    When I came in, I was expecting moderate customer service and food, but was met with the exact opposite. The service was exceptional, the food was fantastic, and overall the experience was very enjoyable. Somebody came to take my order very quickly and had a pleasant attitude. After ordering, I only waited five minutes for my meal to arrive. Staff often checked in and asked if there was anything I needed. This diner was above average, and I would recommend to anybody in the area.

    Im town visiting, wasnt sure what to expect. Definitely exceeded expectations. Wonderful experience. Wonderful staff, very friendly and attentive. Food was great. Huge portions. Definitely will visit again if I come back to New York.

    The food was good and generous, the service at the table was friendly. I would have given it 5 stars if not the girl at the entrance which was rude! And unpleasant for no reason. You hate your job/ hate people? Then leave. I really thought of going from there bc of that, but there was another girl, shorter with a white shirt (the other one wear black) that was nice. Too bad that she is ruine the score for this place.

    Everything about this place is awesome! The service was incredible. Every single person that walked by our table checked on us. The food was very quick and cooked perfectly. The portions were very generous and great quality. The atmosphere was very cozy on a cold day and very nicely decorated. I highly recommend a visit to this wonderful place if you are anywhere in the Time Square area.

    Had a little bit of time before my matinee and decided to grab a quick lunch. Found this diner and decided to check it out. I sat right at the counter and was seated immediately. The staff were super friendly and attentive. After looking at the menu I decided to go with a BLT and of course a coffee lol The coffee was pretty average, not good enough to make me want a second cup and perhaps a little pricey at almost $4, but Im a caffeine junkie. The BLT was fantastic. It was my first time trying this sandwich with rye bread and that might be my new go-to. The flavors were fantastic. The tomatoes were super fresh. The bacon was perfectly crispy and the lettuce was great. Service was out of this world, everyone was friendly and I love that there was a window into the kitchen so that you could see the chef cooking in the back. Typical diner feel, which was really great. 100% I would go back here.

    Food was delicious. Portion sizes were MASSIVE. Even though the food was so good, we had plenty left to take home. Chicken bacon avocado sandwich was amazing. Grilled shrimp over rice was delicious. Macaroni was really really good. Really everything was good. And service was quick and they were great. Come hungry!!

    Discovered yet another gem of a diner in NY, and its safe to say its quickly become one of my favorites. The Apple Caramel Crumb Tart and toast were beyond words, simply legit and delicious. Its one of those places that keeps pulling you back in, making you fall in love with it a little more each visit. But the real surprise was the Egg Cream, served up in a delightful vanilla flavor. Contrary to what I initially thought it might taste like (somewhere close to eggnog?), it was wonderfully creamy with a light, velvety, and slightly fizzy texture. The vanilla was hearty and present, making the drink resemble a toned-down milkshake. Absolutely loved it and its apparently a must-try NY diner classic. The service was attentive, adding to the overall great experience. Although a bit more explanation about the Egg Cream would have been appreciated (it seemed so normal here that our server was a bit stuck on how to describe it), it was a minor hiccup in an otherwise fantastic dining experience. Definitely a spot worth checking out for anyone looking to enjoy some true diner delights in New York.

    We needed a big breakfast before driving home and this seemed like a good place to try based upon the ratings. We were very satisfied with our choice! Its not very big (Im guessing ~60 patrons can eat at one time) and reminds you of a diner from the 70s with booths and seats at the counter. The food was freshly prepared and the portions were huge! The pancakes were fluffy, poached eggs perfectly done, home fries that had great flavor, soft French toast, and homemade spicy sausage! 😋 The staff were very friendly and attentive. I will say the prices were a bit higher than I expected (with a generous tip breakfast for 3 was $100), but I definitely feel we got our moneys worth!

    What a place to eat! The portions are fantastic! Had the chicken and rice and saved half the plate so I could have more later! One of the best ruebens my husband has ever had. Cheeseburgers were nice and juicy and mac n cheese was homemade and I wish I could duplicate it. Def worth a stop. Service was fast and workers were friendly!

