    Absolutely loved our experience here! We seated immediately, the atmosphere and surroundings were really nice, and the food was great! Service is slightly slow, but really good still. Highly recommend for a hang out with friends or a date calamari is excellent, and the drinks are good always have a great time here.

    The atmosphere was great, and the food was good. I loved the shrimp tacos and calamari. They also have gluten-free options. Unfortunately, rooftop seating was unavailable due to the winter chill. Overall, its a great place for lunch, and I plan to go back for cocktails.

    Friday March 18, 2022 first time visit with coworkers for dinner. This place is spacious. You have indoor (much quieter) and outdoor(Sports bar rooftop) dining. Very friendly and accommodating . Food, Service, Music is good.Excellent service given by our waiter Steven/Stephen is was AMAZING and very PROFESSIONAL. Of course we will return and recommend. Flat Pizza bread is excellent!

    Pleasant restaurant / bar to spend a night! We came an hour to midnight on a Saturday weekend and were seated promptly and kindly. The vibe was very chill, last call around half an hour before close. The fried calamari was good, wings a bit disappointing, the drinks were honestly average, but the atmosphere made up for it all! Would come again.

    Nice place with friendly stuff. A lot of space but terrace was still closed.I had a small lunch there and that place wasnt busy at 2 pm.Food was fresh and it took about 10-15 mins to cook it.But if you looking for a really nice view - thats not it.

    I expected the breakfast would be very expensive here since the restaurant located in the high-end area, but it actually was very decent price.Great atmosphere, excellent food and super awesome service. Nice place to start a day. It was sad that the outdoor rooftop closed during winter, but will definitely come back again for the bar. :)

    LOVE THIS PLACE! We traveled here from Chelsea and it was totally worth it! We ate at the rooftop dining there and needed something new! Versa is aesthetically appealing, GREAT BRUNCH, and super friendly staff!! 10/10 recommend!

    Spacious restaurant with many delicious food options and drinks! Restaurant has an inside and outside area. The outside area is covered by a roof that can open to let in sunlight. Patio area is small but comfy & cozy.Would highly recommend this place for a bit to eat, drinks, and to hang out with friends.Bar opens at 11am on the weekdays.Hostess is very bubbly too! Bathrooms are down the stairs which are next to the hostess stand.

    This place is no longer called Rock & Reillys. It is called VERSA. It has been versa for at least a year now. Not sure why Google hasnt caught and corrected this.I have been here for lunch. It has a great view! I do believe the rooftop retracts as well and allows for a true rooftop experience.This visit was for a private film festival event. The bartenders are top notch! The staff is very nice and friendly.It is a great option for corporate events and other private affairs.

    Great ambience, location, food certainly 5 stars and the rooftop view is perfect yet cozy. Smooth aura and diverse friendly crowd. Great place to socialize or relax or pick up women ( all women well groomed n professional aura yet eagerly seeking. ) staff was pleasant. My only inconvenience was the drinks. The worst 🍹 margaritas Ive ever had in my life. I RETURNED the drink and I DO BELIEVE in response the same drink was slyly returned. Straight sour water each time. Otherwise the prices are actually not EXPENSIVE a tad lower than long island. The FOOD is breathtaking...best ribs...truthfully the FOOD is the bomb.I would recommend but the drinks smh terrible. Good luck and DONT GET ON THE ELEVATOR without pushing your destination or youll be stuck on their until it goes to the top floor n many stops etc youll regret that.

    Great place for breakfast. We were visiting New York from the UK and on our last morning in NYC we wanted to have a big American breakfast. VERSA more than delivered with delicious food and first class service. I had an NY breakfast with slab bacon and my partner had the avocado toast without an egg to make it vegan plus a portion of fried potatoes. Both were delicious and suitably BIG. Highly recommended!

    Hidden gem 💎, nice place to enjoy drinks. After quarantine menu leaves you with a few choices of food, but what ever we picked did not disappoint. Super fast attentive servants, and a big plus all measures are taken to prevent the virus spread, temperature taken, hand sanitizers are available, great job!!!

