    Great experience in a rooftop bar . This bar on a 30rd floor. It has nice inside view and outside lounge area. You can take some pictures with beautiful view . I like it!

    I came to Skylark with a couple of friends to enjoy the atmosphere, and this place did not disappoint! Having a reservation is a smart move but not really needed. Once you are upstairs, you get seated and attended to very promptly. I ended up having a couple of drinks and the fried cauliflower. The cauliflower was a bit oily, but the taste was good. The real plus of this place is the outside deck area. If you want to take pictures it was a nice spot but way too many influencer types. I will definitely be coming back again.

    We had a very cozy evening after our shopping day. the bar is on the 30th floor, a beautiful view, centrally located near timesquare. the staff is very cordial and dedicated, also a very friendly security staff, the drinks very fine and we had small mini burgers. thank you very much we will be back.

    The Skylark Rooftop Bar is a classy rooftop for a drink and some light appetizers on a night out in New York City. They have unique and seasonal cocktails which taste great and are at the expected price in NYC (e.g., ~$17-24). The ambiance is nice, with music but not too loud to not be able to carry on a conversation, and a mostly indoor space with great panoramic views of the city (and an outdoor standing area if the weather is nice). The staff are great and attentive. We ordered some french fries to munch on but they were pretty over-fried and just nubs of the fries.

    Had a nice time here.Prices are a lil high but the food is pretty on point. Reasonable size portions of fries etc.Anyway, its busy but has a nice atmosphere. Service is cool, steak skewers are expensive but really tasty. Delicious.Garlic mayonnaise complimented the fries perfectly. Spicy tomato sauce was ok for me but my wife didnt like it for some reason.The cocktails we had were nice.Friendly staff.8.5/10 would recommend.

    If you’re looking for an experience and to try delicious cocktails - this bar is the one. I can’t wait to go back! We loved the watermelon cocktail, forgot the name. The view is awesome, they have shoot pool and several photo spots where you can get photos with the view without disturbing other guests

    Had a HH with a vendor here recently and it was a great experience. While there were multiple turns to take to get in, the signage and staff were helpful. Food, drinks and service was great too. Recommend for an after work meet up or night out with friends after 8pm. I loved that it wasn’t crowded.

    What a fun way to end an evening in the city. The multiple door people, the winding hallways, stairs, elevator to get there made it feel like an adventure to a speakeasy. The Skylark elevator button was a great touch. Highly recommend for a special night.

    When we first arrived I was a bit confused on why I was so adamant about enjoying our first sunset on our trip here. We had a nice booth table but the view was lacking. I had to go back and look at photos I saw taken here and then realized it was the patio that sold us on this spot. The patio although it is very small and cramped has a phenomenal view and a cute ringlight to help take great photos. We definitely took advantage of it. My advice would be to not bother with a table and reservation and just go grab a drink at the bar and enjoy the patio. Our table was only used to order our drinks and hold our coats.

    Such a good spot to take visiting friends or family. Best view inside is only on one side of the bar of the empire state. Recommend upstairs and going outside as there is more space on the empire state side.. but then again more standing rather than seated outside. Make a reservation for a good seated spot inside. Drinks were good and food was mostly snacky bits.

    One of my favorite spots to hang out in NYC. Yes it’s a rooftop bar in Times Square and somewhat touristy, but the interior and decor are absolutely gorgeous and the drinks and bites are delicious. They change the bites menu from time to time as well. If it’s not too warm, go hang on the roof. But I prefer sitting inside as they have floor-to-ceiling windows with amazing views of midtown + Empire State Building

    I visited Skylark on a Monday in mid September for sunset drinks, having seen it on TikTok. The entryway was cool, and after an elevator ride and a few stairs, I reached the rooftop, which was so worth it! The stunning view brought back memories of when I used to live in New York. I ordered rosé and tuna tacos (delicious!), but my friend’s dish was disappointing. The waitress kindly replaced it. However, the crispy rice and truffle fries were a letdown—overcooked and stale. The sunset, though, made it all worthwhile.

