    Popped into this place because the menu looked good. It is old new york club design inside. Absolutely beautiful. They have live music on Sundays. It was lively and loud inside but a good happy loud. Everything we ate was delicious. The servers did not rush you. Would definitely go again when in the area.

    Please ungender your restrooms!!! We had an amazing experience with the service and the food and the restaurant is gorgeous! It wasn’t too noisy and felt private but spacious. But the bathroom experience was AWFUL. 4 restrooms - 3 seemingly single stall and 1 with multiples - the only multiples one (assuming has urinals) and one of the others are BOTH labeled Gentleman and only 2 single stalls labeled ladies! So women only have 2 single stall options and men got more than 1 multiple….All the men didn’t have to wait and a huge line for women. The bathroom was filthy in an otherwise impeccable establishment, and you’re in the heart of nyc where there are MANY people who don’t identify with this bathroom usage! I am she/her but have many friends who are they/them and this scenario is not comfortable for people who have bathroom anxiety thrust upon them by society. You can do so much better for your customers if you simply ungender the restrooms! And clean them more. Thank you!

    Fantastic place for family or friend gatherings. Its suitable for after work drinking or weekend brunch. The place was beautifully decorated, and I will definitely come back here for other events.

    Needed a nice bite late at night. Great choice! Atmosphere was relaxed with a soothing vibe. Service really went above and beyond. I was very pleased with all my options. The Royal Pimm’s Cup was refreshing and bright. The squash blossoms were quite pleasing. And I’m a huge fan of citrus and the Castelfranco salad with grilled organic chicken did not disappoint. It was one of the best salads I have enjoyed. All in all excellent.

    For my 20th birthday, I decided to eat here with my mom and we were pretty satisfied overall. When we walked in, the staff was very friendly and seated us right away as we arrived about 20 minutes early. The interior decor was unique and caught my eye right away. The mood of the place is tranquil as they dim the lights when the night progresses. The appetizers that we ordered were the pesto and prosciutto flatbread and the Caesar salad which were both scrumptious. On the other hand, my entree wasn’t so delicious as I asked for my burger to be cooked medium rare and it was practically well done. It felt like I was gnawing on leather which was a turn off but it is what it is. My mom ordered the roasted chicken which was so much better as I ate a little off her plate. Other than the overcooked burger, the service was great as the food came out fast and our server was chummy. I would suggest this place to anyone hanging out in the Midtown area of the city.

    Twas the day after Christmas in NYC, I had to find another place to eat so I checked out Valerie. I was greeted with a smile, was seated at the last available chair near the bar, and was promptly given a menu. The place looks retro, but its holiday ornamentation is gorgeous. The drink and food menus are upscale so I anticipated all being delish. Mind you this is also a crowded place. You make a drink request, it is served attentively and timely. You place a food order, it is served to you before you finish your first drink. The young-man who keeps the water glass filled did so with a smile. If you look around, every staff accepted and attended to everyone who walked through their door. The cocktails were blended to perfection and those needing ice had just enough rocks. For my meal I had a tender short rib with butternut squash puree, and it was delicious. I had a chance to speak with a nice couple and shared some laughs. Valerie made a long travel day the perfect night cap to bring it to a close.

    Been here twice, both times was able to walk in without a reservation. The drinks are great and the service is amazing. Our bartender whose name we didn’t catch was super accommodating in making custom drinks (10,000 words). Will definitely go again.

    Valerie is a nice bar in mid-town. The atmosphere was festive and inviting. It was fun to see the various office parties taking place. I was there having drinks with a co-worker. We had a reserved table. The drinks and food were very good. The food came quickly as did the first round of drinks. The second round of food and drinks were a bit delayed but good. This place is in high demand. We were asked to leave our table around the two hour mark. But there was seating at the bar. I would return especially with a big party.

    My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our experience at Valerie. The atmosphere was great and the service was even better. We started off with the amazing spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer and chose the roasted half chicken and the brandt burger as our entrees. Each dish was perfect and very filling. We topped it off with the crème brûlée for dessert. This spot is perfect for a date night or just a casual evening with friends. When in NYC we will definitely be back.

    The food and service at Valerie was great. We also got lucky with a table in the front and was able to see the whole jazz show. Aside from the food being delicious the drinks were really good as well. Everyone was really nice and the live jazz band on Sundays will always be a highlight for me. Planning on returning soon.

