    I came to Empire Steakhouse with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were complete floored by the beautiful. This was one of the most gorgeous interiors we’ve seen at a restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing and even more impressive was the service. Our waiter, Gentian, was extremely polite, attentive, and complete gentleman. He definitely complimented the experience. I give the restaurant 5 stars and I’m excited to come back in the future.

    Empire steakhouse East is by far my favorite location! The entire staff especially host Georgio and hostess made my birthday celebration extra special.The NY strip was so tasty and the blueberry martini was made to perfection. The atmosphere is so classy and unique, it’s perfect for lunch and dinner! My favorite steakhouse hands down

    My 2nd time here, and it was better then the first. We did the restaurant week menu and everything was great and filling. The restaurant gave me Titanic restaurant vibes. Everyone one was wonderful. Hervoje and Giorgio made sure we were well taken care. Absolutely loved this place will be back soon.

    Has to be one of my favorite steak houses in Manhattan. So underrated in my opinion. Exceptional drinks with amazing food and service. Looking for a steakhouse, I promise you wont be disappointed here.

    Gentian our server was an amazing guy! Really was attentive and made us feel at home! Coming back for sure. Highly recommend the bone in ribeye. Mac & cheese is really good (just would recommend waiting for it to cool down to enjoy the flavor profile of all the cheeses)

    Thank you to Rexhep, Alen, and especially Anthony for their amazing hospitality! I was by myself and they made me feel so welcome and loved to celebrate my 41st birthday. The atmosphere is absolutely perfect. The service was the best I have had in a long time and I travel a lot. Please recognize them. They are just wonderful and I will be back!

    We had a pleasant time at the Empire steak house, everything was great from the food to the service. Our waiter Gentian was excellent, he really ensured that we had the best experience possible in the Empire Steak house. His service was top notch, he was friendly and polite with all of us and really made our time at the restaurant special.

    If I could rate our event experience 6 out of 5, then mark it now! We had our daughters Bat Mitzvah (60 total) here yesterday afternoon. This was 6 months of plannng since signing the contract. At EVERY SINGLE STAGE, their professional service, attention to details, and personal touches made this one of the best major occasion experiences in my 47yrs! Ilda, the planning manager - so willing to listen and be accommodating helping every instance to solve little and big hiccups. She never seemed flustered or unwilling to chat with me. THANK YOU ILDA!!!! Day of the event, Georgio, was our maître d . He said, What ever you need, Ill make it happen for you. And he absolutely did too. The bartenders were fast, but talented, and kind (when does that ever happen??) They made a child guest feel special by hanging his drawing on the bar rack. The waiters and hostesses, were also attentive and they did it all with grace, promptness and sincerity... With a REAL smile. None of it was contrived or an attitude of, This is my job so whatever. 1000% genuine service. I know this because EVERY single one of my adult guests complimented how wonderful the staff were... several times! The kids had a lot of fun too, and always remembered who the Bat Mitzvah girl was. They were kind to the eldery/slow parents, and were playful with my kids. They were also kind to my vendor staff and checking on their needs. The service reminded me of old school Americana, where the staff knew they had one mission: make the guests happy, and do it effortlessly. If I ever need to host this style of event again: an anniversary, or big milestone birthdbridal shower etc for 50 - 125 people no doubt it will be here.And I will emphasize this is an authentic review. I give brutally honest reviews (read up!), both positive and negative. This by far is the most positive one Ive ever written.If theres one criticism, I will say both my daughter and I never ate our rack of Lambs (we had two bites maybe), I wish someone Would have saved it for us. Its so delicious! I do know if I spoke up they would have, but being the party host it was one thing I didnt focus on: myself! Even that wouldnt change my 6 star review, however.This is also a BEAUTIFUL SPACE! An old Opera house, very high ceilings with a majestic feel.Look no further if you want an impeccable special afternoon event or just to enjoy a sit down dinner on any night. You will be be more than delighted.**As soon I get photos back from my photography I will post them here, as I want to truly represent our experience.

    Best restaurant in the city. The set up of the restaurant, the service, and food all above 5 stars. Had Allen as our server, and he was the most amazing server my boyfriend and I ever had.     We decided on family style & it was great. The wine selection had something for everyone and for those who dont like wine, the bar was also well stocked. For dinner we enjoyed several different menu items including the porter house, A5 Wagyu ($320), and every side. The mac and cheese surprised everyone due to its rich cheesy flavor (I know thats what you expect, but this was better than most). The shrimp were jumbo size and delicious. For dessert, we devoured the plate. This is the perfect restaurant to celebrate any occasion. Its warm ambiance and elevated service made the experience a memorable one.

