    After a night at a concert, we had about 25 minutes to spare before our next destination. In an area that is not known for its night scene, we were a bit discouraged that we were just going to have to wait around. Just as luck will find us, we crossed paths with Olde City Cheesesteaks & Brew.What a great place, this is my kind of bar. Just a bunch of fellas hanging out enjoying a drink, they had a front door man checking ID making sure everyone is on the up and up, he cracked a joke, made us laugh, great dude.They had a DJ on the side, keeping the music fresh instead of playing the radio on repeat which is nice, it never got loud, so it was a great time to have deep conversations of fate, love and tacos.Aside being a pub with a great selection of drinks, their specialty is cheesesteak. My brother and his girl got a sandwich to go, which was ready in 5 minutes and they loved it. I had the egg roll cheesesteak and they were slamming! Loved them, didnt see any cheesesteak tacos, Ill ask next time.Bartender was polite, fast and cool, enjoyed the short stay, did exactly what we needed, experience was well worth it!

    One of the best Philly bars in NYC used to be shortys . Cheesesteaks were great . Wings are good . The cheddar bites are really good . Everything was good .

    My friend and I are in the city for the weekend and wanted a drink during happy hour before the night. We stopped by this place right next to our hotel and was immediately greeted with great service and a fun atmosphere! The house margarita was so delicious and Svetlana was the best bartender! Will be coming back later

    As I continue the hunt for the best cheesesteak in the city, Olde City is right up there with a fat, delicious, Philly. I stopped by during the World Cup and got the lunch special. Nothing better that some footy with nearly a foot king cheese steak and a beer. Good service, great vibes, and a fun spot to catch a game or get lunch.

    Olde city is delicious!! Beautiful ambiance, great beer selection as well as other cocktails, delicious food, and outstanding customer service!! If you haven’t been yet,You need to run there! You won’t be disappointed. I also love how there is plenty of happy hour specials as well as late night specials. Food and drinks are reasonable priced so it’s definitely a great bang for your buck. Love, love, LOVE!!

    Awesome spot to watch philly sports. We went for a birds game and it was packed, but we were still able to get seated and enjoy one of the many screens. Buffalo cauli bites were awesome, and came with a honey dipping sauce. A pitcher of their ale for 22 is a steal in NYC. My only knock on food is their cheesesteak could use more meat, but as someone from Philly, I thought the meat was well seasoned. If you cant get the real deal (aka be in Philly) Olde City is a very solid option

    I’m always looking for a good cheesesteak in NYC. Finally found a good option at Olde City. Also very much enjoyed their Italian fries.It’s a good place to watch sports and NFL games (they have Sunday Ticket and show all the games). It’s also an Eagles bar and Penn State bar for anyone looking to watch those teams.The service was really good when I was there. I would recommend to anyone in the area. I’ll definitely be back.

    I come here for the Eagles Games. The first game of season was amazing. My bartenders were Jacqueline, Alexis, and Hortenzia. Top notch service. As an Eagles fan, this is such a breath of fresh air. I recommend coming here for an Eagles game. GO BIRDS!!!Big shoutout to Jacqueline!! She’s amazing!!!

    Placed an order,Realized I put it under PICKUP instead of DELIVERY.Sure, my mistake.But there was no chance to contact to cancel the order.Nobody on phone duty - understood, its 2024, but there should be an option online to cxl within 2-3mins.They fixed it immediatly over email - very helpful customer service.Thank you!

    Had to try this spot out. Was fan of Shortys, but this place is even better. Started off with some cocktails. I got the Poison Ivy which was a gin cocktail and a punch drink that tasted like rum punch. I forgot the name, but it was good. We started off with their beer battered onion rings which come with garlic aioli. We also got the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls which are served with queso. Both were a great start to the meal. After that we got into the sandwiches. We had to get the OG cheesesteak with whiz which was delicious. We also got the roast pork special with broccoli rabe and cooper sharp cheese and the Italian hoagie which was loaded with and mortadella, genoa salami, capicola, pepperoni, provolone, lettuce, tomato and onion. We also tried their garlic battered cheddar bites and their Italian fries. Not quite sure why they are called Italian fries, maybe because theyre delicious (and seasoned with Italian seasonings and parmesan cheese). They also have wings with housemade buffalo sauce that we tried as well. Everything was really good and the place had a chill vibe. Throwback songs were playing and they have a bunch of TVs to watch sports if youre into that. Overall, it was a good time and Id go back.

