Great spot in the UWS that is fully gluten free and kosher. had a delicious girls night dinner, we were a party of 3 — with one of us celiac, another gluten sensitive. waiter was very friendly and we got a cozy corner spot on banquet.to say we were excited to have dinner here is an understatement, especially with onion rings and churros on the brain.we ordered:— chicken tender— steamed dumplings— onion rings— burger— churrosplus a lovely red wine from israel.everything was good — the churros, burger and chicken tenders was excellent. onion rings were a little heavy handed on the batter front but still tasty.definitely a winner and reservations are highly recommended. such a treat to indulge, thanks to the folks behind modern bread ❤️

  • Review 2 (2024-08-27 - Rating: 5)

A great gluten free spot right next to modern bread and bagel. An amazing menu for yummy goodness, the onion rings are killer and I loved the mocktails. We stopped for a light lunch but got a salted pretzel to go. Super great spot, service was a little slow but nothing major. The price isn’t the worst either considering everything is celiac safe.

  • Review 3 (2024-12-30 - Rating: 5)

My group and I came for dinner tonight, and we were so impressed with the customer service we received from this restaurant. Food and drinks were perfect and everything on its menu it’s gluten free! The atmosphere was very inviting and pleasant with a nice play music. We loved it and definitely come back!

  • Review 4 (2024-12-23 - Rating: 5)

Everything is gluten free! We had vegetable dumplings, ribeye skewers, Japanese potatoes and Singapore noodles with two cocktails. The food is tasty, fresh and light. The Japanese potatoes were fried but still very light and fluffy. The portions are good sized but don’t leave you feeling stuffed and heavy. The price for NYC is appropriate however if you’re an out of town tourist you might find it overpriced. Will come back!

I would like to thank the owners ofThyme and Tonic and Modern Bread and Bagel! They have single-handedly changed the landscape of Gluten Free Kosher Dairy Free delicious dining.First and foremost it’s amazing kosher gluten free healthy and you would never know.I am able to eat things including deserts that I haven’t eaten in 10 years. The restaurant ambience is terrific too!You don’t have to worry about bringing business people there or family and friends who don’t have allergies .You will want to eat everything on the menu . Try the Guacamole and plantains, Franks in a Blanket, soft pretzels, churros, delicious burgers, vegan burgers, salad options with or without schnitzel. Or try the Pastrami brisket with cornbread and coleslaw and rib skewers. All #glutenfree #dairyfree.Best of all it’s closed on #Shabbat

I wanted to try their new menu ever since I heard they switched kosher supervision. We went during happy hour and the drinks were well priced and delicious. Bartender knew what he was talking about and helped direct us towards drinks we would like. We ordered fries which took 25 minutes to come- but when they came were delicious. Reading all the other reviews I was a little nervous about the service and taste- however after going there I would go back (with vastly lower expectations for service though)

  • Review 7 (2024-11-18 - Rating: 5)

I cant tell you about anything other than Just in Thyme their little to-go area but lemme tell you, those gf pretzels/pretzel bites were AMAZING. Ive been involuntarily gluten free for around 16 years. It has been that long since Ive had a big chewy pretzel. Some pretzel bites came out fresh from the oven and got them as well and I was in *~heaven~*The churro I dont think I can properly rate because I didnt eat it until a few hours after buying it, so I dont know if it was soft because of the time, or if thats how it is. So when I come back to NYC in August 2025 I will definitely check them out againThem being next to Modern Bread and Bagel is a dangerous combination, but I am HERE for it.

  • Review 8 (2024-12-22 - Rating: 5)

Really great place. Food was delicious. Service was top notch and great atmosphere.Would love to come back!

  • Review 9 (2022-09-09 - Rating: 4)

We tried this place for the first time the other day and really enjoyed it! Pescatarian menu with lots of vegan options if that’s your thing. We were the first to arrive at brunch time and we’re on a bit of a diet — so the menu fit the bill. I got the avocado toast and husband got the scrambled bowl. I don’t even like onions and I loved the pickled onions on the avo toast. Prob the best ones I’ve ever had since they weren’t overwhelmingly onion-y. We’re sober curious ATM so I also ordered the juice — mint/cucumber/grapefruit — it was absolutely the highlight of the meal! Love that they have teff bread too — haven’t seen that many places!

