    Spacious place for indoor and outdoor seating. My go to place for happy hour. Oysters are excellent and fresh. Good bar food apps like calamari and chicken tenders. Usually hit this place once or twice a year on biz trips.

    The French Onion grilled cheese (add tomato) was prob the best grilled cheese sandwich of my life. I was skeptical at first, but it was totally worth it, and the server confirmed - saying she wished more people would order it, bc its that good. She was right. Food came out fast, service was great. Ambiance is nice.

    This is the spot for my office. A bar with legit food. Huge portion with a very reasonable price, and very delicious!!! I love their pulled pork nachos. The best. They are always extremely patient with my colleagues who have different kinds of food allergies and restrictions. My husband loved their Cajun burger - it’s ridiculously big with waffle fries. We always go for their happy hour for $10 mules. Perfect spot for lunch or relaxing time after work! The only downside is that they seem always short staffed. Don’t get me wrong - they all work very hard, running around and doing everything. As a result, we do often need to wave our arms hard to get our waitress’s attention.

    The two of us stumbled upon this gem while walking from the 35th street Seastreak stop to our hotel. They had opened within the hour and not busy yet. The young lady at the door was very friendly and so we decided to have brunch here. The eggs Benedict were amazing, mine with salmon. I saved this as a “favorite” place in Manhattan and definitely recommend it.

    I came here on a work lunch with my team after they were raving about the fish tacos. It was 16 degrees outside so very cold and the cold air kept coming in the restaurant.Food was delicious although I order salmon and mash potatoes with lemonade.My coworkers ordered the fish tacos and loved it. Prices were ok but the happy hour sounds very good!

    Stumbled on this place today and decided to check it out. There are other restaurants on the block, but the $10 frozen margarita sign caught my attention (flavored ones are an additional $2). I had a watermelon margarita and the Southern chicken sandwich with French fries and everything was delicious. Id definitely come back and try other items.

    I had one of the most successful work happy hour event at this location. The Managers and event planners were super responsive and a delight to work with. They helped me curate an event perfect for my needs and my budget. I had an happy hour event for 40 of my coworkers, we preordered food platters and had an open tab for happy hour drinks. The bartender on our service was a rockstar. She never got overwhelmed by the amount of people and she made drinks super fast and everyone said her drinks were amazing and strong. The food was really good as well. My party had no complaints and a lot of food options for all guest. Including those with dietary restrictions. Lastly I want to touch on the space. This bar is a very popular bar and the vibes and scenery were outstanding. We actually reserved the downstairs private room and I highly recommend this space for those hosting events. It’s super spacious and you have your own bar, bathroom, and music area. I will definitely be working with this location again and I highly recommend others to use this space for parties. You won’t be disappointed.

    I really like this venue. It was a little bit off the beaten path but it was open late and they had good reviews.We are promptly greeted by Samantha, We turn out to be our waitress, and I honestly think it made the experience 10 times better. I would argue one of the best waitresses weve had in a while. Great chemistry. Great personality. Made terrific recommendations. Genuinely cared in conversation.The food was really good. The desserts even better.The music was on point. I dont think Ive ever been to a place where I can name every single song thats played, So I felt like I was jamming out at a party.My wife, I and our infant child really enjoyed ourselves and we would 100% be back if we visit the city in the future.I really do want to commend Samantha again

    I had a really nice time in here with my sister. Was trying to get some drinks and something small to munch on. I really like the vibe and ambiance in here and our waitress was so friendly. The style of the couches are a really nice touch to this place. It feels and looks really classy. Outdoor seating seems so cozy with a nice view. Happy hour is great being 4-8. Would love to come back again.

    What a lovely place. We went for brunch. After 15 months of shelter in place!The food is delicious with great presentation, flavor, personalization options, and portion size. We took the bottomless drinks option. I have to say this is the first place ever I visited where we had to ask them to go easy on the booze in the drinks. 😅 Bottomless drinks had a good variety too.Most importantly, the staff is great, very courteous and sweet.

    They had a Love Island Reunion watch party and it was the most fun I have ever had in my entire life. The service was impeccable, I would let the staff babysit my children with no hesitation. The food was absolutely delectable and the atmosphere was electric. I will be back every night.

    My friends and I came here to watch the Love Island reunion, and we had a blast! The drinks were amazing (shoutout to Kristina! we ordered a white tea shot, yellow cake shot, frozen margs, beers, and hard ciders) and the atmosphere was lively. Everybody had so much fun; I’d 100% recommend coming here and I will certainly be back!