    Great service, really fast and food was great. We mentioned our server we were in a bit of a time crunch and she certainly made magic. Great selection of beers and cocktails were really good, well crafted and generous. The was a DJ performing with a great ambiance. Roof was closed due to weather but it must be really good when its open.Certainly recommended and would consider to return

    Went with a group of friends after church on a rainy Sunday. Our server was so thoughtful and kind. He took great care of us! I had the ribs which was DELICIOUS!! Others got the wraps/burgers and salads which they all loved. At the end the people who worked there also came and brought us drinks that they used to take promo pictures. Great atmosphere and place. Highly recommend!

    I highly recommend dining at Versa, beautifully designed and match your need, If youre looking for a quiet classy dining, they have an indoor zone,or if youre looking for a nice Rooftop experience with some cool music this is the place too.The food was perfect, and everything we ordered had excellent quality and tasty.Prices are very reasonable.The service was above and beyond from our waiter. The manager checks all tables and will make your experience a great one.They also have charging stations, which is big plus after a long day in New York, taking photos and navigating.

    Certainly not upset about finding this beautiful rooftop restaurant for a weekday lunch. Easy to find and took the elevator up to the restaurant. We were quickly seated. We didn’t have reservations but that wasn’t an issue at all.The drinks and apps were delicious. I’d definitely come again as soon as I can!

    Amazing restaurant in the heart of the city, located conveniently next to Penn Station/MSG. Great views of the Empire State Building from the rooftop and an overall lively environment with exceptional staff. I will definitely be back soon!

    I’d say this is a casual but elevated sports bar. Comfy booths, decent amount of tv’s, plenty of seating. Service was kind, attentive, and very quick. The Caesar salad was good, I added chicken, and my friend really enjoyed the French onion soup and risotto. We had no issues getting a reservation either. Some of the cocktails sounded great but neither of us were in the mood to drink. This is a nice spot, nothing super special about the experience but no complaints either.

    Great outdoor patio lounge. Hostess was very accommodating even though we missed our res and got there late.We told them we had limited time before we had a show and they had us in and out in 40min. Food came out very fast.The crunchy taquitos and carnitas tacos were great. Not sure how the wings and ribs were but they looked good.Only wish this place had some more gluten free options. The menu I saw online had gf bread options for burgers and sandwiches but they don’t have that anymore. Gluten free options were the tacos, taquitos, branzino, salmon and one or 2 more things that are naturally gf. No gf substitutes for pasta or bread.They had a DJ which was initially annoying cause I don’t like yelling over dinner but his set slapped. Some of the smoothest, most interesting transitions. Love the way he blended songs that would not seem related but had a similar vibe.Historically, 34th St has been a food desert. But clearly, that’s changing.This place surprised and delighted me. 🎉

    Definitely some of the best hotel food Ive had in my many years of traveling for work and pleasure. Nice cocktail, too. The servers I had were nice.For gluten-free folks like me: They do have GF bread. However, their menu is not well labeled for allergens, there are very few GF-labeled options, and I had to ask, Is the omelet really the only GF option for breakfast? before finding out there was GF bread for the avocado toast.A more clear menu would be more hospitable.

    This bar and restaurant is an amazing choice for date night, meeting with clients, or taking a friend out. The service is excellent and attentive, and the food is so good!!! We shared calamari and I had the baby kale & arugula Caesar salad which I have to admit is very close to beating my favorite at sweetgreen. I’ll definitely be going back soon!

    I originally made a reservation for a co-worker to dine here for lunch. So when they couldnt make it I decided to go in their place so I wouldnt have to cancel. This restaurant is so lovely inside and the food I ordered was really good. My Versa Burger was cooked perfectly and the Truffle Fries were absolutely delicious. My server Lorena was friendly and attentive. The menu may seem quite limited in options, but they have a good selection overall. Prices are pretty reasonable as well. I will definitely stop in again in the near future.

    Stephanie did an amazing job. Was attentive, had an engaging personality & was a delight!The food was excellent, hot and served quickly. Generous portions!Unfortunately the bartender was not a great dancer when moving to the music, lol!The music was a bit intrusive so maybe lower it quite a bit to allow patrons to visit.Recommend unless you dont enjoy a lot loud music.

    If I can give 3.5, I would. The service is good, but the food menu is very limited. Its more of a place to drink. So the food menu, the tuna tar tar doesnt taste fresh, although the good sauce hides it. The mussels are weird with lemongrass, its not bad but weird. The sliders are weird too, looks like very savory, but its sweet from the bun to the pork to the pickles. Anyway it was a challenge to all my taste buds. Again its not horrible or bad, but its definitely weird surprise. The atmosphere is good.

