    Been visiting Snafu for about 15 years now. I always have a good time. It’s upbeat, good music and sports on the screen.. HOWEVER! The brasilian bartender continuously tried to over charge me a couple times by adding 2 more drinks on each cash round. I was with 3 other friends and whether I ordered 2 drinks she would charge me for 4. She actually got away with it 2X but the 3rd time i had to call her out on it. She immediately without hesitation adjusted the amount. It’s a shame because I paid cash for each round and tipped her in average of 20-25% per round.So just be aware when you are having a good time with friends “the bartenders will add drinks to your total” especially if they are aware you are with friends.. they use this as an advantage to place unordered drinks from “your friend” on your total bill.

    I had an amazing time at Snafu Bar! The atmosphere was electric, and I felt like I was at a family party, surrounded by great people. We were dancing at the bar with others, and the energy was contagious. The staff was friendly, and everyone was just there to have a great time. It was one of those nights where you leave feeling so happy and fulfilled. Can’t wait to go back! The drinks and popcorn were great.

    My friend and I visited Snafu 1/6/24 after seeing “Six.” We didn’t know what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised. Walking in, we knew we were in the right place as the DJ was playing a great mix of one of our faves. And, the music kept getting better as the evening progressed! Our bartender Lila was busy, but still made time to be friendly and didn’t complain when we inadvertently ordered the most complicated (and delicious) drinks on the menu (see video.) The crowd was lively and diverse… sometimes unruly, but the manager and staff kept them cool and under control. I suspect they were typical Saturday regulars, otherwise they might have been tossed. Will definitely come back when I return to NY. Put it on your list!

    So happy to see that this place is still open after so many years. This is the best casual bar on the block. There’s a downstairs too, so you don’t get bored of the scene.Great drinks, deals, some arcade games too. Highly recommend for a quick stop spot for drinks or a casual outing with friends, especially visitors and tourists.

    I have seen this place many times on my way back from office. Decided to stop by with a few friends. It is a nice fun place with a fun vibe and amazing service. Do not let the entrance deceive you. It has a ton of space and a downstairs area with different games. Will be definitely heading back in the next couple of weeks.

    Amazing service and atmosphere. The drinks are relatively cheap and we were able to get a great table for our group.Seasoned popcorn is served to you nonstop, and its so yummy. Downstairs you can help yourself to beer pong and other bar games. Great place to bring a group and save money.

    An absolute peach of a bar in an otherwise barren (where good bars are concerned) part of midtown. Avoid the plethora of soulless, joyless Irish bars in the vicinity and check this place out. At the bar, Thomas is superb. Great selection of beers and single malt whiskies and all well priced. Highly recommend.

    Loved the atmosphere and music as well as the decor! Its the perfect spot for afterwork drinks and it is laid back. Plenty of games downstairs.The waitress and staff are very welcoming and helpful. Service is impeccable!

    Awesome bar with a split level set up! Theres the main bar area, and theres a lounging area on the upper split level to sit and talk with friends and a beer pong set up on the lower split level to hang out and have fun. Staff is also super nice and friendly too! Ask the staff to do celeb shots during beer pong and theyll wipe the floor with the other team! 😁

    Stumbled upon this bar. We had no clue that this place was going to be as lively as it was when we initially walked passed up. As soon as the door opened, it was like stepping into its own world. Pretty good prices and great service. I love the complimentary popcorn.

    Great dive bar with awesome drink specials. Off the beaten path this place feels like a true local. Bartenders are friendly. I came in here for a couple nights to get away from the craziness that is NYC. The bar itself has an awesome atmosphere with plenty of space as there is a long bar. I went during Christmas when it was a bit slow. I can totally see this place rocking with the younger crowd though on a random night. Highly recommended to experience a true NYC experience.

    Great place in Midtown for drinks. I live in the UK and always stop by here when in New York, cheap drinks at any hour of the day. Great barstaff and a friendly crowd at the bar, I dont think Ive ever had a bad time in this bar!

    We have been there during the week. The place was not really filled thats why we got a nice seating area for 3 people. We had some Margaritas that were okay. The price was also okay for NYC. You also get some snacks for free. The atmosphere was nice with all the lights surrounding us.

    Excellent midtown spot near Grand Central. Prices are not astronimical like other spots in the area and the staff are nice and friendly. There is a Golden Tee arcade as well as pool table downstairs and a upper lounge area if you prefer to hang out on couches instead of the stools at the bar and tables. They offer popcorn all night. A must go to spot if in the area. Great spot to go to with a group of friends.

    One of several bars in a small chain with the same owners. Location is well designed with lots of room in the bar area, lounge, and the basement where you can play beer pong. Staff are very friendly, though the new bartender was awful. Pitcher prices to play pong are on the expensive side when its not happy hour.

    Snafu is a great little, slightly divey bar in East Midtown. Perfect for a couple of drinks after work before heading home. Very much on the no frills type of vibe. They have lots of TVs to watch sports, too. One upside is that they are constantly handing out bowls of free popcorn.

    Great local dive bar! We stayed at the Lexington around the corner and found this bar on my way back from CVS. If youre staying at the Lexington, I totally recommend you not get drinks at the lobby bar. Instead save you some $ and go here for drinks! We visited on an off night. Had the entire upstairs to ourselves. Ive had better bar popcorn, but still good for something to snack on while drinking. Staff was very kind and helpful! Wish we could visit when theres a bigger crowd. Overall, very cool dive bar and worth a visit!!

    Great bar, wonderful staff... My boyfriend misplaced his wallet in the bathroom, it was returned with everything intact by an employee. Bartender was laid back, good drink specials and cozy setting!!

    Very cool bar for a younger crowd! The people working there are awesome and the drinks are reasonably priced! Only complaint was the music was very loud.

    Lovely New York bar, especially rocks from 5pm at end of office hours weekdays. Great bar tender staff. Also really professional door staff. A bit loud on a Friday night. But there it is.

    Visited on a Thursday around 6pm and it was already packed. However, the staff was fast and friendly and drinks were moderately priced. It was a little louder than what I was in the mood for at the time so we only stayed for one drink but thats just a matter of preference. Overall, cool place to stop in for a couple drinks without breaking the bank.

    This is a nice little, dimly lit bar. Its the type of place youd want to duck into to grab a few drinks and talk with your friends/date/whoever.Its cheap for NYC - my sangria was good, but it was $10. I believe margaritas were $8, and Blue Moon was $7. So, I wouldnt call it $, more like $$, but again, it may be $ for NYC.Its a nice place and the staff are super friendly - would definitely recommend.

    Drinks were good, spacing is not super big. Heavily Corporate people based spot. Bartenders were fast at making drinks, and cleaning up. Bathrooms were clean.

    MADELINE IS THE ABSOLUTE SWEETEST AND CONSIDERATE WAITRESS HERE!!! She’s a total doll AND SUPER GORGEOUS! (TIP HERRRRRR $$$$) 💙My friends and I were SOOOO happy to find this place. It’s perfectly chill to lounge and drink. We were able to have a conversation without the music drowning out the conversation. Nice place for drinks and BEER PONG!

    Such a sexy bar with a nice atmosphere. The cocktail menu is a bit scimpy. The barlady is beautiful, but unfortunately with no personality. Not many patrons when we visited on Sunday night at 21h30. We specially liked the top seating of the bar. We liked the music as well.

    Divey bar. It is what it is. Lots of locals, they take up a lot of room. Fills up fast even in a weekday. Definitely wont break the bank. But loud and crowded. If you want that kind of vibe, Thats what it is. 4 stars because drinks are cheap for New York.
