The staff was amazing and the food was delicious. They did warn us that the pasta dishes were smaller servings than the rest of the entree dishes, but it was even smaller than I had pictured. The staff was very knowledgeable, and friendly. I would definitely visit again but Id probably order three pasta dishes to feed two people. The appetizer and dessert we had were delectable as well. -

Made a reservation for an anniversary and it was very nice. Food was delicious, perfect portions, and served in a timely manor. Our waiter was one of the best in any restaurant. Very kind and welcoming as well as enthusiastic. The dessert came with a message because of our anniversary and it was very pleasant overall. Lighting and the decor was very cozy too. All of that said food was a tad too expensive for portion size and because there were so many people it was slightly difficulty to hear another person in a conversation. -

Came here for my birthday with a reservation through CapitalOne Dining Club, which provides some benefits. We were seated immediately at a cozy table for 2. The service was excellent. Our server was prompt and friendly, and gave us a free appetizer AND and extra little pour of wine to my glass, a very nice surprise! I think this is what comes with the Dining Club reservation. They are known for their handmade pasta so we got the spaghetti marinara and the bone marrow tortellini. The latter was special with good flavor and something crispy sprinkled on it, delicious.Overall a nice meal and enjoyed the perks with the Dining Club, albeit pricey. -

It is a nice Italian restaurant with a very cozy and upscale atmosphere. The food was okay, not bad but not spectacular either. The restaurant has a pretty big lounge area, so it is good to stop by just for a drink. -

Came here for a birthday dinner with a group of ten was was a great experience. Started off with an amazing bread basket with focaccia and what seemed to be a ham and cheese roll. I tried my best to not get filled up with bread. The octopus appetizer was so good, with the meat so tender and flavorful. Had a variety of entrees including cod, duck, multiple pastas. Everything was delicious with high quality ingredients. -

This place offers an exceptional dining experience with its modern Italian cuisine. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it perfect for both intimate dinners and group gatherings. The signature Spaghetti with tomato and basil is a must-try, bursting with rich, fresh flavors. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring that every visit is memorable. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Italian food in a sophisticated setting. -

Visited for a close friend’s birthday dinner and loved the ambiance. Drinks were nice, food was good. My favorite was the scallops ! And the Valrhona chocolate cake YUM! It’s Valrhona chocolate what more could you expect :D -

