    We ate here on a Friday night in Dec, had reservations at 6:30. after we visited the Empire State Bldg. We got there 30 min earlier at 6 pm & they seated us. I appreciated that it was nice little place with some ambiance & a menu for adults plus children. We had good service and everyone liked their food, we ordered burgers, steak salad & Chicken tenders. It was sort of hard to find it we asked Macy’s staff for help, take elevator to the bottom floor and walk through the huge section of men’s boxers & underwear and it’s around the corner up a few stairs.

    Really enjoyed the food! The burger sliders and sweet potato fries were amazing. Typically, I don’t enjoy buffalo wings, but the ones from here were pretty good. I wouldn’t recommend getting any of their beverages besides water or soda. The peach iced lemonade I got had no taste at all.

    The best food I’ve have had in a while. The chef was amazing at making the seafood meal. Tasty and melt in your mouth. Stephanie the waiter who served me was amazing, knowledgeable about the menu and exceptional customer service and table etiquette. Highly recommend this place. One happy belly who will be back.

    The server was our favorite part of this entire dinging experience. It was hard to find and figure out the right way to get to them if you haven’t been to the place before. But the food was good!

    Excellent service, clean atmosphere..I had turkey club which was very good and I would recommend. My friend had a cheeseburger which was just okay and I wouldnt recommend it was a small pre made frozen bugwr - could of and should of been much better.

    My partner and I went here for dinner and we both got the Barbecue chicken flat bread and Rollies loaded burger for restaurant week! Recommendation - remove the pineapples from the flat bread!!! It adds a zesty flavor and not the kind we enjoy ✋I ordered the raspberry iced tea while he got the Pink lemonade. Both were SO YUMMY SHEEEEEESH.This was our first time here and the waiters were SO. NICE. Loved the service!

    Restaurant located inside Macys (one below level). I went on Saturday, around 1.30pm, and I found a very small queue (just two couples waiting before us). I dont know if it is possible to make a reservation, but it would be a good idea to check. I went because it was a rainy day, and after shopping in Macys, it was the best place to stay and have lunch (in the meantime the rain stops a little). We got a place very quickly, but because we chose the bar, however, other people who wanted a table had to wait more (very strange because I saw several empty tables). As a tip, if you order a club sandwich, try one for two people, because the portion is quite big. Being in the bar, the attention was good and kind.

    This place exceeded our expectations of a restaurant inside a department store... At the lower level, no less... Amazing deal at $32 for an appetizer and an entree... Salmon, chicken, burger are the options... Fresh guac or onion soup are options for appetizers... Relaxing laid back atmosphere... Away from the hustle and bustle of the store... Friendly and efficient staff... Yummy food.

    A great place to grab a couple of beers whilst the ladies shopped. The barman, Hector, is a great guy and is a font of local knowledge. Hes definitely worth talking to if you are looking for ideas of where to eat and drink in NYC. The IPA was very drinkable.

    Hector was our Bartender ! Hector provided great service and that was a pleasant surprise! It’s so challenging to get superior service or someone who enjoys their job! The chicken wings were great thanks to the cook. It’s also challenging to find properly cooked and seasoned food!My friend and I were at Rowland Bar and grill for 4 hours while our wives enjoyed Macy’s department store. Oh by the way, it was the best way to wait for our wives as well as walk around New York! Great Afternoon!

    This place was great! Love the atmosphere, very intimate and clean. Staff was friendly, food was delicious, service was awesome. Prices are reasonable. Bonus - happy hour on weekends too! Did not get 5 stars because bathroom is in another location outside of restaurant. After walking in the Javitz center all day, then walking to Rowlands, I was not in the mood to walk any further to the restroom.

    Nice little bar in the Macys basement. Great place to take a break from the shopping or wait while others shop. Service is excellent.

    So good!! From a great Long Island to an incredible lunch. We had the Caesar salad & cheese steak. Everything from the service to the decor was fantastic!! Our waiter Steven was the best!! Ask to sit in his section!!!

    This is one fabulous place to find unique gifts for that hard to find gift person.The Cellar has lots of fun kitchen items as well as demos while you are there.Having an eatery down there too - is quite tempting. Great resting spot and treats

    The Cellar at Macys is lots of fun. Lots of shops with really good unique food items. It is fun just to visit. And you could always stop upstair for a little shopping spree. Reasonably priced

    Did restaurant week menu. I would never think that a restaurant inside a Macys would be my cup of tea. But it was a breath of fresh air from the midtown Madness.     Perfect place to stop for a short rest en between all the shopping. Great place to also park your significant other if they don’t enjoy shopping 😂Beers are cold. Food is made to order. Can’t ask for more from a place in the basement of a Macys.

    This poor mom on a table near me was struggling with her kids. She asked the waiter to get chicken fingers and fries quickly and they did!!. All the while taking care of the rest of us. Food is really good. Big portions. And its Xmas time, not an easy season. Would definitely come back here again even if I wasnt shopping

    Very good food! Prices are about what is expected from this type of establishment. Staff was very on point for me. My drink was refilled quickly by every person working front of house. Big points for that. Waiter even helped us with directions on the way out.

    Best chicken and waffles thatll make you want to lick the plate. Our waiter was great and offered great feedback and suggestions. He recommended the salmon dish and it was incredible as they didnt overcook it as requested and the rice was just a great. Their prices are more than fair for a great tasting fresh meal...especially when you can average $10+ for fast-food.. Cannot wait to return..almost wish they were in FL.

    Love to stop at Rowlands for a meal/drink before NY Knick Games. Everything on the menu is great and the staff/management is always super friendly. The burgers are the best in the city and their bar selection is great ( especially the bourbon choices)! Highly recommended

    Food is good, but very expensive. Well I was just visiting NYC and I found everything to be extremely expensive. Two kids and two adults only ordering appetizers and drinks ended up being a little over a hundred dollars... Ouch!