    We did an overnight to see Xmas lights in Time Square. I happened to stumble across this place due to the accessibility and connivence to the port authority. It is a certified winner … highly recommend. Prompt and courteous service. The food was very fresh and flavorful.

    Amazing! Traditional yet not too typical American diner. Service was exceptional and friendly as our server quickly greeted us and food and drinks were cleared as soon as we finished, all with great attitude. Food was cooked quickly, tasted great, portions were more than adequate and the presentation was not sloppy. Traditional recipes were not just the same old, but custom ingredients were added. Stuffed french toast is a must try and so is the fresh-squeezed oj. The atmosphere was inviting and retro-like. It was a full house without a cramped feeling or sacrifice in service quality. Location was within walking distance from our hotel in Times Square. Premises appeared accessibility friendly. Price was affordable and value was great. Overall we felt welcome and appreciated.

    Very tasty eggs benedict !I love the coffee refills. Its always amazing to me as we dont have that in Europe.The only downside was that I felt rushed to leave once I was done eating. But at the same time its a busy place so I understand :)

    This place was amazing, it truly blew us away on many levels. First, the food was very good, even the coffee, and especially the french fries. Second, the service was amazingly fast, like nothing Ive ever seen... literally our food was on the table 2 minutes after ordering, like they were reading our minds. And it wasnt just a one-time thing, we ate here 3 straight days during our visit to Manhattan, with super fast service every day. Finally, the staff was super friendly, especially Javier, Alex, and Steve. They made us feel like we were the only ones there, yet I saw them treating other tables exactly the same way. If youre reading this dont hesitate to pick Times Square Diner & Grill to eat!

    We came here on a Friday evening and was seated right away and once we placed our orders (which the servers memorized (very impressed)) the food was hot and came out very quickly. We got burgers, fries, a bagel, an omelette and a steak sandwich and everyone loved their food! The French fries were some of the best I’ve had out in a long time! Definitely worth getting them as a side! Additionally, all the employees were so nice and the vibe was also nice! Great place to grab a bite to eat near Times Square!

    Found this diner on Google Maps. It is around the corner from where we were staying. Great food, cozy place. The hamburger with cheddar cheese was great tasting, thick patty, and great fries. Grilled salmon with esperagus and white rice was great. Onion soup(not pictured) tasted great.

    An easy walk from the Port Authority bus terminal. We arrived at 9am on a Saturday. There was a 15 minute wait, but that was to be expected with the holiday season. The line moved quickly. Service was fast and friendly. Our food came out in what felt like 5 minutes. Omelets and French toast were delicious and perfectly cooked. Would highly recommended!

    Came here by a referral from a local. Breakfast was excellent. I had the Spicy Sausage Benedict and my wife had the Spicy Sausage Italian Omelette. We both loved our food and highly recommend coming here. Service was perfect as well. I would definitely come back again.

    There are both average and great menu options. Overall the food tasted nice and none of our mixed party of kids and adults had any complaints. The service was fantastic. They are attentive and efficient and offer helpful advise. We liked the s smoked salmon wrap, Athenian Omelet, and Banana Blast French toast. Hot drinks were also pretty good but more variety would be welcome. Its of the very few options around Time Square with great seating and reasonable prices.

    We came for breakfast on 4/27/24. I have a gluten allergy. I ordered scrambled eggs, potatoes, and bacon (it also comes with toast, but I obviously told them bc of gluten to hold the bread) I also got the seasonal fruit which was blueberries and strawberries. Everything was delicious! The best part was I didn’t get glutened. My daughter got the pancakes and a hot chocolate and said they were very good. The pancakes were HUGE! (I didn’t get a picture of them). My aunt got an omelet and she said it was very good as well. There was a line and we waited maybe 5 mins. The waiter was very friendly and once we ordered the food came out really fast. Highly recommend!!

