Lovely food and atmosphere. We were lucky to sit outside it was warm enough in November, it has a great vibe of the streets of Soho. We had seafood spaghetti and confit duck meatloaf which was absolutely delicious with some squash and pomegranate side. Wine is great too and their homemade choc chip cookies are divine. Thank you

The Dutch exceeded all of my expectations! As someone who was looking forward to a luxurious dining experience, I was not disappointed. The food was absolutely top-notch—every dish was prepared with such care and attention to detail. The salmon was particularly outstanding, cooked perfectly and bursting with flavor.Service was impressively fast and attentive, which made the whole experience feel seamless and relaxed. The staff were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. The wine selection was fantastic, offering a great variety of options that paired wonderfully with our meal. I really appreciated the thoughtful recommendations from our server, who clearly knew their stuff. And lets not forget the desserts—wow! They were the perfect ending to an already excellent meal. Each one was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked.Overall, The Dutch delivered on its promise of luxury and quality. Its a place I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. Five stars, without a doubt! The ambience was warm and the people were friendly. Come and enjoy!

I had been here over a year ago, and forgot how good it was. So I am glad we were in the area again and happened by :) The Wagyu burger was incredible- had so much flavor and just melted in my mouth! The fried chicken was also delicious. And as a bonus, they have great deviled eggs! I will not forget about this place again, lol.

Really excellent place to come!Notable mentions:- the coffee was surprisingly good, a 7.8 flat white served up!- the Key Line Donut 🍩 was the best dish we had, great softness and flavour to sweetness ratio! The other dishes were good but not great.- Fried Chicken crust was too crunchy and fell off the meat easily- the deviled eggs were perfectly average- the frittata was good but had too much cheese and not enough crusting

  • Review 6 (2024-05-10 - Rating: 5)

If a place can make an impression with just salt and pepper fries, you know that place would be special. We had just a lovely time at this place. The place has classic fine-dining ambience. We highly recommend the hot fried chicken as well as the spring pea ravioli with ricotta. My wife ordered the chamomile highball which she thought was excellent. The staff was excellent and expect top notch service!

  • Review 7 (2024-04-13 - Rating: 4)

I hate to admit but I had three glasses of the hot tin roof. My oh my it was refreshing and delicious. I couldn’t stop myself from only ordering one. It was my first time here and I was really looking forward to the fried chicken. I’m disappointed to say it didn’t leave me wanting more. The chicken was under seasoned. The crispness of the chicken was great. The seasoning wasn’t it. My friend felt she had better chicken from Popeyes and that’s upsetting. For $44, I had the steak and the kimchi fried rice. When I got the dish, I was appalled to see how small portion the food was. The steak was cooked well but my oh my the amount of food did not match the price. I personally won’t go back again. The service was wonderful and attentive. It sucks the food wasn’t as tasteful as I wish it was. We got the fries which was better than both of the main entrees. Sigh was definitely upset.

Had a wonderful Saturday Brunch at The Dutch. Although the menu was a bit limited everything we had was super delicious. I enjoyed the Avocado Toast and Aperol Spritz.

  • Review 9 (2024-07-26 - Rating: 5)

I’ve been wanting to try The Dutch for a while and decided to go during Restaurant Week to meet with some friends. The experience was exceptional. I’ve been to a restaurant week in other restaurants and in other cities and expected it would be smaller portions but it wasn’t at all. There were 3 of us so we got 1 of each of the appetizers, the tuna was AMAZING. So delicious and fresh. I had the Salmon which had an amazing citrus glaze. And then dessert we had the peach cobbler and cookies and they were delightful and a shockingly large portion, but I didn’t mind one bit. The best part of the meal was our server who unfortunately can’t remember his name, but he was tall, blonde, had a cool long earring on and was so so friendly (so hopefully he reads this). He was so attentive, knowledgeable and honestly one of the best servers I’ve had and deserves to be recognized. Also vibes are awesome inside and out, I would sit outside but NY heat was too much to handle that day. Will 100% be back.

Exceptional Service!I recently ate at The Dutch and had the pleasure of being served by Lisa. From the moment I was seated, she was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The food came out quick and everything was delicious! I highly recommend the restaurant and would definitely request Lisa’s table!

  • Review 11 (2024-02-11 - Rating: 4)

Not bad - the restaurant week menu wasnt too bad. The calamari appetizer (4.5/5) was super good but spicy - the calamari was crispy and light and the sauce was umami packed. The bass was okay (3/5) but it tastes vaguely fishy and the coconut cake (3/5) was average but had strangely broken apart.

