Had their Pappardelle al Ragu di Manzo and it was delicious and filling! I like their bread’s crispy edges too.

Great restaurant and experience.Tucked inside Eataly, visiting this restaurant gives you a good excuse to walk around the market. All dishes are very tasty, everything we tried is well worth ordering again. The appetizers are all good, plus a good selection of wine. The cuts of meat and pastas are delicious, can’t go wrong with this place.

The negative reviews we read before (especially about being rushed out) were worrying but we went for the tasting menu with wine pairings. It was wonderful. There were eight marvelous courses and each one was accompanied by a great Italian wine. The waiters were fine but the somelier was particularly helpful and nice. Not cheap, but this was worth every penny.

Absolutely fantastic! The Wagyu Denver steak is moderately sized (8oz) and was cooked perfectly, with excellent crust and pink medium rare interior. Extremely tasty even though this is not a highly marbled cut. Went very well with the Filari Lunghi Dolcetta dAlba that the waitress suggested. Topped off with excellent desserts. The sizes here are reasonable so you can have a very nice meal and not feel totally stuffed.Lastly the noise level is quiet! No overbearing music, and because the location is a huge Italian themed store, the restaurant is not reverberating with noise. Favorite restaurant in the Flatiron district.Overall reasonably priced for the quality. A great choice for a splurge and you wont be disappointed.

Delicious truffle cheese and scrumptious rib eye. Bread is a bit dry and balsamic vinegar wasnt served with it. Mains were delicious though. Yum!

  • Review 6 (2018-08-29 - Rating: 4)

The food was great and the service decent. I had the 20oz aged ribeye and although it was very good it didnt leave me with any feeling that the cost made it much if any better from a nice non-aged ribeye somewhere else. The potatoes were crunchy and tasty although possibly on the salty side. One thing that I would go back for was a ball of mozzarella (or similar) cheese with olive oil, salt and pepper that was provided compliments of the chef. Im not even sure if its on the menu, but if its not it should be.

What an amazing place to stop at while visiting New York! The staff was so kind, outgoing and polite. Gave great recommendations on wine, seafood and the bread with oil is TO DIE FOR! YUM! We had a bottle of the red Sangiovese, I recommend it 100%!!

  • Review 8 (2017-01-13 - Rating: 4)

The food is really good, but a bit pricey if you consider that you should go for the full course meal to be satisfied. However, this is NYC, so you shouldnt expect less. The service is really great and all the food we has tasted really good.

For their week menu deal was great , Dolcetto wine was great , food(Chicken , pasta with wild boar , Carne cruda and the squash !) and service great by both bartender/server, bus boy bar back and the food runner . And the Cioccolato dessert great !

Manzo is improving. After reading initial reviews of Manzo, I was uncertain whether or not to try it. Then after dining there, I might suggest GOING (the food is hitting a high mark this holiday season) with a few caveats.1. Dont reserve, and go on a weeknight, and sit at the bar. 2. Expect it to be noisy.3. Expect really good meat.

  • Review 11 (2018-12-10 - Rating: 5)

The pappardelle was marvelous! In a delicate, meat flavored sauce. The meat was really a flavoring to enhance the perfect fresh-made pasta. It’s not a meat dish, it’s a pasta dish. As such, oh, so tasty! Loved it!

  • Review 12 (2013-03-14 - Rating: 5)

The sole white-tablecloth option within the Batali-Bastianich teams Flatiron foodie mecca, Eataly, this carnivore heaven presents a delizioso beef-centric Italian menu that also features wonderful fresh pastas; being located in a bustling, noisy market is not the sexiest, and you pay for the privilege – but to most its worth every hard-earned penny.

  • Review 13 (2017-09-18 - Rating: 4)

Great food and good portions. Location is a bit hard to find as you have to go inside Eataly.

  • Review 14 (2016-03-29 - Rating: 5)

Great service - small - get there early - it gets really packed - all the entrees are delicious

  • Review 15 (2012-06-11 - Rating: 4)

The market concept is great. Good casual ambience, regular food and service. Too noisy.

  • Review 16 (2017-01-12 - Rating: 5)

The food here is amazing... Italian food that will make you think you are in Italy

  • Review 20 (2019-11-20 - Rating: 5)

Great place for lunch with fresh pasta and good wine. Best place for truffle lovers! The menu has a large selection of items, so there is something for everyone. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. We told him we had a limited amount of time, and he made sure we were able to keep our schedule.

  • Review 21 (2018-09-13 - Rating: 5)

Fine dining at Eataly. Reservations are mandatory and sometimes difficult to get. But well worthwhile. We highly recommend it. As we have eaten there several times and thoroughly enjoyed it each time.

  • Review 25 (2019-09-10 - Rating: 5)

Amazing food, great service, comfortable & relaxing ambiance. Ribeye was one of the best Ive had!

  • Review 26 (2013-08-04 - Rating: 5)

My wife and I ate here for lunch. It was a very good restaurant with a great atmosphere. I ate the pork shoulder and pasta. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

  • Review 27 (2011-07-30 - Rating: 5)

Had two spectacular lunches here. Wine list paired perfectly with the food. A couple of the pastas were literally transcendental.

  • Review 28 (2019-12-30 - Rating: 5)

Only had a stout beer, made inhouse only. Best stout Ive ever had! And Ive had alot of stouts!

