    My family hosted our annual Christmas party here. John was very easy to contact and helpful with planning. Jacob and Linda were fantastic as our bartenders for the night. We had such a fun time and will definitely be back for next year’s party. The package came with a ton of food and they were consistently replacing empty plates. The space was perfect. We had 30 people but there was definitely room to have double if not way more. We will absolutely be back to Slattery’s and I’d recommend it to anyone for a party!

    I have planned 2 work holiday parties at Slatterys and everyone thoroughly enjoys it. We have done the Midtown Cocktail Party package which includes 8 appetizers and premium open bar for 2 hours and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. Some guests had such a nice time at the most recent holiday party, they stayed an hour after! Both the downstairs and upstairs spaces are great.

    A nice place off the main street to get some grub. They have good lunch prices and the ambience feels dim and cozy. Sometimes the service feels a bit sparse with one person running the floor and one other tending the bar, but they get your food out pretty quick for a lunch rush. They are a bit harder to see on the side street, so please do keep your eyes peeled and dont mistakenly walk into Dillons!

    A few years back a friend of mine and I were on a trip in Manhattan and stopped here after we checked out of our Airbnb for some lunch and a drink. We were talking about what we were going to do with our luggage cus we had checked out and still had time before we had to be at the airport. The bartender offered to lock our luggage up for us. They are so nice and hospitable here, we come here every time we are in Manhattan.

    Attended a great reception hosted by media tech company, great drinks and food.I accidentally left my wallet in bathroom but didn’t realize it until I left. The manager found it and gave to the meeting host who called to tell me they found it. Very nice manager who also refused a tip to thank him.Recommend Slattery’s !!!

    We ate here in June. We had the best experience. Our kids still talk about Sheena! Sorry, if I spelled your name incorrectly. We had the best late lunch here. We were the only customers for a bit. My daughter had her rabbit salad, which is just lettuce and dressing. She was also given one to go. Which she carried to the Empire State Building and appears in all our pictures. She ate that salad when we got back to the hotel. Sheena put our son to work because he didnt eat all his burger. 🤣 We will return here to eat!

    Fantastic drinks and a complimentary atmosphere for us on the opening game night! Kyle the bartender took very good care of us. We shared the chicken pot pie and it was more than enough for two.Undoubtedly a midtown hidden gem.Will be back for another game day for sure!

    More energy and passion than an actual game in Miami. Food is solid and drinks are fast. This is the #1 hands down best Dolphins bar I’ve been too. As soon as you walk in on game day you know it’s going to be a good time win or lose.

    Slatterys was a great spot for our event! John was great to coordinate with and Claire took great care of us on the day of! We were upstairs and had a lovely time as a group of about 50 people!     I am an event planner and have researched and tried many places to host a breakfast for our St. Patricks Day Parade marchers in my 24 years working. I came across Justine and John Slattery almost 10 years ago. They were accommodating, reasonable and welcoming. Right away I felt at home. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the food is delicious! I highly recommend visiting Slatterys pub for yourself and then come back to enjoy your events or private dinner with them. You will not regret it!!!

    We had our work holiday parties here 2021 and 2023 now. AMAZING food, lovely staff, and great accommodation. They had a cancellation and got us an event better space. The teriyaki chicken was a HIT. You think you dont like spring rolls? Youll like these ones. They even made us mixed drinks as part of the open bar. Better than anything else - it was affordable for us as a nonprofit. Bartender took us a group photo. Overall perhaps the best value you can get in midtown Manhattan and the surrounding area!P.s. we have vegetarians, gluten free, non dairy, etc on staff and found options for everyone!

    I had the wonderful opportunity to host a milestone birthday at Slattery’s over the summer. The owners were highly responsive to my questions and the staff were attentive and accommodating! I truly enjoyed my booking and partying experience with Slattery’s, as did all of my guests—they were very impressed with the quality of food, variety of drinks, and ambiance of the upstairs space. I would certainly consider hosting at Slattery’s again for future events—12/10 experience. 😊A big thank you to everyone who helped out at the summer surprise birthday bash—my gratitude is with you forever, as it was a night to remember in the best way possible.

    Very quickly becoming my FAVORITE bar in midtown. The food is good, the drinks are always good. And they have Andrew. He alone makes the place a must visit. Hes friendly, knows when to talk and when to leave you alone. On top of all of that, last time I went was in November. Walked in recently looking very different and he still remembered me and my drink. That in itself exemplifies a good bartender to me!