    One of Manhattan’s best insider secrets. Don’t let negative comments fool you, this rooftop is among the most amazing finds in the city. Amazing views of the Empire State / Times Square / Chrysler and conveniently located, this is an upscale location that goes from a cozy lounge atmosphere (indoors, quieter evenings) to a soft clubby vibe (outdoor rooftop, busier nights). Cocktails are expertly crafted and the staff is incredibly friendly (compared to other popular rooftops) and does its very best to accommodate your every requirements. Sure, the bouncer can look scary and it is better to book in advance, it is all the more to ensure the cozy and sleek feel of the place (never had any issues with the dress code btw). Prices are in the lower average for such a sophisticated bar in Midtown so hurry there before it gets too popular, this is a great place to make your regular spot before it becomes the next Standard. (Also, they have a very cozy room for playing pool if you’re in the mood - on less busy nights, we spent hours there undisturbed). Honestly, if I didn’t value the staff’s effort, I would keep this place to myself.

    This is a romantic place to enjoy New Yorks skyline. Its atmosphere, cocktail, and service are very high quality. If you reserve your seats, your view will be more fantastic! Importantly, the Skylark is not particularly expensive considering other NYC bars. I recommend this place to both New Yorkers and tourists.

    Way way way too crowded! Drinks and appetizers were good but the rooftop area was massively packed. Opens at 430, got there at about 515PM and waiting for a table was nearly impossible on the rooftop and ordering a drink was taking over 30min. Eventually gave in and sat downstairs. Service was great downstairs!

    Watching Live with Kelly and saw that the show had held their Christmas party there the week before we went. After hearing her description, had to go and was very glad we did.30 stories up and 240 degree views of the city which was so beautiful at night. Plus, the magic circle where you can get your picture taken with the Empire State Building gloriously in the background. Comfortable lounge seating all over the place.Specialty drink menu is very interesting and the bartender was terrific. So was everyone, as a matter of fact, the manager actually came over and thanked us for coming.Not just a bar, its an experience!

    This was my second time visiting the Skylark after not being to NYC since 2018. This time I returned with my boyfriend and we both very much enjoyed the views of the Empire State Building and then we switched round to watch the sunset. We bought some cocktails and got a snack, cocktails are around $20-$23. We enjoyed our afternoon/evening and will return when we are next in NY. Staff were polite and friendly.

    I photographed Geoff and Kevins amazing wedding here last winter. It was my first time shooting here, and as a venue its so much fun for photos. Floor to ceiling windows with views of the skyline and outdoor access for photos. As a photographer, it was fun to play with reflection opportunities. Its also a LGBTQ friendly venue and the staff were all wonderful. Look forward to working here again!

    Skylark is an elegant looking bar overlooking Midtown & could be a great date spot.Cocktails are pretty good, but food is alright. Definitely feels overpriced. The views of Empire state and the overall ambiance makes up for it though. Dress code doesn’t seem to be enforced as such.

    Exceptional cocktails with an exceptional view. I was obsessed with the layout and the decor as well as the menu for food and drink. I really didn’t mind the price of the cocktails because they were so good and you can tell a lot of detail went into them and you can pretty much say the same thing about the food. The cutest but tiniest portions but all really tasty and flavorful. another random input, they provide smaller more intimate rooms for larger groups. I saw both of them and both of them were so unique and so luxurious.. it was just a nice option. The Skylark is definitely one of the more pricier bars we visited in New York City, but if you’re able to score a table I definitely recommend to you take your time here. such a comfortable and lovely ambience. they don’t allow you to make a reservation for more than two weeks in advance just FYI.

    Beautiful rooftop bar! The views are wonderful and the food is very tasty. As expected, the prices are quite steep. But if you are looking for a romantic evening, this is a great place to go to. Service was wonderful! They were very kind. I asked if I could switch seating areas, and they were very flexible.Also, reservations are a must! And there is somewhat of a dress code. If you look like you are ready to go hiking or go to the beach, they won’t let you in.