We discoverer this place while walking down lower manhattan. We saw a bride on her wedding day wearing her dress and having a meal with the groom and immediately put the place on the list to visit. We were not disappointed at all as we had one of the best experiences. Firstly, the staff are very accommodating from door to table. We were welcomed and they took our luggage to storage and in the dining area they were served with love.We started with the corn bread and it was delicious. For the main course we ordered the burger as we saw a lot of people ordering it and let me tell you, it was one of the best burgers we have ever had. We ordered it medium well and it was cooked perfectly and the ratio of beef/cheese/pickles was perfect. The fries were crunchy and well seasoned and delicious.Enjoy your meal there ☺️

Came in on New Years Day. A party of 6.We ordered the garlic parm and barbecue buffalo, pickles, corn bread. All was great. Our server Lisa was attentive and friendly. We appreciate the service on New Years Day.

  • Review 15 (2023-05-10 - Rating: 5)

Wonderful atmosphere and fantastic food! The Hot chicken isnt hot at all, no spice whatsoever BUT it is EXCELLENT in flavor. The crust stays crisp and the chicken is juicy! The hot sauce on the side is okay. Also not that hot. The 2 honey glazed biscuits that come with it were not that amazing, but they werent bad. I didnt get the coleslaw with it. We did order a side of fries, perfectly crisp!Dessert: the coconut cake was phenomenal! It was a little crumbly-- but the caramel drizzle on top and the cream were a perfect balance. Its definitely big enough to share! The mocktails are also quite delicious!!

  • Review 16 (2023-10-14 - Rating: 5)

Fantastic brunch!! honey butter biscuit is legit homemade and fantastic.. drinks we large .. Bloody Mary was nice and spicy.. but the thing I appreciated the most was the jumbo shrimp cocktail and having a lemon “cheek” .. it is so choice compared to lemon wedges and made me smile .. 5/5 dopes

  • Review 17 (2019-09-14 - Rating: 5)

This place is the perfect example of great food, and customer service. The ambience is nice. Came for brunch. Definitely make a reservation. The staff is well groomed, dressed, polite, and friendly. You’re greeted with a smile and it carries thru the entire staff. Everything was a delight here. I don’t like tomatoes but they’ve made me love it! TOMATO, SQUASH BLOSSOM TEMPURA, RICOTTA

  • Review 18 (2025-01-02 - Rating: 4)

The Dutch is a SoHo staple on the corner of Sullivan and Prince. I went on New Years Day for a late brunch with my amazing date. We started with a half dozen Wellfleet oysters that were briney and delicious. The mignonette sauce was delish but the house made hot sauce stole the show (we’re spice lovers). We had a shrimp salad and the Wagyu burger. Both were delish and the burger was cooked perfectly medium rare. This also has to be worth noting… cue the hot sauce, and bring on the fries! We love fries. Period. They’re always ordered. And anyone living in New York knows how awesome the fries are at Pastis (my personal favorite). Well, these give them a run for their money. They’re thinner and crispier but have such a good flavor. Service was fine, nothing memorable about it, but the fries… they were baller.

  • Review 19 (2024-12-22 - Rating: 5)

The regular brunch items were unappealing for vegetarians but the starters were great. Everything was very well executed.

  • Review 20 (2019-06-26 - Rating: 4)

Great ambiance and food was pretty delicious. Would give it 5 stars - the only reason I’m not is because we ordered the ribs and there was barely any meat, it was entirely fat / dessert was okay. The hot chicken and fried tomatoes were the best part of the meal.

  • Review 21 (2024-09-23 - Rating: 5)

Everything was amazing, specially the food, so delicious 🤤. My meat was in the perfect point!

  • Review 22 (2024-07-07 - Rating: 5)

This place was amazing!!! The food was amazing—the service was even better. We were super well taken care of—they pay a lot of attention to detail. We had multiple people come check in on us, it really is the little things that make this place stand out. Everyone who took care of us was super nice!!I had the burger, my partner has the pork chop—both were delicious. We also ordered the whipped potatoes and the strawberry rhubarb pie and both were to die for.The atmosphere is also super nice, great lighting and decor. Great place for date night or to take a friend!!!I don’t usually post reviews but I felt like I needed to because you HAVE to come here!