Absolute chance encounter on our first evening in New York. One of those expensive but truly amazing dining experiences. The food, drinks, staff and service were truly off the scale. If you can afford it on your budget, well worth splashing out. -
Review 9 (2024-06-02 - Rating: 5)
The service at Scarpetta was outstanding and incredibly attentive. The vibe was also perfect for a date night, or an upscale dinner with family or friends. I would highly the ravioli entree and espresso dessert. The only thing to keep in mind is that the dishes are small for the price — we ended up ordering one extra dish at the end. -
Review 10 (2024-04-10 - Rating: 4)
Scarpetta is a solid choice.Great food while not being overly pricey for what it is.Hard not to fill up on the provided bread as their salami bread and spreads are excellent. The shrimp carpaccio and squid ink pasta were my two favorites. The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance and interesting decor, although it does get quite busy during peak hours, especially near the bar area. This can make the place feel a bit crowded, but its not too much of an issue if you don’t mind the hustle and bustle.Have been here several times, one of them we ended up waiting over 45 minutes for a reservation that we already had. The manager eventually dealt with it properly but it should not have happened in the first place. However, all other visits have been smooth so I will mark it up as a fluke.Overall, Scarpetta is worth a visit if youre in the mood for upscale Italian cuisine that’s solid value for money. Just be aware that it might be best to avoid peak times if you’re looking for a quieter dining experience. -
Review 11 (2024-04-28 - Rating: 5)
The weekend brunch is amazing: the menu is shorter comparing to normal dining, but all the dishes we tried were very impressive.Starting with the homemade bread/ scone with olive oil, jam, and cream cheese. I started off with jam and was an amazed by it. What I didn’t know was that the olive oil is even more impressive! So fresh, gentle, and with a decent scent given they infused fruits in it.The asparagus is very nicely baked. And the pasta was such a surprise too - rabbit ragu with slices of peaches. It’s something you wouldn’t normally use in your daily cooking, but rabbit, peaches and pasta go super well together. We were so impressed that we decided to try their affogato last minute. The coffee is legit, and the bitterness and sourness balanced so well with the ice cream.Love all the balanced taste and the attention to details from Scarpetta. Will definitely come back again! -
Review 12 (2024-03-28 - Rating: 5)
This is an Italian based restaurant, and the food is good. The restaurant has a vibe, and was pretty packed for a Wednesday evening. I’d go back and try something different on the menu.We had a few appetizers, of which I would probably keep ordering the octopus. My team ordered all the desserts; the chocolate cake was rich, the cheesecake was my favorite. -
Review 13 (2024-05-12 - Rating: 4)
Overall a solid meal but to be quite candid, I am not sure it led up to some of the hype. Generally all the entrees were good and our waiter (Connor McGregor looking chap) was outstanding on all fronts. Might have been what we ordered or might have been an off night, just not sure it lives up to what is a long held legacy. -
Review 14 (2024-12-22 - Rating: 4)
The vibes were moody and service was amazing. I think the food portions were a bit disappointing. -
Review 15 (2023-12-19 - Rating: 5)
Everything about this place screams luxury! The food, ambience, service- the staff is very down to earth! They treated us very well, we will be back again. The food was delicious and food quality shows! The chocolate cake and burrata were out of world! We had lamb pappardelle was cooked to perfection. We went there a bit early than our reservation time and they took us happily in! The place was packed. The staff asked us if we had any food restrictions even to serve the complementaries. -
Review 16 (2024-12-07 - Rating: 5)
Great place! We were seated 30 minutes late BUT they were so apologetic and comped us with drinks and desert. Our server was beyond amazing . The agnolotti with marrow and spare rib was so good. The chocolate cake was the perfect ending. Would definitely recommend this place and we would go back for sure! -
Review 17 (2024-03-27 - Rating: 4)
Super delicious but very expensive! Came here on a casual business dinner and it was great but truthfully I wouldn’t come back and pay out of my own pocket lol. The atmosphere is definitely busier than I expected it to be, even on a weekday night. I wouldn’t come here if you’re looking to converse, but it’s lively in a nice way! The food was great but I think you can find other Italian restaurants just as good that are a bit less expensive. The octopus was burrata were my two favs. The pasta pictured was simple but tasty. -
Review 18 (2023-11-28 - Rating: 4)
Very popular crowded restaurant during peak hours. There’s a bar and dining area, but very congested and loud. Reservation is must for peak time dining.I have had mixed experience dining here. Even though we arrived bang on at our reserved time, we had to wait 20-25 minutes to get our table. Complementary bread was nice, menu has variety of appetizers and entrees. We ordered lots of the appetizers. Scallops, octopus were really good, but short ribs and burrata were average. For entree I had far more expectation from the waygu streak. Even though it was tender and moist, I felt it lacked in seasoning. We liked the chocolate cake dessert. The table service is excellent. But the kitchen takes their sweet time to prepare the dishes. So, expect to spend a decent time while dining here. -
Review 19 (2023-05-16 - Rating: 5)
Warmly greeted by wait staff and manager. Cozy outdoor seating. Food was fine and nicely presented. Pasta’s texture were perfect though the sauce was a bit too salty. Highly recommend the scallops and sashimi for appetizers. -
Review 20 (2022-10-16 - Rating: 5)
There is always a crowd here and I heard a lot of things about this place so was worried that there was some hype. However, I was impressed by the quality of the food.We started with cocktails that were definitely on the sweeter side. The bread they give is really filling in itself. The portions are small so we did ask for another bread basket which they gladly refilled. Service was attentive considering the restaurant is so big. I didn’t care too much for the scallops or beet salad but the short rib agnolotti is a must get. So delicious. The cod was not bad as a lighter dish. I would definitely come back to try the other plates. -
Review 21 (2024-09-18 - Rating: 5)
Excellent food, Ambienece, and service. Reasonably priced for NY standards. Spaghetti was fresh and amazing. -
Review 22 (2023-08-06 - Rating: 5)
A lively and warm restaurant with some very unique plates. The octopus, corn soup, short rib/bone marrow pasta, and duck breast are highlights. The staff are very knowledgeable and welcoming. It is on the louder side, but its fine for 2 people. There are some great wines available by the glass, and the spirit free cocktails are tasty too. Comfortable seating. -
Review 23 (2023-12-01 - Rating: 5)
Family took us here and the food was amazing!! Everything flavor wise was on point I just wish portions were slightly bigger(not by much. The staff was friendly and on point always taking care of things!Thank you everyone back of house and front for the impeccable, flavorful, and relaxing evening.Drinks were on point as well 👍 -

