    I liked this bar. The decor is nice. The service is good and it has a good happy hour. Prices are reasonable but I find that the Jameson is pricier at $14 than at some other bars Ive visited.

    Had my husbands 30th birthday party here over the weekend and it was the BEST time. We reserved the back room. They were so helpful with all the questions I had throughout the planning process, and they were so accommodating. We ordered our own food and brought our own decorations. The waitstaff was INCREDIBLE and didn’t miss a beat with getting the whole party their correct drinks on time. The music was perfect. We danced all night. Will definitely be having future parties here!!!

    Chill vibe. Either an all-day or one-and-done bar. I’ll be back for a comedy show. Wish they were a UNION/TabbedOut bar…would be perfect for the outdoor service area 🤳There’s a sign above the entrance that reads “you’ve been here before” …and some believe that’s the name. Love it!Sweet bartender let me charge my phone behind the bar 🙏

    Fun, local spot with great drinks and happy hour. We stopped by and ended up meeting a friend. We enjoyed some delicious margaritas. Bartender was attentive. In my younger years I recall some wild late nights with dancing in here. Happy to see it’s still going strong.

    Such a cute bar! Came to meet some friends and the bartenders are very nice. The front room is average sized and the back room is a little more spacious. They also allow you to bring food in since they don’t serve any. Will certainly be back!

    I booked a couple tables in the front room for my Birthday. Brenton was super helpful to set up the reservation and was very responsive. When getting there, the host promptly greeted us and showed us our area. Throughout the night the bouncer also checked with some of my friends who came later if they were apart of my reservation which was very kind. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a fun bar to go out with friends or host an event! The process was seamless.

    I already loved this bar, but recently hosted a party here, and Brenton the bar manager made it so easy to plan and was super accommodating. Not expensive to reserve the back room (or the full bar), making it great for parties on a budget. We were all able to grab (many) drinks from the bar without waiting forever for our drinks which is always a huge plus at crowded spots. Music is always fun for dancing. Highly recommend!

    Just hosted a birthday party in the private space in the back room, and we all had a blast. The rest of the bar was crowded that Saturday evening so we were super grateful for the private space. We even had a personal bartender for the first part, who was extremely friendly and attentive! Would definitely celebrate here again.

    I reserved a section of the bar here for my birthday & it was so fun! The music is great & the manager, Brenton, made it super easy so I had nothing to worry about. He’s super communicative and answers all your questions. Would recommend for a night out or birthday/event! It was booked the night I was planning, but they also have a back room you can reserve for larger parties!

    I celebrated my 28th birthday here this past weekend! My friends and I had the best time. I immediately got our wristbands for the open bar and the servers were quick to give us our drinks throughout the night. We got our own section in the bar which was also really nice. 10/10 would recommend!! I will definitely be coming here again and maybe having another birthday here in the future.

    Ive said this before and Ill say it again: this is my favorite bar in NYC. From the drinks to the vibe to the employees, this place feels like home. Brenton, Lu, Canción and the entire staff all make every experience worthwhile.I love this bar so much that I had my 30th birthday party here and it was an absolute blast. I highly recommend hosting your large parties of 40-60 people in their back room.If youre looking for a friendly place to get tastefully drunk, look no further.I walked in a stranger but I left with a bar full of friends.5/5

    Reserved the back room for a party, and everyone had so much fun. The staff was so friendly and helpful from the time of the booking throughout the entire night of the party, and I cant recommend Vig Bar enough. Would totally have another event here in the future!

    Wow, what can I say - Brenton and his staff are incredible. My husband and I did a small wedding and used the back room at Vig Bar on a Saturday night and had the time of our lives with friends.     Come in on Sunday while we waited for our table at a nearby restaurant. My sister and I each got a drink, around 7pm so it wasn’t too busy yet. A comedy show going on in the back room. Bartender was nice and patient with us while we chose our drinks.

    Came here for my birthday on the weekend. This is a spacious place, and it gets packed by 11pm. You can reserve a booth by emailing them ahead of time. There is a back-room and dancing and jolly atmosphere. Im not sure if they serve food there, but it would have been great to be able to order some finger food, like fries or sliders or pigs in blankets. This place is definitely a favorite now. I also loved the neighborhood. Theres a pizzeria about a block or 2 away, open late night. Its good to stop by there for some greasy goodness if youve had a few drinks.

    Came here as part of a bar crawl, wasnt particularly wowed by anything the place had to offer, but its a nice spot to hangout with plenty of space both indoors and out. Would definitely like to come back under different circumstances to get a better feel for the place. They seem to be more like a Jack of all trades kind of place.