  • Review 23 (2018-05-25 - Rating: 5)

The place is always packed and is quite difficult to do a last minute reservation, but the wait is worth it. The food is great, the venue is phenomenal, the location is very practical. The wine list is amazing, the appetizer were delicious and the food is very tasty. I had the duck entree and it was delicious! My wife ordered the ravioli and they were very nice, but the portion of ravioli was quite small. In general I enjoyed the experience and we had a great time there.

  • Review 24 (2021-10-19 - Rating: 4)

Professional service and pleasant atmosphere. Had the $26 burger, it was good but I didn’t think $26 good and too salty. Nice fries. The wines are way overpriced. I know it’s a tough time in the restaurant business but get some decent wine in the $50 range on your list.

  • Review 25 (2022-08-01 - Rating: 4)

Food was Excellent, the ribs were a bit heavy on the salt but the rest was great.Quality is there but not quite up to the price point.Scrambled eggs were surprisingly goodBeverages were on the pricey side. $9 for a small iced coffee is steep.

  • Review 26 (2024-11-20 - Rating: 4)

Really great fried chicken, corn bread, deviled eggs, and cocktails. It was a nice change from a lot of the normal NYC foods. The vibe in the restaurant is really nice and cozy.

My family and I had a birthday dinner. Had a few appetizers and a variety of entrees. Loved the Chicken dish and Asian flavored calamari. Highly recommend!

  • Review 29 (2022-02-13 - Rating: 4)

Came here on Valentine’s Day with my wife, and surprisingly got a good table in the corner that wasn’t packed tight against other tables. I had an old fashioned (no Bulleit bourbon which is my usual go to) and my wife got a vodka gimlet and both were excellent. My wife loved the burger, and I thought the fried chicken was good, not amazing. The real star of the show was the whipped butter that came with the cornbread appetizer! Good vibe overall

  • Review 30 (2024-04-12 - Rating: 4)

Good food and good drinks. The only thing negative was it was very loud and over crowded. (Thats what to expect when you go to a favorite restaurant. )

  • Review 31 (2024-09-18 - Rating: 5)

Best server around! Wish I knew his name to reference - he was the absolute G.O.A.T. - knowledgeable, efficient, excellent rapport, presentable (loved his ruby gold ring on his left hand), just a pleasure to have him as our server...especially during a very stressful lunch meeting. Delicious food! Thank YOU!

  • Review 32 (2023-12-29 - Rating: 5)

We recently celebrated our post-elopement lunch at The Dutch - it was a phenomenal experience! After dining here a few times, we knew we wanted to incorporate the Dutchs amazing food and atmosphere as a part of our big day. Carla and the entire team went above and beyond to make our day feel special, including personalized printed menus, dedicated staff to serve our 12+ guests, custom cake, and a polaroid photo to capture the moment. I cannot recommend The Dutch enough. Thank you to all! We cant wait to be back. :)

  • Review 33 (2017-01-08 - Rating: 5)

Restaurant thats serves great food, staffs are nice and helpful. The cocktails here are yummy, also well balanced in the flavors. The food was prefect, the hanger steak and the Kimchi fried rice was the bomb, seasoned to perfection and well balanced. The fried chicken and biscuit was really good. Overall great food and nice people what else can you ask for.

  • Review 34 (2023-03-22 - Rating: 4)

This place definitely had an inviting ambiance. It was quite busy, so highly recommend making a reservation. We had no issue making one for the following day, despite having 6 in our party. We started off with a bottle of rosé and a couple orders of the scallion chipotle cornbread. The cornbread came out in a tiny cast iron, which I love, but was slightly dry. The butter helped, but you had to lather it on.We ordered various entrees; the hot fried chicken with honey biscuits, the smoked ricotta ravioli, and a couple burgers. The fried chicken had an incredibly crunchy exterior; you could hear them bite into it a mile away. However, I wish it had just a tad more seasoning. The slaw was fine, but could’ve had a little more citrus to brighten it up. The honey biscuits though 🤤 were the best part about that dish. The smoked ricotta ravioli with “moon drop grapes” was phenomenal. I wasn’t sure exactly what those grapes were, but it paired extremely well with the sauce. I would return and specifically order this dish again. The burger and fries were fine, nothing unusually great, but good.Overall, the environment was pleasant, the ravioli was a hit, and they had plenty of wine selections, though only one rosé. If you’re in the neighborhood or looking for a new place to try, this might be worth a visit. The service was great. Overall, I’d rate this place a 3.5, but no half stars, so a 4 it is.