One of the best meals we had in NYC ever. Great service and very nice dining area. -
Review 26 (2022-05-05 - Rating: 5)
Fantastic restaurant! Thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor seating which was beautifully put together. It didn’t feel too close to the street. The bread was fresh and warm. The cauliflower was really tasty and the roasted carrots were full of flavour. My fellow diners also enjoyed their pasta dishes and mentioned that they were cooked perfectly. Service staff were friendly, conversational and efficient. Look forward to visiting again. -
Review 27 (2024-04-28 - Rating: 5)
First time to dine here and it did not disappoint. My husband already dined here before and he told me that they have the BEST Spaghetti and I must say their Spaghetti is Life Changing! Not only that, the service was impeccable, everyone was very polite, alert and friendly. Definitely coming back. -
Review 28 (2024-01-09 - Rating: 5)
Been here a few times and they always deliver. Their flavours are simple yet sophisticated and the service and atmosphere is divine. Would recommend for a quiet date night or to catch up with friends. I had the duck ravioli it was to die for, my friends got different fish and they were perfectly cooked. -
Review 29 (2023-06-15 - Rating: 4)
Authentic NYC experience, chic and bustling place with good Italian food. I think price is a bit higher, but its Fifth Ave I guess. The pasta was good but I think I had better Else where and the waygu steak was not as tender as it should given its waygu. But I still a very nice establishment and I do recommend you to check it out. -
Review 30 (2024-12-23 - Rating: 5)
Excellent service and atmosphere!! The wait staff was next level attentive! -
Review 31 (2023-08-15 - Rating: 5)
Absolutely loved our meal here! Me and two friends shared two appetizers, two pasta dishes, a chicken entrée, a fish entrée, and two desserts and Id say with the portion sizes that was an appropriate amount of food for three people. Loved every dish - the crisp on the roasted chicken was excellent, the cacio e pepe ravioli was so flavorful! The Valrhona chocolate cake paired with salted caramel gelato was divine! There was so much else I wanted to try so will definitely return here at some other juncture. Excellent service. My only complaint was that our table was a little small for three people but thats New York, I think... -
Review 32 (2024-01-25 - Rating: 5)
I dined at Scarpetta for the first time this week and it was one of the most delicious meals Ive had in the city. The restaurant has a beautiful decor; very modern and chic. We were surprised to find how busy it was for a Monday night, but after trying the food and the exceptional service we experienced, we could see why.Everything we tried was absolutely delicious and very well-presented:- Yellowtail- Tuna Susci- Creamy Polenta- Braised Short Rib- Burrata- Spaghetti- Ravioli Cacio e Pepe- Valrhona Chocolate CakeThe Spaghetti with tomato and basil is one of their signature dishes and was lovely. Quite possibly even better was the Ravioli Cacio e Pepe with charred leek, brown butter and sage, with all of the flavors just melting in your mouth. The Creamy Polenta also came highly recommended and is a must-try.The staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive. They were knowledgeable about the menu and we enjoyed every dish. It’s a great spot to dine with a group, since it’s quite lively and you can also try various dishes that way. Can’t wait to come back again! -
Review 33 (2023-01-06 - Rating: 5)
This is truly a dining experience. First, everyone who works here is attractive. I believe this may be a requirement. The ambiance was just as attractive as the staff. The service is exceptional. They went above and beyond, always with a smile on their faces. Now the food. We didnt eat a lot thinking we would order as we go, but we were full after the primi and paste dishes. We had the Polenta, which felt like a warm Sunday meal. We ordered the spaghetti and lobster tagliolini Nero. They are such simply prepared dishes but packed a punch of flavor. The light spaghetti sauce got more creamy and delicious as we got to the end. The wine, the dessert, oh my. The next time I have any occasion, I will be returning. -
Review 34 (2024-01-13 - Rating: 5)
This might be my Italian favorite spot so far in New York, not only for its atmosphere so unique, but also because of the quality of the food itself. My Italian friends and I were there for dinner, and we were welcomed by an amazing staff. Ravioli Cacio e Pepe were great, but the best part of the night was the dessert, especially the lemon and white chocolate semifreddo. I highly recommend this restaurant, and will definitely be returning. -
Review 35 (2023-06-04 - Rating: 5)
My mother and I are there during a mother daughter trip to New York, and we were not disappointed. We started with a bottle of wine that was recommended to us, which was very good, full-bodied, smooth and dry, which was exactly what we had requested. My mother ordered the seared scallops as an appetizer, and then the spaghetti as a main, and both were spectacular.I had the polenta with mushroom fricassee and then the angolotti, which were also incredible. I had to restrain myself from licking the plates. We finished off the night with blueberry tart and one of the managers that had stopped to chat with us, surprised us with chocolate cake as well. The blueberry tart was delicious, and the lemon sorbet that came with it was nice and tart.Normally, I do not like chocolate, but their cake was amazing. Moist, and not too sweet. But was really surprising, was how tasty the toffee sauce around the cake was. After looking at the menu after we left I realized it was a banana toffee sauce. I may dislike chocolate, but I hate bananas more than any other food, but this was delicious.Overall, we had an incredible time, and the good was even better. Would definitely go back there again, the next time Im in New York. -

