Really great neighborhood bar that has friendly and welcoming vibes. I don’t usually like to karaoke but I felt so comfortable here that I sang multiple songs. Bartenders were really fun and sang a few songs with us. Bring cash for the songs! But they do have an atm if you forget.

This is the best karaoke bar in New York City and it’s not even close. The bartenders are the best the music choices endless. This is my favorite bar of all of New York City. The vibes are always great. I’ve had so many wonderful memories here!! This place truly is very special to my heart. Love it !!!

  • Review 3 (2024-07-30 - Rating: 5)

Its a small inexpensive Karaoke place wthat goes from empty at 9pm to overcrowded by 11pm. Just a great positive vibe by the crowd, whether you can sing or not everyone cheers and claps.

  • Review 4 (2023-09-07 - Rating: 5)

Fun karaoke spot with friends. There’s a minimum of 2 drinks to sing and I think $1 per song for tips. The security guy was a bit rude but it’s his job to check so it’s whatever. I was holding my bag for him to check, he yanked at my bag for me to let go instead of just verbally telling me to let go… like okay…. Our group was able to secure a booth for all 10 of us to sit, so that was fun. The bar was crowded and got even more crowded past midnight. We ordered Tequila shots, jager bombs, fruity drinks. We put some song requests on and sang. At times, our songs got stolen by other people and can get a little rowdy. It was a fun experience none the less.

Came here for the booze, stayed for Esteban!

  • Review 6 (2021-04-19 - Rating: 5)

Had my going away party here this past weekend and it was a blast! We were able to reserve the back patio for our group privately. Teddy and the team and Winnie’s were very accommodating the entire night. Guests were able to have separate tabs open, and could either go to the bar and order drinks or have table service. We had karaoke indoors for anyone who wanted to sing and a great space outside just to hangout. Definitely recommend checking out Winnie’s if you’re in the area! Great neighborhood vibes and quality hospitality.

Best place for communal kareoke. So glad thats it back. The decor and location may have changed but the the atmoshpehre is old school Winnies. Ill be back here again and again.

  • Review 8 (2024-07-26 - Rating: 5)

Everyone is welcome here! 2nd floor space is a little hideaway! Low key, fun vibe, no pressure. Believe it or not before I started my nonprofit Inform Your Community, before I wrote 6 books, before I had 2 kids, and before I taught college for 20 years I went here constantly. They had a Hawaiian Punch drink that was amazing. Long since closed down, we found it again after the pandemic. Winnie, the owner, REMEMBERED ME!!!!!! Love her, love this place.

  • Review 9 (2022-07-04 - Rating: 5)

Love Winnie’s bar, as an East Asian I love karaoke bars and this one is a great one to go to. One of the only places open late night in Chinatown and the vibes are amazing, bring all your friends and have a great time, the outdoor area is a fun way to cool off.

  • Review 10 (2024-08-15 - Rating: 5)

Best place for private parties and the Friday night bottomless is unmatched!

  • Review 12 (2021-08-27 - Rating: 5)

A New York City staple on par with Katz or the Pyramid. New York City owned and uniquely a place only to be found in this city. Hosting the most eclectic clientele and NYC sensibilities. A fixture of my childhood, visit em and sing your heart out.

  • Review 13 (2022-01-21 - Rating: 5)

Had an amazing night, great drinks, great bartenders and great vibes!

  • Review 14 (2022-02-01 - Rating: 5)

Open karaoke people can sing along and dance. Bartenders really nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend friends and family here.

  • Review 15 (2019-03-17 - Rating: 5)

The old Wnnies is back. Its different in some ways but the same in all the ways the count. Its a bar with karaoke and welcoming strangers and incomprehensible videos. I loved the old Winnies on Bayard and I say the heart of the old ways continue in the new location.

  • Review 16 (2023-06-20 - Rating: 5)

Such a fun spot. They have bottled miller high life so my Chicago soul was singing.

What a vibe! If you’re looking for a late night karaoke spot with charm and plenty to drink, this is your spot. It’s crowded on the weekends but what good spot isn’t? Come with a good group and you’re guaranteed a good time.

If theres a song you want, theyre almost guaranteed to have it. Fun staff, good times.

  • Review 28 (2021-05-26 - Rating: 4)

Bar businesses are OPEN and super Busy. Need minimum 3-4 bartenders for the great crowd!