  • Review 37 (2023-01-21 - Rating: 5)

Food was delicious. Loved this winter burrata with butternut squash. The service was impeccable. Our waiter was incredibly professional. My only complaint was that it was very loud. Is it possible to add sound absorbers on the ceiling or wall?

  • Review 38 (2023-02-26 - Rating: 5)

An amazing restaurant ran by the NOHO restaurant group. The layout and aesthetic of the restaurant was fun and very inviting for a brunch setting. Every single staff member was smiling, courteous and professional - you could tell they enjoyed being at work. Our server Carla was extremely sweet and gracious - she gave excellent recommendations on the menu and during my dining experience she was unobtrusive but anticipated the partys every need while juggling other tables. Her service and the support from the rest of the team should be recognized! The food was easily the highlight of the entire experience. I even had the pleasure of speaking to the executive chef, Stefan Kefgen, who took time out of his busy brunch shift to stop by and greet me and my guest. It was a nice surprise. He was an overall genuine and knowledgeable person. You can tell the man really has a passion for his craft and has taken the culinary level of the menu and kitchen up a few notches in the 7 years that he has been employed at the restaurant. The food was delicious. Stefans own BBQ Rib recipe was amazing and the sauce brought an perfecr level heat + sweetness which was balanced out by the house made pickles. The fried chicken speaks for itself and was a hearty portion but is perfect for sharing. The coconut doughnut was a perfect addition to our meal, its sweet and the citrus from the whipped cream balanced everything out - the toasted coconut on top gave great texture.Overall, go to The Dutch and have one of the best brunches you ever will in a nice cozy and inviting atmosphere where the people care about giving you a great experience.

I am very glad that I got to this restaurant. It is so soulful here, the food is so delicious that I want to stay here and live! I highly recommend visiting this place at least once.

  • Review 41 (2024-09-08 - Rating: 4)

Came in for brunch on a Sunday without reservations. I was seated solo promptly. There were plenty of seat options inside and a few outside. The customer service was great. The brunch menu was limited and over priced. I ordered the blueberry flapjacks. They were okay. I also had a cappuccino which was not that great, I didn’t finish it. I would come back to try other things on the menu but I would probably try other places in the area before doing so.

  • Review 42 (2021-11-23 - Rating: 4)

Fantastic spot for brunch. Just get there early before the crowd shows up. Parking was easy or maybe we got lucky even for a sunday. Menu says all organic and it definitely tasted like real food. The cornbread tasted like heaven we had to order another plate. The honey butter biscuits definitely take the biscuits, an absolute must try. Overall was little on the pricy side but can’t overstate everything tasted real. 4 stars only because they had NO CHOCOLATE MILK!! Like who omits that from a menu 😅.

  • Review 43 (2024-09-27 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 48 (2023-07-04 - Rating: 5)

Absolutely delicious, I have been here a few times and not once did I leave unhappy. The main courses are all delicious. I have tried a few desserts and loved them both. Recently tried the sour cherry pie. Crispy shell and delicious cherrys with a side of ice cream. I also had the Poloma alcohol drink. I definitely recommend this restaurant for brunch lunch or dinner.

  • Review 49 (2024-08-23 - Rating: 4)

The Dutch is a very good casual eating place. I enjoyed a deviled egg and a burger, both of which were enjoyable. I look forward to returning and sampling some of their different dishes.

  • Review 50 (2024-12-17 - Rating: 5)

We got all the baked goods: the key lime donut, chipotle cornbread and honey butter biscuits and all were phenomenal! The key lime donut was very lime heavy and delicious. The biscuits were smothered in the butter and not dry at all. The cornbread was delicious and my 2 year old loved it. The waitress was amazing and asked if we wanted a side of avocado for my 2 year old which was great! The ruby grapefruit brûlée is good, but a little hard to eat/cut out. The coconut chia pudding was delicious and light. Wagyu burger was the highlight and super tasty. The chicken and biscuits were really good too, but a little tough with the small bones and crunchy exterior to determine if the crunch was bone versus the breading. All in all a great meal!

  • Review 51 (2024-11-18 - Rating: 5)

Came here for brunch. I highly recommend reservations. We sat outside and the heaters were enough to keep us warm. Price is high, but ABSOLUTELY worth it. Everything that came was delicious. My favorites were the deviled eggs and biscuits. Really enjoyed my mocktail that I think was called viper fang. My only complaint was that service was a touch slow/all over the place, but we did come when it was busy.

