    Had after dinner cocktails here with my co workers. Loved the chill vibe and music. The view was incredible from the hotel penthouse floor. Highly recommend the Electrolyte speciality cocktail.

    What a fun place. People dancing or chatting or whatever. Really good and strong drinks with a very fun atmosphere. Went on a Thursday nights and they had a DJ with great music mixes too. Almost forgot to mention the views. The inside heated area with the glass enclosure was gorgeous and could go outside with the heated balcony with beautiful roof views.

    Ive been to Kimberlys a handful of times now throughout the years, and the views are always so pretty regardless of the weather or pandemic. However I was bit disappointed at how mediocre the food has gotten. I went a few weeks ago and ordered the hardest pancakes Ive ever had. Almost stale? But the views and service were great and my friend loved her Mediterranean eggs. Just wish theyd step up the food considering the price range and location.

    Stylish and enclosed rooftop with a lovely patio in the back adorned with an exquisite fireplace and several heaters. Definitely try it out this winter when there are less customers.

    Love the unli pop corn! It’s good to nibble on something while waiting for your food. Ambiance is amazing and staffs are pleasant and accommodating. Food is very delicious! Fast service too!

    The perfect escape after a long work day! Upstairs was exactly what we needed to unwind from the week and enjoy the city.Now that spots are re-opening, we’re committed to the #NYForever movement and supporting our local destinations. Upstairs has fabulous views, great rosé and a nice selection of small plates.PS - If you want the exact table for this view, you’ll have to get there early.     Walked into the area where it said upstairs downstairs and got confused because there is another restaurant downstairs. You need to take the elevator upstairs. Besides the confusion this place is great! Lighting is perfect, drinks are great and the food was good. Recommend to come try

    Came here two nights on holiday. It’s such a lovely, positive and friendly vibe- both in terms of the customers and the barstaff. The bartender also remembered me and my girlfriend on the second night, giving me a fist bump and my girlfriend a wave as soon as we came in. He even poured me a free shot when I bought my second drink of the night.The drinks they serve are also pleasantly strong… never like it when I can hardly taste the alcohol in my drink.It’s a dollar to request a song to sing.

    Ambiance and service were top notch, wait staff friendly. Stephanie on the bar made an immaculate cocktail and Luisa (I think a manager) was not only engaging and responsive, but a wealth of knowledge on the city. Definitely recommend!

    I had not been to Upstairs at Kimberly in eons and was so happy to see that they were still open. My friend and I were due to meet elsewhere and that bar was super loud and packed so we hopped over to Upstairs at Kimberly. Special thank you to Sophia (Sophie) who was so sweet and accommodating when I called and mentioned that I wanted to sit outside. She was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Likewise our server Emily that evening was fabulous: super attentive, kind and professional. My friend and I ended up dining downstairs at Bistango (delish) but Ill definitely be back! Love the atmosphere, setting, ambiance and everything else about Upstairs at Kimberly!

    Upstairs is located in The Kimberly Hotel. Upon entry The Kimberly is a show stopper. The lobby is immaculate & smells amazing. When you take the elevator to the penthouse you’re greeted by polite, beautiful servers & hostess. Like seriously they must hire aspiring models only. The view is beautiful on a lovely day. The weather was just perfect for this rooftop bar. We order a French 75, Mimosa, Lobster Roll & Truffle Flatbread. The Truffle flatbread was amazing and the arugula gave it a tangy kick. The fries on the lobster rolls were pretty good. Perfectly salted. The lobster rolls were tasty. They werent stingy with the lobster either. Definitely would recommend and return.

    I had the best chill night at this place. I must say the staff was EXCEPTIONAL. Very attentive, polite, really taking care of us. It was my first time there and I was very impressed.     What a wonderful time with the amazing view, drinks, and welcoming services. For a moment, we forgot the stress and enjoyed drinks with dear friends.It’s very popular here. Highly recommended you book a table online first. If your party is big (we had 10 people), email them via their online booking.     This place was pretty great all around. Promptly seated at arrival (a little before reservation time.) Views are pretty nice, especially of the Chrysler Building.Nice selection of specialty cocktails which were good. Cheese board and coconut shrimp were very good as were the grilled lamb chops and chicken satay. Finished with chocolate lava cake which was also tasty.Service overall was good, especially the busing staff.DJ played a nice selection including some retro ‘80s and ‘90s, though volume could have been a drop lower.Prices are to be expected ($22 for cocktails) but overall an enjoyable evening.

    Went here for drinks before dinner on a Saturday and it was lovely! Drinks were absolutely delicious, unique cocktails. We got a cheese plate which was great, but the coolest part was that they give you complimentary truffle popcorn to your table which was so good and a great touch! Only took off a star because our waitress was a bit cold but it is a really cute place to grab drinks in the city! I believe they require a reservation to get a table due to covid so make sure to book ahead of time.

    Good variety of drink options, nice views of the city. We split the guacamole and chips, which was quite a small portion, to be honest, but it tasted good. I was a bit bothered that I was asked if I wanted to be seated indoors or outdoors and when I said outdoors I was put in the area where people go to smoke. I wasn’t even warned about it and then had to wait a good 10 minutes until the waitress came back so we could be reseated. That should really be mentioned upfront if you’re going to seat someone in a smoking section. Especially these days when most places don’t even have a smoking section, indoors or out.