    What an amazing experience! We got engaged at this restaurant! My fiancé and I were so taken back on how nicely we were treated by the staff. Our waitress was so sweet in addition to the manager who just went out of her way for us. We had the NY Strip, spinach and artichoke dip. amazing food and drinks. Thank you Valerie for a special and memorable night☺️

    The atmosphere here is great. Came around 6pm, it was busy with after work folks getting a drink & socializing. And in the back were people having dinner. The place is beautiful & nice decor. The food was good, there wasn’t one thing I tried from my table that I did not like. Literally very pleased with the dishes & portions. I had a very light but tasty rose & the service was fine. Don’t really have any complaints. I look forward to coming here for after work drinks next time.

    Overall great vibe and a super cute place.The drinks were excellent!My drink was the CHE CIO, was nervous to order such an adventurous drink, but it was surprisingly good!We ordered:- Valerie Brandt Beef Burger (definitely recommend!)- Pan Seared Stripped Bass (was dry and not as flavorful as hoped).

    Amazing birthday brunch. Food was so tasty. Had the Banofee French Toast. They brought me a beautiful gold dusted chocolate as a birthday surprise. Live Jazz music. Beautiful interior. Highly recommend!!

    Went here three times, and the food and service were good! We sat at the bar each time. They had the perfect selection of music to go along with those well thought out cocktails! This place will always be on my radar when visiting NYC! The bar staff was so nice and suggested drinks according to our taste in liquor. We like it so well, well be returning tonight for our New Years Eve celebration!!

    Very nice place, excellent location to bring someone you care about. Atmosphere is beautiful. They were out of Jack Daniels ( how can a bar not have Jack Daniels? ) but the bartender was able to recommend something close to Jack. I would go back. Came for drinks on a weekday afternoon, fair bit of people lounging inside had the same ideaInterior is beautiful.. strong personality with smoked mirrors, painted tile, brass and marble.. but accented well with contrasting soft touches of floral patterns and artsy burlesque dancers on wallsDrinks were made well.. service was great.     Loved this place today. Such a nice bar with amazing vibes. Has amazing NA (non-alcoholic/moctail) options under Zero Valerie in the menu. Try the Gin Free G&T loved it so much. Then also try the mango vegan sorbet, loved it. The bartender was so sweet and nice. So, would 10/10 recommend this place.

    Ashley & the other team members made us feel at home with friendly service and Irish charm. 10/10 on the cocktails, execution and desserts. The festive holiday decor & cheer always brightens up our trips to NYC, making this an annual favorite stop. Highly recommend stopping in, you wont regret it!

    Absolutely had a fantastic time. Was in New York for the Holidays and went into valerie with the family.Everything from the appetizers to dessert was amazing.Our server Tulin was awesome and knowledgeable with the questions we had and the manager was very kind and welcoming. 10/10 would recommend.

    Was looking for a place to drop in for brunch on Thanksgiving and saw this beautifully decorated for Christmas bar/restaurant. Pictures dont do it justice.Had the omlet, which was good. Coffee wasnt bad either. Service was good. Super friendly guy.Almost gave them a 4 because there was nothing for vegans, so my friend had to go down the street to get something to eat. However, they were kind enough to allow her to eat the vegan food she bought from another restaurant in their restaurant. That was really kind of them to do.

I’d highly recommend the Crispy Tempura Green Beans — the portion was generous and they were delicious!     Upon our arrival, both my wife and I were met with the most gracious people that showed us to our seats. Having a walker was not an issue, their sensitivity and willingness to help me, made the trip to Valerie 5 stars. Furthermore, their culinary skills and excellence, made this worth the trip. The waitress was equally talented, where her pleasant demeanor and personality, sealed the deal as a wonderful evening.

    Valerie is one of my favorite bars in NYC. They do a very good job with their cocktails. The food is pretty good but sometimes, they can be a little too generous with the salt. The staff is friendly and attentive but service can get a little slow when busy.

    Nice bar, great drinks, good food and good service. We were hanging around when we decided to go check on this place. The ambiance is really nice. Personally I liked the high sealing as well! Big space where you can go with you friends or co-workers and unwind. It was pretty busy when we arrived. We stood by the bar for a couple of minutes and then the hostess lead us to a high top. We ordered octopus, bao buns, truffle fries, carpaccio and Mac’n’cheese. We did mostly family style. The food was good. The drinks were great! Nice place if you are around the area.

    This place has a classy feel and look. The food is little heavy on the sugar. Great cocktails, but again a little bit heavy on the sugar. We also enjoyed suck fat dipping with our fries, who knew it was a great combo!I would recommend the owners to sound proof the venue a bit, the whole restaurant becomes an echo chamber when it is full with guests.As for guests, I highly recommend this place during quieter times, either early evening or much later in the evening. Then it is a great spot for a date.