  • Review 52 (2024-12-03 - Rating: 5)

If youre going to eat ACs Famous Fried Chicken be sure to have an empty stomach. The chicken was moist and the skin was well seasoned. It got even better when I applied their homemade hot sauce. The cole slaw was flavorful but the honey butter biscuits were the best.

Very friendly down to earth staff, and I beyond appreciate that. Party of 3, we went on a Saturday evening, shared the eggplant dip to start along with their signature margaritas. We all had the fish and chips as our main, light, crispy, crunchy, succulent - yum. I’ve been here before for brunch and shared the chicken and biscuits, pancakes and their burger and fries - everything they make is really mouthwatering. Overall delicious pub grub with “too easy to drink” cocktails. I hope they bring back outdoor dining a la covid…

We had our annual sales team dinner here, and had an exclusive seating set up in the basement of this restaurant. It was a very cozy set up and could easily seat our team of 14 people. We had a great 3-course menu, which included an absolutely delicious Tuna Ceviche in appetizers, and some amazing Hot Fried Chicken (which I would highly recommend if they have it on their regular menu) and Rack of Lamb which was equally delicious.

I recently had the pleasure of having lunch at The Dutch on Sullivan St, and I must say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the friendliest staff who made me feel right at home.Lets start with the appetizers. The Dutch truly knows how to deliver mouthwatering starters that leave you craving for more. The selection of delicious apps had my taste buds dancing with joy. Each bite was packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. From the crispy calamari to the tangy buffalo wings, I couldnt get enough. Now, lets talk about the fresh cornbread. Oh my, it was divine! The warm, fluffy texture combined with the delightful aroma of fresh corn made it an absolute treat. It was the perfect companion to the other dishes I ordered.Speaking of which, the Avocado Toast, Jammy Egg Salad, and Sunflower Romesco were nothing short of perfection. The avocado was perfectly ripe and spread over toasted bread, topped with a delightful medley of fresh ingredients. The jammy egg salad was creamy, tangy, and had just the right amount of seasoning. And the Sunflower Romesco was a delightful surprise—a burst of flavors that added a unique twist to the dish. The presentation of the food was impeccable, and it was evident that the chefs at The Dutch take great pride in their creations. Each dish was beautifully plated, adding to the overall dining experience. The staff at The Dutch deserve a special mention. Not only were they friendly and welcoming, but they also went above and beyond to ensure that I had a memorable dining experience. They were attentive, knowledgeable about the menu.Overall, my visit to The Dutch on Sullivan St was a true culinary delight. The combination of friendly staff, delicious appetizers, fresh cornbread, and the mouthwatering Avocado Toast, Jammy Egg Salad, and Sunflower Romesco made it a dining experience I wont soon forget. I highly recommend The Dutch to anyone looking for an unforgettable meal in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

They surprisingly know their fried chicken so well, it was absolutely delicious. Their lobster frittata was also good. But the fried chicken with their biscuits was definitely the highlight. The service is also great, friendly, patient, and attentive. While you sit in a good ambiance. I highly recommend this place for brunch.

Multiple dining spaces in the front and back set up intimate moments. Windows all around bring in plenty of natural light. Nice touches to the furniture and decor create a comfortable and cozy atmisphere. Food is perfectly scrumptious, and never a disappointment. A wonderful weekend brunch!

Two words... FRIED CHICKEN! Omg, the chicken with honey biscuit is amazing. It comes with a unique tasting coleslaw that I loved. Overall nice ambiance with a decent wine list. Perfect for a date night or night out with friends.

When i tell you that the cornmeal flapjacks with blueberry syrup and salted butter were nothing short of amazing it’s only because I can’t think of a better way to describe them. I LOVE pancakes and wanted to try something different. My waitress Elle (whom shares the same spelling of her name as my niece) was very nice and attentive. I also ordered a side of bacon and eggs. My only complaint is that I live in Scottsdale, AZ and cannot eat here regularly.

Good food and service. Reservations needed for sure. A regular brunch stop on our NYC visits. Not a large menu but there is something for everyone. Drinks run around $18 but for Soho its reasonable for an upscale eatery.

Great service, excellent food and a very comfortable environment. I ordered the grass fed double chedder burger and it did not disappoint. My wife asked for it well but it was still medium. The fries were also great, crispy and very tasty and the ice tea was top notch. Its not cheap but its worth every penny if your looking to treat yourself.

