do you hear that...? Oh my god...is that the Undertakers music!?!?!NOBU MADE ME EAT EVERY LAST WORD OF DOUBT, MAKING ME RETHINK IF FATHER TIME STILL HAS THAT 0 NEXT TO HIS RECORD.The quality of ingredients in here was a great reminder that there are levels to this game, and Nobu is on the top level. I wont go into great detail on any one dish because everything was so good, but the must haves are the Toro Tartare with Caviar, Yellowtail Jalapeño, Crispy Rice w Spicy Tuna, and the Black Cod. Okay you know what, I need to go into great detail about the yellowtail jalapeño. It was the best cut of fish I have had outside of Japan, likely because of the sauce. It took every bone in my body to not pick up the plate and drink the remaining sauce from the plate like it was the milk left over in my bowl of fruit loops.I need to shout out my boy Darryl who was SO consistent in refilling my water right as it got to a dangerously low level and for bussing the tables between every course. His timing and precision were insane. Precision beats power and timing beats speed. The attention to detail here is nuts.I will close with a quote from the great Roy Jones Jr:YALL MUST HAVE FORGOT!IG @jnov_Tiktok @jnov__

All of the food was fresh and nicely presented. We came on a weekday and sat for probably around 3-4 hours. Location isn’t as fancy as the downtown Nobu. If you’re trying to impress someone from a vibe/atmosphere perspective I don’t think this would be the spot - especially for the money.

Lunch at Nobu in New York City is a culinary experience like no other. The fusion of Japanese and Peruvian flavors is extraordinary, with dishes that are beautifully crafted and bursting with exquisite flavors. The sleek and modern ambiance, combined with attentive service, creates a memorable dining experience. Nobu is a must-visit for anyone seeking an elevated lunch experience in the heart of NYC.

  • Review 115 (2019-12-11 - Rating: 5)

First time at Nobu. The four of us had the tasting menu recommended by our waitress where the chef selects the items for the evening. Plenty of food, tasty, but light on the raw fish selections. Service was fine. Not rushed at all. Spent over three hours there for the six course tasting menu, so the courses we not rushed. We found it very expensive for what we were served. We could have gone to just about any of the best French restaurants in the city and had a better meal with wine pairings for what we spent.

Came here for a birthday dinner and had a very pleasant experience. The food is amazing, the drink choices are awesome, and the location is extremely ideal especially when planning a get together with a bunch of friends and family for a birthday. Along with this, the all around aroma, scenery, and design of the restaurant is awesome. Definitely will be coming back!

  • Review 117 (2023-07-28 - Rating: 4)

It was our first trying Nobu 57 as we are Nobu downtown fans. As expected, the food was great and our waiter was very informative and friendly. You can’t go wrong with yellowtail jalapeño, rock shrimp tempura and black cod with miso as those are what they are known for. We also liked our waiter’s recommendation of crispy rice with spicy tuna and tuna - salmon sashimi. Miso soup and edamame were perfectly fine. No need to mention the quality of their sushi. But the ambiance was a lot worse than we expected, it was extremely loud upstairs. We got their shaved ice cream dessert at the end. Overall, would highly recommend.

I wanted to share my experience dining at Nobu for my Birthday. My waitress was Pea and she was so knowledgeable with the menu and made suggestions according to what we informed her that we like. I eat Seafood and Vegetables and no meat. Her suggestions were amazing! I had the Pineapple Martini actually two..lol. It is the best Martini I ever had! We tried the Crispy Rice and Spicy Salmon, Rock Shrimp Tempura, and Lobster Tacos. For our main course I had a Seafood platter with Soy Butter Sauce, Mushroom and Asparagus and my Husband had the same dish with Beef. We had Chocolate cake for dessert! I had an amazing experience! Thank you Nobu and Pea!

Sat at bar. Nice room, nice crowd, very nice and attentive bartender. Expensive, but not a rip off. Sashimi platter, some like tuna, and baby squid were excellent, others, like salmon, whitefish, a bit bland. Endamine bar snack was excellent. Jalapeño sashimi dish, while very nicely plated, fish was overpowered by Jalapeño.All in all, very nice, not great, but very nice.

  • Review 127 (2024-12-16 - Rating: 5)

For the best experience, get a table in the bar and graze the menu with friends. The drinks are fantastic - especially the sidecar, and the food is outstanding. Get some chef suggestions for the sushi - kampachi was my favorite. Go for the crispy rice spicy tuna, the yellowtail jalapeno rolls, the wagyu dumplings and the tacos. I prefer the appetizer dishes to the main dishes so although the miso cod is their signature dish, it is not one of my favorites.

