    Cheap draft beer all day $3. Cute barmaid. Old drunks at the bar. Very retro. Not a family place at all.Its old school East Village.The world needs dive bars. They serve a function, and theyre great if you just have to get drunk during daylight hours.In a place like this no one will notice.

    Always have had a good time when visiting the HorseBox. Bartender Josh was awesome and can answer just about any question involving drinking in the city. D-bags may role through occasionally for cheap drinks, but the vibe is still welcoming and fun regardless. Josh knows how to sort em out when they try to snag your drink or they fall asleep sitting up LOL. Definitely good people, and a place I will always visit at least once whenever in NYC.

    Very friendly barkeeps. Nice atmosphere. Pretty loud on a weekend but decent music. Fun. Good amount of bar stools. A little small but cozy.

    Great little bar on the east side. The service is great and even if its crowded, you wont have a problem getting to the bar for drinks. They have darts and a couple other games in the front, and a few TVs that usually have sports on. Drinks are pretty inexpensive, and they have a special or two most days so you dont have to break the bank to have some fun.

    Randomly stumbled upon this place a few years back and walked in. So glad we did! Its a cozy little bar with super friendly bartenders. They have a beer and shot combo which pleases the masses. This is a great chill, pregame type bar that I love!

    The HorseBox is a fun neighborhood bar where you can stop in for happy hour, catch up with friends and chat with the friendly bartenders. The atmosphere is relaxed and laid back and theres a number of flat screen TVs over the bar so you can catch the game. Happy hour here is great (beers are $3), but it can get crowded during big sports events and at night on the weekends.