Sit outside. The people watching is great. Order the cheeseburger, it’s actually good. Trust me, I eat at least 3 burgers a week. Also the Bloody Mary comes in a fun/interesting glass in the shape of a fish. The pancakes are also good.

This is one of my favorite go-to places while shopping in SoHo. In the winter it feels especially cozy and welcoming. Service and food are great (most recently Reed was really exceptional). Always a good food and plenty of Gluten Free options. They are knowledgeable and accommodating of my gluten allergy.

  • Review 91 (2018-04-16 - Rating: 4)

Great cocktails, really good comfort food, trendy, and *pricey*.The cocktails are great - really. They change with the times, and the quality is usually very very high. So yeah, worth it for the cocktails. The food is new american comfort food, but hipster-y, basically with a twist in one form or the other. So, youll get stellar steak, with kimchee-fried rice, or grilled halibut with rice noodles served bun-cha style, or fried-chicken korean-style - you get the point. The place is very much a see and be seen kinda joint, where all the beautiful people go. That said, there is no snobbishness, theyre always friendly, and happy to see you there. The only downside - the prices are up there. If it was around 20% less expensive, Id be there all the time...

  • Review 92 (2016-12-18 - Rating: 5)

Great place for brunch. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, and great food in a buzzy atmosphere. I had the fried chicken with biscuits which was excellent, the chicken was moist but not at all greasy with a lightly spiced and super crispy topping. Bloody Mary was good but could have been better. Overall really good.

  • Review 93 (2022-07-14 - Rating: 4)

Standard fare eclectic gastropub food thats more expensive than it should be, but its New York. Ambiance is relaxed and lowkey, waitstaff are attentive and helpful, and the cocktails are solid. I went there with coworkers, and thats what everyone else in the crowd looked like. But what can I say? Its New York.

Our server Reed, was attentive and made my daughters and I feel so comfortable. My eldest even inquired if he had kids! Alas he didn’t but he was a mentor for the Big Brother program. Now to the food! Deviled eggs, scallion corn bread, fried chicken, french fries and ceviche is what we feasted on. It was a lot of food, had plenty to take home to the husband. The food was delicious and flavorful. The ambience and service were top notch and welcoming to be with kids under 12. Both of my girls kept saying “They are so nice here!” Will definitely go again.

Tasty!!! great spot for brunch. Lots of tables inside you cannot see because they have a HUGE back room. We love that room. Food is great. Had the pancakes which are cornmeal. Very good. Breakfast sandwich is good too. Best item was the ribs, very good fall off the bone with sweet and slightly spicy sauce. Tart dessert was good, the biscuits are great too. We didnt book a restaurant for New Year, and we saw this beautiful place. The host lady was super nice, professional, and beautiful. She helped to find available spots, so we were on the bar. The atmosphere is really amazing. The serving guy was very nice to us, explained everything. We celebrated New Year with the whole restaurant and were very happy! For sure, well come back very soon!

The reason we decided to stay was our server , Amanda was so extremely sweet and accommodating that we knew we would have a fabulous dinner. The food came out perfectly timed and beyond expectations. We’ve been going to The Dutch for many years and have always admired how consistently delicious everything was - but no more. Sadly, the quality of the food has gone down significantly. The ceviche lacked in flavor. Avocado toast was literally charred (not in a good way). But, worst of all, the hanger steak with kimchi fried rice - the all time staple of The Dutch brunch - is now no longer on the menu. What a disappointment.

  • Review 111 (2019-02-23 - Rating: 4)

Good atmosphere. Tasty $17 cocktails and complementary bread. Eggplant dip was decent. Overall good but overpriced.

  • Review 112 (2023-09-17 - Rating: 5)

We came here from the UK on our first trip to New York after a friend recommended it to us. The food was incredible, I had the bass and it was really tasty and well balanced. The oysters were delicious, as was the cornbread, my partner had the fried chicken and it was a really generous portion. All of the staff were really friendly and accommodating. We went on a Saturday night so prime time, we were seated straight away, a bustling atmosphere so perfect if youre wanting a lively vibe. My only caveat is it would be great if there were slightly cheaper options for wine, it was $18 per glass minimum so ended up being $36 for two medium sized glasses which felt a bit much. But still it was some of the tastiest food ive ever had and felt like the real deal. Would definitely recommend.

