It is a classic diner.A very large menu with an all-day breakfast. It is very centrally located and a good option for people staying at the New Yorker Hotel to eat.The staff is sometimes unfriendly. -

The food was pretty good honestly. You come in and you’re sitted it’s busy but you usually get quick service I went around like midnight. The only reason I rated 4 stars is because the prices I paid around $20 for my Nutella French toast and we tipped. But this a great late night spot especially If you’re coming from a concert. -
Review 3 (2024-09-01 - Rating: 5)
Great service and an excellent selection of food available! The staff were attentive and on hand quickly if needed! We visited here twice during our stay at the hotel! -

Perfect place for jet laggers or sleepless night owls thanks to the 24h opening.Just tried the shrimp and avocado bowl. Very good! -
Review 5 (2024-11-19 - Rating: 4)
This was always my go-to diner for breakfast for years and just started commuting to NYC again. Its been renovated and the format has changed, which sounds nice but the prices are high and the portions shrunk. So many tourists... No longer a diner to grab a meal and run. The food is good, and its clean. Just depends what type of atmosphere you are looking for. -
Review 6 (2024-09-18 - Rating: 5)
Classic diner experience. Friendly staff, attentive service, a beautiful vintage interior, and an amazing variety of dishes, including vegetarian options. Its just like what you see in the movies! I hope places like this never disappear. -

Everytime I come here I am so happy and appreciative. The food is amazing. The people are all really really good people. I dont know where they find them but theyre so helpful. I love this place and I cant say enough good things. Ive been coming here for many years and its always consistent -

Food was not as amazing as I remembered, but when corrections were needed, the team made it happen! Service was phenomenal. Food came out fast! -

Fabulous & Famous diner in the tri state area - across from MSG & Penn Station -Right next door to the luxurious New Yorker Hotel...6 Train Subway outside. Open 24 Hours - which is accommodation at its best. Excellent service and delicious food. -