    My wife and I stopped in after a trip to the Empire State Building, thirsty and craving some solid bar food. Claire was an amazing bartender and made sure my wife and I felt as welcome as any regular. It was a real pleasure to spend a few hours (and several pints!) at this great Irish Pub!     What an amazing place! Went to a reception here this past weekend, I believe the second floor was rented out specifically, and wow! All of the staff were so welcoming and nice. The service was also fantastic. The food that was being given out was delicious and honestly made rounds more often than I’ve ever seen at a place.If you ever need to host an event, or if you ever just want a nice Irish pub to settle down in, I can’t imagine you could find a better place than Slattery’s. Both brothers were also so nice!

    We held a reception here in the upstairs room and everything was absolutely perfect. Our guests loved the appetizers and enjoyed the bar as well. We were lucky enough to get to work with John, Justin, Adrian and other fabulous staff. At the end of the night, not only was the ambience great —with the full bar, balcony, projector set up, music, and food/drink—but it was the kindness of the staff at Slattery’s that made all the difference.     I recently had a happy hour event here for a friend, and we were able to reserve the upstairs area, which was sooo nice and spacious! There is even a balcony, which is really unique for midtown. John, the owner, and his staff are so charming and hospitable. I hadn’t been able to drink that night, but I wanted to look like I was, so the two bartenders kept making me “vodka sodas” minus the vodka, so that I didn’t need to blow up my spot, and I thought that was so sweet! Also the apps are amazing - all of them!!!

    We had Irish breakfast for a group of 30 people upstairs at The Midtown Pub the day before St Patricks Day. All our group had a great time. Food was delicious and service was awesome, from both our waitress and bartender. They were both very attentive to our needs. Overall a great experience.     I was hosting an event for a Saturday night. I contacted several establishments a week in advance and didnt hear back from anyone. Because Slatterys was in the vicinity of where the event was being held, I contacted John (the Owner) Slattery and he was more than receptive of having the space available/reserved for 25+ people.His staff was on point and looked after us for the evening. (We arrived at 10:30 PM and stayed until 2 AM). I would definitely recommend this place. Great times surrounded by very good people.

    This is a great place to have a party. From planning to great service, they made it really easy for me to host a cocktail party with open bar and some appetizers.     As a bar, Slatterys is as good as many and better than some, and thats what the 4 stars are meant to reflect. However, I have been to dance parties at this bar, where the upstairs party room is used with a Deejay, and I have to say that the party room is not conducive to a dance party. The room is too narrow and there is no room for a dance floor, especially if you have a lot of people in attendance. The room IS good for a party or a get-together and CAN be used for dancing if you cap the amount of people attending.

    Weve visited Slatterys multiple times and always have a great time. This is close to our office and were always welcomed by a friendly staff. Happy hour specials and food are great too!We reserved a portion of the bar for my birthday one year and the staff went above an beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Great spot!

    Ambiance is funky in a good way Funny and attentive bartenders, all kinds of spirits and beers. Unisex bathroom if thats a problem too bad. It was clean, and well appointed i.e. Toilet paper. I stopped in prior to attending the Morgan Library just down the street. A great little Manhattan gem.

    Last night was my first time going to this pub. I was a little hesitant but I decide to go in. I sat at the first high table at the door. I waited for a few and the most kind host came and took my order. The food was well prepared, hot and delicious. The atmosphere was laid back and I actually felt comfortable. After I ate I sat at the bar. The bartender was so kind and attentive. I asked him if it was okay to take a few picks and he didnt hesitant to respond YES. The drinks was lovely (I usally drink Jack but my boss suggested Jameson because I was in an Irish Pub). Bathrooms were clean , staff was polite and courteous. Even the customers was nice and engaging. I would definitely referr this establishment to friends, and especially co-workers. A nice place to distress afterwork. It felt safe and very diverse. A non prejudice atmosphere. 5 stars, blessing for continuous growth and prosperity to the owner and staff!!Love is Love.

    Slatterys is hands down my favorite bar in the city. Not only do they have killer lunch specials ($12 for lunch with an adult beverage) and amazing happy hour (free shot with your first drink) which in midtown is unheard of BUT they have the most incredible staff in all of Manhattan - and you can take my word for it... I drink A LOT. Everyone, from the owners, to the wonderful bar manager, to every one of the bartenders, servers and bussers, they are just great people. Once you stop in a few times, they will have your order ready and waiting, and over time if youre lucky enough they become friends.The one star review is prettttyy absurd if you ask me, whose genius idea was it to order chicken pesto at an Irish Pub? get it together. Future tip: their bar food is top notch.