Nice place, good food, friendly staff. Although not sure why it’s so hard to get a reservation here. While it’s a great spot, it’s no different from dozens of other great spots in the city. -

Review 39 (2022-08-25 - Rating: 4)
Made the reservations in advance for my boyfriend’s birthday, specifically asking for a nice table. When we got there, they tried to seat us in the tiniest table in between two big groups of people. I asked them kindly to change our spots, they weren’t too happy to accommodate but eventually, they sat us at a corner table. They first came with drinks and a basket of assorted bread; it was very good. Our server was nice, and she explained the menu to us, so we knew what we were getting. We started off with the Seared Scallops and Creamy Polenta. They both were very good, but the polenta came out very cold. I told the server, she apologized and quickly cleared up the table. We then ordered the Spaghetti & Short Rib & Bone Marrow Agnolotti both pastas were excellent, we definitely could have ordered another round. Took them a while to ask if we wanted another drink, but all good.It wasn’t until the end, when we ordered the Akaushi Wagyu Strip when we decided we had enough. We were still hungry so when the meat came out, we were happy, but one bite and disappointing. The wagyu was tough couldn’t even cut properly with a sharp knife and tasted like iron. I think the server saw my face and came right over. I explained to her the issue, and she quickly removed from table & offered something else in place. We kindly declined and we just wanted the check. Not long after the manager (Armando) came over with an apology about the entire dinner experience. He was very kind, he offered us something else for dinner, desserts and drinks on him. I will say if not for him, we would have left extremely disappointed. He was very professional, brought us out 3 different desserts & glass of very good champagne. He wanted to make sure we come back to have a proper Scarpetta dinner experience, so he gave us his card with personal email on it and told us to come back anytime on him.All in all, the start of the dinner wasn’t the greatest but the manager trying to make things right is what gave this the rating. If it weren’t for him, I would of never came back, but because of his hospitality we shall be back to give it another try. -

Very classy Italian restaurant. The service was on point. We had a couple of infants on the table and they were very accommodating with them. The short rib pasta was my favourite. Also for appetizers loved the polenta! I would recommend the pannacotta. The wine list is amazing as well. -
Review 41 (2024-03-28 - Rating: 5)
Great. Just really great.Followed the waiter’s recommendations and got the polenta starter which was amazing. Then the short rib & bone marrow agnolotti which looked a little small when it arrived, but rest assured it was filling and the portion size was perfect. -
Review 42 (2024-12-04 - Rating: 5)
We had an amazing experience with our private dinner. The space was beautiful and the food was some of the best we had during our stay in NYC. Mazi was wonderful to work with in planning the event, and Luis, Alejandra, Willie, and Jose provided incredible service on the day of the event. -
Review 43 (2020-08-18 - Rating: 4)
Really great food. The crab and lobster pasta were delicious. The service was not amazing, we felt rushed in ordering and were not told that one of the desserts comes in twos so we ordered two of them, so we can have one each but ended up with four, which the waiter should have told us about. We also ordered the espresso budino, which was delicious. -
Review 44 (2024-08-24 - Rating: 5)
A beautiful well-decorated restaurant that is warm and inviting. I came here for brunch and their brunch was simplistic, yet super flavorful. Their cocktail menu was robust and cuts to the chase. Its a great place to bring a group of friends to catch up in an intimate setting. -

Review 46 (2021-02-23 - Rating: 5)
What an amazing experience!!This place was super attentive and fast with the service. I honestly had the most amazing time. I will be bringing my mother and other family here for many more dinners. Staff was remarkably kind and just over all amazing. This is how outdoor dining is meant to be. On one of the coldest night we didn’t even feel the cold. The indoor was warm. My feet got cold but that was because I was wearing expensive shoes not meant for the temps hahaha. Love love love this experience. 10/5 stars!! -
Review 47 (2024-07-27 - Rating: 5)
Exceptional dining experience. A well decorated restaurant, dimly lit with an inviting warm charm. Our service was impeccable. We all found the menu to be an exciting offering of italain dishes with a modern spin. Each of our dishes was beautifully plated and packed with delicious flavors. The bread selection was some of the best breads weve ever enjoyed. A great restaurant to celebrate any occasion, large or small. A great date night restaurant also. -

We love Scarpetta! We used to dine at the Meatpacking location years ago, but hadnt been to the Madison location since it opened, and we are glad we did. We love the space, it is spacious yet intimate with a large bar area (we love to eat at bars instead of tables). The people, as always, are super friendly and nice and the food, as always, is great. We enjoyed the spaghetti - I know it sounds almost too basic but it is done to perfection! We also really liked the polenta with mushrooms and (I guess we were in a funghi mood) the mushrooms with tomato glaze & parmigiano. Especially now that we stay close by when we visit nyc we will come back evertime. Go! -

