The food was very good, meal came out hot. Coconut shrimp appetizer was tasty. Service was friendly and prompt. Nice small venue, which allows you to really enjoy the show. I would definitely go back.

  • Review 2 (2024-09-19 - Rating: 5)

This jewel box of a spot is great for intimate music appreciation. The drinks 10 of 10. The hummus platter, a 6 but the shrimp and burgers looked great

  • Review 3 (2024-10-12 - Rating: 5)

Was there for the second of three nights for Richie Kotzen. Did the sound check and meet. For a small place, there shouldnt be a need for much amplification. There are some spots on and near the stage where you only get the benefit of one or two instruments and sometimes the vocals. Next time I will sit toward the center back. It was a great show and to my surprise, the food was excellent. Service was good, but before you pay, inspect your check. Gratuity is included, so be careful not to over tip. I intend to come back for future events. Also, when waiting out front you will be repeatedly asked if you are in line for the diner that is upstairs from the club (which is in the basement).

  • Review 4 (2024-08-10 - Rating: 5)

Great service in this classic cabaret space. Didnt try the food but the cocktails were top notch.

  • Review 5 (2024-02-22 - Rating: 4)

Fun, underground jazz bar with changing acts throughout the week.Seating is mixed between long, shared tables and individual, round ones - so be prepared for the possibility of sharing. The pianist who played the night we went was exceptional and stole the show.

  • Review 6 (2024-10-25 - Rating: 5)

I was here once before to see my dear friends Total Mass Retain and again tonight. Although I didnt have food the music venue and drink service was awesome. I will probably try some food tonight but either way this is a great place with a great staff .

  • Review 7 (2024-09-01 - Rating: 5)

Walter Trout’s show was so good last night! Great sound that felt like a personal show. The Iridium is a perfect venue.

  • Review 8 (2024-05-13 - Rating: 5)

Fantastic venue. Intimate setting, friendly staff, and an amazing band (James Hunter 6).

  • Review 9 (2024-10-19 - Rating: 5)

Cozy cellar venue. Good sound and sight lines. Nice staff. We had IPAs only but the menu and dishes around us looked yummy. Duke Robillard and his band were very entertaining.

  • Review 10 (2024-06-20 - Rating: 5)

Ive been to The Iridium a few times. There is always a great show, great food and drinks too. Today we went to see The String Revolution; a Grammy Award winning guitar group. Absolutely phenomenal show. Good time, good food, good drinks.

  • Review 11 (2023-09-29 - Rating: 5)

Love iridium. Best jazz club NYC. Zach Brock concert wonderful. Sound was balanced, drinks great, and the intimate warm atmosphere enhanced by seeing Zachs enthusiastic family. A friendly charming and musically satisfying evening. Zach btw super talented jazz violinist with an obvious classical music background. Bass and drums respectful and creative.

  • Review 12 (2024-12-10 - Rating: 5)

Small cozy hidden (literally) gem took me a while to find it. Saw friend Gary Hoey perform his holiday show.

  • Review 13 (2018-03-03 - Rating: 4)

Amazing place, legendary. The ambiance is so real, the music amazing, service was good, friendly, fast. Burgers we very tasty but a bit cold. I don’t like the put gratuity in the bill.

  • Review 14 (2024-08-22 - Rating: 5)

Absolutely an amazing place , great sound system, very intimate, and good drinks

  • Review 15 (2018-10-09 - Rating: 5)

Always will be my favorite place. I come here a lot, especially to see “Alex Skolnick” from the band Testament play here with his jazz band “Alex Skolnick Trio”

  • Review 16 (2024-04-04 - Rating: 5)

An intimate and modest venue to see some amazing and brilliant music stars! I went to see Eric Krasno Trio and loved the sound quality and performance. The food menu may not be quite vegetarian friendly, but there are some good options for drinks. I wish the seating arrangement was different and was not perpendicular to the stage; hard on your neck if youre on a wrong angle. Plus, youll be almost hugging the person sitting beside you as the tables are extremely narrow.

  • Review 17 (2022-04-24 - Rating: 5)

Toom my wife out to see Jazz guitarist Stanley Jordan The Iridium is a great place to see live music Had a wonderful time at this show

  • Review 18 (2022-09-11 - Rating: 5)

While on holiday, we were checking out what concerts we could enjoy and voilà! Richie Kotzen 🥰 and we also met the amazing musician Julia Lage! Great place and music 🎶

  • Review 19 (2023-05-10 - Rating: 5)

Great venue for live Blues. Service was pretty good considering the small space and how crowded it was. We have the calamari which was very good and fish and chips, also good. Drinks are about average for New York City in terms of pricing. If you want to get out and see some good live Blues this is the place to go. Join their newsletter or get on their email for updates and youll be sure to catch some great shows.

