    PHD great for any New Yorker or tourist. The views are breathtaking and the ambiance is always chill and trendy especially if you’re on the rooftop. Get reservations if you’d like to sit. I’ve been there twice once with the flower tunnel and this time with the lemons both gorgeous and super instagramable.

    Came here for a friend’s 21st birthday. Service by our server Kayla was amazing, she was very kind and kept coming by our table to check up on us. She also let us take our time in the beginning to order, since it was our first time there. She even organized a birthday dessert surprise for my friend. Amazing service!Food was mid. Some of the most average food you’ll ever have. Not terrible, not great.Great ambiance in the place. Cool flower tunnel and bar area.

    Atmosphere was fine, food ok, service not that good. Some cocktails came in a plastic bag instead of a glass (supposed to be cool?)Nice spot in the middle of midtown but just buildings view, not much of a sunset.Still a good idea to visit at least once

    All around good time! Good vibes, music & service was great. Bartender Ana was the best!We had the Dream in Lemons & If You Like Pina Coladas. The lemon wall was cute as well great spot to take photos. Thanks PHD for a good time!

    We ended up hitting PHD rooftop on the hottest night in July at 2am. Music was fantastic and we enjoyed our time there. We loved the photobooth as well. Views were nice but we stayed indoors to cool off in AC. Came back in winters for holiday and Birthday party..was amazing.

    Great rooftop bar in midtown. There are three main areas, one by the entrance and others after crossing a flowery hallway. There is a small area which is another level from the main bar and gives an even better rooftop view. Overall, Views are nice and the place has an amazing vibe with great service.The only downside we felt was limited food options but it’s a great place for a large group to get drinks together.

    Super chic rooftop bar! Fantastic atmosphere with great views & super cool flower tunnel. Great selection of specialty drinks that were really unique and delightful! Service from doormen, elevator assistants and bartenders was so professional & kind. Love this place.

    A mission to get in . To begin with any large bags need to be check in , coats are optional for a $5 fee bags are complimentary. Then small bag check , then take an elevator to the last floor then take stairs up and finally you arrive . The atmosphere is cute for a cute catch a drink and go . We didn’t try the food since all they offered is appetizers. The sitting arrangements makes it hard for a group to be around eachother and socialize. The drinks were good and worth the amount . Each drinks various from $18-$22 . The Venue has 2 seating options. Our waitress was nice and friendly.

    Very lovely rooftop bar! The drinks are so good and beautifully made. I got their famous flower pot cake, which was really good too! Was it worth $28? Probably not haha. It tasted good but it was a bit on the smaller side. The only thing about this place is the set up of all the seatings. I wish the seats were facing another way because you end up reluctantly staring at the other guests from how it’s set up (not a lot of privacy).

    Nice bar in a busy area with a great view of Broadway road, going down to Time Square. The service is young and efficient and the cocktails are very good and not so expensive compared to the NY city standards.On weekends the place is very busy and it is worth booking a place in advance.

    I came here since dear Irving was having an event but I enjoyed my time here. Best time to go is happy hour. 5-7pm. Drinks and food are prettt cheap. After that though the prices pretty much double haha coconut shrimp was good. So were the Mac and cheese balls. Ambience was nice

    Beautiful Instagram worthy rooftop! Great atmosphere with friendly knowledgeable staff. The food is delicious! The drinks are also delicious and beautiful, however a little weak. Overall must try summer rooftop!

    Nice Hotel Centally located in Midtown. Short walk to Louis Vutton ,Nordstroms, Tiffanys and other well known 5 ave. stores. Central Park is close as well. Many great restaurants in the area. The hotel has a nice terrace upstairs for drinks and small bites with a Great view of times square area.

    Beautiful hidden gem in midtown. Reservations is a must. I had a wonderful experience, the staff was so friendly, great service and cleanness. Staff was very tentative. We had the shrimp tacos and nacho chips- both delicious and very tasteful. The venue was nicely decorated and seating arrangements were very comfortable. Highly recommended this rooftop lounge. Music was just at the right volume, where you can actually hear someone talking but could also enjoy the music.I’m a local, and will definitely will be back. I was there on a Friday night. Just one for the books.Thank you for your hospitality. It was so nice 👍

    The space is very well divided and they have two bars! I recommend the glass side of the bar as they have another passage leading to another smaller area with great views! The cocktails were great and the service was quick.