Update 03/15: I love their handmade pastas and the sophisticated upscale locale with a cool vibe. This restaurant is a must-go every time I visit New York City. The short rib & bone marrow agnolotti was phenomenal. The lobster tagliolini nero was also a hit!11/2021 - Unbelievable dinner at Scarpetta! The food was delicious; from the bread at the beginning of our meal to the main courses & desserts; everything was delicious! I really enjoyed the bread, they sent out a good variety for the table. The steak was perfectly cooked & the chicken had crispy skin & was flavourful. The bone marrow pasta was also very delicious. The service was quick, the servers were attentive and the private dining room was the perfect space for us. I recommend dining at Scarpetta. -

Review 54 (2022-09-06 - Rating: 4)
Absolutely delicious lunch from appetizers to dessert. Mozz appetizer was good but all are pretty much the same. Bass was delicate, fresh and the right size for an appetizer. Pasta entrees were served with a beautiful presentation and definitely a must order. The expresso budino was full of flavor but rich, can definitely share. Market strawberries sound like a nothing but the basil granita took them over the top, so fresh and delicious. -
Review 55 (2022-06-09 - Rating: 5)
Very delicious pasta, THE BEST agnolotti i’ve ever tried. With short rib and bone marrow agnolotti. Spaghetti with tomato sauce and basil was also splendid. The appetizers bread with red aubergine sauce and mascarpone cheese was amazing! The dessert we had espresso budino and latte. The Budino was nice and creamy. Love it! Best Italiano restaurante in New York City so far. -

Review 59 (2021-05-20 - Rating: 4)
The food here was out of this world!! Worth every cent we paid for it. Would go back for sure. The wine was perfectly paired with everything we ordered. Unfortunately we had to order everything at once instead of taking our time. The waitress was incredibly nice and we loved her but she seemed a bit overwhelmed with the amount of tables she was given. Not to mention we had to sit in a tiny booth next to a couple who were being incrediblely inappropriate with each other in that tint space. The overall experience and atmosphere deserves that 5 but those few things including the service time forced me to make it the 4. I would still recommend people going to check it out though. -
Review 60 (2024-08-25 - Rating: 5)
Can’t go wrong with any of the pastas. We tried the caviatelli, spaghetti, and ravioli. All three were excellent: fresh, flavorful and divine. The chicken dish with the assortment of fried onion dough pieces and garlic was also very good. -

Went for a quick breakfast so might not be in the best position to make a review of the restaurant itself. That being said, the service was friendly, kind, and attentive. The food was decent, a unique breakfast, but was fairly enjoyable. -
Review 62 (2023-11-24 - Rating: 5)
Wow, this place lived up to the great reviews! Came for lunch on a Saturday and it was a good low key vibe. Great bar and delicious cocktails and mocktails. Every single thing we ate was tremendous! We had the bread basket, salmon roll, short rib pasta, branzino and panecotta. Service was top notch—Indira was our server and she was amazing, she was attentive yet not intrusive and made great recommendations for the food, and ensured that we enjoyed the culinary experience by recommending how we can pair the food and layer it with the supplements. 10/10 highly recommend! -

Scarpetta New York City is beyond amazing. Mary Briglio Bossio’s 65th birthday on January 1st! Lovely staff! We never got the name of this wonderful staff member and would love to know his name to thank him. -
Review 66 (2023-08-12 - Rating: 4)
Great pasta and meat at reasonable prices. I went there after work and was pleasantly surprised by the restaurants atmosphere and the quality of the food, at affordable prices (for New York). Nice place for a business or even romantic date, though when its crowded it gets loud. -
Review 67 (2021-10-17 - Rating: 4)
Came here for dinner with a large group. Interestingly tip was not automatically added at the end. Everyone in the group shared a couple of appetizers and we each had our own pasta. Appetizers include beet salad, burrata, cauliflower and mushrooms. All were excellent but I particularly enjoyed the mushrooms. All pasta was cooked all Dente. Cascio a Pepe ravioli was my favorite pasta. Ordered a chocolate cake for dessert but I could’ve done without. Restaurant is loud and busy. -

Absolutely fantastic! Yvonne was our server, and she was so attentive and pleasant, she really made our dining experience special. My friend has mentioned being vegetarian at the start of our meal, so when Yvonne saw us trade appetizers halfway through she was immediately at the table letting us know that one of them had chicken stock in it, saving my friend from severe distress. The level of service here is on a level with more than 3 dollar signs next to the name of the restaurant. The other wait staff were also wonderful; water glasses always filled and cutlery replaced promptly with each course. Delicious food and great atmosphere, will definitely be back. -