  • Review 20 (2022-07-02 - Rating: 5)

What an amazing place to see a show... great staff and service. Food is good and the drinks are even better...love this place

  • Review 21 (2022-05-03 - Rating: 5)

Stanley Jordan was great! 51 st & Broadway the sign is small. Please GPS the food is great but, expensive! One of the best Jazz Clubs in the USA & NYC. Joe the manager was great!

  • Review 22 (2024-11-30 - Rating: 5)

Super good sit down music venue. You pay the ticket price and then can order food and alcohol at normal food prices. We only had a tuna appetizer but it was very good, large portion and not that expensive. Plus Torch and Crown Almost Famous at 9$ pint.

  • Review 23 (2018-12-09 - Rating: 5)

Very musically incredible, historical venue. Great appearance for the music minded. Very good cusine, and very courteous staff.Music isnt over bearing and very hearable.

  • Review 24 (2023-11-20 - Rating: 5)

Classic venue for music in intimate setting. Waitstaff attentive without being a distraction. Food was pretty good (you need malt vinegar for fish and chips you heathens). Prices fair for drinks and food. If your favorite artist is booked here by all means go.

  • Review 25 (2019-06-10 - Rating: 5)

Loved the atmosphere! We had a great experience at drag brunch.

  • Review 26 (2020-03-12 - Rating: 5)

Great venue, my 2nd time visiting. I listened to an artist named Lindsey Webster. She was awesome.

  • Review 27 (2020-01-30 - Rating: 4)

Nice sound, friendly staff. They really pack you in, and some of the seats face away from the stage...I had a crick in my neck not long into the show from twisting around to see.

  • Review 28 (2020-01-14 - Rating: 5)

Great show, easy to wat h. Layout and the size was good. Rockapella show was really entertaining. Great location.

  • Review 29 (2022-06-04 - Rating: 4)

Excellent venue for up close and personal live music! As a gluten free vegetarian the food options were not the best.....

  • Review 30 (2019-12-26 - Rating: 4)

Great venue, horrible non alcoholic beer, great artists, wait staff friendly. Not a great vegan menu.

  • Review 31 (2023-12-10 - Rating: 5)

OMG what a great time we had! I highly recommend it! The place was perfect and the seating was not bad at all!

  • Review 32 (2024-12-10 - Rating: 5)

I always have a great time at the Iridium. Nice venue to go to. Five stars

  • Review 33 (2023-01-21 - Rating: 5)

Greatest small venue in all of NYC!!! intimate setting. You almost feel like youre in your basement!! Lol. The musicians that play there are top notch. The staff are friendly and chill. The history of the place is amazing, Les Paul held a residency for years. If you have never been there, I highly suggest trying a show, and let me know how you like it. Last of its kind in NYC

  • Review 34 (2024-01-25 - Rating: 4)

Show was fantastic, venue holds 180 people and they really pack you in tight!Food and drinks were amazing.

  • Review 35 (2024-06-02 - Rating: 5)

Great music, very friendly staff provide excellent service. The food was better than I expected.

  • Review 36 (2022-04-09 - Rating: 5)

It was a great night of music as Chief Ba Ba Neil Clarke headlined for the first time!

  • Review 37 (2023-06-12 - Rating: 4)

Only note - for the love of all that is holy your venue is not large enough to mic up every drum on the kit.Was in the back and still was very thankful for ear-plugs - the snare was literally cutting through every-other sound of the band.

  • Review 38 (2023-10-03 - Rating: 4)

Great spot for pizza pie. Its crisp thin Legendary NYC pizza, tasty sauce, right amount of cheese, with a crispy crust. Classic toppings galore like when you were a kid growing up in the old neighborhood. Its not a slice house pies only and classic pizza parlor fare. Come hungry!

  • Review 39 (2023-09-15 - Rating: 4)

Excellent place for a show and drinks with friends. See legends of Blues and up and comers, along with a host of talented musicians, play and share their stories. Get up close in this small venue.I have been going here since it was an upper west side location, and now they have been in midtown for the past 10+ years. The only downside is that their food menu used to be more exlectic and a bit better overall for nice dinner theatre experience, but the burgers are still decent. Highly recommend for music and drinks, however. Enjoy!