    The view is spectacular. Food is good but expensive. We only had wine so I cannot comment on cocktails. Young crowd. Cute vibe. I would go back for a pre dinner drink or after dinner drink. DJ was good plus you can sit on one side that doesnt have a DJ if you want more talking.

    Really cool rooftop bar in midtown. All of the drinks we tried including the cucumber smash and the mega mule were very good. We ordered and tried every food item on the menu. Everything was delicious, especially the tuna poke chips and the chicken and biscuits.The staff were all very accommodating and attentive. Even though the place was packed, we never waited long to receive food, drinks, or assistance.

    Best customer service experience Ive ever had at a bar as a normal customer. This place has some of the best COVID measures (masks for all employees, the workers call elevators for you, you are escorted to your seat, etc.) However, the overall customer service was delightful. Friendly waitresses and servers, but also a manager who was a gem to speak with and checked in on each table. Make sure to make a reservation. The scenery & atmosphere is gorgeous. Due to Cuomos law, we ordered the fries (tasty). The wild berry is refreshing like a mojito, but with vodka. Our 2nd round of drinks were well-vodkas and they were STRONG -- but when youre paying these prices, you appreciate it.

    A nicely decorated rooftop on 16th floor with views of Times Square. The vibe is amazing and highly recommend to visit during Summer’s. Went during sister’s birthday and the drinks we ordered were okay. Food was good though. Just a bit pricey but that’s a given considering the location. They have a some dance area on the other side of seating too.

    Nice establishment with excellent service and VIP feel. We were greeted at the street level door and walked to the elevator. The hostess sat us and the waitresses took care of our food and drinks. Excellent place to hangout in NYC.

    Dont know about the poor service others mention as I just got my drinks at the bar myself. I only had some imported bottled beer and thought price was reasonable. Wasnt crowded but not empty. This was last week, visiting the smaller space next to the south side patio and thought the area was a bit cozy.Views are definitely the selling points. As the floor is not crazy high, you still have good visibility to the streets. At the same time, taller buildings are all around you, giving you a feeling that you are really a part of Manhattan.

    Okay so AMBIANCE: Super crowded very fast so would definitely recommend getting a reservation and having it for right around when it opens if you want a more chilled out experience. I was there for the daisy tunnel, which was very pretty! Only issue is that tunnel is also what allows waitresses to go from one end of the rooftop to the other so it gets super crowded with people lining up to take pictures and the poor waitstaff trying to get through to do their jobs. Gorgeous views of the city! FOOD: chicken empanadas were delicious, the Mac and cheese balls were great too. Good cocktails. Portion sizes were small, and the food was on the pricier side. You’re paying a premium for the view.

    Amazing views, definitely a place for pics. The constant asking if we want to order more stuff was a little overwhelming. Also the people without reservations just stand around and even behind the benches with the view that you took the time to reserve.     Very nice view, my friend booked a table. The prices are pretty reasonable for it being such an upscale place. I ordered the calamari which was okay. The drinks I ordered were alright, could be a little stronger. I ordered 3 rounds and wasn’t feeling anything- but the skinny margarita was great (not on the menu but they make it). I wasn’t a big fan of the house old fashion (too sweet). They said they didn’t have a lychee martini but could make something very similar and that was good. My friends ordered the sliders, quesadilla and fries- they really enjoyed their food. Seating was comfortable and bathrooms were clean.Service was great. The waitress came around often to check on us.