    We spent Christmas in New York (2022) and this bar became our local for the week. Most evenings after our days out exploring or site seeing we would go here for drinks or food. Both of which were great. They have a happy hour on 6pm -8pm were certain drinks are discounted.The staff were Evan was our main serving who made us feel at home and was happy to help with question, suggestions or just a general chat.     This is a very loud bar with TV screens on the walls playing sports. The music is very loud. If you want a place to chat with friends without shouting, this isn’t the spot. The interior is fun. The salmon, mashed potatoes, and sautéed vegetables is very basic but good. No sauces accompany the dish. The server called me hun and mama. It’s a place for groups to drink and nosh on shared plates.

    Great spot near Pennsylvania Station. Very short walk to get there. Large establishment with plenty of seating. Nice selection of beer and specialty drinks. Excellent wings, Coconut Shrimp and pizzas. Excellent service.

    The older gentleman greeting us right when we arrived was so warm and friendly. The service was great and the burger was pretty much the best burger I’ve had EVER! This was a total gamble for us for lunch, and we hit the jackpot. My only complaint (tiny one) was the music was very loud. But other than that, I highly recommend!!!

    This restaurant was near our hotel. We passed by several nights and it was packed. One evening, we were passing by around 4:30 and it wasnt busy so we popped in for dinner and drinks. The mules available during Happy Hour are really good. We split a cranberry goat cheese salad with chicken and the French onion grilled cheese with steak added. The salad was good, but the grilled cheese was amazing. The service was great. We would definitely go back if we were in the area.

    The owner of this place is someone that I will remember for ever! From Wales, very educated and humble! He and the waitress make sure all the time that we were okay but the most important thing is that they treated my 4 leg daughter 🐕 like a Queen! Priceless!     Location is convenient, easy to get to. Can eat inside or outside. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and super helpful. Even the host and the tabke busser was A+. We were not rushed from our table. They even took my friends request to sing happy birthday to me with a complimentary slice of cheesecake. The food was good, prices for a NYC restaurant was excellent, they have happy hour drinks until 8pm. Id definitely go back next time Im in midtown. 10/10.

    A lovely warm cosy bar. The staff a friendly and greet you as you enter. The food is tasty and pricy but great portions.     Hi this my second time coming after work to meet my besties tor drinks and it’s always delish! We get the ginger snap mule and the calamari to share. It was so good!!     Hands down…after 6 days in NYC, we found that The Liberty offered THE best service. So much so, we visited twice! The owner, Glenn, went out of his way to ensure a positive experience as did the bartender, Callie, the hostess, Skylar, and our server, Sarah. The Saturday brunch and bottomless drinks were phenomenal. Can’t say enough about our experience here. Def add it to your list of places to dine!

    My first time there. I sat at the bar and everyone was super polite. I had the Buffalo wings they were super huge lol and the oysters.     I really enjoyed my time at The Liberty NYC. My fiancee and I chose the restaurant because it was on the way to the Empire State Building. We were a little hot at first, but that was probably because we had a lengthy walk and subway ride in a hot car. After about ten minutes, we both cooled down. The waitress we had was superb. She seemed to be waiting on all of the tables indoors but you couldnt tell as a customer. She was on top of things and was extremely calm and polite in demeanor. The atmosphere was nice and clearly leaned heavily on its roots in NYC and the music was loud but we enjoyed it since it added to the liveliness. The food was okay. My fiancee enjoyed her steak sandwich but my fish had a very chewy strip all the way through it(perhaps it was the muscle/cartilage around the spine?). I was able to eat around it and it didnt affect the meal much. All in all, it was an enjoyable dinner at a reasonable price. I would go back if I found myself in the area again.

    Great service, big s/o to the staff, we took the basement to gather the entire crowd, and it was damn easy, accommodates 40 people easily and has its own bar.     This is a local gathering place and can get busy a lot on evenings, even on the weekdays. People come here to enjoy the street atmosphere outside or the television and decor inside.The bar has outdoor seating that is quite nice, with a mix of couches and tables brought out later in the day. Inside, the unique bar shape allows for patrons to sit all around the bartender.Aside from that, the staff are friendly and courteous. If your food takes too long, they keep tabs on that and will go ask about it, given that its not too crowded.The food is okay. The fries with garlic are crispy and the garlic is present. But its not very seasoned for my taste. They also have wings that are of decent number, but they are the typical small kind. The pork sliders I got had tender meat, but the sauce was too much when I had it mixed in, and that was all I could taste. But its not a bad place for a small bite, since the main draw is the drinks and company.