  • Review 10 (2021-08-07 - Rating: 5)

I’m always searching for a vegan restaurant that my family will also enjoy…and 2 of us have gluten allergies which is always challenging. This place was a great mix of familiar food done in a way that makes our mind, body and conscious happy. Great environment, design, mix of music, tasty seltzer cocktails and delicious food. You will not be disappointed ✌️

  • Review 11 (2024-03-13 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 12 (2024-12-22 - Rating: 5)

Super cool vibe with mix of classy and chill. Treated so well by Allen too. Excellent experience all around!

  • Review 13 (2024-07-16 - Rating: 5)

Came in last night and we had an incredible experience! We love the new additions to the menu. We got the Singapore Noodles and they were incredible! Also, Abby was an amazing waitress (as per usual, we have had her as our waitress a few times)!

  • Review 14 (2024-12-18 - Rating: 5)

Food was excellent! The appetizers were delish!! Each one better than the next! And my steak was cooked to perfection!

  • Review 15 (2024-05-16 - Rating: 4)

They have strange hours. Often they have gluten-free bagels and churros. They’re absolutely fantastic but they only do them during the week and not on the weekend. The soft pretzel was incredible. The food was OK. It wasn’t amazing, but it was fine. It’s all gluten-free. I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was OK. The salads look very fresh, and the design is beautiful.I think it’s owned by the Modern bread and bagel next-door where they sell delicious gluten-free bagels .

  • Review 16 (2024-12-24 - Rating: 5)

Went there for my friend’s birthday and had the best time!! Amazing service and great atmosphere! Highly recommend

  • Review 17 (2021-04-18 - Rating: 5)

We ordered a couple of coconut milk lattes (really generous and tasteful), an avo and pomegranate toast with millet+teff bread (thank god that this place has a gluten free bread made with good ingredients!) and an omelette. We finished the brunch with coconut pancakes (really good if you are used to eat gluten free, but don’t expect the typical ones!). Service was really good too.

  • Review 18 (2024-11-26 - Rating: 5)

The food (especially the churros) was great! The service was also very quick. Really enjoyed eating here :)

  • Review 19 (2024-04-02 - Rating: 5)

I went for lunch and had a great time. The food was delicious and came out pretty quickly. I highly recommend the chicken and waffles, the onion rings and the soft pretzel. The best gluten free food I have ever had!Service was also amazing. Scott was incredibly helpful with handling our allergies and had the best cocktail recommendations. Really elevated the entire experience. Definitely going to come back to try the rest of the menu!

  • Review 20 (2018-06-13 - Rating: 4)

Truth be told, I’m not super into vegan/natural foods. My girlfriend wanted to go here so I entertained the place. Our waitress was awesome (sorry don’t remember her name) and was able to provide good recommendations. We started with spring rolls and these things were so bomb! Tasty and crispy. The sauce it was served with was also amazing. Would come back for this dish alone. Would say it’s a must-order. My gf got papardella and it was honestly not good. I got a burger that was also pretty bad. It was, however, served with fries and a vegan ranch that was surprisingly extremely tasty!! Would recommend for people into the natural/organic food scene. It’s priced accordingly $$$ The interior of the restaurant is also super cool. But for people that are looking for a “cheat meal” type experience, this definitely isn’t it.

  • Review 21 (2022-12-19 - Rating: 5)

For all the Kosher, Gluten-free eaters out there in the upper west side: This is the place for you! Had a delicious GF pad-thai bowl with tofu for lunch and had an AMAZING GF blueberry muffin from the kosher, GF bakery next door for dessert. LOVED IT. Waitress was very patient and helpful, resulting in me and my family having a wonderful lunch experience. I would definitely recommend checking this place out. 👌🍜☺️

  • Review 22 (2025-01-05 - Rating: 5)

A great dining experience for my family! My husband is celiac and it is hard to find a dedicated gluten free kitchen. The food was delicious! Highly recommend the street noodles :)What we enjoyed most were the people working that night! We will absolutely be back next time were in NYC.