Great little diner and one of the few places we found open really late at night. -
Review 11 (2024-12-17 - Rating: 5)
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tick Tock Diner NY, and I must say it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions and reasonable prices. I particularly enjoyed my salmon dish and the heavenly slice of cheesecake that followed. The diner itself boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere, with beautiful interior design that adds to the overall charm. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that my visit was nothing short of perfect. I highly recommend Tick Tock Diner NY to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with top-notch food and service. -
Review 12 (2024-09-26 - Rating: 5)
Great place to go after a concert at MSG. They serve comfort food at reasonable prices & servings. Would recommend the Cesar salad, onion rings, and steak! -
Review 13 (2023-08-08 - Rating: 5)
We’ve went to the Tick Tock diner on 2 different days, so we were able to try both breakfast as dinner. The quality of the food is really good and the service was both times perfect. They make time to do a nice little chat and service all your needs. Only con is that they charge an extra amount when you want to pay by card. -
Review 14 (2024-12-07 - Rating: 5)
We recently visited Tick Tock Diner on 34th Street and had a great experience. We were seated promptly, and the food was served quickly. I ordered the Salmon Benedict, which was excellent, and the hashbrowns were cooked to perfection. The prices were surprisingly affordable, especially considering the prime location, just a block from Madison Square Garden. I would definitely return for another visit. -
Review 15 (2023-11-18 - Rating: 4)
Visited here shortly upon arriving in the city after watching several YouTube videos hyping it up and well, I was a bit underwhelmed - not in a total bad way though. There is an old school diner feel and atmosphere here which is pretty cool.I came in when it wasnt super packed and decided on getting the Steakhouse Burger with fries. You get a good sized burger with patty, American cheese, griddled onions, some steak sauce and Williamsburg bacon (thicker cut bacon Im guessing? Im sure it said pork belly in the description on the in-diner menu but online it says different?) Regardless though, it was a tasty burger. The steak sauce brings all of the ingredients together well and Im sure i could have finished a second if I wanted. The fries were warm and crispy and the iced coffee was a nice touch.Service was a little lacking (I never got checked up on to see how the food was or if I needed more water), but the waitress was kind and pleasant, which was nice. I might have come in after an extremely busy lunch or in between shifts so I cant knock the place for that. When youve worked with food for a long time, you know how it is.All in all, I had a pleasant visit and look forward to visiting again in the future and trying out the breakfast items. -
Review 16 (2025-01-01 - Rating: 5)
Fun art deco retro diner atmosphere. The food is wonderful and plentiful. They offer egg creams, a full menu, and homemade desserts. -
Review 17 (2024-04-21 - Rating: 4)
Good diner food, nothing special but what youd expect. Good variety. All day breakfast. The Beyond burger came on wheat bread instead of a bun and the server insisted that it was a bun, ha ha. Nice waffles. Coffee was very bitter. Typical diner setting. Server was efficient but abrupt. Very nice bathrooms. Very expensive. Hamburger was $20 but youre paying for the location. -
Review 18 (2018-08-06 - Rating: 4)
It was surprisingly GOOD! I ordered the Mediterranean veggie bowl with chicken which was pretty good, it was quite a big portion, very favorable and rich (for a dinner) my friends ordered the salmon fillet and some burgers and they all enjoyed their food. The service was pretty good as well and the place itself is kinda cute. -
Review 19 (2023-10-15 - Rating: 5)
One of the if not the friendliest diners in manhattan, even when busy the wait never seems to be too long. Staff are always welcoming and food is served quickly and hot. Always a regular go to place for me and one of the few places in NYC I keep going back too. Apple cinnamon, cream cheese pancakes are out of this world a must try!! -
Review 20 (2024-12-29 - Rating: 5)
Great omelette! We ate here 4 times in 5 days 🤩 -
Review 21 (2023-04-16 - Rating: 5)
Overall a nice experience here. Nice clean place, the staff took a little while to ask for our order but were friendly. Lot of healthy options. Vegetarian burger is very oaty, the salad bowl was great. Would come here again before a concert. -
Review 22 (2024-12-18 - Rating: 4)
Perfect spot to go get a bite to eat after seeing a late night movieThe chicken and waffles was good, but I enjoyed the hot chocolate more which was made with milkThe ambience is decent and quiet, but there was a vagrant who entered at one point, and was begging people for money. Thankfully they escorted him out before he could approach the table I was at, but that’s New York City for you. -
Review 23 (2024-03-26 - Rating: 5)
Delicious food, friendly staff nice ambient next to sybway and New Yorker Hotel.Try the Classic benedict eggs and pancakes (blueberries and apple pie). -
Review 24 (2023-07-26 - Rating: 5)
Even if you dont stay in the New Yorker, you should try this out if youre craving that diner that has something for everyone. They have generous portions, in fact I can never finish my meal. It tastes good and the service is decent, but not as personalable as a hometown establishment (its NYC which is to be expected).I have gone here four times when Ive stayed in the hotel, but did notice some locals coming and going. Its clean and has a comfortable atmosphere. The downfall is their coffee is not good... -
Review 25 (2024-01-13 - Rating: 4)
The food is amazing here. Love the chiptole chicken hero with fries. N so are the cocktails. The Jolly Rancher is superb. There are various food choices. However, the customer service here is a hit or miss. I guess it depends on what time of the day you come n if its busy. Nevertheless, I love the food, drinks n atmosphere. -
Review 26 (2023-02-18 - Rating: 5)
Loved this place. The menu was varied, the staff were lovely and service was quick. We ate here for breakfast and our evening meal nearly every day of our weeks holiday in Feb. The prices are very reasonable and the food was lovely. Can recommend the pancakes for breakfast and the salads and burgers for tea. -
Review 27 (2022-10-08 - Rating: 5)
A bustling diner right off Penn Station with a wide open filled with staple plates. Friendly service, clean table, very busy. Mostly tourist friendly but with New Yorker flavors and details. -
Review 28 (2021-06-29 - Rating: 5)
Very solid diner. I had a late breakfast there. Good waffles, good eggs, good bacon. Adequate coffee. Pretty inexpensive. Ill definitely go back when Im around there again. Great corner location for people watching. Very close to 34th St Penn Station and MSG. -
Review 29 (2024-10-01 - Rating: 5)