    Evan was INCREDIBLE! He was personable, professional, and a lot of fun! He was slammed with a big party last minute and was still able to provide fantastic service to everyone. Great spot to attend, especially before an event at MSG or a Broadway show. Definitely ask for Evan at the bar!

    Absolutely amazing outdoor seating area (visited in late November 2021 on a very chilly windy day). They have comfy leather couches and insanely warm infrared heaters.The food was excellent (we each had a cheeseburger and thought they were fantastic, as were the mac and cheese bites that we shared as an appetizer).The server was friendly and never rushed us. We ended up staying 6 hours (well after we had finished our meal and paid the bill)!!

    The BEST chicken tenders I’ve ever had in my life! The food and drinks were remarkable in general. I can’t believe how moderately priced the menu was. The staff was very friendly and helpful.     Now heres a dope venue, love the amount of space, being indoor out door. The art,, and them smoke shop lonuge chairs got me in a whole! The staff is amazingly diligent, the smiles they give their patrons is everything. Went on Thursday 8/25 for the first time and will be returning for many more to come. Bless Up!

    When you visit New York city you must go to the Liberty restaurant bar and event establishment on 29W 35th street. The place to go for great service, friendly staff who always greet you with a smile.. Great vibes, great food, beer and cocktails.. Got to mention Damon, always happy in his work and Luis the manager who both will always go the extra mile for you.. Not to leave out the girls who are also brilliant and the floor staff as well.. We were greeted and welcome immediately by the lovely host and sat down in the front. The vibe inside was fun and the music was bumping. Beside the great atmosphere, both our servers Serena and Chris were the highlight of our time there. They both are absolute gems with a awesome personalities .     I kind of love this place! I love the staff, I love being able to reserve spaces here for parties, I love the food and the drinks! There isnt much not to like. Ive been here on multiple locations and am only disappointed when the establishment is too busy for me to grab a quick drink. I definitely recommend getting the specialty cocktails, the sliders, and even the lamb is pretty good.

    We got the spinach artichoke dip and 2 pizzas and all the food was delicious. We made reservations for outdoor seating which was cute. It was ready when we arrived on time. The service was a little slow although very friendly staff. Even with this we were in and out in about an hour. Recommend for some good food in this area that isnt as expensive as so many others!

    That liberty NYC is a great go to evening or weekend brunch spot. Very nice decor inside and outside seating Chesterfield like sofas and feel throughout. Service, staff, food and drinks are all friendly and great. Area is okay a bit touristy and streets are sometimes more littered than others but nothing to do with restaurants responsibility. Recommend!!!

This is their avocado, strawberry salad pictured. I added Salmon and omitted the almonds. They are great with substitutions within reason. Happy hour is 6 to 8PM for select cocktails, wine and beer. Very much a sports bar atmosphere with background large TV screening of sports related stuff. Dont ask me, I dont watch sports. Not very noisy so you can hear someone else speak which is a plus. 10/10

    I have been to The Liberty on 2 occasions, both events were private meetings held in their downstairs room. May 11, 2016 was part of a tour by the Dartmouth Athletic Department and more specifically, its Football Program. Hors doeuvre and drinks were provided. Coach Buddy Teevens and others were there, as well as the Ivy League Football Trophy, because, well Dartmouth shared championship with Harvard and Penn. The downstairs venue is very comfortable and nice for a meeting of 20-30 folks. You can actually use google street view to go into The Liberty and in the back actually use street view to go downstairs. Very Nice.

    I hosted a birthday party here recently and had a great time! The event planning staff were super responsive and made the process extremely easy. I was able to book some platters of food for my guests and dropped off a cake a few hours before my event too (I called ahead to make sure they had room to store it just in case). They had set aside the side bar area for me and my guests - this gave us plenty of seating options + room to stand for a party of 25. We could also go directly up to a reserved bar area to order our drinks, which were yummy and quick! The service was friendly and my guests all had a great time. Several even mentioned wanting to host their own event here!

    This used to be my girlfriend’s watering hole from when she lived in NYC four years ago. The place hasn’t changed much since then, despite the lack of familiar faces at the bar. The bartenders still all serve the same standard of excellent drinks. Good place for sports fans as well as people who just want to have a good drink at reasonable prices. Despite being in a high traffic tourist area, The Liberty is one of the few places that is a shelter from the mess of tourists visiting Herald Square!