  • Review 23 (2024-05-28 - Rating: 5)

Had lunch at Thyme & Tonic on Memorial Day. The food was great, the service was lovely and the atmosphere was energetic. Our server was attentive and made sure that we knew our dessert, the churros, would take some time after ordering. They were worth the wait. I had the chicken and waffles and while the part of the waffle that was covered with the chicken was soggy, the rest of the waffle was great. Next time I will ask for them separate. (go to Modern Bread and Bagel and Snack Thyme both next door before /after if you can and pick up their gf goodies too)

  • Review 24 (2020-02-25 - Rating: 4)

This place has now gone vegan. Overall, service was good and the pancakes we ordered were well prepared. Lots if space for strollers and kids. Drawback was the music was a little loud and sounded like I was in a night club.

  • Review 25 (2021-04-17 - Rating: 5)

Great vegan/vegetarian spot! Fritters were delish and these coconut pancakes were a first for me and genuinely enjoyed them. Molly was an incredible server! Above and beyond. Will definitely be back!

  • Review 26 (2024-12-18 - Rating: 5)

Best place to go out as a gluten free! Can’t even tell that there’s no gluten. Super vibey and great service. Get the churros!!

  • Review 27 (2024-07-17 - Rating: 5)

Had dinner here and would highly recommend. Great food and even better service from Scott. He recommended great food and drinks and was extremely helpful with handling food allergies. My favorite was the Singapore noodles and if you go, you have to get the churros.

  • Review 31 (2023-07-09 - Rating: 4)

Food is okay (the zucchini fries are really good), but they have a nice selection of cocktails. Tried the lavender blue and the besos calientes which were both amazing. Service is very good and friendly!

  • Review 32 (2024-05-12 - Rating: 5)

Fabulous gluten free/nut free restaurant and wonderful manager/staff. We came with someone who can only eat gluten free, no nuts and no eggs and he had lots of delicious options. Many vegan options too. Such a great healthy allergy sensitive restaurant. It is Kosher too! Highly recommend.

  • Review 33 (2018-10-28 - Rating: 5)

MY NEW FAVORITE PLACE!! I did a random search on google for “gluten free restaurants on the upper west side” and this gem popped up.Super healthy Menu - great vibe - friendly service - everything you want in a dining establishment.

  • Review 34 (2021-11-07 - Rating: 5)

They recommended the avo/pom tartine, and I was very happy with it. The serrano chilis on top maybe werent the best choice since one bagel half was spicy and the other mild, but they should become more precisely mild as it turns into winter. Love that pop of freshness from the pomegranate seeds, and its great that theyve taken over Modern Bread and Bagels restaurant side and continue to make it gluten free. The Empire Sunrise was also gorgeous and not too sweet. Finally, the carrot cupcake was a must-try! The authentic vanilla bean in the buttercream was absolutely to die for, and the cake was moist and flavorful. As far as atmosphere, it was so gorgeous and calming aside from the loud music, which made it hard to hear anybody.

  • Review 35 (2023-05-17 - Rating: 5)

I love the update! New hechsher, no longer open on Shabbat, full time mashgiach, now meat! Best kosher place on the UWS

  • Review 36 (2018-05-22 - Rating: 5)

Damn this was some amazing sh.... My wife told me about this place. I try to be very disciplined during the week. No bread, brown rice, quinoa. No dairy, etc. Great menu, tons of options, great atmosphere. A bit pricey but thats the upper westside. Great if youre being good but didnt have time to prepare a meal. The burgers and dessert also look great, maybe Saturday...

  • Review 37 (2024-12-02 - Rating: 5)

Very good, the cheese is vegan here but other than that everything is great, service is great too.

  • Review 38 (2024-08-19 - Rating: 5)

    Another excellent gluten free option

  • Review 39 (2024-06-19 - Rating: 5)

Dive into a culinary paradise at this fantastic restaurant where every dish is a work of art! The Nashville chicken sandwich is a fiery masterpiece that will set your taste buds ablaze in the best way possible. The perfectly fried chicken, coated in a tantalizing blend of spices, is sandwiched between two pillowy buns and topped with just the right amount of heat to make it absolutely irresistible. If youre in the mood for something lighter but equally delicious, their avocado toast is a must-try. Two pieces of homemade bread are generously slathered with freshly smashed avocado, sprinkled with cracked black pepper, and crowned with perfectly poached eggs. Drizzled with lemon oil, this dish is a symphony of flavors that will leave you wanting more.To wash it all down, dont miss out on their spicy cucumber mezcalita. This refreshing cocktail combines the crispness of cucumber with a kick of spice, perfectly complementing the bold flavors of the Nashville chicken sandwich and the creamy avocado toast.Overall, this restaurant is a culinary haven that delivers on taste, quality, and creativity with dishes like the Nashville chicken sandwich, avocado toast, and spicy cucumber mezcalita. A must-visit for anyone looking to elevate their dining experience to new heights!