Tick Tock Diners breakfast is a delightful experience! The food is not only very good but also comes at an affordable price, making it a go-to spot for a satisfying morning meal. The menu offers a variety of options, ensuring theres something for everyone. The friendly service and cozy atmosphere add to the overall appeal, making Tick Tock Diner a fantastic choice for a tasty and budget-friendly breakfast in the heart of the city. -
Review 34 (2022-09-11 - Rating: 5)
Had a great brunch here on 9/7/22. Its a diner done right, glass and metal, with a varied menu. My companion had the smoked lox and caramelized frittata with avocado toast and I had the Beyond Meat burger, which turned out to be two thick patties on a bun with a side salad. Left content and full. -
Review 35 (2024-10-22 - Rating: 5)
Mmmmmmmm the food was busssss. we ordered french toast and an omelette, no complaints! 👅 price was relatively reasonable, the seating arrangement is a bit crammed, but it is your typical cozy american diner:) service was pretty quick! there are clean bathrooms downstairs as well. def would recommend if you’re nearby, it’s a short walk from madison square garden/the penn amtrak station (nyp)🔥🔥 -
Review 36 (2024-08-05 - Rating: 4)
Right by Penn station, convenient, touristy, long wait, fast service, noisy, crowded, difficult to find seats, they have some long tables in the center of the restaurant where people get to share tables. Family and large groups friendly.Price is on the cheaper side. Service was very efficient as for taking orders, but afterwards the foods did take awhile to come out. To judge the food by a diner restaurant quality it was pretty good.Definitely recommend this spot if you don’t have anything else pre planned. -
Review 37 (2023-06-27 - Rating: 5)
Good portion sizes and very good food. Most restaurants that serve apple cinnamon pancakes just throw some canned topping on top, but not this place. Tick Tock Diner actually puts chopped-up bits of apple into the pancakes, so that gets major points from me. The topping they come with made it even better. The waffle with banana, Nutella, and peanut butter was delightful as well, especially since they didnt skimp on the toppings! My only complaint was that the staff seemed a bit rude and mostly focused on just getting people in and out as fast as possible. That is to say that they also seemed rather apathetic. However, luckily my server wasnt bad, which was nice. Overall, I wouldnt mind going back to try some of the other unique menu items. -

Review 41 (2022-10-17 - Rating: 4)

Review 44 (2024-11-20 - Rating: 4)
It’s located in one of the retail spaces, which are part of the building which houses the Wyndham New Yorker Hotel. 🍳Portions were small but the food quality was good. Pricing was not so-focused on delving value, as one expects with a diner, but not to the point that it was overpriced. There wasn’t a host there to seat you, so you sort of have to do it on your own. The waiter was the kind of person who is there for decades and knows the business of being a server to the point of being an institution within the industry - but not because it is how the business operates. He did what he could to make the best of the experience, but it’s clear he knows why people aren’t too happy. Very much a no-frills arrangement. However, ambiance was really modern and lively. It was here that Nick Jonas performed his hit “Bacon” live, together with Ty Dolla Sign at the 2016 VMA’s. -
Review 45 (2024-11-26 - Rating: 5)
Fast service but expensive as heck. Coming from Oregon or any other moderate col place you will be hit w/ sticker shock. Ive had chicken and waffles for under 20 countless times. Servers were friendly and direct. -
Review 46 (2022-08-26 - Rating: 5)
Great at least for breakfast. I had sausage, egg, cheese on a bagel and really enjoyed it. The staff were efficient and attentive. Close to Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. -

A nice diner in the middle of the city, but very calm inside. Many tables, open 24/7 and they serve breakfast around the clock, big portions. -