    First time at the PHD terrace dream hotel. I went for a get-together to celebrate my cousins bday. When I got there, I was surprised when I mentioned that to the host she didnt know. However, she was very nice and suggested I take a look around.While waiting for my cousin, who was running late with bday cup cakes. I had a drink, which was the garden party and it was delicious. The bartender she was very nice and curtious.As my cousin and other family and friends arrived, we had a good time conversing. The crispy fish tacos were bland and needed seasoning. The jerk chicken wings and parmesan fries were excellent.Service can be better in bringing utensils and plates by asking if needed, especially if youre with a group of people.Now, upon leaving, we wound up getting stuck in the elevator because I guess security doesnt know the capacity of people that belong in the elevator.Ten people in one small elevator at a 2000 pounds weight limit. The last person who walked in that elevator when the door closed did it in for us. The worst heat in the world and took like a good twenty minutes and the fire department to come get us out. We went up to get some air, and they gave us all free drinks for the mishap. So we all talked and drank and made connections with some people we never interacted with at the rooftop. So I guess things happened for a reason.

    Upbeat and trendy!! I love the galaxy lights on the ceiling and the beautiful picturesque white flower decor thats placed throughout the lounge. The hostess who took our drink orders was extremely polite with a pleasant smile . My drink for the night was A Weekend in Cabo which was very tasty. I will put PHD Terrace on my list of great NYC rooftop bars that I will be returning to !!

    Pricey, crowded but beautiful view with good drinks. Make sure you reserve a table - they hold more tables than they actually use. Also if you hate people taking selfies, maybe skip. Youll spend a lot of time stepping out of view.As much as I complain, I did have a genuinely good time. The view is amazing.

    Dakota was the best bar tender! 11/10 experience! As far as the tourists go, you should come and experience this rooftop bar. We had an amazing time, cocktails are amazing. His recommendations made our night!

    Nice rooftop bar with hip and modern vibes. The lounge is open Wed - Sun, at the time of year we were there, and the outside roof area is typically closed in winter. We enjoyed a few cocktails before heading to be downstairs in our hotel.

    Booked a table here to surprise my daughter for her birthday (she’s lives in nyc and I live out of state) . The entire staff went above and beyond to help make this surprise next level. Chris (the manager) and his team were so amazing to work with. They made us feel at home from the second we walked in. We had such a great time. The food looked great and tasted even better. I highly recommend this place. I couldn’t possibly say enough great things about.

    Pretty nice rooftop bar on top of the hotel, we stayed at.The bar was mostly busy, but not too crowded, so that we always had the chance to get a drink or two. People were very relaxed, not too formal.Staff was very friendly and took care, when we asked for a table. Also I loved the decoration and the view, when you went outside.Will come here again, when I might be in New York the next time.

    Youre welcomed to this rooftop by an array of well manicured foral arrangements, blooming high above the midtown urban landscape. Even through the concrete, PHD grows above the rest. Jason, who was peachy, arranged a lush cocktail, the Orchard old Fashioned, featuring notes of peach as well. The Shrimp tempura rolls were a small plate, delicious, and flavorful. the Sriracha aioli brought these shrimps to life.

    The first open air room is the nicest but it seems to be closed often. Call first. There are several small plates which are actuall quite good, steak, pizza, shrimp, etc. More of a drink and appetizer place than dinner. BTW, they check ID on EVERYBODY.

    Loved our pre-dinner 😂 you know how rooftop food goes, expensive but not filling. Still...absolutely five star worthy because everything we got was delicious (thai lettuce wraps, beef skewers and fries, the drinks are all good too) and the wait staff were amazing and sweet. We made a reservation and were seated right away. Theres at least two floors you can sit at. Comfy vibe. Its compact and comfy. Not a huge place. Good music, not stuff you usually hear but pop

    I definitely liked the aesthetics of this place. If you like to take some nice pictures, you might like this place. Bartenders and staff were attentive and kind, drinks were creative and tasted good, prices were generally in line with other rooftop bars in the area, etc. I didnt give full 5 stars though since I came here during the day, and I havent experienced the night vibe yet. So without full picture didnt want to give 5 stars.One thing to note is I dont believe they allow shorts and sandals to be worn? They do have certain dress code (Heard it at first floor), so be wary.Overall pretty cool rooftop spot in Manhattan. Id swing by again.