    Gorgeous decor, attentive service, good food, great cocktails (9 Valkyries and Intermission) and an extensive gin menu.A dozen East Coast oysters to start was nice, they were petite oysters, really sweet and fresh. The mignonette was very vinegary and needed more shallots for flavor. The wagyu beef carpaccio was delicious, the crispy sunchokes added a nice crunch and it was well dressed and seasoned (recommend). The grilled octopus let us down, it was quite tough although everything alongside it was good. Crispy Brussels sprouts were good and the roasted nut medley and dried cranberries rounded them out well. We rounded this all out with some Valerie truffle fries - highly recommend. Delicious and very generous portion. In the end we were so full we didnt even end up getting entrees.

    Excellent food - we had the spinach and artichoke starter, the salmon and a flatbread for main and the shortbread for dessert. All food was delicious; our stand-out was the spinach and artichoke starter. We opted for wine, which was attentively poured for us throughout our dinner. Christopher was our server and his service was excellent, we couldn’t have asked for better. We were even served complimentary fizz as we told them we were there for our honeymoon. We attended on a Tuesday in October and the atmosphere was lively and warm all evening. Highly recommend!

    Such a beautiful restaurant. Has a lovely, warm, speakeasy vibe. The food is all delicious: from the truffle fries to the flatbread to the burger.     This is an absolutely gorgeous place. The interior reminds one of restaurants from an episode of Mad Men and the service is incredibly responsive and attentive (they have a GREAT team).I enjoyed everything I ate (the salmon and the roasted cauliflower starter, with the starter really taking the cake), however the two people with whom I dined barely touched their mains, which is a damn shame as they were not cheap, and did not seem to find them very tasty (they ordered the Korean BBQ chicken sandwich and the burger).This is the only reason I cannot give five stars. Actions (in the form of barely-eaten meals) speak louder than words.

    The ambience of this place is absolutely incredible and it’s easily one of the best bars in town when it comes to vibe and service.However, my boyfriend is a huge whisky aficionado and they didn’t have one whisky based cocktail on the menu. So we left without actually ordering any drinks.

    Really delicious food and drinks, amazing ambiance, and very nice aesthetics! Wish we had been seated somewhere with a view of the bar and wish that it was a little more affordable (dropped $100 including tip for probably 2 drinks, the main, and dessert), but they were also very accommodating about us being late for our reservation. Will definitely be coming back at least for a few drinks!

    Really good hidden gem. I got the Spicy which is one of their specials and I have to say it was good and smooth at the same time.     Showed up for Sunday brunch without a reservation...no problem...seated immediately. After getting settled at our table we were greeted with fresh baked biskets and whole-berry jam. I had the omelet and my wife selected the smashed avocado toast. OMG, when hers arrived, it looked a bit like a variation of eggs Benedict. Both meals were served with a fresh greens salad. The food was amazing and the staff were pleasant and efficient. And as a nice plus,, they have live music at brunch. This is a must-go restaurant if you are in the area.

    The Ahi Tuna was delicious and fresh! End up coming two nights in a row just to eat it again. Went at happy hour, and they had a great deal with $1 oysters, which went well with the dish. The staff was nice, and the service was just a tad slow, but ok. Will be coming back for that fresh Ahi.

    Great decor.. and has a spacious bar where you could stand and socialize or you could get yourself a table in one of their two color themed rooms. Definitely try one of their cocktails. I tried the waiting game made with gin and bitters. The color of the drink is beautiful and its so well mixed. Super strong and bitter!!! Happy hour prices are good-$11 for that pretty cocktail ( aint getting this price anywhere in Manhattan)We tried their truffled portobello flatbread( its really good- highly recommend) and their eggplant small plate which looked great but taste wise was nothing great. I will come back here for a Happy hour.

    Delicious food, good cocktails. We went for sharing appetizers but each one could have been a full meal on its own. Surprisingly good oysters for $1 during happy hour, duck wings were delicious and the fried were great. The cheese board was a bit underwhelming but that may have been due to the remaining deliciousness at the table.

    Came here for my birthday on a Wednesday night ,- after work hours I had been wanting to come here since 2020 but they were closed from Covid-19 ( and also I like Gin and this is a Gin bar ! ) Its very crowded- very popular- and gets noisy with the afterwork crowd ! So keep that in mind , but I like a lively spot sometimes. We started with a couple bites from the Happy Hour menu (thats from 5-7 M-F ) we got 14 of the $1 oysters and the Charcuterie plate but requested it be just cheese and no meat . The Spanish Gin and Tonic is delicious, definitely get one ! I also got a Gin and Tonic from the Gin Library menu made with Fords Officers Reserve gin but in my opinion its more of a sipping gin as opposed to a Gin and Tonic gin . Just stick with the Spanish Gin and Tonic. The beet salad with feta and pistachios was unique and complex . My friends drink the Wayfaring Neighbor was complex and tasty too. My salmon was very good also with corn sauce and shimeji mushrooms . Everything was good. Recommended. This is a few blocks from Grand Central Station and the locals definitely like to come here for oysters and booze ! Great place and the staff was super nice too. Make a reservation, it does get crowded .