    I visited this rooftop under the recommendation of YouTube content creator and tour guide Sarah Funk. She knows what she recommends. Because I really loved visiting this place, which is truly the only of its kind my fiancée and I went to during our short stay in the city. But we really had a good time in here. What made our time good in here was its ambiance, its cultural responsiveness, and the attentiveness of its staff.The ambience was just great for the night time. It makes you feel like you are in a club to a certain extent. Some areas of it are dark, while others are lightly illuminated. We sat in a brighter one. We were truly lucky to find a table in this area because the place was already packed by the time we arrived. Then a server approached us to give each of us a menu.The food and drinks of its menu is what makes me define this place as a culturally responsive one. I do not know how other nights go but that night they were catering to our Hispanic tastebuds. My fiancée was so happy to find Bolivian Mule cocktail made with Bolivian Singani. I just drank a couple of Mexican Corona beers with lemon as I seldomly drink cocktails myself. We also found their menu offered beef empanadas, nachos, and Cuban croquettes. We could not be any happier that night.What also made us happier was meeting the manager on duty. I wish I could remember his name but he is a well-dressed nice young man whose personality makes you want to come back. I told him Sarah Funk recommended me his rooftop through one of her YouTube videos. But he did not remember who she was until I showed him her Instagram account. He finally remembered her. I hope he offered her a free drink and meal on my name. Because I would not have known about this jewel if it was not for me watching her videos before my trip up to the city.During our stay in the city, we only had time to visit this rooftop. We were lodging close to it so we took advantage of its proximity to our hotel. We do not regret visiting it. How could we? It has a great ambience inside the rooftop and outside in its balcony, it is culturally responsive to those who are Hispanic or love Latin American delicacies like the ones we are, and the staff is attentive to your needs. If you reserve a place to stay within the Times Square limits and you want to visit a rooftop with a fantastic view of the Empire State and its surrounding, then this is your place to visit.

    Great bar to get a higher up view of the city. I would recommend to book ahead, especially if you want to eat here, but also to ensure they are not closed for a private event. The view is great, the picture of the empire state building was taken from the outdoor terrace (its fairly small!), and other two were from inside the bar hence the reflections in the pictures. You will pay for the view, $20+ a cocktail but would still recomend going.

    From the moment I arrived, I was in love with this place! Its fantastic location and luxurious ambiance are excellent selling points. Even without a reservation, we lucked out and managed to secure one of the first-come, first-serve tables near the bar on a Friday evening. However, reservations in advance is highly recommended.This rooftop bar is impressively spacious, offering plenty of comfortable seating. While its mostly enclosed, there is a small balcony for cigarette smokers, providing a great view of the Empire State Building. You can catch a glimpse of Times Square and the Ball Drop, and other landmarks of the city, but the views are not that breathtaking as from some other bars around the city. Nevertheless, being here made me feel like I was right in the heart of the city!The luxurious contemporary décor, plush leather seats, intimate lighting, and overall vibe of the place appealed to me. But what stood out the most was the fact that it was quiet enough to have an actual conversation with friends! Yes, there was music, even a live DJ next to us, but the noise level was perfectly balanced, allowing us to comfortably converse without raising our voices.When it came to the drinks, I couldnt fault any of them. The eponymous Skylark cocktail, with its intriguing color and taste was great. However, it was the Watermelon swag that stole the show! It was a perfect combination of alcohol, juice, and ice, sweet yet refreshing. The finger food portions were small, I dare to say tiny, but everyone raved about the Herbed dusted fries with truffle. They disappeared within minutes!Unfortunately, the service was a letdown. It wasnt particularly friendly, and there seemed to be a lack of attentiveness. No one came to take our drink orders or collect empty glasses. It was disappointing to receive below average service in such an upscale and expensive establishment. While the main draw is the view, poor service can quickly overshadow the entire experience.I noticed some comments about a dress code. Personally, I appreciate it when people dress up for the occasion, and this place definitely calls for it. While some may consider it bougie, I find it classy and elegant—the kind of place where you go for an experience.Its a pricey place and can be challenging to get into, I imagine. However, if you manage to secure a table, you wont regret spending a little extra here. Its truly worth it, and I had an amazing time!Visited in June 2023. Paid by card.

    This is an incredible lounge/rooftop. Very private and upscale. Vibes are on point. Drinks/service are great. I just hope they don’t forget that great employees take it to the next level. People like Seyquan are what makes one feel at home upon returning.

Nice view of the empire state building to take pictures I love it. Place is not big, reservations recommended. Level 30th.     Think you need to have a free reservation in advance in order to dine/drink here. Your reservation is checked at the entrance on the first floor before you go in.After you go down a long, empty hallway to a set of elevators. The 30th floor is clearly marked with skylark so you wont get lost. There is sometimes a security guard in front of the elevator to direct you but not always.Once you get off on the 30th floor, theres a receptionist to direct you. Theres 2 floors to this area - the first floor is indoors and the second outdoors. On the first floor there is both tabletop and lounge seating. There is also a small balcony with a ring light to take photos.On the second floor the atmosphere is much nicer, the music is a little louder (not overly so) and there is just generally a better vibe (people dance a little). The music is the same on both floors and done by a dj.Cocktails are $20, beer is $9. Nice to have a flat price for each. I had a spicy mezcal cocktail which was just alright. Theres a nice view of the empire state building from the first (30th) floor in the balcony but its not readily visible from most of the seated area. Overall this area has a bit of a cramped feel unless on the outdoor upper floor. I think its a nice night out and not too bad if you just want to have a drink to check it out.

