    Megan runs this show over here. Parents got married here 25 years ago so i figured id show the younger brothers around. She gave us all these recommendations (we are carolina kids that dont know ball) on places to go and i guarantee we end up here at the end of the night. She was lovely and deserves a raise.

    This bar was actually a pleasant surprise. The environment was nice. The food was tasty- I had the mini chicken tacos and my husband had the burger. Yum. Also the prices were less than most places in Midtown which is a plus.

    Great vibe here, its almost always packed. Have come here a ton and always have a good time.Bartenders are really nice, and drinks are always on point. Rec their mango old fashioned and chicken tacos!

    Food was good- friend and I got the dumplings and a quesadilla, but I think they may be understaffed. Even though they weren’t super busy, It took a while to get our orders and to get water because there was one person doing everything. Nice vibe though

    We have been coming to NYC for a few years but we never really found that comfy bar where you can pop in, get a table and have a few drinks and decent food. I feel like this is that place. Not all of the food is top notch but the chicken wrap is great and the strips are fantastic. They have a 2 bar set up. One in the front and on in the back. It is a pretty nice spot to sit , chit chat and plan the next day.

    I always have such a great time at faces. Megan always gives me such a warm welcome. It’s rare to see a manager at a bar go above and beyond for every single customer. She greets everyone as if they are and old friend. I saw her deal with a very mean customer and she was kind through out the ordeal, a lot nicer than I would have been. Bartenders Jason and Michael make the best drinks! Server Chica was so attentive and one of the best in the biz.

    Friendly staff and great cocktails. The waitress even brought the extra of the dirty martini in the shaker for me. It was busy and she effortlessly checked on us and was very kind. Open late and has good vibes.

    This place is fantastic! I frequently arrive late, and Im always greeted by their welcoming atmosphere. As a frequent traveler and grilled cheese enthusiast, I can confidently say they served one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches in the country. Its disappointing to hear that this national treasure has been removed from the new menu. I hope they consider offering it on a secret menu in the future.

    This place works great as a pub stop during the day. True to form I’m focusing on vegan options ….Theo portabella sandwich works perfectly, but needed to switch out the bun to make it work. Can’t wait for the day you tell a water you need a vegan meal and they know which options are vegan friendly!

    We have eaten at Faces & Names many times over the years. This is one of the best pub/lounge atmospheres in Midtown Manhattan. It has a nice mix of both, with the bar area in the front and the lounge towards the back. The service has always been good, the food is solid, and the pricing for the area is very reasonable. Highly recommended it here!

    Ive been a couple different times over my visits to Manhattan. A great lounge with a cozy neighborhood feel. Im writing this review to give a shout out to the bartender (name may begin with a J ? Shorter woman with long blonde hair) working on Sun afternoon Apr 14. My friend and I stopped in before heading to see MJ at Neil Simon theatre. I was not feeling well and she took notice. She made me a cocktail with bitters and ginger beer. She also got me some crackers. THEN, right before we left, it started pouring down rain. She quickly offered us an umbrella which we came back with and returned after the play. There are people in this world who just have a kind nature and Faces and Names hit the jackpot with this lady. Please give her a pat on the back. Doesnt seem like much but her actions meant the world to me that day. I wish I wouldve gotten her name. This pub will always be a regular spot for me when I visit the great NYC.

    Went here last night, and had a good time. Our server Jason was real cool and helpful when it came to the drinks. The Food was great, we had the pork buns, buffalo wings, and the mini chicken tacos. The environment was nice and laid back. Can’t wait to go back.

    A lot bigger inside than it looks from the outside . Good crowd and even better bartender , Matthew . He works his tail off and no one has to has to wait long to be greeted or served . Lots of TVs too . Outdoor seating and cool backroom suitable a group . My only suggestion is to maybe put a few creative non alcoholic drinks on the menu too . Place has been there over 35 years so I’d say they’ve got a good handle on this bar restaurant concept . Go see them .

    Amazing decor, good food and friendly staff. I really enjoyed their selection of craft cocktails. This bar is a hidden gem in the heart of NYC. Highly recommended. The schedule sometimes changes so double check their website but they also have trivia night on certain days which is always a great time!

    The food was great. Although its more associated with a bar setting, my family was accommodated well by being seated in the lounge towards the back. We got a variety of food and the prices are really good! The buffalo wings, chicken tacos, burgers, fries, California club were all hits! My family enjoyed the beer and I loved the toasted Marshmellow. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

    This place is always consistent. Good prices for NYC and especially nice for a quick bite and drink. Love the snack items, especially the crostinis.

    Went for an afternoon drink and some appetizers. The place is calm and nice at least the time we went. The bartender and the waiter were very nice! They had a special on Rosè so had to take that. Cheese balls were great tasting with the sauce. I am surprised I liked the mustard with the pretzel bites even though it is not my thing. So overall good times. I recommend it!

    Our bartender, Michael was great! We went in for lunch and he suggested the pastrami sandwich. It did not disappoint. Delicious.We will definitely return on our next visit to New York!!

    I have been coming here for years when I visit NYC. I used to only go here if I stayed close by, but now I make a point to come by no matter what. The bar keeps getting better and more happening each time I go. My fiance and I happened to stop in on their 25 year Celebration and then went back 2 more times on our last trip. They serve food until 2 AM and have a good atmosphere. Laid back, but lively enough to keep you coming.

    Popped in for a drink and stayed for a burger. I am an introverted introvert but my guy wanted to take me into the city seeing as Im from California and never walked the streets of NY. This place is an absolute gem. The ambiance reminded me of Industrial Lifestyle kit on The Sims 4. Loved the overall vibe, decor, people, food and drinks were strong. Will definitely visit again. I had a great time and my social anxiety didnt flare up not once.