    A very atmospheric bar restaurant, we visited after a Broadway show, it is a very good combination. The drinks, service and atmosphere are fantastic, 1 star is missed out of 5 because of the food. Our expectations considering everything else were higher! Still it’s excellent for drinks and especially for gin lovers (as we are) since it offers an astonishing selection of gin based cocktails.

    Came here for the happy hour specials and it did not disappoint! The oysters were $1 with the purchase of a hh drink. We also got a burrata flatbread and parmesan truffle fries, both of which were delicious.     This place was amazing! If youre looking for a fancy (but not too fancy) place to spend a little extra (but not too extra) and impress your friends with, then this is the one.The atmosphere is very beautiful, but still manages to keep a chill vibe. The waiters and waitresses were very attentive and professional.Most importantly, the food was superb!! I went with a group of like 10 people, so I got to try a lot of dishes and they were all delicious!! Dont be fooled by their so-called flat bread, its actually a full-blown yummy pizza!As for cocktails, I only had an old fashioned, but it was very well made. Everything about this was place is just so on point. I cant wait to go back!

    This is a classy cocktail bar in midtown Manhattan. It’s a couple blocks away from the massive crowds of Times Square and Bryant Park so there’s less foot traffic right outside which is nice.The signature cocktails were $17 each so a bit pricey but standard for Manhattan and each of the two that I had were very good.This would be a good spot for a date or just to stop in for a well-made cocktail to sip on and unwind.

    We were in New York celebrating my 60th birthday and for Thanksgiving. My husband researched Valerie because of their Creme Brule. It was a pleasant surprise. We went for Happy Hour. The service was outstanding. The food was delicious, and the cocktails were on point. They absolutely did not disappoint with the Creme Brule either! Oh, and the oysters were the best!Later that night, we came back and went to Madame George, which is next door and downstairs from Valeries. The live music was good.     From Ontario on a vacation at Broadway, walked by this restaurant & what caught my eye was Ahi Tuna Tartare, & for my partner the Sweet Shrimp Bao Buns. We made reservations that day. Everything exceeded our expectations. Nick our server was great, in particular as Im a sommelier, I appreciated that he didnt pop the cork from the Cava we had. The Peach Tree Oysters from Virginia & Blondies Oysters from Connecticut ( best ever). We loved it so much we wanted to come back to for happy hour (4-7) where the oysters are $1 each.Heres one of the best parts of our experience. Our Broadway show started at 7, but you needed to be at the theatre for 6:15. Theres no downstairs seating for happy hour on the main floor, but there are tables on the 2nd floor. The manager informed us that if we come at 5 they could seat us there. When we got there the next day at 5, we were informed that the 2nd floor had a private party, but they did reserve a table for us on the ground floor. Excellent customer service. Lastly, the wines and cocktails were great. Word of caution regarding Happy Hour, it gets crowded very very quickly. Theres a reason why people love coming to this restaurant.Planning to have this restaurant as our traditional annual visit to Broadway.

    Great cocktail bar, pretty much all of the drinks we tried was very well executed. But we loved the food even better. The crispy duck wings were absolutely amazing, and so were the truffle fries. Service was good, even though it was pretty crowded on a Thursday night. Weve already been here quite a few times and will be returning more

    What an awesome space! Valerie has a totally, beautiful atmosphere. The crafted cocktails are fantastic.

    Really good date spot. Cocktails are $17 which is a bit pricey but you’re really paying for the ambiance more than anything. They have an upstairs area that looked cozy but since I didn’t have a reservation, my date and I stayed at the bar. Great staff, beautiful ambiance, amazing drinks. What more can I ask for? 5 stars.

    Stopped here with my boyfriend on our weekend getaway. The place looked busy but we got seated fairly quickly. They also took our coats to store in the back while we dined.The waitress was relatively slow at getting our order and food out. At some point we accidentally blew out the candle at our table but no one came to relight it (when we asked a few times because the restaurant was very dark).The food was delicious. I absolutely loved my braised short rib. It was very tender and all the elements of the dish came together wonderfully.We also ordered a burger with a different sauce and pickles. They brought it completely incorrect. No pickles and wrong sauce. They did bring the sauce and pickles in the end; however, when we asked for extra sauce they brought the wrong sauce twice so we just gave up on asking again.