Amazing and delicious gluten free brunch. The Mimosa bar was so fun!

  • Review 41 (2024-05-31 - Rating: 5)

The Snack and Thyme which belongs to Thyme & Tonic is great for that indulgence in yummy hot dogs 🌭 pretzels 🥨. A must for the Ceoliac.

  • Review 42 (2022-05-03 - Rating: 5)

The greatest place visited in New York, amazing vegan food, inside it seemed no winter great music good vibes and recommend sit on the bar many special cocktails. Super service I will come back!!

  • Review 43 (2023-11-13 - Rating: 5)

This place is absolutely amazing and I can’t believe it’s only at 3.9 stars!!! My wife is gluten free and she always feels left out by my food at restaurants and this time it was switched and I was dying for her food!! You’ve never guess it’s gluten free or vegan etc but it’s ridiculously good with robust flavor! Also, Abby is a great server!!Only thing I will mention is we were greeted by a guy who was taking care of seating and he was pretty rude. Although, he still pulled off getting us exactly what we wanted!

  • Review 44 (2024-12-24 - Rating: 5)

Such an amazing place great service 10 out of 10 assistance good food and great drinks

  • Review 45 (2024-04-24 - Rating: 5)

The hours of this restaurant are strange and seemingly inconsistent so be sure to check their website, although we unfortunately ran into a closure due to passover that was not posted on their website. The food selection was decent and accommodated many different dietary restrictions (vegan, vegetarian, gluten free)The food was delicious when it came out and was piping hot.The chicken sandwich lacked a bit of seasoning in the batter but the crispy-ness was on point. The tacos have a back of the tongue kick which is reasonably mild. The Onion rings and vinegar are on the salty side which I enjoy and were nice and crispy too. The Onion rings are accompanied but a delicious and mildly spicy mayo-like sauce. The Kung Pao was a little overly saucy but the flavor was great as well. The fish tacos were delicious and had an abundance of toppings.

  • Review 46 (2017-05-05 - Rating: 4)

Brunch mainstay with an awesome mix of fresh finds and healthy home-style fare. Great for dinner as well. Service is friendly and allergy-accommodating.

  • Review 49 (2023-09-05 - Rating: 5)

Ive been eyeing Thyme and Tonic for a while and am so glad that I got the chance to try it! Went for supper with 3 other people and ordered drinks, starters, and mains.TLDR - we were all really impressed by the quality of the food and nuanced flavors and you should try it out :)Details:Service was fine - friendly and timely but no wow factor. Prices were very reasonable for a kosher restaurant in NYC.For starters we ordered the zucchini fries, onion rings, and chicken tenders. Each came with its own sauce and all were crispy and flavorful, especially the tenders. The breading on the items was also super tasty. For mains we got burgers - Diablo, American, and Plain Jane, and each was super juicy, perfectly cooked, and delicious. The vegan cheese was a creamy and flavorful addition and the gf buns were soft and did not taste gf. We also ordered salads which were good but not as outstanding as the burgers. We got parmesan fries which went well with the meal and had really nice flavor complexity. We got an assortment of drinks and all were beautiful and tasty. The food assortment was perfect for veggie lovers and non veggie lovers alike.Over all, a really good experience. I was somewhat hesitant to try it because of some recent reviews but was happily surprised by the speed of the service as well as the quality of the food and flavors.

Best Cocktails on the Upper West Side! Bartender Rogelio, Johann and Mauricio! Pride and Passion into their creations.