    Omg I been waiting a good chicken cheesesteak so bad in it’s hard to get a good one in New York since they closed shortys philly cheesesteak place .This place I was skeptical but I’m so happy I went for it .So much flavor they are so big can feed like 4 people off one I don’t eat alot in look like I didn’t. even put a dent in it .I got the chicken cheesesteak with the wiz cheese in provolone cheese in broccoliMushrooms, raw onions, and grill onions. My new go to spot for a cheesesteak it’s worth the $20 .

    Full disclosure, I’ve not had many cheesesteaks in my life but was craving a sandwich and this definitely hit the spot. Delicious, quite substantial, and good value. They also have a decent selection of beers on tap to wash it all down with.

    Ordered 2 times today, and both times the driver was given wrong address. I tried calling restaurant many times and they only have automated message telling you to order online and drops the call. No way to reach the restaurant. They should change their ordering website if that is what issues the address to the driver. Both times its been 2 hours waiting for the food. Order was placed on their website. Will never order delivery again from this place.Update:Restaurant was very responsive through email and helped address the wrong address issue with delivery service.

    We were looking for a sports bar that broadcasts NFL games and after some research we came across this place. The photos that had already been posted suggested that it was an Eagles-friendly bar, which I, as an Eagles fan, really liked. The food looked great too and as luck would have it, it was only a 5-minute walk from our hotel. We couldnt make a reservation, so we arrived in good time before the game started, dressed up in Eagles gear, and got a great seat at the bar. The ambience is more than worthy of a cool sports bar. The walls are decorated with various NFL paraphernalia (Eagles and Penn State), but hockey and baseball fans are not left out either. The service was TOP, the atmosphere was great and the food - we didnt have better burgers (and fries) during our whole NYC trip. And unbelievably, at really reasonable prices. We were so impressed that we came back twice more afterwards. Rating: Highly recommended, we will definitely come back here when we get the chance to visit NY again! Keep it up guys!

    Had a blast at the opening Eagles game at this place! The cheesesteaks are on point and they offer many other food and drink options including an extensive beer list and fancy cocktails. There are plenty of TVs to watch the games here.I had the cheesesteak with provolone, fried onions, cherry peppers, and garlic aioli ... with a bloody mary which was also great!

    We came in to try their cheese steak lunch special and take advantage of the happy hour prices as well. We ordered the cheese steak with fries and a Yuengling beer and also two Real Deal Philly Pretzels off the happy hour menu. The food and service were excellent. -1 star because unfortunately they brought out a side of wiz with the pretzels and charged us $1 for it when we didnt specifically order the cheese with our pretzels and just assumed it was included.

    Was craving a cheesesteak with Whiz. These are hard to find in Texas. This place had a great lunch special that included the sandwich, fries or salad and a drink.     The best cheesesteak I have had so far in NY. I like they have spicy option with habanero sauce and spicier cheese. The lunch special for under $20 with sandwich, fries or salad and a beer or soda is pretty hard to beat for the area. And you are not sacrificing like the super cheap pizza slices for example.

    The best cheesesteak ever - better than those in Philly!! Broccoli Rabe steak sandwich was perfection - right balance of rabe to achieve the perfect bite. The onion rings were also the best ever - cooked to the right crisp so the onion ring was cooked through perfectly for every bite. Amazingly friendly staff, clean and perfect bar setting….a Philadelphian here who never had as great a cheesesteak as that offered at this great NOMAD bar and eatery - and all offered at a great price! No question, I am bringing friends here for great food, friendly environment all at a very reasonable cost !!

    This review is for the 8th Ave location.This is THE go to spot for Gooners in NYC! Arsenal Match days have an amazing atmosphere.The food is delicious and consistent. Whether youre getting a cheesesteak, wings, chicken sandwich or one of their great breakfast offerings, this is great bar food. Great beer and drink selection.     I went to Olde City right when it opened and everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. I loved Shorty’s so I was excited to hear that Olde City was coming! The food came out quickly and everything looked delicious. My husband ordered the classic cheese steak and I had the arugula salad with chicken cutlets…even their salad was AMAZING! My favorite part of our meal though were the French fries. I can’t wait to go back!