  • Review 29 (2018-12-31 - Rating: 5)

This is only part of the whole Italian market known as Eataly. The food is always delicious

  • Review 30 (2018-04-18 - Rating: 5)

Aperol Affumicato looks fancy for making it but it tastes bitter & nothing is special ; however, half roast duck & ribeye (20oz) are awesome. The steak is so tender, juicy & flavored. It’s just melting in your mouth. The duck is fresh, juicy, tender & flavorful too. Make sure you try these 2 dishes. It’s not too expensive compared with other restaurants in Manhattan

  • Review 31 (2019-01-18 - Rating: 5)

I can not say enough good things about my dining experience at Monzo in Eataly. The location at 23rd street and 5th ave was convenient. The ambiance was great. Service was impeccable. Drinks intoxicatingly delicious. The food cooked to perfection (steak ). I am sharing with my friends my experience and recommending they visit this establishment.

  • Review 32 (1990-12-31 - Rating: 5)

Had the 6 course summer tasting menu with wine pairing and some of the papardelle bolognese (spicy...a surprise. but good) - pricey but well worth it - service friendly and accommodating (as it should be!) - the bread is lame, but does not interfere when used to wipe up every last drop of the sublime flavors left on the plates..Go! Enjoy!

First time to Eataly; didnt know what to expect. Manzo was a little away from the noise and chaos. Good menu, good food, but very small portions. Price was just ok...if the portions were a bit larger, perfect pricing. No sides on the dishes....

  • Review 34 (2017-12-04 - Rating: 4)

This is the Manzo restaurant located inside Eataly. The ambiance is nice and romantic. Its great for a date or a night out with friends. The room is very dimly lit. We were greeted promptly by the waitstaff and were promptly seated.Service was great. Our waiter was very friendly and answered a lot of my questions about Italian food.We ordered some appetizers and separate entrees. One dish we had was thinly sliced beef with arugula and cheese. The combination was quite delicious. There was a faint sauce (or perhaps just salt) on the whole dish and I liked the taste of it very much. For my entree, I took a gamble on this paparadelle pasta with mushroom and butter sauce. I hate mushrooms and thought these specially foraged trumpet mushrooms would change my view on mushrooms. Sadly, it didnt, but the rest of the dish was very good. The noodles tasted fresh and were oh so thin. The butter sauce was very flavorful and salted perfectly. I just left behind this pile of black mushrooms on my plate, but I ate everything else.We got dessert and loved it. I got the chocolato to share with a dear friend and it was on point. The chocolate ganache cake was really dense. It paired well with the hazelnut ice cream. The bread and olive oil were really delicious as well. Once you have high quality olive oil, its really difficult to go back to the low grade oil. I kept on wanting to eat this bread and oil combination.

Ive been to Manzo a number of times (always with a reservation before hand), and Ive always enjoyed it. The menu always has a great selection that borrows from the many shops around the eataly market. Typically the entrees are where they really shine and show the deliciousness of the Italian cuisine.I never manage to stay for dessert though as the nocciola from the nearby gelatari is way too tempting to resist.

  • Review 36 (2016-06-24 - Rating: 5)

Super amazing food. Very expensive, but very high-end.

  • Review 37 (2015-01-19 - Rating: 4)

It was a Tuesday night in Eataly. A friend and I were starving, and a little drunk. Every other restaurant was packed out. With 30 minutes until the end of the night cutoff, what did we do? Check Manzo. This place seems to get overlooked a lot, partly due to the price and partly because its segregated from the rest of Eataly. Turns out that Manzo had 5-6 tables available and was able to seat us almost immediately. I actually expected it to be nicer in there. There is a little wood paneling, some white tablecloths, a little dimmer lighting, but otherwise you have the same warehouse-ey ceiling. They should take a cue from the Arthur Ave retail market and hang some paintings on the beams or something. Our server was great, and I dont normally say that about servers. She was pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient. Clearly, Eataly saves its best for Manzo, and this is mostly the case with the food too.I got a glass of Baladin Nora, which is an Italian beer which the brewer named for his wife. Its one of the top ranked spiced ales in the world, and it lived up to the hype. It was also versatile, and paired with both of my courses as well as I hoped it would. The foie gras and oxtail agnolotti with broccoli rabe I got for my first course was ridiculous. If youre up for a dish that is incredibly rich, inventive, and worth the high prices, this is it. The fattiness of the goose live and the oxtail meld together perfect, with a very light cream sauce and small pieces of bitter broccoli rabe to give some variety. By far the best dish Ive ever had at a Batali restaurant. My friend got the gnocchi with spicy tomato sauce, which was good but not all that remarkable. For my main, I got a veal special that came medium rare with sweetbreads and corn. The veal was perfectly cooked with a charred outside, but wasnt quite as flavorful as it couldve been. It was a high quality cut, but it didnt blow me away. There were only 3 sweetbreads but they were very tasty, and they went well with the corn. This dish was good, but it was more the speed that Im used to with Batali: a high quality dish that is a bit small and pricey. If price isnt a concern, then Manzo would be my choice every time for Eataly. I dont get many dishes a year that are as good as that agnolotti. It may sicken me a bit for Batalis pompous, croc-wearing self to make the cut, but this meal will probably go down as one of my best of the year. Then again, Manzo earned it, as everything from start to finish was great. I will be back to try some other second courses next time I have the financial flexibility.