    What can I say about this place?No frills diners with generous portions in the shortest possible time you can imagine.This was introduced by a friend of mine who saw me visiting NYC for the first time. The space isnt very big but it was packed with people (I assume mainly tourists?)I ordered the classic pancakes which were soft and fluffy and very big in portion (I wanted to finish everything but Id failed). My friend ordered omelette with potatoes and likewise, he cant finish it as well, as the portion was huge (for Asians living in Asia).Overall highly recommended for people visiting NYC for a hearty breakfast if you are staying within Times Square.

    Old School Diner with breakfast all day. Great prices, generous portions and sneaky cocktails. My family and I dined here on Sunday during breakfast hours. My husband says this is the best corn beef hash hes EVER had, made with real corn beef chucky style. My daughters Loaded Time Square Breakfast portion size was so huge I think thats at least 4 breakfasts. I ordered the Fish tacos because the breakfast menu wasnt pescatarian friendly (also egg allergy) and they werent good at all, way too fishy!! Everyone else LOVED their breakfast and would return.

    Really nice place. Ordered the Caesar Salad and Chicken Gyro. Both were really good. The Tzatziki sauce was really good too. Definitely worth the price for both. Service was quick and nice. NOT VEGAN FRIENDLY. Google said it was and there is no vegan options let alone vegetarian really.

    This spot is a must every time we visit NYC. The service is friendly and accommodating. HUGE portions of food and their mimosas were fantastic. Try the stuffed French toast or Times Square breakfast. You’ll need to be rolled out in a wheel barrel!

    Ive never bothered to write a review on anywhere before no matter how good it was. This place however is the first exception. The service here was the best I have ever had truly. I couldnt believe how fast and efficient they were. Place was extremely busy yet only a 10 minute wait for a party of 4. Need a refil? Dont worry you dont even have to ask theyll be on it right away. The food also was incredible. Very cozy feeling for sure. I have been left very impressed.

    I have been here for the brunch on a Sunday and it was a long waiting line, when I reached there. Thankfully I was alone, and so managed to grab a place without waiting. I ordered a glass of orange juice which was good but super super expensive ! They even did not ask refill either. The food was two eggs and potato and sausages. The food was yum, just lack of salt ! The potato ( like hash brown) was super tasty ( when I added some salt to it by myself ). The place was super busy and the service was fast.

    Perfect place to start your day! Awesome food, quick service, and great coffee. They do not take reservations so there may be a wait, but we sat at the bar and they got us right in. Had a veggie omelette and potatoes; both were excellent. Even if there is a short wait, its worth it! Trust me!

    Service and meals were amazing! Prices are a little steep. I would suggest offering meals for smaller appetites. We ordered a Reuben, turkey dinner, and cream cheese filled French toast with strawberries. Definitely a great choice in Times Square!

    We chose this Diner as our first official New York breakfast, cause it was pretty close to our hotel and it has high ratings.I ordered the egg Benedict with Turkey bacon and hash browns.     We loved this eatery! It was right around the corner from our hotel and we ate there twice because it was so good and such a lively place. Huge portions that were delicious comfort food that one one would expect from a NYC diner. Just go and dont mind a bit of a wait to get seated. They keep the line moving and serve you quick, but not rushed. 5 stars!

    The food here is so YUMMY! I had the French Onion Soup and Turkey Dinner! SUGGESTION: If someone orders these two dishes, please give the soup after, because its so tasty, when I ate the Turkey Dinner after, it didnt taste as good because the soup is so full of taste.     This diner left a wonderful impression on me for being a first time customer. I appreciated them asking for vaccination cards from everyone. Even though it was packed we were quickly seated. The waiter was attentive and the food was absolutely amazing! There were four people at the table. We had so much food on our plate/table it looked like we needed to add another table. Great food for the price! Not one complaint from me. I highly recommend and Ill definitely will come back.

    My husband had a delicious burger with scrumptious french fries. I had a grilled cheese with tomato sandwich. It was the best grilled cheese I have ever had in a restaurant! The waiter was attentive. I dont know if its usually cash only, but it was when we were there. We definitely recommend it.