Review 51 (2024-06-16 - Rating: 4)
First impression is everything. it’s a located in a nice convenient spot. The place is nice and clean and a great atmosphere. The waitress seems a bit cold but the food is hot and looks delicious. -
Review 52 (2022-01-10 - Rating: 4)
The food is good quality, albeit pricey for diner standards. You are definitely paying for the area. Staff was pleasant but not very attentive. Please flag someone down if you are in need of service, seems like their standard. -
Review 53 (2024-07-12 - Rating: 5)
Giant thick pancakes x3 and eggs cooked exactly how you like them. This was our perfect breakfast destination. Super polite and gracious staff who obliged me with a take-away container (it was more than you’d get for $AUD16 anywhere in Sydney). Coffee wasn’t too bad when you ask for Americano either. -
Review 54 (2023-05-10 - Rating: 5)
A great diner with a cool atmosphere and decor. Check out the lobby of the famous hotel The New Yorker while you are there. Big portions of food and care put into in. -
Review 55 (2024-06-30 - Rating: 5)
The food was wonderful- good portions for the price and the service was excellent! It was also a very warm and relaxing environment when I went around 5am, with beautiful interior design. Dont forget to look up at the ceilings if you sit in the back! -
Review 56 (2024-10-26 - Rating: 5)
Large portions that will fill your belly -
Review 57 (2024-08-16 - Rating: 5)
Quick service and classic American diner menu. The food was good, and portions large as would be expected from an American diner. -
Review 58 (2024-09-05 - Rating: 4)
Great place to chill when you work late hours (like theater or bars). Service is good even in the wee hours of the morning. You might get the occasional drunk party come in, but the staff makes sure you have a great experience; whether a post show drunk meal with friends, or a one- on- one date. -
Review 59 (2021-11-09 - Rating: 5)
Good portions for a great price. Nice variety of food on the menu. Its traditional diner food so not exactly fine dining but it tasted great. The staff was busy but still attentive and polite. -
Review 60 (2024-11-22 - Rating: 4)
Finally tried this place after years. Great location and fun traditional diner interiors, our server was friendly and attentive . Burger was good, not amazing but prices are fine Will go back . -
Review 61 (2022-11-22 - Rating: 4)
Really really yummy lemon ricotta pancakes, the frosting / cream they had on them was fantastic, no need for syrup. Omelette was pretty good and they were super quick, luggage storage and breakfast for two in 45 minutes, in and out and off to the train. -

Review 64 (2024-06-20 - Rating: 5)
Food was fast, hot and delicious. We ate there both days of our stay. Both servers were awesome. Friendly and attentive.Very reasonable prices. -
Review 65 (2021-06-16 - Rating: 5)
Make sure when you go its in the evening the cook there is amazing. The morning cheff definitely needs work! What scared me was the bacon, absolutely no taste and needs a little help figuring out steak temperatures. But for dinner you will get all you ask for and more. -
Review 66 (2019-04-03 - Rating: 4)
This was my first time at this diner. I will say that the food was very good indeed. The next time I will visit NY, I will have to stop in this place again. Great selection on the menu and the prices are reasonable for the location. -
Review 67 (2020-01-19 - Rating: 5)
My friend recommended this place to me, so I took the opportunity to come here for breakfast when I was visiting NYC. The diner is on the ground floor of a very nice art deco building. The interior is very retro, but comfortingly familiar. The selection is enormous, but I settled on the Mexican omelette (jalapenos, peppers, avocado, cheese) with a side of hash browns, toast and coffee. Very reasonable price. Service was good and quick to refill the coffee. Loads of space (two/four seaters and space to accommodate more). Recommend - good place to calorie up before going on a nice long walk around NYC. Also very close to the Garden for a pre or post match meal! -
Review 68 (2024-10-19 - Rating: 5)

