    Upon entering this establishment on a Friday night, the buzz and excitement was immediately tangible. Playing mid 2000’s hits like Mr. Brightside kept the mood light and expectant.This bar-restaurant I imagine would be great for a date night or just fun evening with friends.I ordered the delicious birria tacos and wings. Both were gluten free. Music is a bit loud inside, so had to raise my voice for anyone to hear me. The bartender was very friendly.

    Amazing bar with fantastic food and staff! My friends wanted to start off and welcome my birthday by doing Happy Hour+ Birthday Eve dinner and drinks and this was our first stop for the night.I booked through Resy and I spoke to Nelson on the phone who made sure we would get a really nice table and will also ensure that my pregnant friend will have mocktails the day of. Nelson and the team really delivered! Upon getting there they showed me this cozy private table near the bar but also gave me the option to check another area, how nice of them honestly! The private spot had dimmable lighting too, loved that. Awesome Happy Hour drink selections and prices were up to $8 for wine, one of the better deals here in NYC. The food was something else as well. The sliders were a big hit, the Buffalo wings and chicken tenders were really good and my friends loved the nachos as well. I think we stayed on later than we planned because we honestly loved it there and wouldnt have moved if we didnt have other set plans.Overall, would absolutely love to come back! Thanks so much Nelson and Team for the amazing service and experience there. We hope to see you guys again soon! Thanks for making it a fantastic birthday eve celebration! :)

    Finally a great new Michigan football bar. Such fun energy and they have a back room all set up with three TVs and volume on. Good drink deals too!

    Great spot to grab a nice drink and chill. Staff is friendly, atmosphere is clean and the drinks were really good. We didn’t get any food as we already ate before. Wouldn’t mind coming back!

    I came to this spot on Saturday for Happy Hour, yes you read that correctly Saturday Happy Hour from 4-8, it includes $5 drafts, $5 old fashions and I think there was a wine special as well. So we got some beers and a few fish tacos, the tacos were $12 and tasty. This wouldnt be my go to taco spot in the East Village but they were very good and reasonably priced. The service was good too but nothing special, definitely give this place a try.

    Been here multiple times. Usually for happy hour. Always a great time. Bartenders are friendly and make sure your drink is full. Drinks are tasty and the chicken tenders are my favorite! Super crispy and made in house. The rest of the menu is good too, perfect munchie food.

    This was my first time at the Gray Mare. I really enjoyed myself. The bartenders and wait staff were all polite. I also had the famous Brussels sprouts and Mac and cheese. They were both really good. I went for happy hour so my wallet appreciated this place as well.

    The food is awesome, (do yourself a favor and get the buffalo cauliflower and artichoke dip!) drinks are great and the bartenders are phenomenal. Ive had Dylan and Brian and both were absolutely lovely and made the atmosphere even better than it already was. Plus, they have outdoor seating and the prices are super fair for LES.

    Chill place for Happy Hour drinks and bites from 3pm I think til 8pm , Monday to Friday. The Calamari is really a large portion for an appetizer and definitely enough to share . Ask for some ketchup and salt and pepper on the side . They have $5 Buffalo Cauliflower that was okThe Happy Hour drinks are fine. Dim light and wood interior on 2nd Avenue. Staff are nice too.

    Great service, relaxed atmosphere, awesome happy hour deals. Had the really good Too Mean To Die cocktail, also the $6 Jacks Abby Amber is a fantastic deal. Chicken fingers were freshly made with a tasty honey mustard dipping sauce. Would definitely recommend for a laid-back happy hour in the East Village

    This is a regular spot of ours and it’s so great, i almost don’t want people to find out about it! $7 Old Fashions on tap all the time. Lots of TVs to catch any of the games and the foods not bad either (not 11/10 food imo, but pretty good for the type of bar vibe & the price in NY)

    Went for some late night drinks with the girls and had a great time! It was quiet on a Sunday late at night. We ordered basic drinks but they were good and not overpriced! The bartender treated us very well all night, which we all appreciated as we all work in the industry. Ill be back with my husband to try the food too!

    One of my favorite things to do in New York is walk in some random direction and camp out at the first bar that suits your taste. My buddies and I dropped by the Gray Mare on a Sunday afternoon and were glad we did.The cozy, quiet (for a bar) environment let us settle in for good conversation and day-drinking. There was a good selection of beer on tap, including Founders Porter and the cocktails were well crafted, too. Our bartender knew how to take care of us.After a few hours of stunning and talking, we ordered burgers and nachos. Typical bar fare, but definitely on the tastier side of that youd expect from a local watering hole.The vibe might be different other nights of the week, but it was perfect for a chill Sunday. Ill definitely drop in next time Im in the neighborhood.

    Really awesome spot. Perfect balance of all you need - ambiance, class, cleanliness, good music/service/food. Truly one of my favorite bars in NYC, my go-to in the East Village! Definitely go. And Happy Hour is a true steal.

    A fun place to meet friends, and have fun. The bartenders are fast, friendly and know what going on. The crowd is sociable too and many tall tables to gather around. It is a standing party . Appetizers have some healthy options too. The brussel sprouts and cauliflower are delicious. They also have burgers. Pick up your spirit and smile there. Ive been there a few times. Enjoy.

    This has quickly become my favorite spot in the east village. The staff are always super friendly and they have one of the best happy hours around....way beyond your typical $5 draft beer. They have a $5 Old fashioned and the happy hour runs right through the weekend also 😀. Also the fried chicken sandwich is sooo good.

    Enjoyed my time here other then I was told that the outside server started at 5pm and I was never asked for anything/had to either go inside or track down the person. Enjoyed the happy hour prices but wish they were the same as pre covid.

    My girlfriend and I just had dinner here and it was great! Honestly the food was super good. The waiter was super nice and overall the vibe was perfect, not too much people which is great when you want some quality time with your loved ones. Also very nice decoration with a dim lighting.     Fantastic bar in the East Village - the $8 Old Fashions are unbeatable; but other drinks are reasonably priced, too ($9 for a Negroni, $11 for an Espresso Martini or Aperol Spritz). Food was great & our waitress was very attentive. I’ll be back to try their Bottomless Brunch :)

    Absolutely awesome!! We cannot say enough about the place....and the staff!! Dropped in Sunday morning for the World Cup Final and so happy they were open. Had planned to only watch the first half, but the bartenders were so terrific and pleasant (and the wings were outstanding!) that we elected to stay for the remainder of the match. SO glad we did!!! Well be back again next time were in the City.