  • Review 40 (2023-03-28 - Rating: 5)

This is a great place to see a band, a little cramped, but not a bad seat in the house

  • Review 41 (2019-09-23 - Rating: 5)

Great staff. Good sound system. Small but fun

  • Review 42 (2022-03-22 - Rating: 5)

Plainly and simply the best blues place in Manhattan. Great food, for all budgets, and large selections of drinks at a reasonable price for Timesquare. The programming is just outstanding. The sound quality is astonishing and really transfers the vibe of live performance to the audience. Finally the staff goes the extra mile to please the patrons which is not so common in such places , and seating is quite comfortable (it’s miles above the BN for example).Go and visit them you won’t be disappointed and they really deserve your business.

  • Review 43 (2024-08-27 - Rating: 4)

The vibe and the performance were excellent, and so were the cocktails. However, the food was not up to the mark. Also, there are barely any vegetarian and vegan options, and the server was completely unaware. Still, the performance more than made up for it. Had an amazing evening.

  • Review 44 (2022-10-06 - Rating: 5)

Great little underground (its in the basement) club in the general Times Square area. Definitely on the small and intimate side, floor seating at tables school cafeteria style is pretty close quarters, but not a bad seat in the place sightlines-wise. Food and drink are NYC prices. Entertainment and sound are first rate for the couple shows Ive been to.

  • Review 45 (2020-01-19 - Rating: 5)

This place is low-key but excellent. The food is delicious, and the tributes to Les Paul and numerous other big names are everywhere. We saw Albert Lee and he rocked the house, easily the best part of our trip.

  • Review 46 (2023-04-14 - Rating: 5)

Shhhh dont tell anyone about this place because its a great place to see a show.

  • Review 47 (2024-08-14 - Rating: 5)

Small club with. Very good sound. They serve food and drinks. I didnt eat there but the drinks and service was efficient and friendly. Cant wait to go back

  • Review 48 (2018-12-11 - Rating: 5)

Jazz show one of the best I have seen. The musicians so tight and famous. Food excellent. After the show many current and past famous people mingled with the audience sharing jokes and experiences. In Berlin at Atrane on a Monday night was a similar experience. You must visit and enjoy.

  • Review 49 (2020-01-25 - Rating: 5)

Excellent experience. Very nice place to disconnect from all the rush outside and enter the wonderful world of jazz. Very good service even if the place was crowded.

  • Review 50 (2018-01-04 - Rating: 4)

I visite this place once for an event not for Music etc and the food was Delicious. Service by the employees was decent

  • Review 51 (2018-04-25 - Rating: 5)

The performers were excellent singers. They performed well for me and the large group I came with. The environment was very comfortable and nice. Some of the food was under seasoned, but the fries were exquisite.

  • Review 52 (2018-02-08 - Rating: 5)

Really should give it 4 stars, but I had to bump it up just because of all the other negative reviews. My girlfriend got me tickets to a Jaimoe show for Christmas and we both got worried reading the other reviews, but its a nice little basement under the Stardust diner that is a great place to see some live music. For a more crowded show, it may be worth getting the preferred tickets because there are some odd site lines, but we got there maybe 15 minutes early and were able to get a table with an amazing view of the stage sitting just above the lower level. The complaints about drink prices really leaves me dumbfounded because youre not going to find anything better in that area or really most of Manhattan and western Brooklyn. Service was also fine. It took a minute to get the check at the end of the night, but other than that they were nice and attentive.Dont believe the negative reviews, this place really is a hidden (literally) gem

  • Review 53 (2018-09-14 - Rating: 5)

Great view no matter where you sit. My margaritas were strong, just the way I like them. Beautiful collection of memorabilia from many guitar greats! Go see a show!

  • Review 54 (2023-10-05 - Rating: 5)

Fantastic club , great music top acts & delicious food.Be aware that the Iridium is UNDER Ellens Stardust Diner!

  • Review 55 (2018-11-01 - Rating: 4)

Have been there many, many times. Change in ownership in recent years has resulted in disappointing calendar imo. Food always good, venue is small and ideal if you can find an act you like. Sound quality top notch.

  • Review 56 (2023-03-03 - Rating: 5)

Just saw Mark Lettieri on March 1st, great venue for live music, good sound conditions and a very intimate setting. Crew is very friendly, highly recommend!