Review 72 (2024-11-25 - Rating: 4)
Made reservations in person for me & 2 friends, one blind, 2 with back problems. I asked & Maria selected the the seats I needed for the next day. There was ample seats in that place. This guy came and kicked us out of there, and sent us all the way to the back, in a corner, by a booth with 2 chairs.I am so ashamed of having told my friends this was a very nice place! It was! Until that tall man pushed us out of the table- I understand there were 12 people - the same long table in the front was totally empty. We HAD reservations! He couldn’t care less!Well, here I am, complaining! He ruined my planned wonderful afternoon! We 3 came from quite 3 quite a ways from there. I came from NJ, one came from almost the end of Brooklyn and someone else had to take a special trip been blind. That man didn’t stop until he forced us out of our seats!! 2 new customers who believed in my words: It’s very nice, I’ve been there many times- but I never thought the service would be so disgustingly rude unprofessional and totally uncaring. I would give, for that horrible afternoon. A minus zero for service poor attitude towards 3 ladies, that very tall man was anything a gentleman is supposed to be.Maria, who made my reservations the afternoon before, and Jose went out of their way to be there for us! Maria brought the blind lady to me and settled her very, very nicely/ thank you, Maria, thank you, Jose a gentleman in every way! Both gave me excellent service both very respectful. Everything was going fine that Sunday afternoon until that animal pushed us out as if we were dirtying the place! You just lost a faithful customer. I’m so embarrassed!Vivian Estrada-Mora West New York, NJ -

On the way to Highline Park we made a short stop for breakfast.Typical US Diner, the way you imagine it.My wife took pancakes and I had a bacon-cheese egg sandwich. The pancakes were good, the sandwich didnt convince me that much.Coffee as usual in the refill service. Our service was very friendly and in spite of full restaurant very attentive. The price/performance ratio was ok, I would eat here again, but then order another menu. The toilets were downstairs and very clean. For people with disabilities, there was an elevator. -

Review 81 (2024-06-04 - Rating: 4)
Good food close to Penn station. Clean and good service. The pastrami could have been sliced thinner and the chicken sandwich with a bit more heat from the honey. I liked that the chicken wasnt greasy, good portions. -
Review 82 (2017-02-02 - Rating: 5)
Excellent burgers with excellent vegetables! Very comfortable as place and very friendly workers. Very fast orders (it took less than 5 mins since we order the burguers til we eat them!) From the restaurant you can see the Top of the Rock. 1 min to Penn Station and 4 mins to Times Square. They also speak in Spanish if you dont know English! -
Review 83 (2022-12-18 - Rating: 4)

Great breakfast, really good service from our waitress, had a laugh and joke with us. Wish we went more often! -
Review 87 (2024-01-09 - Rating: 4)
The place has been nicely redone however for a diner the menu was on the limited side. Theyve realized that there was no need for a 20 page spiral menu so they pulled back n offered their most popular items which were done creatively n tasty (although eggs cant look like anything but eggs). My shrimp n avocado salad was yummy even though its crunchy water but the shrimp was served warm n flavorful. I would definitely frequent the place again. Moderately priced. -
Review 88 (2019-11-01 - Rating: 4)
Good portions, traditional looking but we expected a bit better food. Not bad at all but we had better breakfast in NYC. -
Review 89 (2024-09-12 - Rating: 5)
The look of the dinner is very old school and its great. Place was clean, service was wonderful and the food was absolutely stellar! Got the pastrami burger and I will remember it forever. -
Review 90 (2023-12-18 - Rating: 5)
So part of visiting America was to try a diner too. Taking into account diners are somewhere to go to get easy no fuss food that is tasty this place nails it. It isnt cheap but when you take new York prices into account I think its reasonable enough. Ate here a few times during my visit and found the staff to be polite albeit no nonsense which I enjoyed. Breakfast coffee is never ending if you so wish. The pancakes with bacon and eggs were great. Toilets are available downstairs. The staff do prefer if you tip in cash, with there being a charge if you pay by card which many other places didnt. -

After seeing a show that ended at 11pm, was happy to find this 24hr diner. Very big and clean. Food was good, had the all day breakfast, and portions are huge. Much better than standing outside in the cold eating a hot dog from street vendor. -

Maybe the food is not a mastery however the vibe in here makes up for. The churro waffle was very good. Enjoy this diner. -

Great American diner food. Fulfilling and solid. Our waiter had a bad day but still did a wonderful job. Even helped us take a picture when he saw us struggling. I usually come late during the night and this is my go to for decent accessible food -

Overall it’s good, we’ve been here for couple of times and keep coming back, BUT I had bad luck with the breakfast and if they don’t serve oatmeal certain times a day, why would it be on all day breakfast menu?Other than that, the food is consistently good. I liked quinoa bowl with poached eggs. -

