I stopped by the Mark Bar for a quick drink after a very long meeting. The front bar area is small but very sleek. The service from the bartender today was outstanding. This is definitely a nice classy spot for a drink and/or some light bites on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

To be here is to be everywhere and to not want to be anywhere else. Sure the prices may seem higher than other watering holes, but the margins arent crazy.They are serving quality products on some of the most desirable real estate on earth. A+ to the bartenders for great service.

On a You-Tube-Video, I heard about the Gourmet Hot Dog for $7.00, with a good selection of toppings, at a fancy-cart outside the Mark Hotel. It was one of the best dirty-water-dogs that I have ever had. I had it with mustard, onion sauce, and pickles. I asked the purveyor if I could sit at one of the tables outside. He suggested sitting inside the Lobby-Bar (WITH A.C.). He walked me in, sat me on a comfy-couch with a table, and brought me a glass of ice-water and napkins.Kudos to HIM ! ! ! It was a very happy experience.

We found refuge in the Mark Bar after getting caught in the rain on a Saturday afternoon. Wet to the bone, I greatly appreciated the hostess seating us for drinks. The actual table service and drinks were just fine, but it gave us an opportunity to dry off and sip an old fashioned.

The Mark is swanky. Its metropolitan. Its happinin. The staff is amazing....extremely kind and helpful and friendly (especially Tony).Our cocktails, however, were too sweet for our taste, and we went for a dessert which was also way too sweet. It seems like someone in the back was sugar happy. Overall we really enjoyed our time and the atmosphere....we just wanted a more balanced palate.

Intimate cocktail bar just off the lobby of the hotel. Think velvet, nice lighting, and small cushiony seats. Service was very good and they make a nice cocktail. The prices cover the real estate which is far from inexpensive. It can get pretty lively on a Thursday night so expect a little bit of a wait if youve got a group or be prepared to stand.
