    Local spot serving cocktails and bar food with a retro vibe. This is a good bar to come to with a few friends for a drink.I stopped in here for lunch to try the burger and it far exceeded my expectations. It was juicy, seasoned, and had a tasty sauce on top. The patties were not quite smash burgers but not overly thick like many restaurant burgers are. It was a perfect size and the fries were delicious, with a double fried crisp.

    This is a bar restaurant in all its glory and vintage style. They definitely run a tight ship with their service, water is always kept full, plates are taken, and service is prompt. Clean place with small menu which is a good thing. The cheese curds were surprisingly delightful. Deviled eggs were solid but honestly nothing like homemade. Now the star of the show is the burger, adding bacon is a must!!! Ask for mustard, trust the process. I didnt want the fries so I went arugula salad, one thing of note is they use coarse salt which you taste and feel a lot.

    We went here to try the burger on a recommendation!We ordered the long island burger with bacon wheel!For us the selling point was the bacon wheel, it’s the perfect addition to the burger, a perfect sized bacon that fits in to the burger, if you don’t lift the bun you wouldn’t notice the bacon! Never seen that anywhere..The fries were the best, thin and crispy with good seasoning!Overall we thought the burger was very tasty, food amount of cheese had some nice flavours going on with the potential of improving! Of course we are being a bit picky as we were on a foodie tour - patty could be cooked a bit better - was underwhelming as it was slightly overcooked!! We would appreciate if the server asks us how would we want our burger to be cooked! And the ratio of the meat to bun was not right- with the bun probably not able to handle the filling weight!A nice place with American diner vibes to enjoy a decent burger!

    Very good bar food and great ambiance. I really enjoyed sitting outside on the sidewalk. The burger is solid, though the highlight for me was the panisse, because the seasoning is way more interesting.

    I love this place and if it was a little closer to my apartment I would come here more. Anytime im in the mood for a martini and double cheeseburger this is my go-to spot. I recently decided to try the cheesecake too which was great! I appreciate the simplicity of the menu and the cocktails. Just a well made cocktail ill take any time over trying too hard to reinvent or riff on a classic.

    The best bar in Brooklyn and possibly the city, bar none. We returned night after night during our recent stay for delicious night caps, a warm and welcoming bartender and owner, and a retro space that feels like a dive bar with a simple food and cocktail menu that bely a truly elevated experience. Wish I could go back again but will have to plan my next visit instead!

    Great food. The burger was perfect and the fries were amazing. The drinks were great. Didn’t wait for a table but by the time I left it was very busy so keep that in mind. The service was top notch. Will be going back for sure.

    This is a cocktail bar done well. The decor reminds me of an upscale diner— it feels like you are taking a step back in time. The drinks are delicious, I’m a fan of the frozen Cosmopolitan which is delightfully citrusy. I am looking forward to going back to try some of the food options

    This place is truly spectacular and will always be my favorite spot to go to. A double cheeseburger paired with the improved pendennis club is a combination you can’t go wrong with. I love the atmosphere, but the huge flat screen TV throws off the vibes.

    Always a pleasure to visit for some of the best cocktails and possibly the best burger in NYC! Great wait staff and bartenders and an eclectic playlist in a setting from another era. Lots to love!

    The first bite of the burger felt like a bit of a let down but I realised thats because so many places now serve gimmicky burgers with all kinds of toppings and special sauces. This is an all American cheeseburger in the classical sense. Rather pricey at $26 with bacon but does include fries and the cheese curds are to die for. Never eaten batter that tasty.

    This is truly the place to be if youre looking for a bar in Brooklyn that still feels like your typical neighborhood bar. The crowd is mostly local but I also saw a few international visitors. Service and drinks were good, I can recommend their White Negroni and the Shot & Beer too.

    I am once again begging Long Island Bar to make a veggie burger 🙏 there are basically no good veggie burgers in the neighborhood anymore and I would come here weekly instead of monthly if they put a veggie burger to the caliber of HiHi Rooms (r.i.p.) on the menu! Until then, the best vegetarian dinner here is the gem salad with a side of deviled eggs and I *will* keep coming back for it.Five stars regardless, love this place. Even if it gets a bit scene-y (you can kind of tell when someone has posted a TikTok blowing up the spot lol) Long Island Bar is true to itself and never wavers.

    One of the best cocktail bars in the known world. All of their house drinks are wonderful dance moves around ]drinks you already love. A complete night there includes the fried cheese curds and the burger. I mean, this burger is one of legend with an amazing house made cheese that melts like American but tastes of real funk. Come for an evening and enjoy yourself.