My go to diner when I’m around midtown! Lovely staff and great food! The mimosas are great and so is the black and white milkshake! -

Quick and polite service. We ordered the Novie Bagel Deluxe and the Classic Eggs Benedict. Both were delicious (that hollandaise sauce 👌) -

Classic American diner, with great food - I opted for the basic Bagel with cream cheese with a side of fries. Their portions are super filling - especially the super delicious waffle fries. Mac & Cheese balls are good too. -

Good comfort food, reasonable prices, fast and efficient service.Cosmas, our waiter, was very accommodating and friendly, as friendly as one can be, given the quantity of customers each waiter has.The ambience was OK and the tables are packed in pretty tightly. Its a little challenging to eat here in cold weather given theres little space for coats, etc. -

Good prices and delish food. Also if you stay at the New Yorker you get seated first so come through the lobby side entrance. -

Went there for lunch with some out of town friends yesterday. The food was great and so was the ambience. I had an omelette and mashed potatoes and I’d recommend both of them. We were all a bit short on time and the food came out in a timely manner. If you’re near Penn station and are looking for a nice place, check them out. -

Great food. The service is quick. Our booth was a little small from table to booth ratio but loved the environment. -

The food location and price all matched. Thats something hard to find in midtown Manhattan. I went basic with the deluxe pancakes, 2 eggs sunny side up, bacon and coffee. My stomach was very happy. -

Last stop on a one-day whirlwind tour of NYC. Conveniently located near Penn Station. My mum and I each had a hot chocolate and we shared a slice of New York cheesecake. Cosy atmosphere and our server had a good sense of humour. -

I was extremely pleased by everything about this diner. We were greeted by friendly staff (at least 6 different employees) and I couldn’t believe how nice they were. The fruit bowl, Oreo pancakes, PASTRAMI BURGER 🤤 and everything on their breakfast menu so far.. are incredible. One thing I need to stress about this place as well, is that the food arrived to our hotel room literally within 10-15 minutes 🤩 oh; and the food was very hot! So many other restaurants deliveries end up being lukewarm 😑 Tip the staff because they don’t get any better than this. I forgot to mention the cheesecake ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ -

If youre looking for fast service in midtown with all the feel of a classic diner, you cant go wrong with this standby. Ive been going to this place for years. Its a favorite of both visitors and folks from in town. Whether its a late night treat or an early morning breakfast, Youre going to get fast service with some of the best comfort food around. Affordable and surprisingly so given its location. The staff is very friendly and attentive. -

This is a clean, well maintained bar or restaurant atmosphere. Right on the river with a dock for walking and boats. Danielle was our bartender/ server and was absolutely amazing. So kind and friendly, she made our visit more enjoyable! The food is always good and the views are relaxing along with music not too loud so as not to have a conversation. All around, it is a great place to kick back and relax on your own, with family, friends, or a date night. -

Had a good meal good service and very fast with the orders. Must be clear in what you want to eat and drink, no devation from the menue though. The prices were cheaper than anywhere else and the choice was wide ranging, not just Burgers & chips. 4 of us had a good meal here for £100 New York is not cheap to eat anymore. -

This is a NYC institution, at least for us. Food. Amazing. Service? You feel like youre in a Seinfeld episode where youre half being ignored, and at times being talked down to. This actually makes it fun. Weve been several times over the years. Piece of advice, do NOT reserve a table on Open Table. You will not be able to fight your way through the crowd to be seated. Stand in line, wait your turn, and enjoy the amazing food. -

We arrived in New York City at 11:00 p.m. and did not have a hotel until the next day. Initially, we remained in the attractive Amtrak waiting area of the moynihan building, but they close at 1:00 a.m. and everyone has to leave. We then went to an very plain Amtrak waiting area in Penn station which at least felt safe. That also eventually closed up and we went to the Tic To Dinner at 2:00 in the morning and had coffee, breakfast, and hung out until our next train at 5:00 a.m. staff treated us very well, came over and talked to us about travels and we had just a wonderful time. We would definitely go back. Food was great, lox bagels were excellent. We will be forever grateful that we had a safe place to hang out in the middle of the night in New York City. -