  • Review 115 (2023-12-24 - Rating: 5)

The atmosphere and food were fantastic but the service was a bit shaky. It was busy, but not busy enough to warrant our water forgetting about us...then changing to a new waiter without telling us...all the while our simple black coffees took 20 minutes to come out. Too expensive a menu for that type of service, guys.

Our initial table for two was next to a table of 6 very loud men. The host happily moved us to the oyster bar. The service was amazing! The Duck meatloaf.. the absolute bomb! So much flavour! Should stay on the menu! It’s on our must return to list! Five stars all round!

  • Review 121 (2024-10-30 - Rating: 5)

The food here is great, but I had to write a review because the service we received was incredible! Our server responded right away when one of our party had a small complaint about a dish, replacing it while bringing complimentary cocktails and later desserts. When we asked for bread for dipping, they brought us an off-menu and really amazing loaf that was exactly what we were looking for. They really care about giving patrons a quality experience.

A really good spot for a hearty and tasty meal. It’s the perfect spot to catch up with a good mate, or meet a small group of friends. Lovely cocktails, a great range of wines and beers, and the food is truly delicious. The portions are quite large without being over the top, and the quality is sensational. I can highly recommend the corn bread, and the fried chicken. The staff were helpful and inviting, and overall has a wonderful ambience and is clearly popular!

Went for brunch on a beautiful Saturday morning.Located in a corner of intersection with large windows where you can people watch.Plenty of seating options including bar and patio. Reservation online recommended.Menu is basic but fresh ingredients.Service was fast, but some members of staff were dry.We arrived earlier than our time and we were asked to come back when they are open, which was 10 minute....I didnt see that very welcoming. They could have seated us outside in the patio while they get their things ready.

The lobster roll was bursting with flavor, but I was let down by the scarcity of lobster meat inside. Despite a few pieces adorning the top of the bun, the lack of lobster within left much to be desired, especially given the price point.

  • Review 132 (2023-05-13 - Rating: 4)

Nice vibey option in soho.Big fan of the chocolate pudding with peanut brittle and apple pie desserts. The bass was fine - nothing special. The sweet tea chicken had nice flavor with the beans. The winner at the table seemed to be the fried chicken & biscuits (I’d go back to try it!).

The oysters are simply superb - fresh, plump, and brimming with flavor. Their pressed juices are incredibly refreshing and provide a nice balance to the meal. Service is top-notch - friendly, attentive, and really enhances the dining experience. Dont miss out on their shishito side dish, its a flavor-packed treat!

  • Review 138 (2023-11-23 - Rating: 4)

Highlights- ambience, service, fried chicken and biscuits, apple pieCons- 1.When you are paying $15 for mashed potatoes, you expect that it has been properly whipped and not overly whipped to the point of being almost glue-like. Ive had many types of mashed potatoes from all sorts of different establishments. There is a difference between properly whipped and overlywhipped. If it werent for the exorbitant price tag, I would have overlooked the issue.2. Kimchi hanger steak fried rice was fine, but certainly not worth $44.

The Dutch is a fantastic go-to. We first visited during the blizzard a few years back when we got stuck in NYC. Quickly became our spot, mostly due to the fantastic wine selection they had, and very knowledgeable staff. For this visit, our server Adriana was fantastic! She had great recommendations and was extremely pleasant. We had a seat right on the sidewalk, which I understand is new to NYC, but reminds me of Paris and it is very charming. (This is our first trip here in almost 5 years) Thank you to all The Dutch staff members!

Ate at 5pm on a Saturday. It was pretty quiet. The service was great.Ordered an 8oz steak with the green peppercorn sauce that I wanted cooked Medium Rare. It ended up coming to the table very rare. The green peppercorn sauce was amazing, though. My partner ordered the famous fried chicken, which seems to be overrated as it was just some decent fried chicken that was a little dry.Overall, I would recommend the restaurant as it couldve been an off-night for the steak. Ill come back another time to try the food and maybe another dish.

  • Review 144 (2023-12-23 - Rating: 5)

We had the earliest dinner reservation possible. The very friendly host staff suggested we go have a drink at the bar since we were 15 mins early and Im assuming no server available. We did, drink was great, we went back to the host stand and they checked our coats for us and sat us. A manager quickly introduced himself and offered us water since we already had bar drinks. Our server came shortly after and we already decided what we wanted. Duck buns and tuna. Both were delicious but I especially liked the tuna.I got the fried chicken and my wife got the mezze plate. We also ordered a side of fries. That chicken was perfect! Crispy/spicy but also juicy. It comes with two honey biscuits which were also good. We had a great experience overall. We didnt do desert. I forgot to take entree photos.