  • Review 29 (2023-10-14 - Rating: 4)

Tipped the guy .9 cents on a 13.1 drink to round out to 14.00 instead of the usual 1 dollar that I tip. Dude at the bar was super rude and didnt let me play me song that a put a 1 tip gratuity on. Ignored me for the longest time, then got my second round of drinks and when I pointed out that he picked up everyones song requests but my own he said (rudely) You only tipped me .90, Made me cry in the bathroom, he was that rude.

  • Review 30 (2022-08-18 - Rating: 5)

Great unpretenscious spot to just chill comfortably, or perform like theres no tomorrow!

  • Review 31 (2023-10-23 - Rating: 5)

Havent been to the new location yet, but Winnies was one of my favorite places to go in NYC ever, I seriously feel like I have a reason to live again finding out they still exist.

  • Review 35 (2023-10-27 - Rating: 5)

Enjoy it before the landlords and developers get their hands on it.

  • Review 36 (2023-10-28 - Rating: 5)

Honestly, I came here because of all the reviews about the bartender/karaoke mgr and he did not disappoint, lol. He was FANTASTIC! His attitude was actually a part of the charm and matched the dive bar aesthetics. My cousins and I called him The Legend.Hes totally himself. If you act annoying hell check you. And if you come in good spirit, hell dap you up. That authentic behavior made the whole bar feel like a large group of old friends turning up! Too real, lol.Plus he and the security guy (we called him Bruce Lee, cause he had a Bruce Lee shirt on) can SANG and they didnt mind lending us background vocals. I mean they can SANG!We got there around 9p when it just opened and watched the spot fill up pretty quickly. So Id suggest coming in early if you want to vibe with The Legend and Bruce Lee. Let The Legend run the show and do his thing (have fun with it. smile and dont argue. This aint Chik Fil A). And youll have a good night.

Karaoke? Great Bartenders? No long wait time? Yes yes yes

  • Review 41 (2023-01-17 - Rating: 5)

Karaoke spot. Had a blast. Theres an outdoor/pateo area. Kinda cold in the winter but if it gets full and youre moving and singing you should be fine after a drink or two in. Bring singles to tip for song requests.

  • Review 42 (2024-01-17 - Rating: 4)

I drunk cried into Jena Malone’s shoulder here so 10/10

  • Review 43 (2019-07-20 - Rating: 5)

    Best karaoke 🎤 in NYC!

  • Review 44 (2022-11-29 - Rating: 4)

Very good selection of songs but not the best. There’s a few they don’t have because they rely on YouTube Karaoke. (A bit lazy). But the sound system is great and the staff are cool.

  • Review 45 (2022-11-28 - Rating: 4)

Ive been itching to find a quirky bar with Chinese beer and karaoke streaming from a laptop running YouTube ever since the Golden Cicada served its final glass of maotai in 2019. Surprise, surprise—was Winnies a revelation. My companion and I stopped by the small bar on a Saturday night at opening time (8:00pm), and we were the only patrons there for approximately an hour. This gave us plenty of time to enjoy some Tsingtao and soak in the ambiance. Things quickly became exciting as a large crowd quickly gathered and karaoke began in earnest.Set up shop and sing the night away with the helpful staff, covered terrace, and reasonable costs.

  • Review 46 (2024-06-01 - Rating: 5)

Generous pours, takes a bit to queue your songs for karaoke but a good vibe to hang while waiting for songs

Perfect way to end your night! Great staff, small but fun spot!

  • Review 56 (2021-06-03 - Rating: 5)

Wow, so lucky to have stumbled across this place. Hidden between two non-descript looking businesses and ducked away on the second floor. Walk in, buy a beer, sign your name on the list to sing something, and enjoy the night (in that order). Around midnight, the bbq was ready to be served. The crowd and the bartenders were fun; were going back.

  • Review 57 (2019-07-29 - Rating: 5)

Came here on a Friday evening in July and it was not too crowded. Also a plus for a karaoke bar is that there’s not a long wait to sing a song. But the song selection is limited with mainly 80s and 90s jams. Bar is cash only and bathroom was clean. Cool spot in Chinatown.

  • Review 58 (2019-05-02 - Rating: 5)

A unique karaoke experience in an unassuming location. Staff are very friendly, and happy to pour you a strong drink, or a well-priced beer. Great for happy hour. Only negative is the karaoke system is not designed to be easily searchable.