    Definitely a cool rooftop vibe. Went here after a birthday dinner to continue celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday. We ended up showing up a bit late because dinner took longer than expected. Unfortunately they had given our reserved table away even though we were already downstairs and had checked in with security before our grace period had passed. We had to chill in the pool room and deal with the normal bar (which they really really badly need to expand, way too small and takes way too long). To make up for it, the manager brought us a comped bottle of champagne which was nice. Not sure if I’ll go back, cool views, but they need to work on communication between their upstairs and downstairs to make sure guests who arrive within their grace period don’t lose their tables. Otherwise you’re stuck with their regular bar which takes an excruciatingly long time.

    You feel special while you’re entering the building. You go up 24 floor and reach the lobby and then you go 2 flights up. Wednesday afternoon was crowded but we had reservation. Our seat was great and cocktails were different and delicious. Fair prices for the view. But service is a little bit slow. Would go there 100%. Some people will stand in front of you for taking photos. Just ignore them.

    This rooftop bar is pretty cool. Great views of the city and the ball drop. Although the drinks are delicious, they are overpriced. If you go to this place, you are paying for the experience.     I went here recently on a Friday night with my girlfriend. Venue is very nice. Trendy decor and tremendous views of midtown Manhattan. A great place to bring a date and impress. That being said, drinks are midtown Manhattan prices. Around $ 15 each. We ordered three dishes to share. Food was good, not great. Service was lackluster. We had to wave down our waitress every time we needed something. Also, for some reason, they have no utensils.

    Not me giving 5 stars to a bar in midtown! But my experience with the Skylark was unbelievable — great service, glitzy VIEWS, drinks and snacks were all solid. Again, I cant believe theres a place I want to return to ASAP in midtown, but here we are. Definitely a spot to consider for your next event as they have gorg private rooms.

    Perfect place to wrap up your last night in NYC. I actually wish I would came here earlier. Its so high up gorgeous views and away from the hustle and bustle below. Drinks were delicious. Staff was nice. My only wish is that they were open later. Thats why I removed a star. They close at 12pm. If they were open longer I would have stayed longer and definitely ordered more drinks.

    I had my 25th birthday celebration here on 11/3/17 and had an unbelievable time. Even with the cold weather persisting, the views that Skylark boasts are so breathtaking that you dont even mind not spending time on the rooftop. The drinks are made right and the managerial staff and other employees are very kind and helpful. I had a party of 17 and had reserved the Pool Room which was perfect to serve as the central hangout spot. The staff had put additional stools alongside one of the walls which really gave it a comfy party feel. Every area of the lounge is so sleek and inviting, you cant help but roam around and mingle. The pizza on the dinner bites menu was amazing as well! I definitely recommend this spot for any occasion from a girls night out to a formal event because its versatility is endless. I corresponded with Kira who is the office manager; she handled my initial inquiry and finalized my reservation. She answered all of my silly questions, provided me with platter and pitcher options, and informed me of the staff who would be present the night of my party, should I need anything else. You cannot go wrong with visiting Skylark!

    From the entrance door to being seated, we felt taken care of! The staff had a congruent air of genuine professionalism and charisma! I was really impressed and felt welcomed being there. The ambiance is divine with a cosy upscale flair. The dj was serving music 🎶, the host/hostess checked in on us. I 100% recommend this establishment and will be coming back.     Amazing views of New York. Even more amazing drinks. A bit pricey but then again, its got a lot going for it. Bar staff, hostesses, etc are all friendly.In case youre wondering, that weird red logo on one Penn plaza isnt for a brand. Well not a real brand. Its a right side up and upside down numeral 1.     Went on a Tuesday evening around 8 - entry was smooth and it wasnt too crowded. There isnt an outdoor area, but the view was great, overlooking part of Times Square. For a great view of the Empire State Building, there is a table in the corner near the restrooms, as well as the billiards room downstairs. I ordered the liquid chocolate truffle cocktail, which was interesting. Atmosphere was great and the music wasnt too loud. Good for conversation. I didnt try their food but it looked good. Would come again!

    Great view of Empire State but do not go without reservation, it is always full and they do no allow you to sit anywhere if you show up without reservation they prefer keeping reserved tables empty for all night and loose customers