  • Review 51 (2023-05-05 - Rating: 4)

The food here was really delicious and I loved that everything was gluten free with vegan options. The service was kind of meh. We were a party of 10 but made reservations well in advance. They forgot items and it took almost an hour to get food. It wouldnt have been such an issue if our group didnt have plans afterwards. It was very hard to track down our waitress, as well.Id go back at an off peak time but not for the dinner rush.

  • Review 52 (2024-11-05 - Rating: 5)

Incredible fully gluten free food! They get busy but it’s nice to go at lunch time when they’re a bit slower. It can take a while but understandable as they’re so busy sometimes. Would go again and highly recommend for gluten free folks

  • Review 53 (2023-08-12 - Rating: 5)

VEGAN OPTIONS!!✨🌱WHERE✨🌇Located on the Upper West Side just a few blocks from Central Park, definitely plan to hit this place up for Happy Hour because it SLAPS.AMBIANCE✨SO GOOD. I loved the decor of this gastropub, both inside and outwardly beautiful (like you 😉) there is earthy decor featuring drooping flowers in their outside dining area (which is reservation only) and it’s perfect for photo opportunities!WHAT I ATE✨🍔🥟Thyme and Tonic serve flavors from all around the 🌎 making it hard to choose what you want to eat if you’re a lover of all foods 💕 They had an amazing happy hour! $8 drinks and $7 appetizers 😭✨ These are great prices for NYC and for the area in general. I ate and LOVED their house made gyoza. For the main course I ate their Friend “Chikin” Sandwhich with herbed aioli, pickles and slaw. Although it was good, it wasn’t my favorite because the bun is more hard like a bagel than fluffy like a normal burger bun. They are completely gluten-free!!• They are vegan friendly, but they do serve dairy, meat, and fish. They have lots of nut-free options!WHAT I DRANK✨💕🍷I had 2 drinks, the Part Time Lover which was made with Great Grey Gin, Strawberries, Hibiscus, Lemon Juice. Second I had the Graden Margarita made of Tequila, Lime, Agave, Chili Salt🍹 The drinks tasted amazing and the bartender even gave us a free shot of tequila!

  • Review 57 (2023-02-11 - Rating: 5)

Thyme & Tonic is a gluten free restaurant located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. While Ive never eaten here before, I have stopped by a handful of time for a drink. The service has always been great and so has the atmosphere. The beer selection consists of gluten-free options and while limited the few Ive tried have been good.

  • Review 58 (2022-12-03 - Rating: 4)

The food here was good, but very focused on being meat-adjacent. If you enjoy meat substitutes, this place is great but Id stay away from the chickn. Not their fault at all, its just not quite there yet.The drinks were delicious and the food was reasonably priced for the area.

  • Review 59 (2024-12-18 - Rating: 5)

Beautiful restaurant! Delish food! The owner is such a doll. We really really enjoyed ourselves!!!

  • Review 60 (2022-07-24 - Rating: 5)

Great place and outdoor seating design. A lot of great options on the menu. Brussels sprouts were great but sauce and spices could be more. Road to goa was great and its curry sauce should be more. The cocktails were great. Ill come back here. Recommended💯

  • Review 61 (2021-12-01 - Rating: 4)

We came on a Saturday night in December. We actually found a table even though the place was very crowded. At a table, you get service which was great. Our waitress was personable without being too friendly. The karaoke is a fun time. I like that they have a list that lets you know when your turn is coming up. Drinks however were weak and expensive. Stick to beer.

  • Review 62 (2022-07-09 - Rating: 5)

Great restaurant, great food and great vibe. Went for my first date with my boyfriend a year ago and came back a year later for our anniversary.Only issue we had was a Karen getting mad because she was waiting to be seated while we had a reservation and was sat first. Staff handled the situation well and sat us quickly.

  • Review 63 (2024-08-09 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 64 (2023-01-14 - Rating: 4)

A great restaurant if you’re gluten free or vegan. Loved that. Great concept but so much potential to be had, some dishes were bland and lacked finesse. Hope to see it improve when I come back! Very expensive for what it is.

  • Review 65 (2017-07-29 - Rating: 5)

Delicious, fresh food in a open and comfortable atmosphere. The very diverse menu has a great selection of Gluten free and Vegetarian options. Service was attentive but we never felt rushed. I really enjoyed the house made ginger beer.