  • Review 146 (2021-11-17 - Rating: 4)

Great place for brunch, especially with a group. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating is a little crammed but still fine. They usually have plenty of reservation availability online a few days before, and is in a nice location in soho. Breakfast sandwich and omelette are tasty options that never disappoint, and I recommend getting the biscuits for the table. Service is friendly and efficient. One drawback is that they don’t have espresso based drinks, only coffee.

This classic brunch spot serves up both hearty and healthy dishes, solid drinks, and a wonderful atmosphere to catch up with friends. Tables can be hard to come by without a reservation, but the hostess staff is honest and does everything possible to have you seated quickly. A wonderful brunch experience that is consistently reliable. Great for casual business conversations as well. Highly recommended!

This place was really good. The pancakes have a unique flavor since they’re made from corn meal and were super super delicious. The avocado Milanese was alright, wouldn’t order it again. Key lime doughnut was the perfect balance of sweet and tart and the fries...they’re fries look at them. Ambiance was v nice too the restaurant is big on the inside and they have nice outdoor dining.I found this place on Munch (an app that lets you see restaurant reviews from friends instead of strangers) and I’m so glad I did!

  • Review 151 (2022-10-01 - Rating: 4)

Had a reservation for my bf and I today at The Dutch. We started off with drinks which were a classic Margarita and a draft IPA. Both were delicious and margaritas was well made and flavorful. Next we had the little Oyster sandwiches and an Asian Calamari salad/appetizer. Both were also delicious and flavorful. My bf had the grass fed burger which was stacked high and he really enjoyed it. Fries were nice and crispy and well seasoned. I ordered the fried chicken which the Dutch is famous for. The chicken was beautifully presented with wonderful flavorful and crispy skin, the coleslaw and the honey butter biscuits were absolutely amazing! Now the problem started when I took a bite. My chicken was VERY undercooked and rubbery tasting. It didnt fall of the bone and was somewhat pink next to the bone which means it was undercooked. This is very dangerous as raw chicken can cause many intestinal issues and problems. We were deciding on what to do and I promptly called our waitress and informed her of the issue. She was very apologetic and sweet, brought the whole dish back and said they will remake it for me again. During our wait, a man who I think was one of the managers came over and also apologized for the outcome of the dish. Everyone was very understanding and wonderful. The second batch of the dish was perfect. Chicken was falling off the bone and cooked to perfection. They also comped one item off the menu as a courtesy for us. Now why did I take off a star? It seems like many other reviewers mention the chicken being undercooked. For a restaurant that is branding itself as one where this particular dish is highlighted and marketed heavily, Id expect the chef to know how to prepare it flawlessly everytime. Perhaps better training and understanding of how to prepare a signature item should be implemented so guests dont have to send back undercooked poultry. Just a thought. Otherwise everything else was great!

I am so awful with names (and we had at least 3 cocktails each—which were to die for!) but our server was from Guatemala/Queens and absolutely amazing. Such good energy. We got the yellow tail carpaccio, the seafood tower with caviar added, and the waygu burger and salt and pepper fries!! All of it was beyond perfection. There is always one item I just don’t care for on a seafood tower but not this one!!! Thanks so much to the whole crew at The Dutch! Made our last full day in NYC unforgettable. This place was also super chill at 11am on a Saturday. I will say I am a Bloody Mary fanatic but I could leave this one—not bad, just shouldn’t be on any top bloody list of NYC. The gin drink with thyme though..Love!!

Waiters were attentive and the food was great, we got the fried chicken, burger, omelet. Unfortunately, there was a strand of curly human hair that came in the coleslaw of the chicken dish, so I have to knock off a point.

Great spot in Soho. Good quality of the food and amazing choice of small wineries for the wines at the glass.

Fun spot, great food and service. Really nice bar area on the main level and an excellent private dining room on the lower level. Corporate events people should add this one to their list.

Everything was great and tasty except the special chicken that in my opinion was tasting too strong and fatty. The wine was absolutely fabolous. Do not miss the cookies for dessert. Great place.

We had a wonderful night at the Dutch with family & friends. It’s hard to find a place in NYC that can accommodate a group of 10. The Dutch did a wonderful job on service. The food was delicious!