    Great food and friendly bar staff. Good after work crowd and buzz. Nice to escape from the madness of Hilton mid town crowd (tourists and conderence goers) if you are staying there as its just around the corner and you can mix with real New Yorkers !

    Great midtown spot, can get busy during the happy hour but still worth a visit. Staff is friendly and plenty of seating. Best seats are by the window and big booths or the bad. Haven’t sat in the back area yet. Come early for happy hour as it fills up.

    I always love going here as it is right near where I work. During lunch time it is not too crowded. Though I miss Lisa (a great person), the current staff is very nice as well.They have appetizers as well as meals and they are reasonably priced. There are TVs all around as well as great caricature artwork and photos of celebrities. There is a super cool fire place but for some reason it always feels cold - lol.You can make reservations for a group event if standing room only, but not really great for a sit down event of more than 10 people. However, do not let that deter you from going - it is a great place.

    Given the location, its surprisingly less crowded than it should be, and not in a bad way. The decor is dark at night, and the chairs in the back can be arranged to accommodate large groups of people. Two bars mean that you dont have to fight too hard for drinks, which is also nice. Speaking of drinks, they are about what you would expect given the location ($7-$8 per beer) but the bartenders are top notch. I havent tried the food yet, but will make a point to next time given the good reviews.

    This place was fresh!! Was looking for a nice spot to have a few drinks and went here on a recommendation from a great friend of mine. This place is deceptively large. Has two well stocked bars, one in the front and one in the back room. The front area seems more akin to a sports bar with high chairs and tables. However in the back is where IMHO is the best spot. Brown leather couches replace those high chair and table sets, along with more speak easy type lighting, and a fireplace that they can switch on if its a really chilly or cold night. They do have two large flat screen TVs in the back but this area seems more for chilling than watching games.The neat thing is that you can do both. On the walls are picture frames of different celebs that I think have frequented this spot. Its done quite decoratively and can spark conversation.Lastly the cocktails were really good here especially the White Russian. Not many places get this drink right.Ill definitely come back here again to watch a futbol or basketball match.

    Great service and vibe! Since our hotel was next door, we were walking by and a man was sitting on the stairs and started chatting with us. Turned out to be the manager, Jessie and he was so hospitable. He ended up giving us great tips on the best pizza and invited us in for a drink.But he sure does know how to manage this place! Every staff member was so nice and on top of things. The place wasnt too crowded that late at night but everyone was having such a good time.We didnt eat, so I cant speak for the food. But if the service is any indication I bet the food is good. Next time we are in NYC we will be back!

    Came here with a large group on not too big of a notice and they were super nice and incredibly accommodating. We are in New York twice a year with a large group and always have a tough time, but Faces and Names was the best we have dealt with in years.On top of that, bartenders were incredibly friendly, prices are good, and the decor is unique and good. This place has now become a favorite of mine and will be coming back as often as I can.

    Several times here and definitely one of the better bars. Good food. Great drinks - kudos to the bartenders who always get the cocktails right. Always a good crowd but please no babies or youll be asked to leave. Happened to a friend.

    Loved this bar.Our hotel was a block up from this bar and we ended up going a couple of times on our trip, great choice of drinks, good music choice and nice staff and atmosphere. We didn’t eat here but the menu looked great too.

    Great gathering place or nice stop after hours. Drinks are great. Multiple flexible spaces to congregate with friends and coworkers. Cozy or corporate seem to both fit here. Only knock is that there are better food opinions IMHO nearby.

    Had a pretty good time my one and only visit. Not a lot of places to hang my coat upstairs since I was at a bar on the wall, but plenty of TVs to watch the football game, wasnt too crowded, and good prices for Manhattan. Food smelled great, but I didnt try any. If I could do half stars Id give it 4.5.

    My group reserved the area in the back where theres a fireplace. Trending music over their system & cozy seating. Very casual. Good food & drinks & reasonably priced. Great location & very nice & attentive staff. We have made going there an annual event for Xmas. Only a few blocks away from the Rockefeller tree.

    My husband and I visit NYC often and we always stop in to Faces and Names for a nightcap and snack. The staff is great with a special shout out to Annette. She is just great! When we come in and she sees us she greets us with a big smile, a hug and asks how we are doing. She seems to remember what we drink and what snack we want to enjoy. She is a true gem and an asset to the business. She treats all the patrons with respect and always has a smile. All of the staff are great and the manager is very friendly. We thoroughly enjoy this place for the food and service. The big screen tv’s to watch our METS is an added bonus!!! Thank you Faces and Names. See you soon!

    Had a company outing here after the JPCC. the staff was actually amazing, always letting me know in a very polite fashion what our limitations on drinks were and if the tab was open. As for the food I can only speak to the finger food passed at our event. The sliders were pretty darn good, but the star of the show was definitely the chicken tacos, OMG soooo good. brought some home for the wife and she loved them as well. great way to see game 1 of the NBA finals. Will definitely keep faces and names in my bar itinerary.

    Can you have a great time in New York? Yes. Here you will find a crew that is not only skilled with the art of making cocktails but you will find that on return your preferences are not only remembered but communicated from bar tender to bar tender.     One of the best bars in midtown! Chica is the sweetest, most attentive servers/bartenders. She made sure we were happy the entire night and anticipated our needs even before we realized we had them. (also the fries are bomb). I will definitely make this a regular haunt. 100/10, do recommend. EDIT: omg I was so excited to write this that I completely neglected to write about the incredible bar manager Megan. She checked in on us, made sure we had extra fries, and we had almost matching flannels! Meg’s just do things better.SECOND EDIT: Jayne… when Chica had to attend to other tables she made sure we got the next round of drinks as soon as possible. Her energy is glorious.
