    Phebe’s is an amazing Irish pub in the East Village. The atmosphere is very nice, and I loved the food. The staff is friendly, and thats because the manager, Chira, is very nice and welcoming too. I give it a 5-star rating.

    My daughter recommended this place for a small birthday dinner. We had a great time. The food and drinks were great. Especially the Lavendar drink. We also had wings, calamari, steak and buffalo chicken sandwich. All very good.The staff is super friendly from the time you come in to the time you leave. We loved our very amazing and patient hostess Renee!!! She had great recommendations on the food, drinks and portions and ended our celebration with Green Tea Shots!!! Thank you Renee!! All in all we had an amazing experience and are sure to come again.

    This bar has changed and kept up over the years, They continue to upgrade the interior and keep it casual, the happy hour cocktail was good and you could taste the liquor. The staff were friendly and attentive. The outside space that ran along the bar is a good spot when it’s warm out, many bars sit back and do nothing that’s not the case here, and it pays off.

    My partner and I came here for a casual dinner. The place is larger than it looks from the outside. The front portion that juts out into the sidewalk is very cutely decorated with brick walls and 2 and 4 seat booths. The back, and larger space is more like a bar area. I had the steak salad which was reasonably priced, largely portioned and delicious. The steak was cooked medium rare, as I requested. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Id definitely come again for the steak salad!

    Walked in at 9.30pm on a Sunday and the kitchen was still open. Its open later than most places in this area . Didnt have drinks, just ordered food . The Salmon with 2 sides ( I got mashed potatoes and kale . ) The Salmon was fried I think because it was a bit crispy on the outside but nice and moist on the inside. The mashed potatoes taste homemade. There was a little side container of hot/sweet pepper jelly for the fish. I liked that , it was a nice touch. Id skip the kale next time and get broccoli or something else. Food was tasty and staff is friendly. This place is big and theyve been here a long time. Probably crowded on Friday or Saturday. Good late night East Village choice. Unpretentious. Get the Hot Toddy on a chilly night!

    Everything else nearby was packed so we gave Phebe’s a try. Sat at the bar and the tender was great. Had an excellent Smores old fashioned. Would definitely go back next time we’re in NYC.

    Love Phebes. Especially Denny, the best bartender ever. Ranch bites are awful. Who in their right mind thought this was a good idea 🤮🤮. Bring back tequenos!!!!!

    We decided to stop over this place before going to theater. They have good selection of beers and reasonably priced. Go Happy Hour!We ordered chicken quesadillas and a veggie burger. Both of them served in time and tested delicious. IPA was good.Margarita could have been served in an authentic margarita glass with salt.

    Came in for a drink which turned into a few more and some great food!The staff are a credit to the bar. Seán and Ciarán were an absolute pleasure and were great chat considering we were also from the other side of the pond.Will absolutely be returning for our next trip to NYC, as well as giving a strong recommendation to our friends and family.

    I went there for the first time and had a great time. I had the steak salad and it was delicious. Their food and drinks are reasonable priced. It was decorated for Christmas, very pretty. The atmosphere was awesome. Everyone was having a good time. I would definitely go back.

    Very cool spot! Just moved here from Cincinnati and it was nice to be able to go to a bengals bar. They had a good beer selection and I can’t wait to go back for the cincy style chili!     Youve probably been in here for a work happy, to meet some friends for a drink if they recently graduated from NYU, or if your little cousin wants to watch a game at a sports bar.I can already hear you chirping me with a you actually went to Phebes to eat? Yeah. I did. We did. This Phebes Blackjack Burger is straight gas and at under $20 with a side of waffle fries whose only rival is Chick-Fil-A, its a PLATE. Its a great burger, and Im tired of pretending like its not.I cant even lie though, I forgot to sub the regular fries for waffle fries this time and that hurt my soul. But it is what it is. Sometimes you have to take an L to refocus and get that tenacity back. Not everyone is Floyd Mayweather.It also gets pretty active when the sun goes down here, a fun place to come and watch a game or play the game. 21 year old me met a summer fling here back in the summer of 2017 when I was visiting NYC for a week. Her phone background was some corny inspirational quote and I asked who hurt you and it landed. We had a beautiful couple days together it was fun af I felt like I was in Grease ahahaha...     My wife and I have been here many times and we love it. It’s a great pub with a lively vibe. However what keeps us coming backIs the best pub kitchen I have experienced. The staff and the manager Gerry (he might spell it with a J) is always friendly and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend it.

    Really delicious steak salad. Very friendly, helpful waitress. Delightfully quiet at lunch time. Slightly pricey for me, but worth it for an occasional nice lunch out with a friend or colleague.Exactly the same experience as above 5/29/24.

    We came in as a group of 10 for drinks around 9pm on a Friday night. It wasnt too crowded but by 11pm the music got very loud and the crowd got younger. Upon leaving just before midnight there was a line to get in. Had a great time during our visit and drinks were good, but was glad to have left when we did as we could no longer hear each other.