    Their Tuesday Happy hours with free Italian food was great! good pizza and other appetizers. They took lots of pictures of us and told us they would be on the website. We have yet to get the photos even though we messaged them many times, and they have posted us on their social media. Not very good customer service when not in bar. The bar is super cool, has great views and cool drinks!

    What a beautiful space! The highlight of course is the beautiful flower wall thats featured here but also the wonderful sights too. This rooftop has two bars both staffed with amiable and considerate bartenders. The floaters with foods and cheese are also very courteous! The drinks are very well made and the space as a whole is just outstanding. And of course, the PHD signature Dream neon lights are always fun to see.The bathrooms could use a bit of a touch up, especially lighting wise but still worth a visit.

    Our reservation wasn’t immediately honoured and they made us wait almost an hour, but because we were there for a birthday we decided to ignore the hiccough and enjoy the place.The surrounding is charming and as the sun sets and the lights from Time’s Square start shining you get the most stunning view. There are a few cool Instagrammable spots, including the neon sign « It was all a dream » at the entrance and the corridor of daisies.

    Cool rooftop bar with tasty drinks. Very pricey though. We went in the afternoon and did not have to dress up (polo shirt got me in the door) but I would expect at night it’s a strict dress code. Overall the views, drinks and vibes were worth us going up there for a few drinks.

    The decor was beautiful! We got there when they opened at 5 and the staff was welcoming and attentive. The drinks were tasty and strong. It was a bit chilly in some seats near the windows. But I would definitely recommend this spot!

    Gorgeous rooftop, drinks and food are on the expensive side ($18 for a cocktail). Good vibes, seems like most of the crowd come from midtown offices after work. So expect a lot of people in suits. They decorated the terrace with flowers all around (entrance, bar and hallway). They also have a DJ so the place is pretty happy. As for the menu, the fries were excellent. Enjoy your visit.

    It was small place which is not accessible because you have to go up a flight of stairs. There were a couple of parties going on that night so it was crowded. The host was nice and accommodating and found us a seat. The bartender was cool and the drinks were good but expensive. Overall it was a good time, I would probably go back.

    Cool place for a drink in NYC. Its not the best views but the decor is pretty and the atmosphere is nice! One thing that bothered me was that the cocktails were pre-prepared, so instead of putting together the ingredients at the moment and having a fresh drink, they just poured from some jars, which at the price they charge, is ridiculous. If were paying over 20-25$ per drink, at lest have the trouble of doing something...

    Excellent service!Went to this place for a private event and had a great time.The food was delicious, especially the mini burgers.There are 2 terraces, from where you can have a nice view and have a more relaxing conversation.What sets this place appart in my opinion is the service. The waitresses were very kind and helpful.Overal Id be happy to revisit this place, hopefully in the summer to enjoy the terraces a bit longer.

    Great setting for group functions! Rooftop patio could accommodate pretty large groups, or they section it off for smaller groups. We were about 50 ppl and there was at least 1 other group of a similar size at the same time. Fully equipped bar right in the room with us, and apps passed by wait service. Mini lobster rolls were good, and teriyaki steak strips were outstanding!

    Happy hours drinks were decent. Very refreshing. The sitting was not satisfying but I understand it was a busy day. The flower hole way was very short and it was too crowded to pics. The view was good. :) overall it was ok. And I would go again for a drink sometimes. The service was good though. Very friend staff.

    It was great...decor can be better. The drinks are great...The food menu needs to be more eclectic..Add shrimp crostinos..add some churro bites, sweet potato truffle parmesean fries....hit me up for some delicious appetizer ideas and recommendations that will put you in the map as top places to visit.

    This place has a Latin night on Saturdays from 6 pm to 10 pm and it’s so fun! Try to come with a promoter, otherwise it’s hard to get a seat. It’s a small place but it’s really well kept and nice. The music is very good during the Latin nights, I’m not sure about the other times. The only downside is that since it’s free for women but $50 for men, what usually ends up happening is that there’s a lot of old(er) dudes around, which is kind of a weird vibe since it’s mostly 20 year old women that go. I’ve never had an unpleasant experience with any of the men though!