    I went here with coworkers after a long day of meetings. We were very impressed. I had the petite sirloin medium rare which was cooked just right. Everyone else at the table was very happy with the dinner choices that they made. We shared side dishes of mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, asparagus, among other things. Everything was perfect, except for one minor item. At a steakhouse of this caliber, you would expect the server not to be confused about who ordered what meal. They needed direction. In a regular restaurant that’s common, but it an upscale restaurant like this that was unusual. Other than that, everything was absolutely perfect. All the meals were cooked to perfection and very tasty. It was not too noisy so we can talk and hear each other and it did not seem overcrowded like other restaurants in New York. This was an excellent choice if you’re looking for upscale New York steakhouse. I would definitely consider returning next time I’m in midtown Manhattan.

    Everything was absolutely amazing. Food was delicious, their steaks are top notch, as well as everything else in the menu. I split a in-house dry-aged porterhouse with my dad and we had to take some home. The ambience takes you back to the 1950’s to the soundtrack of classic jazz staples. High-end dining and yet the friendly staff provided excellent service. Highly recommend and I will definitely be coming back

    Excellent experience overall. Atmosphere is classic NYC steakhouse . Service is top notch. Mozzarella and tomato appetizer was perfect. Charles Krug wine was amazing and reasonably priced. My steak was rarer than I like (ordered medium well). Baked potato was bland - I think it needed to be more fully cooked. Mushrooms were terrific.

    Best place to go if you have a date. The meat was delicious nice juicy and sizzling. Me and my girlfriend got a Porterhouse for 2, mashed potato, creamed spinach and steak fries. The appetizers were delicious as well. We got fried calamari and fresh oysters. The service on top of that was top 3 services I have ever had in my life. Our server Genti was amazing he even speaks multiple languages. Albanian,English,Spanish and French. He seems like he is the head waiter since he knows what he is doing and we saw him helping the other servers. Amazing server, he is definitely the one we will go to when we come back.

    Giorgio gave excellent service. Our waiter & the staff were superb and very attentive. The atmosphere & food exceeded our expectations. We live in Los Angeles and were visiting New York City for the first time. My wife spotted the restaurant when we were walking back to our hotel after a long day of site seeing.     Great food at both the bar and restaurant areas. I’ve been eating here for years and def get the oysters during Happy hour. The owner Jack is a great guy and he keeps a great staff.     Took my dad to dinner here. I loved every moment. The decor, the music playing, the service. The hosts..waitresses were super cute. All of the staff was amazing. We did find on street parking so depending on the time you may get lucky. Getting down to the food. The baked clams and grilled octopus was a great choice for appetizers. Everything seasoned perfectly. My dad had the shrimp scampi which included perfectly sized shrimp. The lamb was properly cooked and came with a mint sauce that paired perfectly. The Mac and cheese was nice and creamy. The hearts of lettuce salad had these big chunks of bacon...I love bacon. Everything about this place was beautiful.

    STOP LOOKING FOR PLACES TO EAT AND GO HERE!!! This is not my first review and it won’t be my last because this place deserves it. Anytime I’m in New York I always come here. I usually go to the Times Square location yet was in midtown so decided to try this one and it didn’t miss!! As soon as you walk in the Bartender D is so welcoming , she makes excellent cocktails .     Came here for restaurant week for a friends birthday. It was one of the few steak restaurants that actually had steak on their restaurant week prix fixe menu. Everything on that menu was actually really good too compared to bare bones of other places. And the portions are still large regardless of prix fixe. Everything was absolutely delicious! And the servers were all so nice and super friendly. You know how some restaurants come off pretentious? Well this one is not. Everyone was fabulous. Would def love to dine here again.

    Oh my goodness! The food was lovely, and the service was incredible! The staff was attentive and paid attention to every detail. We ordered a bottle of French wine, they have a great selection of choices. We began with grilled octopus, followed by Branzino, which we complemented with the Emperors steak.     I just had dinner with my family and the experience was exceptional. The service was excellent, with both the waiter and manager, Georgio, providing outstanding attention and care. When I didnt enjoy the wine initially brought to me, Georgio immediately offered another bottle, which I ended up loving.     Absolutely love this restaurant from the beautiful drinks to the melt in your mouth tender, juicy, seasoned just right steaks. They have the best oysters from the West Coast to the East Coast. We make it a point to always get our dinning experience in when visiting NYC from the Bay. It’s now almost a tradition of ours to celebrate our son’s birthday at this place per his request.     Overall it was amazing, the mushroom soup didn’t sound fond to me but after I tasted it and it was amazing for a soup !! The definition don’t judge a book by a cover, the food was amazing 100/10 fr. I am not over exaggerating. The customer service was A1 I highly recommended, especially the pre theatre menu it’s definitely worth it. Don’t second guess, GO !     Extraordinary 5 Star plus experience all around, from the exemplary food and beverages to the super attentive waitstaff to the accommodating Maitred. The atmosphere is historic in nature with the restaurant occupying an old theater while retaining several of the historic elements.     I really really enjoyed this experience. I looked up so many steak houses and really wanted to make the best choice for my boyfriend’s birthday dinner. Jas was our server and he was absolutely amazing! Super kind and even remembered that I wrote that it was my boyfriend’s birthday :). The food was perfect it was the best steak I’ve had and everything else was super delicious. We have the regular and petit filet minon and 2 baked potato’s, cream spinach, and an apple crumb cake for dessert. I definitely recommend!!!!! 100/10

