    Okayyy, even though I never win my APA Pool match __yet_ since playing at the beginning of the Fall season, I still love this one-pool-table bar: so spacious and so veryhigh ceiling(maybe because I am a shorty?But otherwise, its really high it could almost touch the sky! Err, yeah, thats last part was indeed an exaggeration. But, check them out! You do not need a small stick playing in this one pool table bar like most pool bars I went to. Just saying.🌹🎱

    This place is a great spot for a fun and chill night out with friends. Our group loves to play pool and this is one of our new go to places! The staff was beyond friendly and are the main reason we want to come back!

    I live in London, but I go here every time I visit New York. Ask Smokey for a joke and a Bourbon recommendation. He never disappoints. Rest of the the staff are great too. Easily my favourite bar in Manhattan.

    Cant express how much my Father and me enjoyed this place. We randomly stumbled into this place from little Italy and ended up liking it soo much we went the very next day and spent pretty much the whole night here. We were treated very good by the regulars, rounds were flying from the left and the right! Joe is take no bs kinda guy with a huge heart and great sense of humor, my kind of people. Nancy was the sweetest and put up with the Jets loosing very well. The vibes are great here. Good selection of beer and spirits. Definitely a dive bar but at the top of its game. You may get lucky to have a beer with a local celebrity and take in his really cool art work.

    Great spot to enjoy some beers and hangout at the bar. Drinks are very reasonably priced and I love the cozy atmosphere! They have awesome beers on tap and I cant wait to return to try them all 🍺

    My single favorite bar in NYC - hands down.Atmosphere is great, the beer selection is solid and the bartenders are the nicest people in Lower Manhattan.The crowd that frequents this place is pleasant and overall makes for a great drinking time.

    Victor was a sweetheart and very patient with our small group. It was the first bar we went to tonight where I didn’t feel like a “burden” to the bartender. I took a few minutes to figure out what to drink (because I didn’t plan on drinking here but had to get something because of the credit card minimum) and Victor was understanding and kind and actually refilled my water, as I decided,, unlike other bartenders tonight.

    Deep, dark, divey, and meets all your local pub needs.Pool table in the back room. Great music - kicks off the evening with some old rock, and as it gets toward make-out hour they round out the evening with Marvin Gayes crooning.The bartender had a solid read on the crowd, and he knew I was not a beer girl. Made me some blueberry vodka lemonade that did the trick. He was chill, unpretentious, and honestly is the reason why I added a star.I asked him about the name, hoping and hoping that it has something to do with Wind in the Willows. And sure enough, it does. And I love that.

    Toad Hall is a class NYC dive that you hope never closes like many other legendary spots in the city. I prefer coming when the bartender Taylor is working. She is very seasoned, friendly, and makes you feel right at home. Wanting to stop in a bar alone as a female can be intimidating, but when I know Taylor is working, I can feel relief knowing I will feel comfortable enough to sit at the bar and enjoy myself. Come enjoy this NYC relic for yourself!

    Fantastic vibe. Super friendly service (the bartender looked just like Charlotte Gainsbourg and we had a great laugh and conversation about Gainsbourgs acting career), classic cocktails made well, regular drink specials / happy hour specials, and a nice reprieve from the pretentious attitude of SoHo. Very much Brooklyn vibes and drinks are affordable and well made. Will definitely come back here again!

    Weve been in town for a couple of days having traveled from Chicago to attend the Grief and Grievance exhibition at the New Museum. We were told that Toad Hall was a great place for beers, conversation and music. Is it ever!Bartender and host Joe greeted us warmly, took our temperatures, and served up our first round along with chips, a tin of Vienna sausages and a Hostess cupcake. Who does that? Brilliant!We felt safe, very welcome, and near normal. Thank you Joe and Toad Hall.

    Went in after missing an art gallery/exhibit due to traffic. Was the closest place that seemed like it wasn’t super expensive. Never been to SoHo, and honestly the experience was great at this bar. Typical place with a pool table in the back. Alright service, they had one person working the bar who was nice. Drinks are priced reasonably! Pool table is good quality except for the fact that sometimes balls may get stuck. Table top is maintained well enough. Will return next time im in SoHo.