  • Review 57 (2020-01-14 - Rating: 5)

Great place. Amazing food. Amazing night of Sharon Klein Productions particularly Boys of the Bandstand. They were absolutely amazing had the whole house rocking hope that they are permanent member of the iridium. Great time

  • Review 58 (2019-09-30 - Rating: 4)

Beautiful show by Bilal and his band. The Iridium is a beautiful place. I loved the vibe. The server that waited on me and my companion was very polite. However, one staff member was rude when we wanted service for drinks and a bite to eat. She could had said that she isnt servicing the area we was in and shown us our waiter. Also, the bill is ridiculous for two glasses of wine ,two beers , a ceasar salad with chicken added and coconut shrimp . Overall, I had a wonderful experience and will recommend this place for great entertainment and a beautiful atmosphere. All the food & drinks where good, to pricey. Its Manhattan I guess.lol

  • Review 59 (2019-01-24 - Rating: 5)

Love this venue. Feels very New York, relaxed. Saw the superb Marilyn Maye there in summer 2018. Going back to see her again in a few weeks. I dont live in NY - am making a special trip - and am so glad to be seeing Ms. Maye at Iridium (she sings all over).

  • Review 60 (2023-07-31 - Rating: 5)

Was fortunate enough to see Les Paul at the old location, and this one works hard to live up to the original vibe. The preferred seating closer to the stage only cost a few dollars more, and it was worth it to see the Blues Beatles (except watching the stage from a sideways view can be hard on the neck!)

  • Review 61 (2018-05-26 - Rating: 5)

Great (historic) little venue where I had the great pleasure of see The Tangiers Blues Band with a special sit-in by John McEnroe. Menu looks great however I didnt eat on this visit but would had I known; I ate on the way there.

  • Review 62 (2023-01-24 - Rating: 5)

Intimate venue for an up close experience

  • Review 63 (2023-05-07 - Rating: 5)

Funky small Blues club thats been around forever - only seats about 100 people. Table service. Highly recommended, A bit hard to find because signage is lacking - hidden gem!

  • Review 64 (2019-11-19 - Rating: 5)

My wife and I , as well as my talented guitarist cousin had the pleasure of seeing Eric Gales this week at the Iridium . Absolutely amazing performance !On top of the great service, and great show ...we had the pleasure or meeting the owner Ron , a true gentleman , who made our experience even better .I cannot say enough about this venue . • Review 71 (2019-08-15 - Rating: 5)

Wonderful intimate space for music. Not a bad seat in the house. Food and drinks a bit pricey as expected, but the flatbread I had was very tasty.

  • Review 72 (2018-04-03 - Rating: 4)

Nice place, ambiance was awesome, directly in time square, 18$ for a good standard burger + a 20$ very basic salad. 25$ per ticket to get it.Waiter service was not extraordinary

  • Review 77 (2018-03-06 - Rating: 5)

Amazing jazz bar! Is mandatory to arrive early in order to get the best seats but it is so small and intimate that you can see the stage almost from every seating.

Iridium Jazz Club NYC is One of the absolute best places to hear live music in the city and in the entire world. There isn’t a bad seat in the house. The sound is always great. The food is great and the staff is very accommodating. You can see top notch acts there like Alex Skolnick and Stu Hamm!

I went to the Sunday Drag Brunch here and although the wait to get in was a long time, the show made up for it. I had never laughed so much at a Drag show. Shequida is hilarious.

  • Review 84 (2024-03-12 - Rating: 5)

Wonderful small intimate jazz clubKind of reminds me of Village VanguardRight in Times Square

  • Review 85 (2013-03-06 - Rating: 4)

The space isnt the best -- it can be a bit cramped -- but there are so many talented jazz musicians who come through Iridium. Really interesting acts, IMHO. Plus, the prices are fairly reasonable. Definitely a must for jazz lovers.

  • Review 86 (2024-04-22 - Rating: 4)

Short session. One hour. While it was really good for that one hour, I was disappointed that it wasn’t longer considering the cost of the ticket.

  • Review 87 (2013-07-13 - Rating: 4)

Great jazz club, when les paul was alive he would play here all the time on mondays! Now the jazz club recognizes him and the amazing man he was by dedicating mondays to him and his music. The food is always great and they have a lime gin and tonic that is amazing. Also i would recommend to get any of the appetizers. The shows are also a good price, always a fun night

  • Review 88 (2019-05-13 - Rating: 5)

I like the atmosphere of lighting. It makes it smooth. Then, we you see on stage Mike Stern and Victor Wooten together. Ok, thats it. It says it all. This is where everything happens now.