    I would give this place 10 stars if I could!!! The atmosphere was great, and Berk was awesome all the way around, excellent service, refilled our drinks without us having to ask, and the food came out piping hot!!! The flavor and quality of the food OMGOODNESS seriously heavenly!! You have to try the fries… please try the fries and queso and thank me later! Now for the Philly… wow, just wow!!! The chicken Philly with onions and mushrooms was phenomenal!!! We only have a couple days left in Manhattan and we will definitely be going back!! As the matter of fact I will be eating here every time I visit Manhattan, probably twice 😅. Now go and get you a chicken Philly!!!

    OMG. This place is unmatched. First, the service is amazing. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The atmosphere is incredible especially during the World Series. Music is a vibe too. Best of all, the cheesesteaks are better than Philly (I’m a 52 year old native to Philly). Will be going back many times. The head manager is a very attractive man which doesn’t hurt 😂

    Olde City Cheesesteak Manhattan is a great place to come. We stopped for lunch on a very hot Sunday and cooled off with some great beer and food!!Lovely server and kitchen staff!! My son so loved the hoagie n fries and my husband had the cheesesteak sandwich and wants to come back.     Look no further for the finest cheesesteak out side of Philly. Not only do they import the bred from Philly they have the lingo with and with wiz. The only way to have a cheese in my opinion. The beer and shot specials are phenomenal, as well as their cocktails delivering a complexity if your not in the mood for eats. Highly recommend this place as the staff is also super attentive and friendly. Side note there are like 15 tvs if you ever need to catch a game. One of my favorite spots in flatiron hands down.

    This restaurant is the bees knees. Theres so much to love about the restaurant from the cheesesteaks to variety of sandwiches to the beer to the TVs to the workers. This restaurant really produces some quality cheesesteaks that sure remind me of Philly. Its a great sports bar for sports fans.Evan Stein built a great restaurant, and not only is he great at what he does, but hes a great person. Its an honor to be a regular there, and its great to find a quality cheesesteak in the tri-state area.Oh, and GO COWBOYS!

    Happy that Shortys has reopened as olde city. The cheese steak is nothing like the greasy stringy meat on an amoroso roll that I grew up with. I enjoyed the high quality meat, the good cheese and not the wiz, and the roll had a satisfying crunch.... The Italian fries were addictive. Staff could not have been nicer.

    My fiancé and I were heading back to catch a train when we walked by this man hanging out free samples of a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. Unsurprisingly, we snacked on a couple free samples, fell in love with the menu, and ended up getting a later train because we went inside to eat. The bartender was sweet and knowledgeable and took care of us. The Buffalo cauliflower bites and Brussels sprouts are a must!

    Tiny but good Philadelphia (Philly) themed sports bar. This season, its an official game viewing bar for Penn State college football games. Its also a Flyers, Phillies, Sixers, and Eagles bar.Footprint is small so if you have a group, make a reservation. Cheesesteaks are legit and the $10 Yeungling and Jameson shot is a nice deal during high inflation 🤣 I would be surprised if you would meet your soul mate here, but if you do, theyre without a doubt your soul mate.

    I’m from Philly and THIS CHEESESTEAK is crazy good!! They bring in the rolls from Philly, which makes a huge difference. The cheese is chopped into the steak so you get some in every bite. Good amount of meat. And don’t forget to add fried onions! The beer selection on tap is awesome with 10 beers and, my personal favorite, Delirium (on tap is so hard to find for this beer!). A hidden in plain sight gem in the neighborhood. Don’t miss it. Oh and the lunch special is great!! $16 for a soda and a cheesesteak. I upgraded to $19 version with the beer…don’t tell my boss.

    Stumbled upon this bar when shopping at the other side of the street. The neon sign „cheesesteak“ catched me :) We had the cheesesteaks and the buttered onion rings. Both where great.     Was visiting NYC this past weekend and had a great experience ordering food from Olde City! The Italian fries and crispy chicken spicy honey sandwhich was sooooooo good.