    I had an awesome experience here. I was greeted by a hostess immediately and seating right next to the door with a window view of Atlantic Avenue. I expected to be cold, but the heat was pumping right in my area which was an awesome (and I assume intentional) move to make sure every since seat was comfortable here.Me and my friend got an appetizer to split: the basket of fries. The fries were around $10 and they lasted us ALL NIGHT and were incredibly crunchy and tasty.I had two servings of The Long Island Gimlet which was a phenomenal drink — tasted like an elevated Moscow Mule.The service was attentive, friendly, and accommodating.

    I come here with my partner exclusively for the food, which is maybe strange, but the fried chicken sandwich is the absolute underdog of LI Bar. Plus the cheese curds. It is bar food at its highest level.

    Unbelievably good. It was the type of dining/drinking experience where I caught myself just enjoying every little thing around me. It seems like their strengths are not only in how good their drinks (boulevardier) and food (cheeseburger) and service are, but how not a single thing felt out of place. The era specific decor was impeccably done to the point where saying it was authentic feels redundant and unnecessary. It just is the place that it is. Thank you LIB. I will be back.

    A nine dollar glass of gruner veltliner is like hens teeth in this neighborhood.I forgot how much I like the fries here. They serve a nice selection of well done bar food. They a very solid burger. I admit served up a bit of side eye at the lady burger as opposed the manlier house burger. We also liked the shrimp and cod fritters which were like fish and chip bites. The boyfriend and I didnt agree about the carrot salad. He loved it but I found the texture a bit tiresome. Im not a fan of sunflower sprouts. Still the feta, raisins and dressing are good and I do love the way the salad looks.The other thing I forgot was how horrible the acoustics are in the back room. Not only really loud but the sound bounces around so much you can hear some of the quieter conversations across the room too. Its like you have extra people at your table. You can hear them better than you can hear your date. But its a bar that people have a good time at.

    My favorite burger in nyc. I usually always avoid a double patty for my burgers but I would not do the single patty here. The ratio of the bread and sauce all goes best with the juices of the double patty. Also worth waiting to sit at the bar or in booth vs in back room. We got there just before 6 and beat the rush.

    I love this place. Great drinks...The Erin is my favorite, but also try the White Lady. As far as food goes the cheese curds are the bomb! And you wont go wrong having the double patty cheeseburger, which Im eating in the pic next to owner Toby Cecchini.

    This diner has been around since the early 1950s. There is an extensive bar menu, which includes all types of mixed drinks, wine, and beer. They are open for dinner, after 5 p.m. on weekdays. There is a full brunch menu on Sundays, which contains all types of interesting items. Like Dutch apple pancakes, Spanish milk toast, burgers, and the ultimate Brunch entree - bagels with cream cheese, lox, tomatoes, and onions. Yummy. The prices are very reasonable. The staff is very nice. The drinks are strong and very tasty. I would go back. On Sundays for brunch, they open at 11 a.m. The restaurant is located near the water on Atlantic Avenue.

    Drinks are outstanding. This is one of my favorite burgers in NYC and the cheese curds rock. Theyre getting 4 stars because the bar tenders can be a bit pretentious. They seem to be nice to and invested in the regulars but why not be nice to everyone? Once I asked what an ingredient in a drink was and a bartender told me impatiently you dont need to know. What?!

    My favorite bar/restaurant in the neighborhood. Creative cocktails and perfect ambiance for a special but casual night. I love the carrot salad and the ladies burger. This place is special because it’s a cocktail bar, regular bar, and diner with 5 star diner food - all in one place.

    One of the best Irish bars we found in Brooklyn (and we were here for St Patricks Day weekend). Excellent selection of beers and menu is full of Irish dishes. Service was excellent, as was the food.

    Cool hip spot where all the cool kids hang out. No one there talked to me except the waitress, but thats because I avoided eye contact for the most part.     Ok, so, yes its a good burger. Its a really well made In and Out burger. Its not about the meat there. Its about the bun, the sauce and the martinis. But I’m glad I went and I will go back. Also the cheese curds....Theyre fire.

    Wow, what can I say? I was dazzled by Long Island Bar, where I spent the moments before New Years with my closest friends. One of our party spilled his drink by accident and one of the employees came over with the most genuine demeanor and replaced the entire pitcher with no questions asked. The whole staff was pleasant.