I would give this place 10 stars ⭐️out of 5. Do a bit of research before you go. The menu is extensive and has a lot to offer. Our server Diana knew exactly what she was doing. We just had a list of items we pulled out of some reviews and she narrowed it down for us. The yellow tail with jalapeño was a great starter. The salmon tataki was our second favorite. The sea bass and the beef toban was out of the world. Do yourself a favor….. just order all the desserts they have. You absolutely don’t want to miss them. We just had the most wonderful meal yesterday and we can’t wait to go back. The food is beyond amazing, spectacular and absolutely delicious. The balance of flavor and texture is so well manicured…. it will leave you awestruck. We were just blown away……

We love sitting at the upstairs sushi bar and getting recos from the sushi chefs. This time we were in more of a veggie mode, so only had a couple seafood dishes - the yellowtail jalepeno (our fave), tiradito w/ fluke (lovely w/ a nice spicy kick), rock shrimp tempura (yum), then the hearts of palm salad and warm mushroom salad. Everything was so delicious and the service is outstanding. Go! One note, we like this location 10x better than the other ones in NY.

We were exhausted after a day of NYC sightseeing and stopped for some refreshments and ended up getting dinner! Sushi was great and they had an excellent selection of sake. It is pricey and the plates are small. But overall great food, drinks, and ambience.

Nobu is my favorite sushi restaurant in the world, and the most expensive, I confess! But its a gastronomic experience you need to have at least once in your life! The octopus was wonderful and very fresh. the hot fish (I do not remember the name in the menu as it was suggestion of the waiter) was splendorous! I do not know how to explain the senses, but it was one of the best fish I have ever eaten. The sushi roll, I ordered salmon with avocado and not much fish came. So, I do not recommend ordering the sushi roll. And on the dessert, order the cappuccino. It tastes delicious, looks like an ice cream with something crunchy in the background.

The restaurant is fantastic, amazing, the interior is beautiful, staff professional. I recommend Sashimi Selection and Wagyu steak. Thank you Nobu Fifty Seven for an unforgettable evening.

Wonderful dinner....certainly lived up to its billing for sure. Service was amazing...attentive, very personable and helpful, we didnt feel rushed, and we really enjoyed talking with them..even on a busy night. The sushi was best weve had in the US, and the tempura was a close to Ten-Ichi tempura in Japan as Ive ever had. It was a delightful evening.

Aiko took care of us and made sure we were able to dine for the evening. Unfortunately it was a last minute request which she did her thing and made it happen. We were at first taken care of by the men at the bar! They mixologist was so friendly and the other guys as well. They made sure our dining experience was wonderful especially since it was our first time dining at Nobu but won’t be my last time. Also I won’t need to describe the atmosphere since the name Nobu already speaks for itself.

I think Nobu speaks for itself, we had an amazing time. But I want to highlight in particular how the staff went above and beyond to adapt the menu and dishes for me as a Vegetarian, so I could share the same experience as my husband who isn’t. My first time trying these unique flavours. Thank you!

I had the expectations of just another expensive ok restaurant. But I was so wrong. The food was amazing the drinks were unique. Like nothing youve tasted before. A true culinary experience with excellent service.

Came here for my birthday as treated by the boyfriend.we started off with (half dozen) oysters with 3 different kind of sauces, the server explained the different kinds but I forget.. regardless, they were very delicious! we then got the spicy tuna and California rolls, the spicy tuna roll was so good we ordered a second plate (and Im not a fish person). he had the lobster tempura and I had the black cod miso, again, not a fish person, but since it is its popular dish, I wanted to try it, and it was so good! the lobster as well.we ended with the donuts, the cinnamon/brown sugar coating were so tasty as well as the vanilla Gelato.the boyfriend had also ordered sake and I had the non-alcoholic lychee-mango drink.. I love lychee and mango and the drink tasted just like each fruit! I dont know how they do it, it was a very refreshing feeling on my tongue.the waitstaff was splendid, they was very enthusiastic and everytime food was brought out, everything was explained as to what we were eating and how it was preparedyes, it was a little on the pricey side but definitely worth it!here are pictures everyone else has posted:

Amazing sushi! Super fresh sushi that blew my mind. We did the lunch prixe fixe menu and it was so delicious and very filling! The only dish I wasn’t crazy about was the sushi taco. I thought the taco shell could use more flavoring so it was a bit bland for me. Overall it is very delicious and I would come back!