  • Review 109 (2024-04-08 - Rating: 4)

Love the place but the 1st come 1st serve seating is not exactly true. You can wait on line for a really good seat and they try to put you wherever THEY want anyway. Not that theres really a bad seat in the house, but still....

Nice evening and meal with friends, but got turfed out early to make way for the second wave of Jazz fans and diners, shame as we were just getting comfortable :(

Beautiful, accomplished, and touching solo set by singer-songwriter Meiko last evening. Perfect venue for this kind of performance.

We really enjoyed the drag queen brunch. The food and service was just alright but the entertainment was excellent.

  • Review 120 (2018-03-05 - Rating: 5)

That place Les Paul built. Les Paul had a weekly residency for many years -- a classic NYC club. They recently did a major sound system upgrade. Food is very good for a music venue. They are booking an interesting eclectic mix of people these days. I would recommend without hesitation.

Stanley Jordan was simply amazing. A certifiable genius. His tribute to Jimi Hendrix is not to be missed.

The hallowed hall of the great Les Paul that still echoes with the brilliant work of todays masters of the six string....not to be missed.

  • Review 132 (2019-07-10 - Rating: 4)

  • Review 133 (2019-11-04 - Rating: 5)

First time. Cool looking basement club. Lots of history. We came to see Ally Venable Band an up and coming blues power trio in the vein of Stevie Ray Vaughn. Fancier food than typical music venues. Had braised short ribs on mashed potatoes and tried the veggie empanadas. Both excellently made and tasty. The odd rule they had was that couples couldnt sit next to each other. Had to sit across the table. Hostess seats everyone. Will go back. Parking was literally across the street so easy to drive if one wants.

  • Review 134 (2019-06-15 - Rating: 4)

Great intimate venue for shows. Seating arrangement needs a lot of work.

  • Review 135 (2019-03-31 - Rating: 5)

An incredible place to watch a show. Jake E Lee rocked it out. All seats are first class. Just go.

  • Review 136 (2018-05-08 - Rating: 4)

Great musicians there tonight. Had the group Arjun there. Food was good, but the service was lousy. Waiter took my order and brought over my drink and the kitchen staff brought my food to me. But the waiter never came back. I finished my drink and wanted another one, but he never came back. When he finally came back to take my plate, I asked for another drink, but he never brought it to me. At the end, he brought my bill (which already has 20% gratuity on it), but no drink. I was ready to leave, so I didnt even ask about it. So the place was good, my waiter was bad.

    Another amazing evening. Great venue!

  • Review 138 (2018-03-12 - Rating: 4)

Lovely setting for live music! Space feels intimate and cozy without being small.

  • Review 139 (2017-08-05 - Rating: 4)

The seating set up was a bit too crowded at times I couldnt see the artist from my seat since the customers seating next to me would block my view. Other than that the food was ok it was a bit expensive for the quality. Had the calamari which where not too bad and the Wings where better.

One of the best remaining Jazz clubs in NYC to draw big acts...if you can brave the traffic of Times Square.

Awesome music and atmosphere. Liked it better than the diner upstairs.

  • Review 146 (2018-03-02 - Rating: 5)

Some of the best live music in NYC. Great food in an intimate environment.

  • Review 147 (2023-10-22 - Rating: 4)

I have been to Iridium to see different jazz artists. The service and the food is great. You are not squeezed in like other jazz clubs. They changed their chairs. The chairs are metal low and very uncomfortable to sit on for an 1 and1/2 hour performance Why did you change them? The owner of the club should sit on them and he will see. Whoever made those chairs does not like people to be comfortable Its a shame I really like the club.

Great jazz/rock club in midtown. Less Paul played there every week until his passing.

Loved it so much we are flying in with our teenage kids this July to see Lee perform again! Great vibe and sound system too. The place is clearly well managed. Highly recommend this venue.

Great atmosphere and cool vibe in this intimate jazz club. Shared 3 appetizers of which, the coconut shrimp was the best. Well chosen, decently priced wine list. The sound system was brilliant in that it was crisp and loud but balanced so that you were not overwhelmed. The performance by The James Hunter Six was stellar, check him out!