    What do you do when you have a really good meal at a diner near your hotel, go back for breakfast! Originally my goal was not eat more than 1 meal at each establishment while visiting NYC for my first time - I mean, like there so many to choose from. I enjoyed my diner enough I broke my own rule and was glad I did. While I was still trying to come to grips with NYC prices, I felt like I was getting good deal here when considering the quality of the food, service and diner in general. In the dinner photo, you will notice that my wife had a salad, oddly enough a number of my french fries kept disappearing. The chocolate chip pancakes from breakfast were my daughters. She asked for some whipped cream to go with them and as you can see, they were generous with the add on. Great place, give a try some time.

    Whoa...this place is something out of Taxi Driver in what looks like any NYC hole in the wall...yeah, yeah, yeah diner. Step inside and you get the vibe...were doin Diner vibe with a step up...its 12 years old and doin it right. All the diner classics but some with a twist and some wringers– tuna tartar, avocado toast, et al. All of which in a magical diner setting hidden behind a British racing green facade–almost hiding its magical diner setting. Classic BLT on white bread...served fresh with lots of bacon. Their french onion soup is made fresh daily. Top shelf friendly welcoming service at very reasonable prices...and youre in New York Citys Hells Kitchen!

    Great service we were seated immediately upon arrival with no reservation. Water was brought to the table the first time we met the waiter. He was very kind and answered all our questions. There were tons of options including breakfast all day, lots of kid friendly items too. Adult beverages were tempting but I passed on this occasion.The portions were huge! We should have shared food. The pulled pork sandwich was larger than my kids face. She enjoyed it but only ate half. I tried a bite but didnt like the BBQ sauce they used. I had a quesadilla it was super cheesey in a good way. The salsa was a washed out reddish color but did not taste like salsa.They were very busy when we were there so the (Im making an assumption) manager got us our check. I would go here again on a future trip.

    It was my first visit to NYC and I thought I’d stop in and have some dinner here at Times Square Diner and Grill. I love Reuben sandwiches and this Reuben sandwich was absolutely delicious!!! The meat was so tender and the Thousand Island dipping sauce was perfect. The sandwich itself was so big I could’ve had leftovers, but it was too good not to eat all at once. I ordered the Cajun fries and had a very refreshing freshly squeezed lemonade to go with my sandwich. Everything was exceptional!!! Atmosphere and service were also great!     The food here is amazing. We ordered the triple decker sandwich and it was huge with a double serve of sweet potato fries. It was a great meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and we left happy with the experience. We will be back for breakfast for sure! 😁😁😁😁

    It was the service for me. You never know when youre going to get a rude staff or a nice staff when walking into any place nowadays. There was 6 of us and we called ahead of time before heading there to see how long the wait would be. They said give it about 10 minutes. When we got there, we checked in with hostess, then we waited about 15 minutes and next thing you know we get called in ! It was a saturday around 12-1pm so its hustle and bustle time. We got very lucky getting seated within 15 minutes. But we didnt mind waiting if it were to take longer because everywhere else nearby had a longer wait time. So we got our food ordered, the waiters were great. The food came out in a timely manner. The waiters kept checking in to see how everything was and it was just overall nice! The food was good! Its a diner so it did its job by feeding us lol Most of us ordered breakfast items. My sister LOVED the Mac and cheese bowl. I forget the exact name for it but it had a nice crust to the top and the flavor just melted in your mouth. Breakfast Sausages werent dry. Sometimes sausages are dry at certain diners but these were juicy! French toast was great. Overall the service was amazing and that will make me come back again the next time I visit NY.     Everything was delicious!! Taste home cooked, beautiful servings, the aroma of the food makes your mouth water. Giant chocolate chip pancakes, California omelette and the potatoes 😋, I wasn’t sure in ordering the huevos rancheros but I am soo happy I did! Did not disappoint! I cleaned the plate .     Good brunch location. They get packed but the staff knows what they are doing. The hostess tells you upfront how long it will take and the wait staff are busy bodies that work hard and fast not just standing around talking. We had the banana crunch toast and trio omelet.     My boyfriend and I had gone for dinner and it was super good! The tables were socially distanced, the staff were all incredibly kind, the restaurant itself seemed clean.     Went before seeing Wicked and was shocked how speedy service was considering it is right around the corner from the theater. We were seated immediately. Our waiter was so courteous and attentive. The food was delicious. We had the chicken fingers appetizer and meatballs and spaghetti and the gyro platter for the meal. Both come with a starter salad. All the portions were HUGE and everything was delicious. Would definitely return next time I head to the theater.