This one of my favorite places on the upper west side, Tyme & Tonic is a great place to have lunch or dinner, but I must say that the best are the drinks, one of the bartenders, last Wednesday suggested me two drinks, just like honey and full time lover and wow those drinks were amazing. You must try all the drinks.

Being a fan of self serve fro-yo place, we decided to stop by this place. We found this place when we were walking around the mall. This place is located in the basement, near Fay Da Bakery & The Children Place. The place looks nice & clean. As for the yogurt selection, they were only about 8 to choose from. We got the peach & mango sorbet. After adding few toppings, ours came out to about $8. I think the weight was about 12 oz but we are not 100% sure. It was pretty good. We were definitely happy with what we got.As for the service, the cashier girl was pretty polite. We cant say much about the service here.Toppings selection were pretty good. They have the basic chocolate sprinkles, M&M, nuts, rainbow sprinkles, almonds, fruits, & MORE!We like this place. Well definitely go back if we happen to be in this mall again!

  • Review 72 (2016-12-30 - Rating: 5)

Service was casual and very hands on. Our waiter Brandon was personable, alert, and on top of everything. Kudos to a wonderful experience. When visiting, order freely and know you are in good hands. Dining with a large party makes it a little bit more interesting, since you can sample more dishes. Make sure you research what the restaurant front looks like to avoid getting lost. The sign is tiny. If you visit during the day, it is possible to access it through ABC Carpet & Home, but not at night. Of course, make a reservation ahead of time; they do fill up quickly.

Food is reliable.Burger was awesome and cooked to perfection. Didnt fall apart and was simply made.Wife had the seafood vegetable dish - it seemed more liked steamed vegetables with salad dressing. Ambiance is nice and not too casual.Oh kid friendly!

I always walk past this on my work commute as a dog walker, i finally got a chance to experience and i wasnt disappointed, i was so happy that this was a vegan/gluten free restaurant, first time in a long time my stomach didnt hurt after eating out (gluten intolerance) the waitress we had was so attentive and friendly and inside it was quite gorgeous, food was ok, fries were the best thing I had there, the mushroom burger was wayyy too vinegary for my tastes, drinks however were on point, delicious and i got a nice little buzz, overall great experience, would come back.

This place is gluten-free heaven. ⛅️All menu items are GF & vegetarian.Had the Bangkok noodles (similar to pad Thai). Sweet, tangy. Great textures. (Kinda missed chicken, ngl)And next door is their parent company Modern Bread & Bagel 🥯 (also all GF).

  • Review 81 (2024-08-11 - Rating: 5)

This is a gluten and dairy free restaurant. This is the reason because usually when in NYC we have a brunch there. Al meals I have tried are great except the coffee. Really bad coffee. What I didn’t know was that is a kosher restaurant, and this is the reason of such a bad coffee.Since we didn’t know once we ordered, we brought some coffees from the next door bakery. The, I guess, restaurant manager was so mad at us and asked us to throw away those cups since we were in a kosher restaurant. So be aware, this is a kosher restaurant. And this is not clear at their website page. Don’t bring any food from outside, not even a cup of coffee.

The food and service at Spring Natural Kitchen on 83rd & Columbus are SUPERB! After an extended illness which kept me at home for over a month, I finally was able to adventure out for a meal with friends even though I was still on a special diet. Thank goodness for this lovely restaurant!! Our server Clara C. was incredibly helpful and understanding of my dietary restrictions, and the kitchen staff perfectly prepared my meal exactly as I requested. I am beyond grateful for kind and gracious people like Clara and for accommodating restaurants like Spring Natural Kitchen that can make meals, even those from the most restrictive of diets, taste yummy!! And my friends all had delicious meals and tasty drinks as well! It was a delightful evening for all of us!!

  • Review 84 (2021-07-01 - Rating: 4)

As someone who has a restrictive diet, its really high praise to any restaurant that can make just about anyone feel welcome. Thyme & Tonic delivers consistently. With their pretty Instagram ready outdoor dining and artfully presented signature cocktails, theres usually very little argument in suggesting this restaurant to a diverse group of friends. In addition to their largely plant-based menu (I believe they also serve fish), this restaurant is also certified kosher, to include their cocktails. To me, one of the best aspects of this restaurant are the slight changes in their menu from one visit to the next; I really enjoy the variety of offerings. From mushroom tacos, to Asian style noodles, to curried chick peas, Ive not had a bad meal here. My friends, on the other hand, have had more of a mixed bag. For example, a Chickn sandwich that was ordered turned out to be a rather tasteless, underseasoned piece of fried tofu. Thats really the only thing preventing me from giving Thyme & Tonic five stars, to be honest. But definitely give it a try. Bring a date or go with a group. Youll have a nice time.