Fantastic Italian restaurant in the Flatiron district. Wonderful service, amazing food, especially the pasta dishes. Bustling but not too noisy. Great chefs who make beautiful food. Will go again. -

Fantastic food, amazing service and a trendy crowd. It’s a great menu for sharing - three of us ordered four appetizers, four pastas, a steak and dessert. Looking forward to the next meal.Try not to reserve a table for three in the main dining area. They use the same size table for two and then place you at the end of the banquet seats for the third seat. It’s a crazy tight squeeze, even for three smaller individuals. And there is no way multiple dishes + drinks will fit. They were super nice and moved us to a high top in the bar area. -

Dining at Scarpetta was a really great experience! The atmosphere inside the restaurant was lovely. Staffs were helpful but the main server forgot about our drinks and the food arrived first which was a little bit disappointing.Food was really good. Started with polenta and octopus which were both delicious. For mains the lobster tagliolini, rabbit pappardelle was very good with the ingredients that complimented well together. We also wanted to try the black bass to share and it was a really good choice. Overall, a nice restaurant to go for great Italian cuisine! -

Upon arrival at Scarpettas grand corner entrance the greeting from the hostesses were warm and friendly. The ambiance and decore is perfectly paired, from its gorgeous bar area and their hight top marble tables, to the main seating area, everything looks sharp and impeccable. Our waiter Gent was an incredible delight and the highlight of our evening. Yet the entire team is warm friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make sure your experience is top noch. The food is exquisitely rich and decadent yet perfectly balanced and plated with beautiful precision.Highly recommend this place as it has a dish to satisfy every kind of eater out there.Thank you Avery and Martin for also making our meal special. -

Duck and Foie Ravioli is probably the best ravioli I’ve ever had. The drinks were just as good (had the Old Fashioned)… my girlfriend had the bone marrow pasta and loved it. Service was also wonderful. Can’t recommend enough. -

Great restaurant. Service at the highest level. A larger selection of wines than at the international fair in Milan. Will I come back? I already did. The service of a nice young gentleman named Niko made our evening. Thank you for a wonderful dinner, my date loved you. See you next time. I definitely recommend this place. -

Dined at Scarpetta for the first time and it did not disappoint! The food was incredible and our server was excellent and so attentive! He could tell that I didnt love my wine so suggested another one and brought me a different glass of wine. We started with the BLACK BASS: lemon confit, pink peppercorn, ikraa caviar, dill, and the Market salad and for dinner: the spaghetti (best spaghetti ever!) and the PAPPARDELLE with rabbit ragu, kale, gremolata, mint and the BLACK COD with caramelized fennel, concentrated tomato. Food was 10/10, service was 12/10 (so good) and the vibes were amazing. Would definitely go back again and again. -

Great & attentive service, professional staff. Here’s my experience. We booked a table indoors which you too should. Music level is just right, and noise level is normal indoors. The staff was very careful with the allergy notes and made sure and informed us accordingly. Whoever came to the table knew about. Great communication there! First, you are served selection of breads alongside butter, olive oil and some sort of babaganus. Breads were unique and so good. They have gluten free options too. We shared Burrata that comes with fresh tomatos, topped with olives and served on top of eggplant pure. Interesting but overall good, especially heirloom tomatos- very fresh & tasty. Second starter was charred octopus. It normally comes with its own sauce made of octopus head but we had it on the side for a possible contamination with shellfish as one of us have allergy to it. Octopus was good but not wow. The star for me was the lobster tagliolini nero. Black tagliolini was cooked to the perfect and was rich in lobsters. The portion was also right. Not too small, not too big. Certainly give it a go if you want to try pasta. For cocktails, I had a classic margarita with black salt rim and it was really good. The only thing that they did not ask was our vaccination cards since they only allow vaccinated people to dine indoors as per the website.Overall it’s quite expensive but give the quality in food & service, you should try it out. Great fine dining atmospere with class. I love it. -

I recently dined at Scarpetta and had a delightful experience overall. The restaurants atmosphere was charming and inviting. I opted for the pasta tasting menu, and each dish was exceptional, showcasing authentic Italian flavors. However, the air conditioning was a bit too strong, making it slightly uncomfortable at times. Despite this, the quality of the food and the ambiance made for an enjoyable evening, and I would definitely return. -