    Such a wonderful gem of a place! My last visit to NYC was 5 years ago. We ate at this diner every day for breakfast. So for this trip, we tried it again and had just as great of an experience. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The food was brought out quickly and is a great value. We ate there every morning of this trip and by the last day, the waiter asked if we wanted our “usual.” The fact they remembered us and our order was just a bonus!     I can’t say enough wonderful things about the Times Square Diner & Grill! Aside from the food being delicious, the service was outstanding (we were there multiple times and will absolutely go back)! Everyone was so kind, thoughtful, and welcoming. In addition, Leo went out of his way to help accommodate my gluten intolerance.     Had a quick visit to NYC and decided to make this the first stop for breakfast. I chose this place and had it on my Google to do list for a few weeks because of the interior design. I thought it was really nice and low to mid century modern. Definitely did not disappoint because the atmosphere inside of the diner was really cute.The waiter that took care of us at the bar was extremely kind, very friendly and helpful. The food was pretty good. I personally wasn’t blown away by my French toast (it tasted like the grill a bit) - I thought it was a little bit high, but considering it is New York, and this was in a very touristy area I think it was fair enough. It’s a nice stop to consider for sure.

It’s an amazing spot for tourists to visit you’ll wanna go there always like I do. And shopping area amazing and let’s not forget about the food it’s 100% amazing

    What a perfect place for breakfast. Staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and the pancakes were enormous. With top ups on our tea and coffee we were more than happy to tip generously when receiving our check. Can highly recommend this diner if you are in the area. Clean and comfy seating areas and great atmosphere.

    Only a short distance from Times square but so much better than the chains offered on Times square,the food is good quality for a fair price and the staff are attentive,one word of caution, the portions are generous !

    Being a tiny bit generous on the food rating, other than the house salad which was surprisingly delicious and memorable. BUT the service was so great. Very friendly, attentive, funny. Finally, decor and ambiance was great and memorable.

    You can get good food there wherever you desire during the day... this place is so good that I went yesterday at 2 am and it was almost full... I get the chili bowl which was amazing... Caesar’s salad with chicken as well and a BLT sandwich was perfect... they have huge portions also with good prices... also you have to try the Greek style French fries with feta on the top... service was good and very quick... everything came out warm also... cosy atmosphere and clean restaurant...

    This is an authentic diner experience . It gets very busy on the weekend, however you might have to queue up for a short time. All of it is worth it however, because the food is exceptional and the staff work very hard to keep everything moving. The food quality is really good and you wont find any better in that part of Manhattan.

    We went here for lunch yesterday, and traveling, sometimes anywhere will just have to do. Then we found this gem, and this would easily become our favorite go-to restaurant if we lived in the city! They are so fast, kind, and dont even need to write your special orders down and come out with huge portions in less than ten minutes! It far exceeded my expectations over any restaurant, and I can honestly say, anytime we get to visit the city, we are paying a visit to a fantastic diner that makes you feel at home. They have everything for anyone!!! The food is some of the best I have had in... I cannot remember how long!!! Perfection!!!

    This place was absolutely fantastic. We went here after a day out in New York, and we were thoroughly impressed. Firstly, the staff are super friendly and served us quickly. The food also arrived promptly and the meal sizes were large and absolutely delicious. I’d recommend the steak sandwich in particular. The place generally has a nice vibe too. The only criticism is that they didn’t have Coke Zero and some of the cushioned seat areas are a little tight, so you may want to avoid those if you’re tall! However, overall this place was excellent and I’d definitely come back!
