    Great drinks, unobstructed views of Empire state building and not too loud music. The crowd is usual afterwork people and tourists, not too fancy and relaxed vibe. We had a reservation on Mon 6pm and got seated right away (had seats to choose from), got the best spot. Later it became busy but never felt like it was overcrowded like in many other rooftops.Our waiter Alexandra was prompt and nice. With 2 drinks each we spent around $80 before tips which is not bad for NYC rooftop scene.

    Very nice rooftop with a phenomenal view of Empire State Building and so much more.🦋On the 22nd floor.🦋 there’s indoor & outdoor seating to hang out based on the temperature and mood. But can get congested.🦋 there’s definitely a spyglass. So you can see things up close & personal.🦋I didn’t enjoy my “TIRAMISU MARTINI” way to sweet, felt mostly cream, felt no espresso at all. Very disappointed in that drink. But if you’re into that, enjoy.Next time I’ll stick to my favorite drink “espresso martini” just was hoping to try something new & like it....Overall definitely recommend. Extensive cocktail menu. Brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 1-3pm

    If youre in search of a cozy place with a breathtaking view of the Empire State Building, look no further! While it may not be the highest rooftop bar in the city, it offers a relaxed, chilled and inviting atmosphere, along with some great drinks. During my visit, the service was not particularly warm or overly friendly, but I have to admit that they certainly know how to make delicious drinks!The bars size may be smaller compared to others of its kind, but it more than makes up for it with its captivating view. Part of the deck is open, providing an unobstructed sight of the Empire State Building and a portion of Midtown. However, what excited me the most was the outdoor seating. From the bar seats and glass table, you can immerse yourself in the vastness of the concrete jungle, feeling like youre sitting in the front row of a blockbuster movie! I could easily spend hours here, staring at the majestic Emperor.For a better appreciation of the view, binoculars are installed at the deck. Although the idea is fantastic, their positioning could use some improvement. As a relatively tall adult, I found myself bending my body into uncomfortable angles just to look through them. A slight redesign would be appreciated.One aspect that posed a challenge was the sharp lighting embedded in the floor. Not only did the light reflect unflatteringly on my and my friends chins, but it was also very blinding.Overall I did enjoy my time here and would not hesitate to visit again. Visited in June 2023. Paid by card.

    Had the fiesta omelette and the Mrs. Had the Avocado toast with Salmon. The omelette was the best NYC meal I had during my 4 day stay. Service was great and food was outstanding. If we had asked the staff to fix the rainy day then they probably would have! When you get great food you know it and this left no doubt in my mind.

    Great find! Intimate rooftop bar at the top of the Archer Hotel. So much fun to sip craft cocktails overlooking the Empire State Building. Servers are very attentive and were accommodating when the rain hit hard and we moved to a little indoor back lounge. The menu is small. We enjoyed our roasted vegetables with Burrata. Perfect snack with drinks.

    Enjoyed a work celebration here recently. The bar/restaurant kitchen provided food and a small but cozy area off to the side reserved for us. Cheese and chicken quesadillas, crispy egg rolls, margherita pizza, sliders and some sort of small, thin crab cake w/cucumber on top. All was tasty and the available cocktails, whiskey and bourbon were quite up to par. But what people really come here for is the view, which is amazing.

    Great view, expensive drinks, small tables. Super beautiful views but really expensive drinks ($16/coctail). It’s on top of the hoteland you just have to go through and go into the elevator. The tables are super slim but it gives you a nice view of the Empire State Building.

    Got in with no reservation around 8pm on Friday august 3rd. Everyone was really nice and friendly from the moment we walked in. Our first table was on the side of the building which had a nice view. But the hostess was super dope and made our night (I can’t remember her name!). After about 30 minutes I jus asked her if we would be allowed to stand at one of the tables with no chairs for a few minutes to get the best view of the Empire State since I was here with my partner for our anniversary trip. She told me we wouldn’t be able to do that but then she was able to move us to the table with the best view of the Empire State Building. That was super dope because she didn’t have to do that, but it really made our night. The drinks were mad good too, obviously on the more expensive side but you can’t complain cuz you paying for the view too. Music was cool too it’s like dance/pop which is a cool vibe. I would definitely recommend this place in the summer

    Views are incredible and the drinks were great! When I came during the week I got the vibe that they didn’t usually take walk ins. After a short wait we headed upstairs and I was surprised at how empty it was. They were definitely understaffed which made service a bit slow. Regardless, everyone was really kind and friendly and I can’t wait to come back! Also, I loved how the drink menu had a selection of zero proof cocktails!

    Small rooftop bar on top of the Archer hotel. You reserve your spot in advance, enter the hotel, and the concierge will bring you to the elevator and upstairs. Youll get seated (depending on your reservation) but have nice views from all tables. Picture attached is from the front row with the best views at night.

    Beautiful weather had us change plans to outside for my Birthday on Monday. Drinks with a view was perfect. We werent very impressed by the rooftop view during happy hour because it included way too many water towers at eye level but it was comfortable, quiet and small. Night time was a sparkling view of the Empire State building & skyline. We all enjoyed various good drinks. Both the calamari & buffalo wings we ordered to snack on were very tasty with lovely presentations but small portions. A great friendly staff. Id go back.

