Dont walk fast or you will pass it. Wonderful use of basement space. Definitely cool lounge atmosphere. The Midtown burger was fantastic, and the bar staff was very accommodating. Dont look for separate restroom facilities, this place is non-gender. Great space!

Amazing venue, incredible talent! Lucky Chengs did a fantastic job putting together an unforgettable private event for us, including booking THE Yuhua Hamasaki! Cant wait to come back for their weekend drag brunch!

Nice location.. Nice Ambiance...Versatile DJs.. and (Cool Grown) crowd..Cliques are normally in there own Lil bubble.Ease up people just let loose and have fun!!!I believe VIP is needed..but overall.............. my Time there was enjoyable.

Saw a dinner theater show called truffles, my first time at the Engine room. This is a cool steam punky club that would also be great for a rave, a disco, a sexy party or some combination of the three. Will def be keeping tabs of events going on here, sure having to travel near Times Square is less than ideal,but I could be convinced to do so if I knew the venue was the caliber of the engine room!!

Lucky Chengs is a New York institution. Like many of us renters, theyve re-located a few times, but have no doubt they are still around, and these women know how to work it!In reading through some of the negative reviews, they all focus on the price, somehow forgetting the economics of a live show, with performers that need (and deserve) to be paid. All of the performers were absolutely lovely- happily chatting tables up before the show, available for selfies and for chatter. Take lots of $1s so you can make it rain - thats part of the fun.In terms of the performances- there were a lot of original acts, extremely over-the-top and very fun. Lots of great musical mash-ups mixed in with spoken word from movies to absolutely hilarious effect. Carrie had the absolute best physical comedy and facial expressions; Svetlana Stoli knows no bounds in regards to her performance. This may not be the show you expect, but come with an open mind and respect the work that goes into it and have an awesome time.

Large spacious dance venue. El Colmado hosts fun monthly traditional bachata socials worth the trip. The club is entirely underground with great air-conditioning albeit limited ventilation. The bar spans the length of the space and there is seating all along another wall with a couple of tables by the entrance.The entryway at the end of the staircase is a bit narrow, and further blocked by the check-in/payment booth. Not sure if this poses an inconvenience for larger-bodied individuals. This is also not an ADA-accessible place as the only way to enter is through that steep staircase descending straight from the street-level.Bathrooms are located in a dim alcove. They consist of all-gender stalls with solid locks and floor-to 7+ doors. They are clean and well-kept, could use more paper towels and more attention to the sink areas (for ex. the sink towards the back usually lacks soap and paper towels).All in all, the dance socials are so good Im willing to overlook any slight inconveniences.

Great spot and location. Sound, light and special effects top notch. Bathroom and Club design is surreal. Owner is genuine. Social atmosphere at its finest...cant miss. Must go and definitely will talk about 👍

Came here for the SpeakHer series which featured female singers, songwriters and DJs. The venue was very accommodating and a great size to dance, sit at the bar or sit lounge style. We tried the food, burgers, wings, fries, spring rolls, onion rings etc. and everything was cool. Nothing over the top but the service was great and the drinks were awesome. The management was very involved in making sure everything was working properly and that staff and guests were supported.I will absolutely return for an event or just to lounge.

11/5/22 - Found this spot on a whim while visiting the city. What an experience - we stayed on the dance floor. The music was on point (it was Afrobeats night), drinks were good and the bathroom attendant was accommodating....annnddd they didnt close till 4am!! We will be returning.

A really cool place in the heart of times square! In all the times weve been to TS, never one did we notice this random door that leads to just a beautiful secret room. We went there for a halloween show last night and it was just amazing. From the staff, to the vibe, to the food - everything was great. We tried the guacamole and the gluten-free spaghetti with arugula pesto and chili threads -- so so delicious. Never tasted anything like that before. The drinks were slightly pricy but they also used top-shelf liquor so it made sense. Would love to come here again to try other food and drinks as well as enjoy new shows!! :)

Such a fun place! Good food & service... but the entertainment was frickin’ awesome! The band, tap dancers, MC & burlesque dancer were incredible, and the swing dancers were amazing. Could’ve watched them all night. Had such a great time. Cannot wait to go back.

This subterranean speakeasy has solid food and relatively inexpensive drinks for Midtown. Live music or entertainment is often featured, and the vibe is very much like a supper club from the olden days. The best nights feature live jazz and burlesque.

The best farewell in New York!!! Incredible food, service and the queens are very friendly, they make you feel comfortable in a friendly atmosphere. We went with my 16-year-old daughter and she was amazed by everything. Make reservations and bring lots of cash!!! We will return!!!