    My mother and I stumbled upon this restaurant during our first visit to East Village and we are SO glad we found this place!!! The bartender Johnny is the NICEST, funniest, most personable guy and we had a blast chatting with him! He gave us the best window seat table in the place and by the end of our visit it felt like we had known him for years and we were sad when his shift was over! Funny enough, we were in town for a friends show, and the after-party also happened to be at Phebes--we were not disappointed to return!! We had such a blast here and will definitely be back! Great food, fantastic drinks, excellent service!!!

    Phebes have been in the neighborhood for decades, and they are still going strong.The food is adequate for a pub establishment. However, the music tends to be a little on the loud side, but then so are the customers.Everyone is here to relax unwind and socialize, so its all good.Ive eaten here for lunch and dinner, and the food is fresh and the portions are not small.The staff is always excellent, professional, friendly and service with a smile.In the East Village, try Phebes.

    Amazing food. Mozz sticks and marinara were fantastic. Double cheeseburger was large and delicious, club was as expected and also delicious.     Wonderful spot with great location and service. We went the day before St Patrick’s day and on St Patrick’s day, 2022. The service from Allan and Sam on day one was beyond the best we could have hoped for. Allan took the time to chat with us and shoot the breeze which is always nice to do with folks when visiting from outside the city.On St Patrick’s day, Allan ushered us in, we got sat and treated like regulars. It was such a wholesome night with great people in the bar and a wonderful staff.Moral of the story: be nice to the staff, security, and manager, and they will treat you right.     Phebes is a traditional American tavern in the east village. The decor is cozy and reflect perfectly the traditional tavern atmosphere reinterpreted in contemporary style. The counter and the tables are old-fashioned but well-finished. There are several historical photos on the walls but even 4 huge televisions that remind us that we are in the early 21th.The menu shows a large variety of American dishes and drinks. The number and the quality of the cocktails and beers on tap are impressive.Personally I ordered the beef stew with mashed potatoes, the plating was well done and the taste was great.The staff is kind and professional. The waitress that served me was very experienced and gave me really good advice for the beer choice.The quality/price ratio is really good.In conclusion I can say that my lunch at Phebe’s was a satisfying experience and I’m sure that I will come back.

    Went here after we couldnt find anything else and after some complications Im happy to say that we had a good experience. The waitress (Stephani was great, thank you) and manager were great, how customer service should be everywhere, were very eager to please the customers. I didnt like the quesadillas and instead of arguing about it like you usually would at a restaurant they automatically offered me food on the house and the chicken tenders were great. Great experience!

    Loved the super strong and spicy Bloody Marys, and chicken wings were incredibly good too. The perfect place to camp out and pig out on a public holiday, when most other venues were closed. We were even given an free extra round of Bloody Marys on the house.

    Went here for NYE, and they didnt have any cover which was super hype. The place was bumping then and they had balloons everywhere which was cool.     Nice spacious bar if you want to grab a drink after work. They have great air conditioning there, which I came to appreciate only after the weather outside hit 105 degrees and other bars did not hold up to my expectations. This bar is good for watching sports and catching up with friends. Its also conveniently located in the Village and attracts young people.

    Low key bar with booths. The menu reads like a TGIFridays or some other chain restaurant, but dont be fooled, the food is great. While I wish the fried goat cheese medallions on my beet salad were more crouton and less chicken nugget, the combination of the beets, greens, pear vinaigrette and crispy/smooth cheese made for an amazing bite. The waffle fries taste like curly fries. I dont like fried mozzarella sticks, but their little ball version were so good, even I had to have a couple.

    I came here for a Bumble date on a Friday night. I talked to the female bartender (Emily?) as I waited cause I was kind of nervous and ordered a drink before he got there. He showed up a little late, and was totally drunk... it was kind of comical. I went the bathroom, and when I came back, my date said he needed to go. While I was waiting for him, the bartender came over and said just so you know, he had a shot of tequila while you were in the bathroom... when he came back it was obvious that he had gone from pretty drunk to kind of really drunk. I told him he should go home as he apologized for his drunken state. I closed my tab and left after him, and thanked the bartender for telling me. 5 stars for her!

    Great food. We ordered the phebes burger, salmon sandwich, and steak salad as mains and the spinach artichoke and quesadilla starters. Absolutely delicious.Service was great, too. Very busy during pride weekend and still got our food in a reasonable time.Highly recommend!

    I like Phebes for their happy hour (discounted drinks, 1/2 appetizers), and their weeknight food specials (.10 wings and 2-for-1 burgers). The bar gets way too crowded with 20-somethings on the weekends for my taste. Waitstaff is nice and attractive. Ive gotten several buybacks there, which is a nice plus.

Ive been searching for the perfect medium rare for a long time, but this steak was one of the closest times Ive come to it. They serve the steak with a small beef gravy dip, which took the otherwise underwhelming flavor of the simply and effectively seasoned meat to the next level. The broccoli paired with the steak & gravy wonderfully. The buffalo cauliflower was good, especially the well charred bites, which contrasted well with the limp sogginess of the rest. If I ever find myself in the bowery again, Ill make my way back to phebes.