Very delicious, organic food spot in the UWS. Highly recommend. We had the seafood stir fry and the saffron penne. The space is very open, which is hard to find in restaurants around this area. The staff is very helpful and available. They readily check on you throughout your visit, and you get a real friendly vibe within the restaurant. Great ambiance and will definitely be coming back.

I have been here some months ago actually but as a gluten intolerant person myself this was a really nice surprise!

  • Review 87 (2024-12-18 - Rating: 5)

Amazing service and impeccable food! Best spot in NYC!!!!

  • Review 88 (2022-10-20 - Rating: 4)

3.5/5I can see this place being a good local spot for vegetarians, and pescatarian on the UWS (lots of options were vegan and gluten free friendly as well). I wouldn’t particularly travel to come back here to grab a bite but I would come back again if I was near by and wanted drinks. It was not anything super special. The food was mediocre; the only thing that caught my attention was the fish in the fish tacos. The fish was actually really good but the overall taco was still meh. The drinks were good. The decor outside is cuter than inside. Staff was attentive and friendly.

  • Review 89 (2021-10-27 - Rating: 5)

Thyme & Tonic is a gluten-free restaurant and mostly vegan. The service here is wonderful, quick and friendly. I am celiac, and it was nice to have so many choices on a menu. I got the chicken tacos (tofu), and they were delicious!!! The sweet potatoes with spicy aioli were also good. The Good 4 You margarita was great! They didn’t skip on the tequila! If in NYC, you should go!

Being on GF diet I was stoked to find this place to eat and even have GF beer yessssss. I had lovely salmon burger on a warm fresh roll, the dressing on it was amazing with delish flavors. Oh before my entree I had a yummy butter squash soup with a beautiful array of fall spices. my beverages were terrific too GF beer as stated and a berry cocktail!!!

Best meal Ive had in quite a while - very chill atmosphere and wasnt expensive. Sort of an Asian fusion thing. Made my dish to order and with 7 people the bill came to $135 - Id go here again anytime.

Excellent place to go during your visit to NY! Food, drinks are amazing. Tailored recommendations about drinks, great staff always smiling and willing to do their best, specially the bartenders and Eduardo (one of the owners). This was my first visit and I will always visit Thyme and Tonic when my travels bring me to NY.PD. Do not forget to ask for the Cucumber Mezcalita, it was my favourite!

  • Review 104 (2021-11-04 - Rating: 5)

I have been coming to Thyme & Tonic since the restaurant opened and I have always loved the food and atmosphere. I recently hosted a private event here and they knocked it out of the park!First of all, the food (appetizers, entrees, dessert) was phenomenal. I worked with the owner and manager to create the ideal menu for my event - it was great that the restaurant was so flexible! All of our guests praised the food over and over. Everyone left very full and happy!Second, the drinks were superb. Trust the bartender - he is so creative and ANY drink he makes is absolutely delicious. Our guests favorite drink was an apple/vodka cocktail, which was truly the perfect autumn beverage.Last, I have to give a major shoutout to the whole staff for their incredible service. They went above and beyond to ensure this event was a success and they made us so happy. Planning the event was actually EASY due to their care and attention, and the service at the event was perfect! The staff helped us set up before the event (centerpieces, name cards, etc), then they helped us clean up after. They ensured everyone had food timely and also ensured everyone had enough food (seriously, they were extremely generous with the portions). If any guest had a question, I honestly never heard about it because the staff and T&T was on top of it!!! They impressed our 75 guests to such a high degree that MANY guests told me they are heading back to T&T for their next date night and birthday dinner. And personally... Im a fan for life!Including a few photos with this review. All photos were taken by Maria Sakr, NYC photographer.