Always an outstanding experience! The vibe is lively and cool. The food is always fabulous. The staff is spectacular. Service is impeccable. Every single time I go its consistent and perfect. The wait staff makes you feel like youre the most important person in the room. My first visit was in June 2018 when I had the best spaghetti of my life while sitting at the bar. A nice restaurant with quiet atmosphere and excellent service. Staff were polite and professional. I wish the bathroom was more accessible, I almost got lost looking for it even with directions. The food was delicious but I would have liked it served warmer. The complimentary bread basket comes with two pieces of stromboli, two pieces of focaccia, and a piece of rustic bread. My only complaint is that the chocolate cake being a lava cake was not communicated well on the menu. I strongly dislike lava cake and this one did not change my opinion.Rabbit Ragu PappardelleBraised Short Rib with Farro RissotoValrhona Chocolate CakeCreme Fraiche Cheesecake (strongly recommend) -

The team there is so friendly and kind. So incredibly charming in every way. Food was exquisite. Gorgeous and surprising. Get the crudo plates- TUNA definite stand out. Yellowtail is amazing too. Polenta appetizer is Insanely good. Any pasta will do even the spaghetti will make you happy. Wagyu strip is an absolute must. Dessert- get the PEAR Tart or Budino. Worth every moment. Beautiful and natural atmosphere and such a high quality evening all around. Alex the host- super memorable and friendly and Gent our server was confident, knowledgeable and genuinely cared about our evening. Thanks Avery, Marco and especially Martin and everyone who touched and added value to our table. We appreciate the memory you helped us make. Cheers to all the good stuff. ;) -

Got to try the new location on opening night and absolutely loved it! Had never been to the old one but had heard about the legendary spaghetti with tomato and basil, and it more than lived up to the hype. We also got the branzino entree and cauliflower romanesco appetizer which were fabulous, and the right amount of filling/portion. Plus they had the best starter bread selection I’ve ever seen- focaccia and rolls with prosciutto and spinach and sundried tomatoes, and spreads with mascarpone and tomato tapenade. Wine list was extensive too. The service was a little too attentive and brought our entrees too soon when we were trying to have a leisurely meal, and the prices are certainly not cheap, but this is a top notch spot and I’m glad it’s found its way to NoMad! Gets super crowded on weeknights at prime dinner hours, so make a reservation, or just come early and hang at the marble bar areas. Really cool ambiance and decor with hanging plants and geometric light fixtures. Classy but youthful and vibrant feeling. Fairly loud and medium loud music, especially near the bar. Good spot for 2 people, bigger groups would have a hard time hearing each other in the main dining room. -

Such a great find! Recommended by a friend who went to the Vegas location, the New York location did not disappoint. Although we had a little mishap with our reservation (we called explaining we would be 10 minutes late, they said OK, but still gave our table away - quite unfortunate), the food was beyond amazing. I personally ordered the Cavatelli, which is braised rabbit, fava, mint and porcini mushroom pasta (no pictures taken duh). I was a little nervous because I had never tried rabbit before, but it tasted AMAZING. We also tried 3 of their crowd favourite desserts - their espresso budino was by far my favourite. There is a bar downstairs as well called The Seville, which is also part of Scarpetta. The decor is very moody and their drinks are strong. The prices are decent for New York standards - pastas ranging from $30 and drinks from $20. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I cant wait to go back! -

I really loved the food and the place. What let me very unsatisfied it was how fast the courses were being served it just looked like they were on a rush to get us out of the restaurant. I get it that it was a Sunday but a place like that should know that the customer experience is a whole. This was my second time there and I am not sure if I would come back. The food def was amazing and so the cocktails for that is a 5 star -

Scarpetta has wonderful service and high quality food. The vegetarian options are somewhat limited but well executed. I would recommend focusing on the starters over the main course - the stracciatella is particularly great. They have an extensive wine list, and I would recommend the Barbara dasti by the glass. The most phenomenal part of our meal though, was dessert - one chocolate based and one espresso based (budina). Both were absolutely outstanding and worth the crazy premium you pay at this restaurant. The only point of criticism is that Scarpetta seems to have subscribed to this pretentious new york city notion of making customers start at the bar even when they arrive exactly on time for their reservation, without a hint of an apology. It is arrogant and unsavoury. -

I went here for the food and was surprised by the extremely elegant and trendy ambiance. This northern Italian (iykyk) restaurant has its own vibe - from the service staff having accents across a variety of locales to the very intentionally curated drink list to the truly outstanding and delicate plates of seafood and pasta. In addition, everyone there was beautiful and well dressed and this restaurant caters both to people who were more casual in flannels and jeans getting a drink at the bar to a group of extremely fancy women in designer clothes celebrating something like a birthday. I went with a good friend and have sat a lovely corner table (if you can get one, I recommend) and it was posh while also being welcoming, not pretentious. It was lively but not loud so you couldnt hear your table conversation. It is expensive, period, but it the quality of everything makes the price make sense. Ill be back. Oh and the bread basket is WILD - one of the best of my life with the spreads. -