    Let me start off by saying this place is phenomenal!It was our first time in NYC, and this place was as welcoming as Can be! We came here on our first night and had to come back before we left. We had wagyu on our first night and we LOVED it! We also tried the sesame seared tuna, lobster tail and T-bone steak! Mashed potatoes is incredibly creamy!The staff was super friendly! Albert made us feel at home. We came back the night before we had to head back home, and again, the staff, food and service was phenomenal.100% recommended. Will definitely be back!

    My friend and I came for a quick dinner and this place was incredible! We met the owner Jack and he was so friendly and sat to chat with us. We ordered the filet mignon and lobster ravioli as mains. My steak was perfect and ravioli tasted fresh. We will definitely be back soon!

Emperor’s steak for 2 was amazing and perfectly cooked.We asked for gluten free dishes and we were offered gluten free noodles, but decided on steak instead.They did not have any gluten free desserts (other than fruit), so it would have been nice to have more options in that category, but we were so full that we didn’t even need it!

    The food was pretty good. The calamari was light and had a nice flavor. Marinara sauce is better than expected from a steak house. My strip should have aged a bit more but the filet mignon was nice. Neither steak was cooked mid rare but still close. Staff was great. The hits of the 80s pumping through the new speakers was an interesting addition to the somber elegance of the restaurant.

    This was a fantastic steak. The NY Strip might have been the best Ive ever had. Tender and juicy, and theyve also proven they can cut it better than me! We only had the potatoes (excellent) for sides, so I cant comment on that much, but everything we had was great, including the service. Prepare to pay for what you get, typical NYC pricing.

    We visited here during restaurant week. It was during a weekday and lunch hour so not as much customers in yet. I enjoyed the salmon fillet, as it was seasoned well and the mash potato was creamy and yummy. The cheesecake dessert was great! My waiter was helpful and another gentleman, presumably the manager was very courteous to us, asking if we needed anything else. The interior is beautiful and classic, and the wine cellar display was awesome. I’ll probably be back for a proper dinner and meal!

    Of the many steak houses we could have visited, I’m extremely happy we chose Empire steak house! The portions were huge and the steaks were seasoned and cooked to perfection.     So the ambiance was excellent when we went for dinner on 12/18. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating until it felt like they got too busy. I understand being busy but the two 10 top takes made my wife and I feel ignored for awhile, but not the end of the world ignored.My Caesar salad was great and the minestrone soup my wife gave was good. Our filet mignons were pretty good, sadly not excellent. Not sure how to explain why not excellent, but both the cooks were a little off and I thought the charing a bit heavy for a filet.One GIANT complaint was the 10 top seated near us, 6 adults and 4 young kids, brought a coughing toddler. The toddler cough all the while he sat there and not one of the staff said or did anything about it. I wouldve thought in todays world that someone from the staff wouldve asked that the toddler be taken home. Not that the staff would know what the cough sounded like but I do and a non-productive striderous cough makes me think of 2 different viruses RVS and Covid-19.I would go back again so I guess if was pretty good after all

The Waygu burger was good and so are the fries Aqua Pana is a must at any high end restaurant that box is checked. There is no outdoor seating but thats not an issue it is so spacious and comforable inside. They also have a private dining room surround by high end wine for ViP or private lunches all important thing to note when living the Robert Foley Life style.     I wish I could differentiate this 5 star from the other 5 stars I have given. It truly was a fantastic experience from start to finish. From the host, to the service, the ambience, vibe, music, lights, the food (wow, muah, chefs kisses), and the drinks, everything was an absolute 5 star experience.The place is deceptively large. There are large bar/lounge/waiting area at the front of the restaurant. Then as youre escorted by your host to your table, you are brought into this grand room with a wall/wine cellar. The back room, behind the wine cellar is a great location for a romantic date night. Theres also an upstairs area, although Im not sure if thats a rented venue space or an extension of the main dining area.The staff were incredible nice and helpful with our questions. We started with the oysters and calamari (both of which were delicious). I had the sirloin steak and it was cooked perfectly medium-rare as requested, which came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I also had a couple of tiramisu martinis (similar to espresso martinis), which were both strong and tasty. I ended the night with the perfectly decadent chocolate mousse cake.

    Absolutely the best! I have dined here with my family, with my business, and I’ve hosted a major event. There is no better place in Manhattan for a good steak! Artin and Georgio takes great care of us every time!