I came here with 3 non-vegan friends on a Saturday night and we had a great experience.Food:Starters-Patatas bravas were delicious! Loved the spices and the diff textures. Cooked to perfect crisp!Quesadillas were soooo good. Wow! They were crunchy and the cheese melted so well. The flavors tasted authentically Mexican and I’d def order again.Main-Kale salad + crispy tofu was rly good. Kale was massaged well with flavor and I loved the crunch of the apples and the dressing was a good amount. Tofu was crispy af and cut in huge cubes. My friends ordered the quinoa bowl and it tasted and smelled like rotten food. Idk if it’s meant to be like that but they hated it and I don’t recommend. This is why I took off 1 star. Lol.Drinks- all delicious and worth to return for them!I ordered the coconut dreams and loved the balance of strong alcoholic taste with sweetness of coconut.Friends loved their drinks too.Service:A1. Everyone is so friendly and polite. We were the only ones there basically, but they were quick and professional.Ambiance:Amazing music and dope decor. It was my vibe 100%. They had drake playing at one point and it was just a dream meal for me.

Really nice space. Great varied menu with something for everyone, including an extensive vegan menu. The portions are pretty large as well. If you still have room, get the chocolate lava cake for dessert.

One of my favorite Upper West Side restaurants for a quick, healthy, and relatively inexpensive meal. Theres often no wait and they do have outdoor seating in the front in the Summer. You cant go wrong with *almost* anything on their brunch menu.

  • Review 109 (2023-04-08 - Rating: 4)

Big place with plenty of seating indoors and out. Decent happy hour menu including on weekends. Interesting and creative cocktails on the HH menu. The bartenders are busy but it didn’t take too long to order and get a drink. I tried the Mockingbird—refreshing, really nice mix of sweet and tart, and pretty boozy with gin. They have a full bar with lots of types of alcohol, although they didn’t seem to specialize in a large variety of any particular type.

  • Review 110 (2018-07-26 - Rating: 5)

The best takeout I have ever gotten. I had the miso salmon and the sauce was spicy, umani, and sweet, all at once. It was perfectly portioned and layed out beautifully in the container. The staff was kind and funny when I picked it up. I had to even reheat it when I got back and it was still amazingly perfect.

  • Review 112 (2012-11-04 - Rating: 4)

Really liked it here, the chicken cranberry salad was really well balanced, the veggie burger was really good and I just loved the sweet potato fries, so yummy and crispy. The place was a bit crowded but the wait was short and the waitresses really kind. Will definitely come bak (and try the taboulé and the maroccan lamb burger)

The spring rolls were AMAZING I should have just ordered those and the glass noodles were yummy too. My Daughters chicken tenders were however either not cooked or just tasted bad but in any event she got sick and and threw up soooo I guess Im saying no great options for children?!?!?!? But I would return🤷🏾‍♀️

  • Review 114 (2016-11-28 - Rating: 5)

This is the perfect place for our family which includes the meat and potatoes type, a vegetarian and a vegan. An extensive menu of healthy, high quality food at reasonable (for New York) prices. Service was above average. We had no wait on a Sunday evening.

Probably the only place Ive ever been to that gives me a huge sparkling water bottle... No plastic straws which is cool but at least they should get those paper straws because bring realistic theres probably bacteria from other people that dont brush... Food was amazing I suggest anything on the menu

  • Review 116 (2022-05-07 - Rating: 4)

Great cocktails, pretty good food. Their frying needs some tweaking since the onion rings were soggy. But the entrees were awesome.

  • Review 117 (2018-03-01 - Rating: 4)

It was good, the place is really clean. Everyone is so nice. There was no bartender and my undertrained waiter had all the tables and had to make drinks. Not his fault but service definitely suffered. I ended up having my appetizer for my main course. The food was good (needed spicy sauce) but dessert was a total sugar overlaod would not do the dessert again.Overall - it got a lazy 4/5... I will try it again

Went there for the first time last night and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Had a chicken sandwich, the parmesan truffle fries, the churros, and the thyme mocktail and everything was fabulous. Our server was so pleasant as well. As a GF person it’s so hard to find decent GF food that’s not just the same old options that are GF in the first place (like rice and so on). The vegan options are plenty and delicious as well. This is my new favorite restaurant. Will be coming back as often as I can!