    Favorite bar in Manhattan! I know these reviews can be one sided, especially when you see they just said everything was fantastic, and didnt use 4 stars or half stars, etc. But Slatterys has earned every star I gave it. The owners and bartenders are true Irish, the service is phenomenal, the food is great, great selection or drinks at reasonable price. It just wins across the board. If youre looking for clubb-in, then go someplace else. If you are looking to enjoy yourself with some friends after work, for lunch, or for diner, go to Slatterys. Best bar / pub in Manhattan.

    Only found this fantastic place on our last night even though it was only a couple streets away.The staff were amazing and even though its a pub with locals having a beer we did not feel out of place and the waitress was always attentive and we never dried out.     Any time I go to a sports bar, I always hope it has enought TVs to see the game(s) from any angle. Slatterys has TONS of TVs (upstairs and downstairs) and the unpretentious environment makes it one of the best places in the city to watch a game. And if you happen to be a UNC Tar Heel fan, theres no better place outside of Franklin Street to watch a Heels game as Slatterys is the official UNC alumni bar--and they pull out ALL the stops including Hes Not Blue Cups! Few East-side bars would get me to consistently travel from the UWS but I never hesitate when the plan is to watch a game at Slatterys.

    I organized a reunion for the organization i work for. I was looking for a place that did not require a minimum or charged a fee. I was able to find 2 locations. When I found Slattery and thought perhaps something was going to be horrible because you get what you paid for. Was I wrong. John Slattery himself was there to make sure everything went well and his staff was amazing again although we did not spend a lot of money. It was exactly what we needed. A place to get a big group together without spending too much. The space was great and private. I can not say enough. Everything was great all around.

    I hosted my fiancés 30th birthday party at Slatterys and Im so glad I did! The whole team was easy to work with and very accommodating. The private room upstairs is spacious with plenty of seating. The staff was super friendly and service was great throughout the entire night. We were also able to play our own music which is a big plus for us. I would definitely recommend hosting an event here!

    Updating my recent review: went here with a coworker on Friday and had an issue with overcharging. The owner responded very promptly and was very understanding and helpful in resolving the problem.     We actually had our company holiday party at this location this year. It was amazing. We had no complaints and that’s huge to say as we had over 80 people in attendance. We had the upstairs area reserved. The drinks were great, the food was really good and the space was just what we were looking for. Service was top notch. We had an open bar party with food platters that were going around for 3 hours. Even the planning process was very smooth. I had a lot of questions and concerns before booking and the owner answered all my questions quickly and throughly. I truly appreciated service and help from start to finish.

    What a great experience at Slattery’s Midtow Pub for the UNC Tar Heels game night. The food was great and served hot. We loved the burgers, wings, fish & chips, burritos, nachos, to name a few. The service was impeccable. Claire C was second to none! Fun, loving, and hard-working, she made sure everyone was taken care of and having a great time. A shout out to the John and Justin, the owners,for pulling off a bar party for over 500 people complete with DJ and the Carolina fight song!

    We held a holiday party here in December 2023 and everyone who attended was very impressed with the personal touch given by John Slattery and his staff. Planning the party was made very simple because they are very accommodating and flexible. All questions were answered, John was extremely responsive to emails making it a very easy decision to go with this venue! The food was excellent, great variety and plenty!! Also, compared to other venues during the Holiday season in the heart of NYC, this was the best bang for our buck! The location is also excellent, located right near the Empire State Building, Penn Station and Grand Central, making it an ideal location for anyone to travel to this location from anywhere, really! The balcony on the second floor added a great touch, giving us the option to go outdoors, while still having the option to stay indoors- all within the privacy of our own party space. If youre thinking of having an event, big or small, dont waste your time calling other places. This is the best one!! If youre a sports enthusiast, youll DEFINITELY love this place even more!! Sports memorabilia, great spot to watch games, hold a Superbowl party, or any other party!! Five stars, A++++++ Highly recommend Slatterys!!!

    I booked the second floor for my birthday here a couple years ago and it was fantastic! The staff are all so lovely and helpful and the drinks are yummy!