    Spyglass Rooftop Bar is a place to unwind and enjoy incredible views. Definitely not a place to be if you are scared of heights like I am lol, I will be breaking down the review by category.Food:I gave the food a 4/5 just because my girlfriend and I only had 2 items. (Calamaris & Baked Clams) Calamari was pretty good, typical good calamari, my girlfriend had the baked clams which she states that they were very big which is not something you get in most spots. they were not fishy at all, the bread crumbs on top of the clams were perfect. overall pretty decent appetizers. Definitely recommend those.Service:My lowest rating of this place will be from service 3/5. I made reservations which once my girlfriend and I got there we were seated immediately. However, It had to take me physically walking to the bar and asking if we are coming up to them to order or they come to us to get some sort of service. to their credit, the place was packed and it seemed like one person was waiting too many people. Maybe just having more staff on rotation for waiting could help in the future, until then my rating stands at 3/5.Atmosphere:5/5 easily, The view is the most incredible view I have ever seen living in new york. (lived here my whole life) I recommend coming here towards the sunset to see the empire state building light up!Overall, A great experience here, I will definitely come back to try an actual meal and enjoy the view once again !

    Booked at spyglass as we had heard good things about the roof top bar. Just our luck it had been raining and it was closed for safety as it was my wifes birthday we asked if there was any chance she could go out and take some photos.     Twas my bf and I last night in New York, it was midnight, we were restless, and a guest at the Archer Hotel. So we thought it was a perfect time to check out Spyglass bar at the very top of our hotel. It was a little on the smaller side, but as always its just my bf and I so we like when it feels more secluded, not crazy much people. (But also, i do blieve they get busy, because when we left for a yankees game, there was a line to go up to spyglass at the entrance of the hotel) Spyglass was beautiful! Perfect view of Empire state building!!!

    This was on top of the Archer Hotel where we were staying. We just had drinks after having dinner at Serra at Eatly. The view of the Empire State building was magnificent. The drinks were top notch. We even met someone from Texas while there.

    I was looking for a new rooftop spot to watch the sunset from and came across this one in an article. I made reservations and came in on mothers day at 7 to enjoy the sunset. The bar was empty and the seating was perfect. It was too cold to sit outside so I saw at a table up against the glass with the perfect view right in front of me. The service, drinks and food were all great. I enjoyed myself in the Empire room for hours. It was so good I made reservations for the following night with plans to sit outside. The following night I returned and found the bar to be very busy. Had I not had a reservation, I wouldnt have been able to get in. But I was happy to enjoy a lively crowd and was able to enjoy the view from outside. I cant wait to return in the fall. This bar is such a perfect hidden gem.

    Great view of the Empire State Building and Time Square during the daytime. Was able to get to the rooftop bar without a reservation right when they opened up around 4-5 PM. They do not have a summer happy hour (only winter from what was given). Drinks were OK- your standard cocktails with some twist. The bartender was able to put together an Aperol Spritz which wasn’t on the menu relatively quick. The only negative I would say is that the indoor area lacks proper air flow or air conditioning which would have been great especially walking through Manhattan on a humid summer day.

    Small rooftop, view of empire state building is very good, can see a bit of downtown and bit of Hudson yards but not the best rooftop bar for views. The staff however were all very friendly, not at all pretentious and annoying like some other rooftop bars. Drinks were pretty good, and some were strong enough for my liking.

    We got engaged here shortly before Christmas and it was truly magical. We visited NYC from England and my partner had been planning to propose here in front of the empire state building. Unfortunatly there was a large conference and our booking was moved to the back room, the staff had been attempting to contact me, however i had no phone reception in the states due to being on a UK sim. This did put my partner on edge slightly, however the staff were amazing and even filmed the proposal! We understand that large parties would take priority over us booking for just a few drinks, however, we were then very kindly escorted round the back to have engagement photos taken in front of the empire state building and even given flowers, drinks and deserts to celebrate. I will never forget that evening and want to thank all the staff for making it as special as it was. We definitely plan on visiting NYC again in the future and this is such a special place for us now, we will definitely be coming here for drinks again!

    Came here for a drink during the weekend and was surprised how great the view was. The lounge/bar on the 22nd floor has amazing views of the empire state building with an nice outdoor patio with a direct view.     A go to place for happy hour. Its located in midtown Manhattan near garment district. While the place is small, it is still stylish and cozy. Best part is, you get to see a closer look of empire building. Service is pleasant.

    The Spyglass is upscale cool. We had an event here recently and could not be more pleased with the excellent service, fantastic food and ambiance. It is a special rooftop spot, the initimate front space has unparalled views of the Empire State Building and a beautiful lounge with a back patio. We had friends in from around the world and everyone felt this was a real NYC experience. They complimented the delicious food from David Burkes Fabrick and the great speciality cocktails. Spyglass treated us so well and we recommend it to anyone looking for a night out in the city or planning a spectacular event!

    The views of the city are awesome especially the Empire State building directly in view!! My wife had Vodka Martinis and I was having Margheritas- celebrating our anniversary. We got there a little early by NY standatds - 9:30P so it was a little quiet (maybe 12 patrons) - but by 11P as we were leaving the place was hopping!
