    The venue turned out to be bigger than I had expected, featuring a roomy bar and a comfortable outdoor seating area. While I didn’t try any food or ask about it, so I can’t say if they offer meals. The drinks were pleasant and fairly priced. I was there for a networking and social gathering, which required quite a bit of standing. As I was getting ready to leave, I saw that the space had been reorganized with extra tables and chairs.

    Decent prices at happy hour (5, but used to be 3.50 a beer) and good service. Love the Irish lady. It gets supper packed at night, but I usually come for happy hour drinks. Great A.C., and they let me eat my tacos from across the street. Really is a 4.5 now that I think about it.

    Great little friendly place. Not crowded when I was there on a warm Septembet Saturday evening. If you are looking for a no pretentions real spot in NYC its worth a peek in the window.

    Quiet atmosphere during the early part of happy hour. Can get pretty packed on Saturday night with most people being tools, but its LES; every bar on Saturday night is filled with tools. Drinks are stiff and happy hour is cheap ($3 draft and well drinks)!

    Dan White is absolutely math-magical!!! My daughter and I along with our friends had an incredible time. Mind blown by his performance. A must see for NYers and out-of-towners. We were thoroughly impressed. On top of the show being amazing, Dan is also humble, kind and funny. Lovely meeting him after the show. Super down to earth.

    Feels like this place used to be a dinner but was converted to a bar. Its a no thrills, cheap drinks haunt that will be one of my go tos when in the area. Its not too loud either so you can definitely have a good conversation with friends. It does get busy though.

    Space is bigger than I expected, good sized bar and outside seating are available. I didnt have food while here, nor did I ask. So I cant for sure say if they serve food or not. Drinks were good and not crazy on the pocket. I was here for a networking / social event, so I did a lot of standing. I know that the space looked different by the time I was leaving with extra tables and chairs.

    The Magician is one of the best pubs in NYC. Great atmosphere, good vibe, excellent place. See Gavin at the bar. He is the BEST!!

    Good place with a good beer and liquor selection. Its in a busy part of town but almost never seems to be overcrowded or too busy. Cash only, so dont try to bring cards also no food on site. They will let you bring in outside food, however, and theres a space in the back with ample tables for dining and chatting with friends. Would recommend.

    This is my favorite bar in the lower east side. It is really great and calm and they play dad rock and the drinks are good and until recently it had the best happy hour in the area. Also Dilly the bartender is super cool and half the reason I go so often.

    Ah the magician. some of my favorite people on the planet work in this bar. they have a happy hour and drink deals that cant be beat. sometimes the clientele can be a bit obnoxious and it can get really packed, but its the only place in the neighborhood that doesnt make me want to kill everyone around me after 11PM.

    I wanted to find a classic bar in NY while on assignment covering Fashion Week for White Caviar Life - and fulfil my first trip to New York - stumbled across The Magician and it was Magic! It was also happy hour which is the best king of magic of all! Tried three of the craft beers, every one of them was good, good than better than good.. Service was friendly as well. I didnt want to leave! But fashion week beckoned, there were more things to do.. Check oout this bar; great vibe, classic! Thank you to The Magician :-)