    6 Star 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 service here especially our waiter Sam, thanks for a lovely evening my new friend. Me and my fiance really enjoy eating out in the city, but we really appreciate it when the staff are always wearing their masks during our visits to restaurants. Our waiter Sam kept it on the entire time as well as the entire staff did too, as I always say safety always comes first even when everyone thinks everything is ok! This location is one of The cleanest restaurants Ive been into in a while from the lobby in the downstairs area to the elevator. Also The walkway to the host, the restrooms, the floor plan everything spotless as soon as we walked through the doors. I felt extremely comfortable eating here and the service was superb, a little bit pricey but well worth it. I ordered a salmon with steamed broccoli and My fiance ordered an American burger(So delicious), both of our meals were cooked perfectly and very tasteful!! Afterwards we had a glass of wine each red for me and if course white for my lady. We took our wine glasses and stepped out to the outside terrace, They have a stunning view of the city and the empire State building in the distance (just a few blocks away). I added some pictures of our meal, views, staircase, which was spectacular. A quiet evening on their outside terrace staring into the city. Hope this review helps you guys out. We really did enjoy our evening at this location. Hope you guys enjoy someday...

    Not overly crowded on a Thursday night but definitely has that club/lounge hotel bar feel for better or worse. Food was pretty good, loved the pumpkin fries. Was a bit loud despite being at maybe 60% capacity you had to raise you voice to hear over the music, not great for a date if you actually want to get to know each other or to catch up with old friends. If they toned it down on the weekdays instead of pretending it was a Saturday night it would have a chill vibe and 5 stars

    Rarely do I ever take a doggy bag home when I eat at a restaurant. However, the food at Versa is exquisite, tasty, and overall it was an amazing experience. We went there for our company holiday lunch. Needless to say, the food just kept coming out with Everything being well cooked well seasoned and noteworthy.So my favorite was the Norwegian salmon with a side of lemon mashed potatoes, can you say mouth watering and scrumptious 😋.. then I had the steak with fried vegetables... oh my god.God.. then they put calamari on the table...To sum it all up... go there .. eat you will leave very , very happy..

    This restaurant is inside of the Renaissance hotel. The wall of windows gave an outdoor vibe to the space. There are heat laps and the roof opens up for fresh air which is pretty cool.I went for a business lunch. I had the Norwegian salmon and my coworker had the Cobb salad. Both meals were filling and tasty.

    One of our favorite spots!!! As season ticket holders at MSG and attending a few concerts before, we love going to Versa before any of the games / concerts. Such great energy when you arrive. The food and service are top notch. Definitely try the flat bread pizzas, kale salad and the burgers!! Service is amazing always wanting to please and make you feel welcomed. The summer time when the roof top is opened its a fantastic place for happy hour and drinks the view of the Empire State Building is so beautiful. You will not be disappointed, its a gem in Mid Town!!

    Came here for a quick grown up breakfast. Saw in the reviews there was an outdoor kind of section - confusingly called a roof top bar by some. Even the pictures are a bit confusing. So heres the deal. Its all one place in the Renaissance hotel on the fifth floor. It basically has three connected sections. The first area is entirely indoors - keep walking you get to a middle section that is covered but has a retractable roof and is next to a third section that is completely outdoors. The outdoor section appears to be for drinks because of all the high tops. There are a lot of TVs on the walls clearly making this a sports bar kind of place but refined. Theres even a real recording/broadcasting booth where a show or recording was going on when we were there. The waiter was eager to tell me that the restaurant was independent of the hotel, in case anyone thought this was going to be Marriott food. Plus they had been open for only a year so everything was clean and new. For breakfast, just a couple of options but they do offer a breakfast buffet. I got the eggs Benedict and the wife got the Norwegian Benedict (smoked salmon and creamed spinach version). The eggs were beautifully poached (a little overdone but we are a few minutes after being served). The ham was surprisingly spiced and so I didnt need my usual Tabasco. Service was attentive - two waiters almost competed to serve us. But that was probably because it was pretty empty. Also probably why they also gave us complimentary mini croissants. It was a bit pricey but youre paying for the ambiance and the privilege of eating at a new hotel. Note that the immediate area is a tad sketchy but this looks like a great place for hanging out after work before jumping on the LIRR back home!