    This is a cool place just off the Bowery. The crowd is lively and the drinks are perfect. Say high to Brenton behind the bar and he will make sure you and your group are having a good time. They often have a DJ and people are dancing with big smiles on their face. During the week there have been impromptu smash brother tourneys, food pop ups and other fun surprises. It can get packed on weekends so plan accordingly. Definitely a chill spot to visit south of Houston.

    Great bar and one of my favourites in the hood. Great music, good crowd and good friendly bar service. The DJs normally put down an eclectic mix of music and given the size of it you might find yourself right next to them playing their records. It gets busy and a little cramped but thats part of the experience. There is often a line at weekends so if you have your heart set on this place try and get there a little earlier.I always ask for a Vig Lemonade. Not sure exactly what the concoction is as they took it off the menu years ago, but is potent and tasty

    One of my favorite places to go to because of the size, with that being said you have to hit on the right night or time (early evening to start your night or late night to end it with a dance party). The crowd it attracts is a cool mid 20s - early 30s. The DJ they usually have there on a Friday is night is my favorite because he is always spinning great beats (Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Stevie Wonder, etc and the new pop culture jams).

    Can’t say enough good things! I hosted a 30th birthday here over the weekend, and it was fantastic. Brenton made everything seamless, and the service was flawless. We requested a server who was quick, on top of everything, and checked in on how everything was going throughout the night. The room is a great size/vibe with no extra rental fee. + the music was fab. Highly recommend booking an event here!

    Hosted a birthday party (~30 people) for my spouse in the back room and I CANNOT recommend this place enough!! The staff is so responsive and friendly, the drinks are reasonably priced and delicious, the bartender was incredible. If you’re looking to host an event somewhere, DO IT HERE. I imagine it’s also a great spot to just pop by and grab a drink!

    A go to bar in Nolita. Mid twenties - thirty crowd usually on the weekends. Can get really crowded in there but if you have a table it’s a good time. They have a private room they rent out for parties too. Good place to sit when it’s not reserved

    Very recently had my own birthday get together at Vig with a large group of friends and loved ones (almost 30 of us) and it was a phenomenal night! To echo many of the other reviews, Brenton and the bar staff were super accommodating and communicative. When I was initially brainstorming birthday ideas this year, I felt overwhelmed at how complicated planning may become for a big group - but I can happily say planning my get together at Vig Bars exceeded my expectations at how seamless and simple the whole process was. Overall had the most fun experience and totally suggest any other Winter birthday folks or anyone in general to look into Vig Bar for their event -- you wont regret it!

    Went here recently and loved the atmosphere. The energy of the staff was great - I love places where everyone has character. The drinks were all great, and the menu is hilarious.     Decent bar that has a lot of outdoor seating because of covid. The staff is pleasant and attentive. This review is in Feb so it was pretty cold after an hour. They have heater above the benches but it still gets cold in 32 or below weather, especially if theres wind so dress up and go socialize!

    After contacting 25+ different places, I chose Vig Bar to host a surprise 30th birthday party and it was the perfect spot! The GM (Brenton) was so easy to work with, answered my many emails/questions within minutes, and even fully coordinated a late night pizza delivery for me. We used the private back room which easily fit 50 people and I was able to bring in decorations and a cake. Drinks and music were excellent and we stayed for 4 hours. Cannot recomment this place enough!

    Tasty drinks with good specials. Delightful bartender (Brenton). Owner happened to be in during our visit, and he and his companion were also incredibly friendly. This is a dark and chill bar with a cool vibe. I’ll definitely be back!

    The Vig is a L-shaped cool lounge bar with low sofas and intimate booths, ideal for a happy hour in Nolita or a after dinner drink. A less crowded than its famous neighbor Sweet and Vicious. It’s also a lot less pretentious than most places in the area and while it’s popular as an after work drink destination I would say is a perfect spot for an after dinner or some catching up with friendsDecent prices and friendly staff add to the laid back vibe. The cocktail menu boasts both classics and creative options. Definitely worth a try!

    Vig Bar straddles a very happy medium between a chic and elegant nightspot, and a nice neighborhood joint. It is the bar staff that ensures the place is neither pretentious nor divey. Having gone to Vig on many occasions, albeit mostly during happy hours and early evening, Ive found the bartenders to be extremely friendly, approachable and knowledgeable on the cocktail repertoire. The El Rico from their menu (jalepeno tequila based) is one of my favorites, though they would be happy to make you whatever you are in the mood for. Music is great, and they have a DJ there every night. The place is on the small side, especially for busy weekends, but there is also a back room to alleviate the crowding. Crowd is mature and laid-back- late 20s - late 30s. To the beer drinkers out there, they sadly do not have any draught beers, and only a selection of about 8 bottles.