Had dinner at Scarpetta tonight for the first time. Busy Saturday night and had quite a wait in spite of reservations. There was an unfair issue with getting seated but the manager Bledar took control of the situation and turned a negative into a positive with appropriate attentiveness, understanding and most of all respect…..mark of excellent management! The food was great. Appetizers of note included the yellowtail crudo and the octopus. For the main course, the branzino was perfectly cooked and flavorful. We had an absolutely fantastical dinner at Scarpetta just over a week ago... I can still taste the cacio e pepe ravioli, the very simple but astonishingly delicious spaghetti with tomato. And thats not even thinking about the risotto or the duck or the halibut... and cant forget the espresso budino dessert (along with everything else we had!). So, the food was good.... and the serve - also as good as one could expect!I reached out when making the reservation asking if we could have a sampling menu - my wifes birthday and our 2 daughters were visting from CA and MA; my wife doesnt eat shellfish or meat, but we wanted to experience as much of the menu as possible. The somellier visited several times to discuss potential wine choices (we passed as we dont drink wine), and the maitre d came by to discuss our menu options - he put together the sampler as noted above. Water was readily replenished, he came by to chat several times, we had a great experience. We highly recommend Scarpetta; just wish it was closer to our home (in central NJ); too far away to go for an unplanned Wednesday evening dinner. Which in some ways, is probably a good thing! :) -

The restaurant is very busy, has good energy and a nice vibe. The decor is very uplifting. The restaurant has a large staff and service is very good. I thought the menu was interesting; the dishes were well composed, visually stunning. We had dinner for 6. Everyone enjoyed their food and had a great time. This is a great spot for special occasions. If you come early, you can chill in the lobby at the hotel, which is a cool scene, great place to kill time. -

This place made our trip to NYC. The octopus was well prepared, seasoned and cooked. A lot of places mess up the preparation by not ensuring the sand is removed from the tentacles but this place does it right. My gf got the duck breast and it was thoroughly enjoyed. Normally, I don’t like fish but this place has a very well made Black Cod. Mixed cocktails were more on the average side but not a big deal. -

Delivered exactly what I was hoping for at the first dinner after my fiancée and I got engaged — a true NYC fine dining experience. The interior is elegant and the ambience is buzzing. Attentive and friendly service all around. The scallops may have been the best I’ve ever had. The short rib agnolloti were delicious. Veal chop was cooked to perfection. Apple tart was the perfect treat to cap off the night. Top 3 meals I’ve had all year. -

Dining here is always a pleasure. Service and food are outstanding and the dining room and bar area are both beautiful and comfortable. You cant say that about many places these days. My favorite dish is the spaghetti and tomato and basil sauce which is really crazy as Im Italian and a pretty good cook but something about that sauce is addictive. The $38 prix fixe lunch is a great deal during the week! -

Came here during restaurant week. The ambiance is beautiful, the service was wonderful. Enjoyed everything we ordered - from the complimentary bread basket, to the yellowtail and polenta, to the ravioli and branzino. WOW. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and we will be back! -

Wonderful place for brunch! Our waitress, Felisha, gave awesome recommendations for both drinks and food. The food was delicious, prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was very urban. We were there for my best friends birthday, and they brought out some small cookies rather than a full dessert when they noticed we were getting full off our sweet brunch dishes (French toast and pancakes). And really, their brunch drinks were all excellent! Highly recommend. -

I like the food. I like the Wagyu strip, polenta with soup, cauliflower side. Black cod is not as tasty as Nobu. The apple tart desert is very good. I had two. Service at table is good.Front desk host service is very unpleasant and not up to par. They stubbornly refused to seat me before the other party arrived and mentioned a 1.5h dining time which easily exceeded. Very unpleasant service and lack of hospitality. No other fine dining restaurants have offer such poor treatment among over 200 I have dined in Manhattan -

Scarpetta was incredible! Every dish we tried was fantastic. The bread basket was delicious, and the burrata was so fresh. We loved the creamy polenta and the charred octopus - both were perfect. The ravioli cacio e pepe and tagliolini nero were amazing, full of flavor. We ended the meal with the Valrhona chocolate cake, which was heavenly. Our waiter, Mr. Alex, was top-notch. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend Scarpetta for a wonderful dining experience! -

Wonderful service from the hostess stand to the waitstaff. Took a group of friends here for a birthday celebration. Staff was really attentive and the atmosphere was beautiful. Allergies of my party were taken into account at the start of the evening. I would absolutely recommend Scarpetta for a special occasion.