    Oh I loved it here. Surprisingly it was my first time here, & definitely not the last. Phenomenal views , especially of the Chrysler building. Staff were patient & great. Ambience and atmosphere was beautiful. The espresso martini was done perfect. (pricey) but city wise and view wise understandable, & worth it. I got the pizza & it was delicious. Definitely recommend to make your way here.     Came here to celebrate with my company on my departments one year, and was really excited to celebrate at Upstairs. One thing for sure is that this place has an amazing view of midtown, especially of the Chrysler Building. The staffs were super friendly, apps were delicious, drinks were super tasty (but could be a bit stronger), food was good overall, and most importantly, the view was just spectacular. One thing that bugged me a little (just a little), was that we had a large group, so we had one of the corner sides which was kind of tight and clustered. Overall, it was a great place to hang out and to just take in the citys landscape.

    What a beautiful place!! Breathtaking views on Manhattan skyline, very elegant and classy decor, great and friendly stuff, very tasty food and delicious cocktails! I celebrated my Birthday there with group of 10 people, and we all had an amazing time. Highly recommend this awesome rooftop for any occasion, hanging out with friends, cocktails after work or going on romantic date and enjoying a beautiful scenery.

    They didnt have record of our reservation for 12, despite our organizer calling the day before to confirm. While we waited, the bar area was crowded with pushy patrons and snooty bartenders. Eventually they accommodated us in a space that was intended for 6-8. Our waitress was okay.The atmosphere was outstanding, including spectacular views, a retractable roof, heaters, soft lighting and very comfortable leather chairs.The large cheese board was fantastic! It had toast & grapes, which is typical, but also had dried apricots & walnuts - yummy!I had an electrolyte cocktail and a honey breeze cocktail. Considering how tasty they were and the atmosphere, I thought the $18 price tag was reasonable for a roof top bar in Midtown.

    Great view of Chrysler building, great full menu (not just snacks), fun party vibe. But i wish the service was a bit friendlier - our waiter had a frozen poker face (though a pretty one) without a hint of smile and was not super welcoming. You have to make a reservation to get up there, the downstairs guy was very strict about it.

    Nice and somewhat unknown rooftop bar, enclosed in glass for the summer which makes it very nice. It has a nice view of the Chrysler Buidling and of Rockefeller Center. They have a nice list of drinks, and some bites. Its not huge so it can get loud, but if its a day in the week it should be nice and quiet.

    Great date spot if you close your eyes when paying the check. Beautiful view of the Chrysler building and happy hour special was good from what I remember. I wouldnt go here often but when I do its always been a good time. Solid 3rd date spot before a movie or an outing of some sort in the spring.

    Service and staff was great. We came past 10PM post our dinner at DB Bistro Moderne and while I didnt get to reserve given there were some changes to the plan, our wait was only minimal, 15 mins at most and then we were given a table at the back.We were a big group, initially 5, then 4 friends followed, so Im glad they could accommodate us. We were seated at the back though, which I didnt know, would mean that we would be in the smokers den. And no view, hence no pics to share. I just wish we were at least told that wed be in the smoking area, before we got seated. Not everyone likes to smell like cigarettes in their clothes and hair, and also enjoy second hand smoking right? So thats the only thing.Drinks are expectedly more pricey but if you want class, minus the touristy madness, you definitely get what you pay for.

    Went here on a date, and was blown away that I havent been to this place before!Adorable string lights hang from a totally open deck area with BEAUTIFUL views of the Chrysler building. It feels open, but also intimate. In the evenings, they pull across the glass (that looks like a sunroom with wall to ceiling glass), which provides warmth during the colder months but still offers incredible views that its known for.Drinks are a little pricey, but when you account for the view, its worth a couple bucks more for the same thing youd otherwise get in someplace far less aesthetic. I believe they have a specialty cocktail list for $18 and the wines ranged from $15-20 per glass.DEFINITELY will be returning again!

    Cool lounge that is rather secret to get to, however prepare to pay $18 for a drink. This place is located on the roof of a hotel, with a separate elevator. The best part of this rooftop bar is that if it gets cold, they can close the roof by pulling glass ceiling over it, right in front of you. They also have heating lamps if it gets cold, but I didnt think they added any heat whatsoever. You can enjoy a nice view of Empire state building from here with a date over a delicious drink, but if you show up with a big group, be prepared to pack into a really small table area, as space is limited.

My group was a fan of the Electrolyte cocktail which is a watermelon flavored drink.Food was pretty standard - we sampled calamari, cheese board, fries, chips & tips.Dress code is business casual.So... the best part of Upstairs is the ambience. Really beautiful views of the NYC skyline. This is one of the few enclosed heated rooftop bars, so it is open all year round. It has a retractable roof, heat lamps, and heated floors. It also has a really quaint small patio area.Scene: The all-black furniture makes this place a very modern and sleek rooftop lounge. This has to be one of NYs best kept secrets!. Open space and conducive to mixing and mingling. Good for get-togethers and date night. This is a great place to impress a date or to have a business get together.Crowd: 20-50s Afterwork crowd. Pick-up scene. Mostly corporate types and professionals.Service: Really attentive staff. But there is only 1 bar to order drinks from.

    This is a nice rooftop with a great atmosphere. The DJ played music that the crowd was able to vibe to. The staff is attentive and friendly. The drinks are delicious; usual NYC prices. There is not much of a view but you still see the beautiful buildings surrounding it. The hotel is gorgeous with a lot of attention to detail. This place is great for groups or a date night. Highly recommend for anyone staying or visiting in the area looking for a quick drink or 2.

    I was blown away by this place. The view, the ambiance, the service, and the food were all on point. We went into the hotel thinking we might be in the wrong place, given the beautiful interior, but were lucky enough to have found our spot. Given the experience of it all, the prices were more than reasonable. Definitely planning on making it a regular stop on our trips to NYC.
