    Exactly what you would expect! an afternoon pit stop for a delicious glass of champagne. for walk ins you can only (usually) sit at the bar, which is lovely however there are only 5 seats available, so pick your time wisely as otherwise you won’t be able to get a seat! i would recommend a booking but i would say sitting at the bar is much better than a table…

    The Champagne Bar at the Plaza Hotel is one of my absolute favorite spots in the city, a must-visit every time we go. The cocktails are exceptional, perfectly crafted to delight any palate.     Went in and sat at the bar for a wonderful glass of champagne to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Peter the bartender was pleasant, informative, and just such a pleasure. Servers continued to bring orders to the bar and Peter was attentive to them despite one of them, Sahid, being condescending and disrespectful to him. Upon asking Sahid a simple question myself, he was also disrespectful to me. Thank goodness we had Peter and not Sahid!! The Christmas decorations made the atmosphere just lovely!

    My sister and I decided to come to NY for my birthday and NY Eve and we loved this place! Everything was amazing! The ambiance, the staff, the food and the champagne cocktails! I loved the beautiful Christmas decorations throughout the place and especially in the main lobby!

    Turned a delicious glass of champagne and abundant cheese board in to an early dinner. Prices are high, but I expected that. Patrons ranged from a group in tuxedos and formal gowns to little girls straight off a local playground. Staff is attentive.

    Service was truly spectacular! The food..Amazing. I dont know what type of ice cream they use but MAN..it was GOOD! No lie you will spend a pretty penny eating and drinking but its definitely worth it! ( I recommend the wagyu burger)

    The Plaza Champagne Bar is a go-to whenever I have friends and family visiting here in NYC. Shaun, the bartender, is extremely friendly and always makes for an extra special experience. Whether he is at the Champagne Bar or Palm Court Bar, we are sure to find a seat! So grateful for this iconic NYC spot with top-notch staff like Shaun!

    What a stunning venue to grab a drink! We literally loved coming here and although it was originally to live out our Home Alone 2 dream, Im so glad that we had drinks at The Champagne Bar.The bartender, whose name I cant remember off the top of my head, was amazing and told us lots of stories about the hotel and all the people who had visited in the past. He was really kind and friendly and had been working there about 25+ years! He also gave us postcards that could then be mailed off to our family - it was such a cute idea and our family members loved it.We loved coming here for a calm and quiet drink and would definitely recommend a visit!

    I had read some negative reviews before going but I have to say, upon being greeted at The Champagne Bar, any concerns were quickly dispelled.My 2yr old daughter and I were made to feel so welcome, and were seated within 10 minutes. Service was attentive and the wagyu sliders and my kir royale were delicious. I would love to come again when back in New York! Thank you for making our evening!

    I stopped by for a quick lunch. Sat at bar, $32 Manhattan, $22 Soup de Jour- Tomato Bisque, $38 Wagyu Cheeseburger, 18% gratuity already added. $123.07, Jesus Christ.

    A truly one of a kind experience unlike any other. If you are in NYC, you must stay at the Plaza. And if you stay at the Plaza, you must dine and drink at the Champagne Bar.

    The plaza has not disappointed me and today makes no difference. Today I had the best old fashioned I’ve ever had and my sister had an amazing amaretto sour, whom I may add is hard to please beyond a strawberry slushie! With that said you’re in for a great drink-treat if you have Kenny Wong as your bartender and Joey Ayala as your server. Joey has a knack for finding the right drink for you, he’s truly gifted. Thank you both for an amazing afternoon lunch and drinks!

    Wow! It even smells expensive in here!!! The champagne is delicious although you pay for the location you are drinking it in. For a once in a lifetime experience though we paid $150 for a bottle we could have bought at the grocery store for $25. It was fun!!!! Great service and even better people watching. Everyone should do this at least once in their life. I might even do it again!!!

    We went to The Plaza for brunch expecting to go to The Palm Court, but were unable to get a table. We were delightfully surprised that The Champagne Bar was willing to accommodate us even though we were not “registered hotel guests”. It was a fun, sophisticated birthday treat. The waiter wasn’t overly friendly which was unfortunate and why I deducted a star.

    One of my favorite places to splurge while in New York! The champagne bar is always a great spot for people watching. The champagne list by the glass is the best in the city and it is served at the perfect temperature! The staff is friendly and professional. I have been there multiple times per day, but this was my first late night visit and it was the perfect place to end the night!!!!

    Go have a beer and relax on the sofa by the window. Expensive, though. But you know that already. You get a little appetizer tray with your drinks. Nice place. Go during the week and it is not super crowded which is nice.