    Great vibe with different terrace spots to hangout. They do multiple checks as you go up though, lots of lines to wait in, as well, so brace for that. Although it’s not uncommon for midtown rooftop bars to do that. The have the lemon tunnel for pictures this summer.

    Visited New York for New Years and decided to get tickets to this venue. The price was well worth it for the premium open bar, small appetizers, and location! The place is beautifully decorated and 3 different rooms with bars so ordering was quick. The dj was also in point! I will most definitely be back.

    This is my favorite rooftop in New York City. Unbeatable views of midtown - east, west, north, south- including Times Square! They have the best cocktails and a really fun Tuesday happy hour party. Would definitely recommend for going on a date or bringing friends in from out of town. Perfect local spot for happy hour! 😍🥰

    Went for my Cousin’s birthday and we had a great time. The decor of the place is really nice. The little flower garden is a really nice touch and great place for photos. The outside have a good view of the city as well. Staff was really nice and friendly. Food and drinks came quick. Everything was great here. Would definitely return again if I’m planning on being in the Manhattan anytime soon.

    Honestly we wanted to sit on the roof but it was raining so it was no problem, we sat on the terrace which was honestly awesome! One thing is the waitress got us the food menu when we asked for it at 11:05 then when we decided what to eat she said the kitchen closed at 11 which is hilarious but a waste of time for sure. The drinks are heavy as in they’re generous on the liquor. There are no speakers on the terrace so just keep that in mind that there won’t be any music!

    Its been a little while since Ive been to PHD but heres a recap of past experiences:Last summer I got to PHD Terrace twice, and the two experiences were different at face value but similar in overall takeaways.The first time It was a hot weeknight, and I spent my time outside by the bar. The place was mobbed and it was difficult to get a drink. Drinks were good. Bartenders werent super friendly but they were swamped so it was understandable. I had a reservation and two managers were quick to open up a table for us; they were incredibly accommodating, I forget their names but both well groomed guys no older than 30. Olenka was our server and she was an absolute delight. She was super sweet, friendly, and genuinely interested in making a positive impact on our experience. We ate the sliders, mac and cheese balls and truffle fries; sliders and fries were the better choices.The second time it was a rainy night, so the entire outdoor portion was closed. A big section inside was reserved for a private party, so the space available was limited. Nonetheless I spent time at the bar and at a table. This time the bar service was attentive and accommodating, whereas the dining service was more forgettable. This time I ate sliders (awesome again), truffle fries (awesome again), and the PHD Catch (I forget the name but its a medley of fried seafood, also really tasty).PHD Terrace is a fun spot during the summer. If you catch it on a good night where its not super hot or super crowded, youll really enjoy it. Drinks arent cheap but theyre different than most drinks youre privy to in NYC. Food is solid upscale bar food and reasonably priced.

    Great Rooftop scene with Three levels in Midtown Manhattan. Went on a Friday there was a line and first floor really crowded with people partying. Mostly Great for 20-30 somethings. However, the two levels upstairs on rooftop is alittle less ppl with tables/chairs overlooking the city. Music was great and had mix of everything. I had a good time there for a few hours on my 40th birthday.

    A must have photo in the flower tunnel is required for every instagrammer who stops by this hip bar located in Midtown Manhattan. In addition, the tunnel (one of many photo ops for the gram) at PHD Terrace in the Dream Hotel Midtown has just transitioned into winter. I saw happened to stop by for a cocktail after work — my favorite time to visit this bar. From phenomenal service to great cocktails and bar bites, you won’t be disappointed. I wasn’t. The wagyu beef sliders are great by the way!

    The PhD Terrace was the right amount of bougie. Plus, the customer service was outstanding. We popped a squat at the rooftop bar, which is winterized btw. It provided the perfect ambiance to stare loving into each others eyes lol. It also gave me the chance to do it for the gram! If youre looking to catch some photos, THIS IS IT! The rooftop level is a great space for a date night or a girls night out. There is also space on the second floor, which is where the DJ is set up. We didnt get a chance to check it out, because I was getting hangry. Just know the music was jumping!
