    Friendly staff, good beer, decent price. Very close to Penn station/moynihan station.The prices are close to the bar inside moynihan station so its probably not worth coming out for a drink. But I learned it by experience. Next time Im at moynihan station, I will rather have some drinks at the bar at the station

    If youre from colder regions(think northern Europe) youll like the non familiarity. Andrew is a force to be reckoned with behind the bar and while small talking. Otherwise: drinks are cheap, theres free darts, toilet is fine

    Met my wife here through her sister who bartended 30 years ago! Just stopped by with our daughter prior to Roger Waters show at Madison Square Garden to show her where we met!Friendliest pub in NYC! Gina who worked there then and still does, ran out from behind the bar to meet my daughter for the first time recognizing her from pictures! Had a great time with Gina and a few of the regulars from back in the day!

    Place was very clean, and easy to get to. Not to mention, Wayne was such a great bartender, and so great to talk to! If you’re leaving Penn Station, or waiting for your train this is the spot to have a drink or kill some time. I’ll def be back, thank you!

    My boyfriend and I were visiting New York this past weekend. We are doing a little exploring and happen to pass by Walters. We figured this looks like a cool spot lets try it out. Ended up spending a few hours there and had one of the best experiences at a bar ever. One of the bartenders, Olivia is phenomenal. Shes absolutely hilarious. She mentioned that we should move to New York and mentioned that she was looking for roommates. So hopefully if when we come back she still there and still looking for a roommate lol. AWESOME PLACE !

    Went here while in NYC - Chris and Andrew are the best! Ended up finishing every night In this bar we were here because we loved the bartenders so much. Crazy girl who apparently is friends with the owner was hassling the patrons and bartenders which is too bad. Other than her the bar is an A+ in my books and Ill definitely come back!

    This is my go to after work or pre-game/concert bar. Lowest prices in the neighborhood with a great selection of domestic, imported and craft beer and a fantastic craft cocktail menu. Theres weekly trivia, thursday night karaoke and darts so theres pretty much always something to do out here. The staff is fantastic and they go above and beyond every night. Couldnt ask for a better spot in the neighborhood!

    Best bar in the whole damn city. I still miss that irish F&$% Francis. But with new change comes new experiences. Great everyday working blue colar types that range from comedian/actor/improve/magician/ to architect/policeman/traveler/raging NYS fans. Always a good time and the staff personable. Easy to talk to and quick on their feet.

    I stumbled upon this bar after a tedious day of shopping. Dive bar with PBR, pretzels, and chips, SOLD! As soon as I sat down, I was treated by a very friendly bartender named Liara(sp?.) She gave me very fast service while still engaging other customers. She introduced me to some of the regulars and I felt at home in no time. A few PBRs and shots of Jameson later, this is now my new favorite bar! Highly reccommend this place, kickass bartender, And the Jameson doesnt suck either!

    I can’t say enough good about this place. The bartender was so friendly and served us right away. She came over to chat and tell us about the area. She knew most people’s names at the bar. This place has the small town feel that’s impossible to find around here. The owner of the bar was sitting there too and chatted with us. He is prior service, Marines. Everyone was so friendly. The prices were great. I’m so glad I found this place in my neighborhood. I will definitely be back. Excellent establishment!

    A really great bar. The beer is cheap, the bartender was lovely and the locals very friendly. Just a shame we didnt find it sooner in our stay. You will not get ripped off here and you certainly wont spend close to $8 for a beer!!

    It’s been decades since I’ve been at a bar where all the patrons are dancing and singing with each other. People of all sizes, shapes, colors, ages. Literally everyone singing and dancing.     Really fun casual bar. Karaoke night had a dozen or so great but non pretentious singers. This particular night i sang one good song and another that would have been disastrous but the friendly crowd joined In and not only made the song better but rebooted my faith in the people of this great metropolis of opportunity and opportunists who can some times over shadow the good folk like those at Walters the night i happened to stop by.

    Came here upon the recommendation of my AirBnb host; turns out its his go-to bar for casual hangs, which is just what I was looking for. It was a Saturday evening but not too crowded yet, and I enjoyed a pint of beer at the bar while watching some sports. The bartender was really nice and made a point of checking in on me periodically without being obnoxious. The beer prices and selection were good, and I had a nice relaxing time. its a totally chill, attitude-free joint, from my experience. When I walked past a few other times on different nights the crowd size seemed to vary, so perhaps some nights are more relaxing than others.

    I dont normally write reviews, but this is my first time in NYC and Walters is the first and last bar I went to last night!! That one sentence alone should say it all but just in case you need more; it is a sports bar, not to big (which I love) and a DART BOARD! sore :D It has single bathrooms (one for him and one for her), high top tables, at least three tvs and an AWESOME bartender, Learra. You can tell she knows her stuff. She was very friendly, prompt, knowledgeable, and funny! Thanks for the first impression as they are the most important. Oh, they do not serve food but there is a yummy pizzeria very close by.