    It is a great place, with outdoor space makes it great for whoever is concerned about pandemic(at least while is still warm outside). It has some good options for finger foods and a few drink options.Depending on the day of week, there will be DJ and depending where your table is, it might be too loud to have a conversation.

    Good cocktails. Retractable roof... so we were here when it was a colder season and the roof was closed but hear in the summer, it opens up for that real rooftop experience.Had a mix of charcuterie, shinto peppers, nachos and sliders. Id order each dish again.The atmosphere was fun and lively but mature at the same time. Great feel.

    Great music , went on a Thursday night. Had to book online but there’s space so you can walk in. We sat outside and had drinks. Everyone was great. Kudos to the staff , we ordered the verba burger , fish . Food was nothing special. Bottle of champagne was good . The views were ok but nothing really different. But it’s a very good happy place. Good and clean and I recommend for a nice causal dinner and drinks

    Excellent upscale sports bar with a great vibe. The food, service and ambience are certainly elevated from your typical sports bar, and every seat seems to have a solid TV view. For vegetarians, the veggie burger is unique and delicious. Its also typically not overly crowded.

    We ordered the chicken & waffles & the white truffle breakfast sandwich. It was truly the best chicken & waffles I’ve ever had. The hot honey & gravy really took it over the top. That was also the best breakfaat sandwich we’ve had! The truffle was subtle, but the flavor was awesome. Fries were cold & disappointing but I wouldn’t even knock off a star for that because everything else was lovely.

    We were staying at the hotel and were really pleasantly surprised with the bar and food Versatile had. They had a Dj, sports all over the Tv’s and high energy atmosphere. Recommend checking it out if you are in the area.

    Has such a good time, forgot to shoot any pix of the food! It’s inside a Renaissance Hotel next to Penn Station. 6:30 pm reservation on a Wednesday night in February. Packed and noisy, but the crowd started to melt away by 7:30 as folks caught trains home (am guessing). They have a tented outdoor space and I was told they have a small ice rink, too, during the day. My burger and blisters shishito peppers were perfect. I’ll be back.

    Best food I’ve had in quite sometime. I love an eclectic menu and this definitely had just that. We came here for my sisters bday the other night and wow, was everything delicious. There wasn’t one single dish tried that wasn’t great! I highly recommend the veggie burger, pumpkin fries, the gluten free macha donuts, the burrata app., and omg the flat bread cheese pizza was to die for. The burgers were great too (not just the veggie one lol). I also want to thank our wonderful waitress Shantel for such amazing service. Can’t wait to come back and only ask for you to wait on us!! Thank you so much Versa, for making my sisters night so special and for such incredible food. It was a night we haven’t stopped talking about!!

    A little bit on the pricey side but the place is quite nice. Its located above the Renaissance Hotel so dont be taken aback by its entrance. Proceed straight thru to the elevator lobby and make your way up. The bar is huge with indoor/outdoor portion. I wouldnt say its a rooftop with a view of the city but it is elevated.

    Came here for the first time on a Wednesday, enjoyed their espresso martini and tuna tar tar avocado, just wish they came with more wonton chips.     A great place for cocktails & happy hour. I met a new friend here and we had a great visit. Our reservation was cancelled because we were running a little late but they quickly tried to accommodate us and found us a table while we waited at the bar. Our bartender was very nice and made our cocktails as ordered. Once we were seated, our waiter was friendly and attentive and the food we ordered came out quickly. All the apps were served hot and delicious.The views from the rooftop of the Empire State Building were a fun bonus feature. I would love to go back one day--the weather was perfect, making it a great place for after-work drinks.

    The place is now called VERSA. Renamed and redesigned.Its on the fifth floor of a hotel. Good ambiance, reasonably priced. In the winter months, try to avoid sitting in the open area surrounded by sliding glass walls; they are often opened and closed, and the cold air makes it uncomfortable. Other than that, a great place.

You are jamming, dancing and having a great experience all while dining. Decor was also on 10, waiter was on 100….. our waiter was Steven. You will be lucky getting Steven to wait on you, he was entertaining us, he danced and party all while keeping it professional. What waiter does that, our girls night out was AMAZING!!!!
