    Good people, prices and drinks. A place where people care, especially if you get to know the regulars and the bartenders.     As another British Gentleman “across the pond”, this is very close to a pub from the motherland. Solid drinks and good vibes! Ignore that Super Bowl reviewer ‘Fran Kaufmann’, you shouldn’t have superbowl in a pub. Go and get yourself a pint!

    Not a “dive bar” as described by earlier reviews. It has more of a nice pub vibe.No food, but you can bring in outside food. No happy hour.Would be a chill spot for a dim lit drink with friends but has only two tv’s in this small space so it’s not quite a sports bar either. Definitely a favorited bar by locals and friends and the atmosphere is cozy and pubby. Decent place to grab a Guinness.

    Pros - very very cheap drinks for Manhattan. We are talking about vodka sodas for $7 and wine for $3. Great location. Good for large groups. Cons - $10 credit card minimum. No ambiance (you won’t get it with such low prices). Overall a fun hole on the wall this of place

    This place should be landmarked! A Village institution. Awesome bar. Just a huge sprawling interior with booths and tables and window seats. Outdoor seating too. Two little TVs and one big personality!This place has the best vibe. Its fun, its loud, bartenders and barbacks are awesome. Its like family here.     Dive bar 101. This place is great. Located in the heat of The Village. Good people, good atmosphere and best of all good drinks! The bartenders are the best! Booths, tables and a couple of videogames in the back. Two bathrooms to boot! Drinks are reasonable and you always get a good pour.

    Long-time neighborhood dive bar in the West Village. I have gone here every now and then for 8 years or so. The place never really changed and thats the huge appeal to it. The guys behind the bar are nice neighborhood guys. Come here for a happy hour or two... or late nights.

Ive had 4 Guinness while completing my raids on Diablo Immortal. Dont cause drama please everyone is chill.Oh! Did I mention it is BRING YOUR OWN FOOD? So yeah have drinks and bring your take out.The best! Certainly visit.     Ive been a regular here for over a decade. Its like an extension of my apartment: the living room I never had, but with my friends often in residence. I met my girlfriend of 14 years through (though not at) The Liar. Conversations are usually great, people are welcoming, the service is excellent and the Guinness has been voted Best in the City. A pint and a game of Buck Hunter? Check. Discussions of the finer points of astrophysics or the pros and cons of dam building, or music, food, NYC, or anything else? Check. Halloween close to the parade but not obnoxious? Check. A round of connect 4 or other board games? Check mate. A terrible movie of the same name was filmed here, and thank you for not bringing it up.

    I went there in Drag. It was my first time out. As I walked up a customer sported a huge smile and said You look great. What a way to start. She really knocked down my nervous level. The I ended up making a few friends and even the tough guy bouncer would hold a conversation with me without making a face. I know it was hard for him but he did a great job. I fealt very comfortable. The drink were fine.

    I love this bar! My friends and I went over last night (one of many time weve been) after eating at Umami Burger. This is one of those simple bars with a couple TVs showing sports, dark corners, video games, and bartenders who make good, simple drinks. My friends got seasonal beers, and another got a bourbon. I like to keep things simple. I ordered a Dewars with ice, and a Budweiser. I am not afraid to admit I love Budweiser...and Oreo cookies, M&Ms, & Doritos. I dont understand all the craze over artisanal this, and hand crafted that. Microbrew IPA? Blech! Other bars, restaurants, and bearded entrepeneurs should take note - simple can still be good.
